I cannot recommend 7Glass due to severe scheduling dysfunction, physical property damage, and a…read morecomplete lack of public integrity from the owner. Initially, they provided a reasonable price and quickly installed a giant mirror in my downstairs half bath. The technicians themselves were polite while in my home. However, the rest of the experience was a disaster. First, they have a massive communication issue. They showed up for the installation without confirming a time when I was home. They also failed to confirm the second appointment but luckily caught me when I happened to be available. Second, they damaged my property. During the mirror installation, they made a couple of large gouges high up on my bathroom wall. Instead of pointing it out or apologizing, they left without a word. When I discovered the damage a few days later, I sent a polite email with photos to their coordinator, Ethan. I wasn't even asking for compensation - just acknowledgment. My email was ignored for a week. The worst part, and the reason for this 1-star review, is how the owner Vito handles accountability. After waiting a week with no reply, I posted an honest online review on Thursday evening detailing this experience. At 7am on Friday, Vito emailed me privately, apologizing for the trouble and stating he was sending technicians to "have the scratches taken care of." Less than two hours later, at 850am, two men showed up at my house. I was not available, and this marked the THIRD time they showed up without an appointment. Because they're closed on weekends, I planned to call them on Monday. However, on Saturday afternoon, the owner posted a public response to my review claiming they never send crews unannounced and outright denying responsibility for the wall damage. No company dispatches a crew to repair damage they aren't responsible for, yet they did exactly that before publicly lying about it - in two different ways! The disconnect between their private admissions and their public-facing deception is deeply disingenuous. They are disorganized, they damage property, and they will publicly blame the customer to protect their reputation. Do not trust them.

They were very informative about why this window had failed and I had a bid by the end of the day. I pondered a couple different options for replacement and ended up going with what was being replaced instead of matching the other window next to it. Paid deposit thru web portal and then communication was quiet for ~1 week with no follow up to inform when the build might be complete and ready to install. Received call about another bid which got this one back on track WRT communication and what to expect. Got couple messages about changing the install appointment, first earlier, then later an hour later. Was ~2-3 hours after the original appt time quoted the week prior. Installers came and took care of everything. I introduced myself and then they told me their names. When they were done, they just left. Felt like an odd interaction, but everything went smoothly and no more broken window, so not dwelling on a different experience than the rest of the interactions I had. Finally, price was very good and their vehicles have company name on them, which seems to be a rare thing when I see other trades working around my neighborhood.

Absolutely terrible experience. It started with them coming out to do a bid on a window…read morereplacement. The person that came out, struggled to get the measurement, but was pleasant. I was clear that this job would require scaffolding and was tricky to get to. They sent me a bid, which seemed pretty low, but after speaking with other providers I went with Elite Pacific. Communication slowed from there, but they eventually got back to me and asked to remeasure the window. The person came out and remeasured, during that time she was complaining about the company and how they promised her a "glazer" position. Regardless, after that they went completely dark for about 4 days. I finally called and got ahold of Omid. Omid apologized and said they had to remeasure (3rd time). I asked why, he said that the original measurement was incorrect and the 2nd measurement never got to them because the person quit. Although frustrated, I said fine, and they sent two guys, much more knowledgeable than the others to remeasure. Again, they were pleasant and asked to take the trim off the window. I was fine with this, but it did expose mold (the window was leaking), this is key to this review. After the last measurement (3rd time), they went dark again. I finally got ahold of Omid (after around 5 days) and he said that he was sorry, he had to rebid the project, because they had NOT considered all the scaffolding necessary. Even though I was frustrated, I said fine and awaited the updated bid. I waited about 3 more days, but the bid never came to me. I called, which thery did not answer, left a voicemail, waited another day, with no response. Over the next 7 days, I called about 5 times, left voicemails, and sent 4 emails directly to Omid. I never received a reply. This is not a professional company. I believe they are a company owned by a bigger company (as you go through a messaging service each time you call). I also believe they were screening my calls. The simple truth, is that they did not want to do this job, which is fine, but then just inform me. I am also pursuing a complaint with the BBB, because they did expose mold in my home, which I had to cut out of the drywall myself. I wasted weeks with them because they did not have maturity to simply say "not interested". To compare, there were three other companies that said, because of the location, this was not the job for them and suggested other providers. I cannot stress this enough, stay away. They do not deserve your business.

Update: Since…read moreposting this review the company has continued to threaten me by emailing me directly. I understand the company disagrees with my review, but I was disappointed by the tone of their response and the implied pressure to remove it. Being told they would publicly respond and report the review to Yelp and Google if I didn't remove it felt unnecessarily aggressive and intimidating. Also in response to their comments below Thank you for confirming the exact root of the problem: you looked at a three-pane window, saw that only the middle section was currently foggy, and assumed I only wanted that single section replaced. As a professional window company, it was your responsibility to clearly state: "We see only the middle pane is failing, so this quote is strictly for one pane of glass, not the entire window unit you asked for." You didn't do that. You just wrote "1 glass replacement" on a quote for a "window replacement" request and expected a regular homeowner to know the technical difference. The fact remains: I asked for a window replacement. I provided a photo of the entire window. Other companies looked at the exact same information and managed to quote the entire three-pane unit for a price comparable to what you charged me for just the middle section. You can keep calling a customer's genuine financial frustration "deceptive" to protect your online rating, but your own responses show a complete lack of accountability. You made an assumption, failed to communicate it clearly upfront, and I had to pay the premium for it. Prospective clients can read this back-and-forth and decide for themselves if they want to risk dealing with a company that hides behind ambiguous quote terminology instead of practicing transparent communication. I am done repeating myself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I recently had a foggy/failing window repaired that consisted of 3 separate sections. Unfortunately, due to some miscommunication during the quoting process, only the middle section was replaced. That was really frustrating because it made the overall cost much higher compared to other companies I had received quotes from. To their credit, they did offer to replace the remaining sections at a discount after I brought up the issue. However, even with the discount, the final price still ends up being significantly more expensive than competitors. Had everything been communicated more clearly upfront, I likely would have chosen a different company. The biggest issue for me was the lack of clarity during the quoting process. It felt misleading to realize afterward that the quote only covered one section instead of the full window I thought we had discussed. That said, I do want to give credit to the installation crew because they were excellent. They were respectful, worked quickly, kept everything clean, and did quality work. My frustration is mainly with the communication and quoting side of the experience, not the installers themselves.

Enter FDC Glass, cape flapping in the wind (okay, maybe not literally, but you get the vibe). Not only was their quote actually reasonable, but they didn't hit me with the classic contractor combo of upsells and surprise charges. They even sealed up my entrance while working on the door - no extra fee, no fuss, just good old-fashioned service. The result? My door looks fantastic, my wallet isn't crying, and I'm singing their praises louder than carolers in December. I've already told my HOA about them, and you bet I'll be calling them for my other properties. TL;DR: FDC Glass = Christmas miracle workers who actually fix what's broken instead of trying to sell you a whole new house. 10/10 would recommend!
