Best sushi we have ever had. Love that it is a BYOB! We enjoy everything about Simon's -Family atmosphere, great service, fabulous food.

Not sure what the rave is about. Someone recommended us to go here, and it's BYOB, so why not? Very disappointed though. I wish I had read some of the reviews here prior to going...maybe we wouldn't have gone. Sushi was thinly sliced placed on top of a ton of rice. I felt ripped off. Taste is nothing to brag about. Sushi quality was so so. Their portions are small, about 8 rolls(mostly rice) for $13. Their specialty BTS was not special at all. On top of that, they tacked on 20% gratitity for party of 6 or more. Really hate it when restaurants do that. Nothing worse than paying money and not be satisfied. We had sushi at Sushi Lover one week prior. Go there, you won't be disappointed. Great, friendly staff and the sushi was phenomenal! Better pricing and bigger portions. read more

The staff was superb, the volcano was amazing but could have had more mushrooms, just kidding it had too much mushrooms. The BTS is a must. I will go back for sure and I will not forget my alcohol. read more

The Philadelphia rolls here were better than I'm used to. The tempura wasn't as good. Try asking for eel sauce--it's very good.

Simon's Sushi is my favorite sushi in the area! I come here almost every week. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the spicy tuna roll. Also, the T.A.L (tuna, avocado, lemon) is surprisingly refreshing and great for summer. It's not crazy expensive, like Blue Fish, either. It's the best!!! read more

So Simon doesn't have the atmosphere of Steels nor the quintasential percision of Nobus however you do get some terrific sushi. As a long time patron of Simon's you need to know either what to ask for or have Simon provide a recommendation. Also, if you want a salmon rolls with jalepenos, cream cheese and cucumber...ask they will make you any roll your heart desires. Here's my typical order. Start with the yellow tail special (yellow tail sashimi with a oily sauce and roe), next order the tuna scallion (tuna slightly browned on the edges with jalepanos and sliced scallions). Now for the rolls...so many good ones to choose. Definitely order the Tuesday Night, Kimba and the Fire Roll (I would recommend passing on the BTS -- so many better options). If you're unsure what you want ask for the 'off-the-menu" menu (they will not provide it on Friday and Saturday Nights). Also you should try the Tuna Nachos or the Green Shrimp. Lastly, I would recommend sitting at the sushi bar if available. Be sure to bring your sake and ask for an extra glass to give to Simon. He is quite a hoot after he has had a few drinks. And for the finale, of course go near door and look at the lingerie and sex toys at Sarah's Secrets. read more

This family owned restaurant is a very cool experience for the sushi-lover! The sushi chef Simon is a master at creating new and unique sushi dishes that aren't served anywhere else! I love the BTS roll that has amazing flavor that includes crunchy tempura on the inside, melts-in-your-mouth salmon on the outside and pico de gallo poured on top- the texture is perfect and it's a popular favorite of Simon's unique creations! We've tried the Monday Night Special & Friday Night Special which are our favorites out of the ____day Specials. We try something different on the menu each time and we've gone so much that Simon knows us well and will sometimes create a sushi dish that includes things that we like. "What do you like?" he'll ask and once you tell him what fish you enjoy, he'll ask you some more questions about ingredients and he'll make a special roll with your favorites just for you! Once you're consistent customers you'll even get your own pair of special chopsticks (the nice decorated kind- not generic wood) that they keep in your own personalized chopsticks box in the back and bring out just for you when you come into dine. I have a friend that doesn't like sushi at all and she is excited when we plan on going to Simon's Sushi- she orders the salmon teriyaki or beef teriyaki and says it's her absolute favorite! Simon and his family run the restaurant which makes for a very endearing family-friendly atmosphere and the service is of course wonderful! If you like sushi and want to find a place that's not overpriced, over-hyped and has plenty of unique rolls you've never tried anywhere else- try Simon's Sushi! read more

this is my favorite sushi place. before simon was here he was at i believe nakamoto not sure it's been several years but i followed him here to simon's and i absolutely love this place! i throw my bday here every year til i moved 3 years ago. even though it is kinda a small place they made room for a 30 people party with no problem. i always make sure to visit when i'm in town. "bts roll" better then sex roll is delicious i love the jalapeno onion tomato on top! the volcano roll with the mushrooms and sauce is just as orgasmic :p it's not on the menu but baked green mussels are yummy and rich. I'm a big fan of Simon's. In fact, it is our "go to" restaurant for Sushi. Perhaps I'm not as well versed as some of the sushi snobs out there but I certainly know what tastes good. Everything we've tried has been fantastic. I've met many a patron who travel quite a distance for this little hole in the wall. Yes, the BTS is worth the hype. I could feast on the pico alone. For us, the BYOB is a HUGE plus. By saving money on alcohol we're inclined to try a little of everything. You can easily have your fill for two and spend less than $50 bucks. read more

If you like rolls, you will like this place. If you are looking for sushi or sashimi, it is hit or miss on the quality and availability. Lots of strong flavors that usually overwhelm the actual flavor of the fish. I decided to take my kids here for dinner yesterday evening. They are priced in line with some of the BEST sushi bars in town. This, they are not. The only reason to come here is so you can bring your own alcoholic beverages because the sushi comes out a little at a time and the size of cuts are very small. The Jennifer Roll is amazing. The Yellowtail Special is so good I could lick the sauce off of the plate. This little hideaway is truly a gem. We are big sushi eaters and this is our go-to favorite place. We have our favorites off the menu and Simon usually starts our meal train as we walk in--although we also typically try something new too, as well as let Simon choose for us. Food is always fresh and flavorful and have never had a bad or even mediocre experience even if we don't like every dish we've tried. Very homey environment--personal and attentive service. We gave this place a try based on upon fairly good reviews, and a wait at our reg place. Don't make our mistake. We asked about the sushi order after waiting 45 min from the time my wife got her teriyaki. They had no idea what we were talking about. Turns out they hadn't submitted my sushi order. Was told they would put it in the queu. I asked for the check b/c of my dissatisfaction, and not to submit the order. We didn't even get an apology or visit from the owners( in view of our table) to try to make it better, or a credit to the bill. Try densetsu nearby, where the owners talk to every customer, and the sushi is great. Next time we will wait the 30 min to get a table. read more
