This company is dishonest and rude and I feel I should warn anyone who is considering using them. We were quoted $190 per month and have paid an average of $528 per month ($3170 for 6 months). They auto charged whatever they wanted on our card. 6 months ago we hired Simpson Pool after they came out to the house house, looked at our pool and quoted us $190 per month for weekly cleaning. Our first bill was $263. No warning about the price hike! We asked why the invoice was higher than the quote and they said "it's taking longer than we thought". Then they tell me if I want to get the price down to what I was quoted, we can buy a pool vacuum from them since ours "wasn't working." We agreed, weren't given any options for the vacuum and received a charge of nearly $600. Our bill never went down. When I asked they were super aggressive and rude in their emails, telling me I am wrong, telling me to "look at my invoice again because they are charging $255, not $263 (completely false and irrelevant)." The rude and dishonest interactions with this company and their auto charging whatever they decide deserves this review so hopefully no one else will experience this. To top it all off, after I put my foot down and didn't respond to another $577 charge for equipment (because ours is only 2yrs old) .. they sent me a generic email saying "we are no longer servicing your pool because we are condensing our routes." What a blessing that its over now and our new guy is great and charges $160 per month. Run as fast as you can from this company! read more

Very unprofessional. I called Simpson Pool for o-ring on my Pentair quad filter. I was told it was comparable to other filters and he had the o-ring. But if I open package and it is wrong, it not refundable. He said he usually ask people to bring in o-ring to compare. I given him part number 39010200 from book and stated I have pentair 80 quad D.E cartridge style filter. I just wanted to know do you have the correct o-ring. But then Ryan at Simpson Pool said he had a few questions. Simpson Pool -Is it a random person doing my pool? Me -Nope Simpson Pool -Then why isn't pool person bringing an o-ring with him? Me -Because I am use to buying parts myself and wanted to have just in case. Simpson Pool - I have 400 accounts this is my business and he said he could do it. The random person that usually does my filter is me. I been doing filter for many years. Due to medical reasons, I am having an excellent professional do my filter this time. It was none of Simpsons business who was doing my pool, very unprofessional. After sharing with neighbors I learned they experienced similar situation. One neighbor actually discontinued his service, but that didn't deter me from getting my parts from Simpsons as store is close. But now I will be getting my parts somewhere else. read more

I needed a new pool service and was told someone would come yesterday, no text, no show. I figured likely due to overload from the storm last week. Today Dan a manager showed up and was shocked at the storm condition of the pool- though I had sent them a photo, he said it was not shared with him. The guy assigned to service me was "in training" according to Dan, and was not with him. He left without putting anything in the pool. I got a text message from the company saying they could not service my pool if that is what happened every time it rained!! (this was the worst storm since last March), and they said Kyle and Dan put 4 gallons of chlorine in your pool no charge, good luck. I know for a fact Dan put ZERO in my pool. I took a water sample to Leslie's and it was extremely low on Chlorine, even if he had only put one gallon in it was far below that. But my desk faces the pool. Dan came in empty handed and left... they flat out lied to me. Don't trust a business that will lie like this. They lied!! This is kind of an epidemic in this business. This is the 4th company I've tried since March of 2025! read more

Ryan, the Owner is nice enough, but he hires out the work to be done. When we originally spoke to him, he SOLD us. We have 3 fountains that were supposed to be part of our service each week. He agreed to have these serviced, but failed to deliver. Our fountains ended up with no water, not working, full of debris and full of bubbles. I spoke to Ryan to allow him to make wrong things right. Instead, he decided that we should just part ways. I have 1 minute video of his technician that just checked the water and left. He did not clean out anything! If my expectation is too high... to have the company do what I agreed to pay them to do, then why and how are you in business? He admitted that he over committed. He let me know how many pools he has 273 or more pools to service. He let me know "he picks his battles" so basically, anyone that doesn't hold his company accountable, he will service. read more

I have used them for a few months, and in that time several failures occurred with my pool setup. They had to rebuild my filter, fix check valves, and auto-fill that all had problems. They repaired the issues, but the fill valve and check valve have new faults since replacement that they do not accept responsibility for. Part of the service includes a periodic more involved chem balance but you get this value in the long run, which I never got. They charged me for it directly to get started. They don't provide any kinds and of auto-billing options and their statements got lost in my emails, so instead of a courtesy call, I get like email spam, sending the same message 3 times in a row. And eventually they call after being just a month late to just drop me as a client. Worse yet, they complain because I had a guest use the house who left the system cycling only on the pool and the spa nearly drained. Frankly this is the check valve problem they were supposed to fix and blamed me for misuse. Bottom line, they're not worth your time. You can get better customer service elsewhere. Edit: after writing my review, I read the other negative reviews, and I see a pattern. If they have unmet responsibility or your pool is more difficult than the baseline they drop service for their financial benefit. This is really an unethical. Beware. We've been using this company for years. Their workers are afraid of chickens, and dogs. Mostly afraid of any poop that comes from chickens or dogs. They will refuse to service your pool if poop is anywhere near them and they would rather ring your doorbell and walk through your house with all their pool equipment than walk around a side yard that was cleared out specifically for them. I've had a very positive experiences working with Ryan. I called him because my pool stopped pumping water. He was booked out two weeks for repairs. Rather than end the call he helped diagnose the problem over the phone. I tried his ideas and called him back 20 minutes later to let him know what I found. He actually answerdd my call sepote the fact that it was after 6pm and helped me diagnose the rest of the problem. He suspected there may have been air being sucked into the system and had me move a valve to isolate the problem. Thanks to his directions I inspected the floating leaf catcher and indeed discover that the gasket was folded over itself and leaking air. I reset the gasket and fixed the problem. Ryan managed to solve this problem over the phone at no cost. This isn't the first time he's saved me time and money. A year before my pool controller was coming on in the middle of the night for apparently no reason. I had picked up a hard to find used replacement controller to solve the problem only for the same problem to come back a year later. Ryan informed me that the system is designed to come on automatically when the temperature gets too low. Sure enough it was a cold winter night. What I thought was a bug n the system was in fact a feature. Once again his knowledge kept me from replacing the entire system. We moved to another state, but kept the house. We needed a reliable pool guy. Simpson is your guy. Reliable, and knows pool chemistry. Every time I come back, the pool is balanced and clean. A couple times we had a big wind storm, and so the pool was cluttered with leaves, but that's not a big deal. I expect to have to shock it now and then for just that reason. The only caveat is that they won't add water to the pool, so that's an issue I solved by asking the neighbor (who also has a pool) to top up every month or so. I can understand not wanting to take on that responsibility which can be a liability . . . if for any reason he forgets to turn off the water. Simpson charges a reasonable fee ($22) for weekly service, and he runs an honest outfit. If your monthly charge is higher, it's probably because your pool is/was a mess when he took it on. A pool is not 'set it and forget it', it requires a little bit every day and some TLC. That's why you need a pool guy like Simpson who knows what he's doing. read more

The company did good work fixing a water clarity issue a prior pool service company neglected. However, we were billed more than double the costs estimated in phone discussions with the proprietor (with no warning that the costs would be outsized). The total bill for the first month was for $784 (for a normal sized pool). We protested, but the company offered no concessions. We begrudgingly paid the inflated costs figuring we would have a long term relationship with the company for monthly pool service. But, after we complained that the maintenance worker left muddy footprints on our pool deck, and left our pool control panel wide open (on multiple occasions) - exposed to rain and other elements - the company terminated service on us. The company denies that its personnel left the panel open, but no one else goes in our back yard without supervision...let alone to the out-of-the-way area near the pool equipment...so the denial of responsibility is absurd. The panel cannot open by itself, if properly closed, because it's operated with a key lock. We suspect that the company is concerned that the (expensive) electrical panel may be compromised after being rained on for two days, so is terminating to avoid financial responsibility. read more
