I had some medical imaging at the Daly City, Ca. Simonmed Imaging clinic and was very, very satisfied with the staff , procedures and respect for me as a client. I needed a PSA scan and because of Titanium in both hips prior scans, MRI, Etc hadn't provided sufficient information for my doctors to view my Prostate . I was scheduled for a noon appointment Tuesday and told I would need to drink 30 ounces of water immediately prior to the procedure so the scan could be read. I have a water retention problem and holding that much water for an hour plus put me off and I asked to cancel the appointment. Omar was very helpful in this and he was supportive and efficient . After discussing the cancellation my medical advisor pushed me to re-consider so. I called Daly City Simomnmed and asked to reschedule and to my amazement they were able to reschedule me for that afternoon!! I was very positively impressed and Lan, Catrina and Bouley made the procedure painless, no strain on my bladder and it was a wonderful experience. Scheduling is a nightmare, they show available appointments online that are not really available. Called in and the rep could not find any of the available dates that were reflected online. I have to have the test done in the next 24 to 48 hours and they tried to book me for a week out. From past experience they also cancel appointments without notice and their staff is rude and unprofessional. read more

I have no complaint about the technicians in the back. But it is ridiculous that I spend an hour standing in line to check in for an 8:00 appointment. The line did not move at all for over half an hour, there was one worker at the desk and I don't know what was happening at the front of the line but it wasn't going anywhere. I can understand that happening once, but it's every time I go there. Communications are also very bad. I typically get repeated reminder calls and texts to set an appointment - sometimes even after I have had the appointment. It's craziness and I am going to ask my doctors about other imaging providers. read more

I filled out all paperwork online after making a appointment. I was told by the online specialist the appointment will be scheduled a week out for assuring insurance coverage. Upon arriving I was told they never received my online paperwork. I was curious so I called customer service while filling out again in lobby. I was told by customer service that the paperwork was not sent to location because my insurance denied the claim. I called my great insurance company to find out simonmed never contacted them. What a complete mess and waste on time. When I researched this company I found out they were operating years without a license! Stay away from these crooks! read more

Update to my first review. Fast forward to 2024 and now I go to get another mammogram, but this time at Banner. Banner and my doctor office tried to get my mammogram records from Simon Med from 2020, but they are claiming that I never had a mammogram done by them. There is no record of me being there on that day I made my first review. I paid cash to them the day I went for my mammogram in 2020. So, now I see what is going on. They are running some type of scam where they take your cash if you pay with cash, pretend to do your test and then someone there, or maybe multiple people are pocketing the money. Simon Med is a scam. It is no wonder there have been class action lawsuits against them. They rip people off. So my $300 is just gone. And no record of me ever being there. While they gas light me saying they never did a mammogram on me. As if I imagined the whole thing. It was my first mammogram ever and the worst experience I ever had at a SimonMed. Bad enough that I wrote a scathing review while I was sitting in the waiting room. But according to them it never happened. Don't ever trust them. I could have died from breast cancer if I had a spot and I would have never known. They took my money, did the mammogram and made it all disappear into this air. Wow. read more

Called scheduling was told by representative could make an appointment, arrived at the facility and had a wait as I was told, we do not take appointments. Also scheduling was told call me back to provide a quote for the bill, never heard back. I have the names of the employees but until I talk to their compliance department not wanting to provide. Tired of cancellations at this business and having to self pay because they have not done their jobs beforehand. They lie and say they call insurance but my company keeps records and they haven't called. Tired of getting there and then being told we have to reschedule because not enough time was allowed or facilities do not have the right equipment. Schedulers should know this. I have had the same insurance for the last 11 years every single time I schedule an appointment with Simon med it is a constant hassle to get scheduled. They canceled on me three times saying that it was an insurance issue when I contacted the insurance they had never placed a request for insurance approval. They let you get all the way to the office and then try to send you away. I would recommend not wasting your time. read more

I scheduled an appointment for a CT scan at SimonMed Imaging at Greenfield. Actually, I scheduled two appointments. They cancelled the first appointment with a phone call the morning of the appointment stating they didn't have a technician to run the equipment. I rescheduled. I arrived 45 minutes early for the second appointment and was told the equipment was broken and they wouldn't be able to perform the scan. I was then told, "someone should have given you a call yesterday to cancel." They were right . . . someone should have, but they didn't. Not a great experience with SimonMed!! read more

SimonMed Flagstaff: the imaging appointment itself is very good, short wait time and the tech's are knowledgeable and quick. I'd rate them five stars if their billing dept could get anything right. Even though the local front desk scans my insurance cards every year and my info has not changed, every year my insurance rejects the claim at least once because they don't code the bill correctly, the group numbers are incorrect, address incorrect, etc, etc, etc. Just spent 30-mins on the phone - (3rd time calling the billing dept), trying to get their mess straightened out. I think their billing dept is in India and no one speaks English. Had to use 10-codes and repeat the group numbers 8-9 times. I have zero confidence that it's correct now, but wasn't going to devote any more time to it. If they want to get paid, they really should hire people who are able to understand English. read more

The front reception reps have zero customer service skills. It looks like not one of them enjoy their job. They are rude and inconsiderate. Testing result time is ridiculously long. SimonMed is a very cold clinical money, hungry company and that is it. I'm only giving one star because that's the lowest that I could go. But if you have the option to go to another imaging center, I highly would suggest that you do so. I had to pay out of pocket over $1200 for a previous imaging when I knew I had met my deductible. If I didn't pay the fee, then the test would have to be canceled. This was a very critical brain MRI scan so I paid the fee because I did not want to delay the results only to turn around for them to actually owe me more than what I have paid and then have to wait to be reimburse. they have a habit of making you pay before the test even if you know you've met your deductible or not. They are aware by getting your insurance your cost should be before you even go in if you can avoid using SimonMed imaging read more

I would go to anyone but this imaging company. At first they wanted to charge me 250.00 despite me having an HRA. I told them to call my insurance because my an is not like that. They refused....Accolade called them and not a penny owed. I even got an apology. Second imaging was a biopsy that after completed...they threatened to send me to collection. But...my ins said it was going to be covered and then my HRA will kick in. When I asked them to call BCBS they *humf* like I am a nuisance. Then the manager talked down to me telling me they don't need to call...that I am owing it. Her disrespectful tone was not appreciated. I called my advocate with BCBS and they said the agreement for that ultrasound is contracted to be covered 100% if I get the other two. BCBS Advocate said will call and handle it. But ethics in billing and disrespectful interactions in this company needs to be addressed. read more

After an hour they said one tech went home early and there were still two people ahead of me but somehow when I arrived for my appointment there was only one person in the waiting room. Really wish I had gone somewhere else. But when your waiting to find out if your have breast cancer you think you want to get in ASAP. Don't do that. Erin was absolutely amazing. It's all on a walk in basis and we showed up and was out with in 10 mins. Our 15 month old needed xray. The other women at the desk did not even acknowledge me or say I will be with you in just one moment but Erin who was wearing a white doctor jacket unsure of what her role is there but she knows customer service!! Not a one star rating. A zero star rating. Do not go here for treatment. SiminMed is a money, mill, nothing else. They refused to treat my wife until I agreed to be overcharged for a co-pay I don't have, then, when given absolute proof (confirmation by Ins) failed to refund the money (after claiming to have done so) causing two other transactions to bounce. My wife had injured her shoulder and elbow and was in intense pain. The "Technologist" was unable to use her extensive training and experience to get suitable images (although there are many options) without forcing my disabled wife to stand against the plate and then force her arm (over her screams) into a position that was more "convenient". She has hundreds of options that result in better images and basic comfort for an injured patient, but this is convenient for her and, if you can't comply, "we can just stop right now". (true quote) So, payments are bouncing out of my account, my assaulted wife is on heavy medication from the x-ray procedure and I receive a "comment" form from SimonMed that I can't fill out. I can't fill it out because there are no ZERO ratings. read more

Horrible customer service. Long waits on the phone before you get to talk to someone. Given conflicting information time after time. Was told I'd be called regarding insurance authorization and was not. When I called to ask if my MRI was authorized, I got the RUDEST person ever. I finally cancelled my appt and got my MRI rescheduled to SMIL (Scottsdale Medical Imaging). SMIL gives EXCELLENT customer service CONSISTENTLY. I will NEVER go to SimonMed and will tell everyone I know, not to go there either. This was my impression just from talking numerous times on the phone to SimonMed! I had a lukewarm experience here. My pediatrician needed an chest x-ray done on my 11month old son and sent me here as it was close to his office. I got there place was packed, son is screaming in pain and she hands me a form to fill out. Mostly painless, but then she calls me back up for co-pay. Now as I know it's not her fault I didn't really have it to spare, but the receptionist shoved the prescription back at me with no other option. Thankfully I was able to use emergency fund or they would have sent me and my clearly in desperate pain son packing! That is really my only complaint because although they had an hour and a half wait they bumped us up. I don't know if anyone minded all that much to get the screaming baby out of the waiting room. I just know for next time in dire situations head to children's hospital. Oh well they didn't have the film to print off copies so they gave me a disc. This has been a complete nightmare to deal with this entire company. If I love someone I will NEVER refer them here. Their patient's service standard is SO low. Here are some examples why, I sat on the phone for over 45 minutes on hold to be told that an appointment scheduled in THIRTY MINUTES needed to be canceled due to insurance pre- authorization not being processed on time. After so many back and forth conversations with many incompetent office staff. I was passed onto the office manager, who mentioned to me that the problems I was experiencing was due to the busyness of the office. Which I don't accept because if my team drops the ball on a pre-authorization I would be honest and take full responsibility for the mistake. The trouble does not stop there. I then come to find that they never submitted the necessary information to insurance. So after hassling their team for over hours they half-assed submitted records to the insurance causing the insurance company to deny a pre-auth for a MRI relating arm pain- because of lack of records (which could lead to heart issues) Who cares about us right? If the person in trouble has a heart attack between now and then. Would this company even care? So listen people this is where your care lies. Within a team of people who has failed to do their job as medical technicians. I would think twice before sending your family here for even X-ray. If I was the owner of this company I would highly suggest you implement a training program to help your staff give better care. In today's world personal care does not exist anymore. Your staff and your company made sure my family and I were fully aware of that. I will NEVER refer anyone here. read more
