So I tried to make an appointment. The receptionist looked me in the eyes and said: "you don't need to make an appointment for x-rays, just walk in." I felt like I was in a Bugs Bunny cartoon. Duck season. I was then told that I couldn't have the other procedure done . "Other procedure?" Oh. Your doctor just ordered an MRI." "Oh. Okay. Well let's schedule both then." I swear to god she looked me in the eyes and said: " You don't need to schedule x-rays just walk in." Wabbit Season! "...oh...Kay. But since I DID walk in, and you have no time for x-rays...no. Let's go with just schedule me for the other appointment." Duck Season? "Okay." At which point she's looks really annoyed, turns to another employee whereupon they began discussing the remarkable oddity of my predicament. While I stood there. Wabbit Season! "So can you schedule the appointment'?" "Well, you can do that online. OR since I I'm here. Why don't we just schedule it for the sake of my sanity?" Ha! Duck Season!! "Okay. She then proceeded to ask me if I had a pace maker over and over juuust loud enough for the people outside the room to hear. I came in for a mammogram. I completed all the all the paperwork online when I scheduled my appt including uploading my insurance, ID and referral. This process was cumbersome as I had to enter my insurance information multiple times, but I won't fault the Dobson location for this, SimonMed could definitely make this process easier. Anyway, I arrived at 10:00 for my 10:15 appt. The check in process was simple since I provided everything ahead of time. I was brought back within 5 min of arriving and was out of there by 10:15 (my actual appt time). The tech was kind and explained to me what to expect for the imaging and in terms of follow ups. I did notice there appeared to be a long wait for other types of imaging, so I'd suggest just being ready for a wait and practice some patience. The techs are trying their hardest to get everyone through. It's not the technicians faults, but more the practice of SimonMed lining up appts back to back to back m. I noticed some comments on parking and having to park in a different parking lot, there is limited parking right in front of SimonMed, but there is plenty of parking near by. Think having to walk into a grocery store when you don't get front row parking. I can see how this would be frustrating or a hassle for someone who has mobility issues but the complaints otherwise feel unwarranted. Overall, I don't understand the overwhelming 1s. I feel as though this is highly critical. But in general I notice with reviews people either give a 1 or 5 and don't acknowledge in the ratings for what is done right. I mentioned this ride was 35 mins away and just tryna hurry and be seen.. she said they have me down Thursday for both, koo no problem.. I go today(Thursday) they can't see me cause they need my last month images. Went in on doctors orders got a scan no problem. They charged debit HSA card twice a couple days after appointment. Took months of calling, call centers, etc. Said they were reviewing. Many emails to managers nobody would call. No responses. After 9months finally got some traction and they refunded dollars. One of the most frustrating interactions with an office ever. They held my $500 for almost 9 months. If this happened to a friend of the CEO they would have got fired. Will not go back. read more

I have been coming to this location for several years for my scheduled mammograms and have always been happy with the front desk and technicians. However, today I had a tech named Erica perform my mammogram. In the many years of having this procedure done, I have never been treated as I was by Erica before. She was cold, unfriendly, and uncaring. She knew I have breast cancer in my family and certainly did nothing to calm my fears. I felt my very presence was an annoyance to her. Had an appt today for 5:15pm was called at 1pm and told I needed to come at 3pm now because the US tech needed to leave early. Arrived at 2:50pm and told them how I was called early. Finally after sitting in the waiting room for an hour and a half I went up and asked what was going on when I would be seen and why I was called and told to come early to not be seen until after 5pm after sitting in the waiting room for over 2 hours. The front desk at first tried to claim no one told me to come early so I had to pull up the voicemail they sent me until someone finally stated yes they called me and they did so because they were told to just tell me to come in early so the tech could squeeze me in. I had an appt and then to be told to come early so a staff member can leaving early and then sitting for over 2 hours to wait and have no apology for my wasted time is ridiculous. I didn't mind coming early but I was not informed that they were just going to try and squeeze me in with no actual spot open so someone could leave early. I would not have come early if I had known and would've just rescheduled if I knew I would have to wait over 2 hours. Finally was still not seen until after 5pm at my original time so I didn't even need to come early and waste my time. As someone currently going through health issues I would not come to this location again after waiting over 2 hours and feeling brushed off/laughed off by the front desk when told how long I've been waiting. read more

Allow me to preface this by stating that the physicians and techs are phenomenal! My review is in reference to any and everything having to do with admin! I have several examples too many that demonstrate the horrendous manner in which this SIMONMED location operates. One particular account occurred when my PCP scheduled me for an ultrasound. I took time off of work, so I that I could, of course, arrive at my appointment on time. When I arrived I stood in the long line and checked in. I know they're always backed up, or so they seem to be, so I make sure to pack my patience when I go to this location. About an hour past my appointment time, I walked up to the front to see how much longer it would be before I would be seen, as my appointment was an hour ago. I kid you not; the receptionist told me that my insurance didn't cover the procedure and pointed out to me that this was discovered in advance of my appointment. When I questioned why no one called and told me instead of having me take time off of work and wait for an hour past the appointment time, all I received was "sorry." Lol Most recently, SIMONMED neglected to submit a prior authorization for an MRI. How did I find out? Well, SIMONMED told me I had to pay $500 THAT day to have the MRI. In pain and with my doctor needing answers, as I was on the phone with my insurance company, I was told that it was too late for an authorization, but stated that I could file a claim to be reimbursed, sigh FINE. So I paid the $500 but was only given a receipt for the $500, nothing itemized. I requested a more detailed receipt and was told that I had to COME BACK on Thursday. I asked if they could just mail it to me and was told no, I'd have to come back in person. Lol ok. Please recognize my patience, someone. Presently I am attempting to file a claim with my insurance company. However, in order to do so, I need a receipt with very specific information to complete the claim form. This being the case SIMONMED refuses to give me a complete receipt or bill with the PRN number, code for the MRI, etcetera. My insurance company suggested that I request a "Super Bill" however the people at the front desk behave as though they don't know what a PRN is/means, nor can they give me the code for the MRI. What do I have to do? Google the code? I'm not a medical assistant; I don't know how to find and interpret codes!!! I paid the $500 for the MRI with a credit card in March of 2022. Two days ago (6/7), my credit card ledger stated, "SIMONMED $274.34". I called my credit card company and was advised that "oh, that's a credit." I thought, "wow, things are looking up!" Then today (6/9), I checked, and the credit was no longer there. I called my credit card company because why not? And they gave me an unfamiliar name on the reversal, which I told them I didn't recognize that name. My theory, which feels incredibly likely due to the consistent incompetency of those who work the admin front desk, is that they accidentally refunded someone's copay back to my card. So great. On top of the incompetency, I'm also at risk for identity theft? Finally, in attempting to collect the data needed to file a claim with my insurance company, I found what I thought was a customer service phone number associated with this location. I called, and with the claim form pulled up, I read each section that I needed the information for. Unfortunately, the customer service representative who was located in Alabama and was more interested in what the weather was like in Arizona, was equally as confused as me and thus did not have the answers to my questions. I'm not getting anywhere. I haven't been; therefore, I decided to leave a review, as this back and forth is exhausting, and I'm unnecessarily paying for SIMONMED's error. read more

Front desk person then says, "We don't do this test here." What?? SimonMed scheduled the test with the doctor's order in hand, explaining the procedure in detail. Front desk person says again, "We don't do that test here." No apology. No offer to reschedule at another location. Horrible, horrible customer service not to mention incompetent. My 1st visit was Nov 2023. I was there to have my knees X-rayed. The tech told me that I was billed for both knees but the order read to only X ray one. Be sure to let someone at the front desk know on my way out. The same girl that overcharged me right away brought her error to my attention before I could. I was told that when her manager arrived later that morning she would put the 41.00 I was overcharged back on my card. I forgot to make sure I got my credit due to the holiday busyness then finally remembered in February 2024. Going over my bank statements I see there was no reimbursement. So I called. After getting a HUGE RUNAROUND I was told they would be sending me a check for 36.08. They owed me 41.00, why only 36.08??? I never got an answer for that. So, fine, whatever. So today April 24 2024 my reimbursement FINALLY showed up. I DO NOT recommend using SimonMed. And that's too bad because the technicians were great! But the way they operate on the business end? If you feel giddy with anticipation at a thrilling visit to the DMV to renew your license, you're going to get that same experience here. You'll (maybe) have your presence grudgingly acknowledged as an annoying part of someone's job! You'll get to fill out paperwork which asks for the same information over and over! You'll get to sit in a crowded waiting room with a randomly chosen TV channel just loud enough to be annoying! You may even complete what you wanted to have done in a single visit, but that's kind of a "golden ticket" item with SimonMed - best to temper your expectations (and bring some mints or a snack, since you're probably gonna be there a while) The high point of my (third) visit for a simple x-ray was being able to walk out the door where a diesel truck was idling; the scent was a relief from the waiting room. read more

11 AM appointment We arrived at the office and we were not informed about the "on going delay". 1 hour later they told us that we had to wait 1 extra hour to be seen. We fully understand that delays in medical offices are common, but the lack of communication and ineptitude of front desk (Martha was the one we interacted the most) made things worse. My mom got called 2.5 hrs later and while inside was told to wait another "undetermined" time to be seen next to another 5-7 females since they only had 1 room for procedures. I made another appointment in April 2024 letting them know I would pay out of pocket. The day before my appointment it was canceled with no communications except I have to reschedule. A medical facility should not be allowed to lie to patients about what they will owe after procedures. I was told at the front desk when I came in to check in for my MRI that it was 100% covered by my insurance. I had nothing to pay out of pocket. I did my MRI and went home. A month later I receive a bill in the mail for $464 that I now owe them because apparently I had not yet met my deductible and had to pay the entire cost of the MRI to them. I would NOT have gone through with it if I knew they were planning to charge such a ridiculous amount. I called their "billing department" and the lady just kept repeating "you're responsible for the charges". I have been lied to and taken advantage of. Avoid this place at all costs!! There are much better imaging options that I have used since like LabCorps and Banner Imaging. Anything is better than being charged hundreds of dollars after being told that something was covered. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION -- when I was having my breast biopsied, the female doctor was yelling at me bc I was crying from the pain & mental trauma of it all. I abide by procedures & consider myself a cooperative patient, but the pain was so severe I couldn't relax. SORRY DOCTOR, you only shoved a 10 gage needle in my breast. Next time I'll just sedate myself. I've had biopsies before at other locations, but none compared to the level of audacity of the doctor of this location. Not to mention I now have a painful scar that reminds me of that human being one who lacked any human quality that day. read more
