One of the Best Customer Service Experiences I've Had in Years…read more Every once in a while, you meet someone who reminds you that genuine kindness and honesty still exist. That's exactly what happened to me at Pro Appliance in Buena Park. I was simply driving by when I noticed the store and decided to walk in. I had no expectations at all. Within minutes, I realized I had found something special. The store was spotless, organized, and full of quality appliances, but what truly made my visit unforgettable was Christina. From the very first moment, she welcomed me with a smile and treated me with so much kindness and respect that I honestly felt like I was visiting family instead of shopping in a store. She took the time to answer all of my questions, never rushed me, and made sure I found exactly what I needed. Thanks to her, I purchased a beautiful 10-cubic-foot refrigerator in excellent, like-new condition for only $150. I returned today to pick it up, and everything was exactly as promised. In today's world, it's becoming harder to find businesses that genuinely care about people instead of just making a sale. Christina reminded me that exceptional customer service, honesty, and integrity are still alive. That meant more to me than she probably realizes. This is a genuine review from my heart. No one asked me to write it. I simply believe that wonderful people and honest businesses deserve to be recognized and supported. Thank you, Christina, for your kindness, your professionalism, and for treating me like family. Experiences like this are never forgotten. I recommend Pro Appliance in Buena Park with complete confidence. If you're looking for quality appliances, fair prices, and customer service that comes from the heart, this is the place to go. I wish I could give more than five stars because they truly deserve it.

I purchased a washer, dryer, and refrigerator from this business on February 10th. It is now…read moreSeptember, and I am still dealing with a refrigerator that I have not been able to properly use for approximately seven months. The washer and dryer have worked perfectly, so I want to be fair and give credit where it's due. Unfortunately, the refrigerator has been a completely different experience. The refrigerator came with problems from the beginning. I have not been able to properly use the ice maker or water dispenser, and when the water dispenser is used, water leaks inside the refrigerator. From what I understand, it is a relatively small part that needs to be replaced to fix the issue. The ice maker was especially important to me because I had recently undergone knee surgery and genuinely needed the ice during my recovery. So this wasn't just a minor inconvenience for me. I also went out of my way to make this purchase work. I picked up the appliances myself specifically to avoid the $150 delivery fee. For the amount of money I paid for this refrigerator, I expected it to arrive in working condition. What has made this experience even worse is the customer service. I have reached out many times trying to get help, and I have been hung up on multiple times when calling. I've tried to be patient and reasonable, but it's incredibly frustrating when you're the customer who already paid and can't even get someone to properly communicate with you. Because I wasn't getting the help I needed, I eventually ordered the replacement part myself (150$) from Amazon just to try to speed up the process and get my refrigerator working. I shouldn't have had to do that, especially since I understood the refrigerator to be covered by a one-year in-store warranty and a three-year manufacturer warranty. Even after purchasing the part myself, I reached out to the owner directly and asked if they could simply install it for me. I have now been left on read. At this point, I don't even know what else I could have done as a customer. I didn't expect a used appliance as I was told the 3 were brand-new appliances. Things can break I understand. What I expected was basic customer service, communication, and for the warranty to mean something. Instead, I've spent the last seven months trying to get a refrigerator issue resolved, being hung up on, receiving little to no help, purchasing the replacement part myself, and then being left on read when I asked the owner for help installing it. Before purchasing here, I actually read the reviews and saw some of the negative experiences people had. I still decided to give this business a chance because I wanted to support a small business instead of going to a traditional appliance store. I genuinely wanted to support them and give them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, I regret that decision. The washer and dryer work great, and I have no complaints about those. But unfortunately, that doesn't make up for how this refrigerator situation has been handled. Seven months is an unacceptable amount of time to be dealing with an issue that should have been addressed shortly after purchase. I paid good money for this refrigerator. I picked up the appliances myself to save them the $150 delivery fee. I repeatedly contacted them for help. When I couldn't get the help I needed, I bought the part myself. I even asked the owner to install the part and I'm still being ignored. I wanted to support a small business. Instead, I feel like once they had my money, I was no longer a priority. Extremely disappointing experience. I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing from here to read the reviews carefully and think twice about how they handle problems after the sale. I will be contacting the BBB about this business.

I originally sent a text requesting a repair on my ice maker for my Whirlpool Refrigerator ( I gave…read morethem the Model and Serial number in the text) to Johnnie's appliances and received a response to call and set up an appointment. I did on Monday 8/17/26, I was informed the service charge would be $110.00 and needed to be paid to confirm the appointment (9am to 1pm window on Saturday 8/22/26). Also was told the service tech would call 30 minutes before arriving. At 1pm no call or show. I called them at 1:15 and was told they did not have an appointment for me or my address, asked when I made the appointment, I told her it was made on Monday 8/17/26. The women said well our system has been down since Wednesday, but we can reschedule for next Monday. I told her that was unacceptable that I will on vacation for the next 3 weeks. I told her I already paid for the service call and even gave her the bank info., and she seemed to have found the charge. Was put on hold and she came back telling me a service tech would be out between 6 and 7pm today 8/22/26. I would receive a call from the tech 30 minutes prior to coming. I called at 6:30 and they were closed. GUESS WHAT! AGAIN a NO SHOW and NO CALL. They have my money (for now, I filed a dispute with my credit card), thank GOD I didn't put it on my Debit card. I'd be out the $110.00 for NO SERVICE and RUDE customer service personnel. I understand computers go down, but really a small company like them and they don't even keep paperwork (like service order tickets on paper). I work for a multinational corporation and even we keep service orders on paper and on the computer for just this reason. When their system went down, the first thing they should have done was look online at their banking history and see who had service charges paid, It would give them the names of WHO paid and then they could have done a call back (most names have phone numbers listed for them) to see when their appointments were for. INSTEAD they called NO ONE to see if appointments were scheduled. I know that is a lot of work, but to keep your business running without angering your clients, that's what a dependable company would do. Better yet don't COMPLETELY rely on computers or the internet, keep a service order/appointment list IN PAPER. SMH what is this world coming too, such lazy people and companies. It all falls back on the person needing the services. Before closing for the day, you should have reached out to make sure your service techs were going to be able to get to appointments for the day, ESPECIALLY since you knew there was issues with appointments. Now I'll be worrying about my refrigerator, it is just the ice maker or is it something bigger while I'm on a very needed vacation. Plus, the Downey store is within walking distance to my home (across the street literally). Johnnie's Appliance - SHAME ON YOU

Who runs out to get the latest thing in refrigerators unless doing a budget busting complete renovation. Last year it was the electric range/oven's turn to give out. Unprepared, we went to a Big Box store and now deal every day with a range with incomprehensible bells and whistles. (The clock is in sync now only because I like to experiment by clicking on buttons.) So no way would I shop for an appliance again without doing some homework. After researching and learning much about how the industry has changed, not in a good way, I searched Yelp for the best place to buy a kitchen appliance. Yelp came to the rescue. Restaurant reviews can be to some degree subjective but a service is not. Johnnies was highly rated, as it should be. Sophia was a wonderful salesperson and found a refrigerator that met our needs and price range perfectly. Really wonderful communication. When delivery and installation was made, David absolutely provided the most efficient and pleasant experience. They spoke of an upcoming move to a new location nearby so the address given here may no longer be correct.
