I even offered a potential collaboration, which is something I do often with businesses. Some say yes, some say no, and that is completely fine. What isn't fine is overhearing the owner speaking about me to her staff in a rude and unprofessional way, assuming I couldn't hear it. I approached her calmly and addressed it directly. Letting her know I hear her speaking of me. She immediately changed her tone and asked what I heard. I chose to de-escalate and move on and I said I heard she's excited to collab. Just to keep the peace. That alone says a lot. Beyond that, the service overall was unprofessional. At closing, instead of communicating that they were closing, the hookah was abruptly taken from my hand with no communication as decent customer service would do, even though there were still other tables present. Again, this was the owner. Overall, between the low quality experience, the contrast between the nice outdoor setup, and the lack of basic respect and professionalism, I would not recommend this place. I suggest the owner take notes from the manager. The only positives was the managers professionalism and the outdoor was beautifully decorated. But that's it.

My boyfriend said he thought he saw lights, so we parked and checked it out. It was open, and the new owner informed us they hadn't updated the phone number yet. We showed him the offer for a free hookah with check-in and he said he would honor it. The waitress didn't speak much English and had a difficult time understanding our drink and hookah order. The place does not have their liquor license so they offer wine based alcoholic beverages. The atmosphere was mildly Egyptian themed, but the TVs reflected that of a co fused sports bars: basketball, and college softball games were on screens, along with one screen showing old shows from the 60s. The "dj" was busy smoking hookah most of the time, and before long the owner started drinking at the bar. A second bartender arrived dressed as if she worked at a strip club, complete with unitard that went up between her butt cheeks with tattoos and cellulite displayed in abundance. We opted not to stay for a second drink as the atmosphere was really lacking. It took about ten minutes to get the waitresses attention to tell her we wanted our check, another ten for her to bring us the check, and when we looked at the bill we saw that the free hookah offer was not honored, she rang up the vodka cranberry as vodka red bull (different charge) and his whiskey sour as a whiskey and coke (also a different charge). At that point we just wanted to leave and decided not to contest the bill. It took another 7 minutes to get the waitress's attention to take our card. Once she did she passed it off to the owner who took the card, proceeded to sit and drink his alcoholic beverage at the bar before getting into a discussion with the woman wearing basically no clothing. He finally handed the card off to her and she eventually ran the card. Had there not been an 18% gratuity automatically charged we wouldn't have left any tip at all. With this type of service and amount of attention given to business and the customers by the owner it will be a shock if they stay open.
