They don't offer appointments for X-rays and I've had to wait 1-1.5 hours during multiple X-ray visits. The interior is outdated; wall paint peeling and not cleaned up. No glass shields of any kind at the front desk. You would think with Covid they would take more precautionary efforts being a medical imaging center. They get two stars because: The X-ray tech was very friendly to me, and they make you wait in your car and call when it's your turn which is better than nothing or waiting in a crowded lobby. read more

Was a walk in and received excellent service. Front desk was very courteous and helpful. Was in and out in less than 30 minutes.

Called today to change my appointment that was scheduled for next week. They were able to change it to this afternoon. I even got a text stating this change. I took off from work and drove 6 miles to get to the appointment early. When I checked in I was told my appointment had been canceled at 1230p! They told me they called my cell and left a voice mail. I never received a call, voice mail or text indicating this. This is extremely poor customer service! Why could they not also text me my appointment had been canceled? They were able to text me that it was changed. All in all, I took over 1 hour off work and drove 12 mi round trip for NOTHING!! I will NOT be back and will find another medical imaging place that will actually make sure they communicate with the patient. This is completely unacceptable! I also find it unacceptable that they wouldn't let me make my original appointment without divulging my Covid vax status. Why is this important?? If I could give this company zero stars I would. Twice I've scheduled appointments and received email and text confirmation only to show up on time and told they do not do the test that day of the week or didn't have it on their schedule. I've sat on the phone for over an hour to make appointments and their call back system never called back. Truly an extremely poorly managed company with major issues serving patients. Stood in line outside in 100 degree temperatures for over 30 minutes to then be told my confirmed appointment wasn't on their schedule. Also their covid protocols are seriously lacking. You have to request hand sanitizer. None out anywhere. Chairs are one foot apart. With the extensive waiting line people have to bunch up to stay out of the sun. read more

What a joke. I have a MRI in June. They told me they'd send it to the orthopedic in a month. I called the in August now as I hadn't heard from the orthopedic MD's office, they never got the MRI from SimonMed. I had to call SimonMed over and over before anyone would answer. The MRI was never sent but the money was collected right away. This is a complete lack of job responsibility and respect for a patient's health. I wouldn't take a dog there for an xray. read more

The technician needs a lot of more training with breast exams. She struggled trying to find the correct position and In spite of my discomfort, I had to let her finish to avoid going through all that process again. I ended up with so much pain the whole weekend (particularly my left breast) that I started to worry. Today is Monday and still I can feel pain, much less I should say (thank God) but if this continues, i will put a formal complaint. I have this type of exams at this localtion many times and they always have been so efficient and careful reason why I didn't expect it would be different. A well run clinic. Adequate distancing~ well thought out, technicians were speaking loudly through masks so we could hear them, and the place smelled very clean. The reception folks were kind and helpful to those that may have been in the wrong place or the insurance was not going to work. My appointment is scheduled for next week, but I've already had an awful time dealing with SimonMed employees. Everyone I've dealt with over the phone has been incompetent at best, including a supervisor I asked to speak with. To be clear, I am not reviewing the technicians or the facility, just the scheduling staff and their supervisors. I need to get an MRI for my foot and have been trying to schedule it since January 8. I am in a lot of pain and my orthopedic doctor cannot perform any treatment until we get the MRI results. I called SimonMed on the 8th to schedule, but they advised they had not received the order from my foot doctor. I spoke with the foot doctor on the 10th and they stated that the order was sent and I could schedule the MRI with SimonMed. They said it was approved by my insurance, and to contact SimonMed. My foot doctor gave me a direct line to call for the person who deals with all of their patients. I called on January 11th and 12th and left a message with the woman. Her voicemail states she will return the call within 8 business hours. Friday (the 12th) afternoon, I called SimonMed main scheduling line and spoke to an operator. They could not find my records anywhere and therefore couldn't schedule the MRI. Monday the 15th was MLK day so I didn't call. I called again Tuesday 16th and left another message for the woman. Then, I called the main scheduling line again. I spoke to another operator who couldn't find my file, but he offered to get up and go talk to the lady who hadn't been returning my calls. THANK GOD he was willing to do this, otherwise I might still be waiting for my appointment. It turns out that the woman who works with my foot doctor took a verbal order, rather than a fax order, from my doctor. She didn't put it into their computer system, so nobody else could access it. Due to this mistake, I waited an extra week to get scheduled. The helpful operator scheduled me for the next day, the 17th and I hung up happy. Thirty minutes later, someone else calls me and says that my insurance has not approved the MRI and they have to cancel my appointment for the next day. The person stated it would be approx. 5 business days before they could schedule me. My understanding up to this point was once my foot doctor sent the order over to SimonMed, it had already been approved by the insurance company. My foot doctor told me they had approval from the insurance company. Something's not adding up. So... my appointment is scheduled for the 24th, two weeks after SimonMed first got my file. I was so frustrated and had many questions, so I asked to speak with a supervisor and made a formal complaint about the woman who works with my foot doctor. Why didn't she return my three calls? Why didn't she put my information into the computer system so someone else could access my records and help me? Why is she so incompetent?! The supervisor was of no use, and the time I spent talking with her was a waste. Unfortunately my insurance wants me to go through SimonMed for MRI and x-rays. I came in on a Monday for X rays. It did seem a little busy1 but waiting room was very clean. I was given 45 minutes as an estimate and they got me in about 25; I was very pleasantly surprised. Girls at the front were quick; answered every question and had a smile on their face (hopefully; it looked like it through their masks) The radiologist who took me back was so cool. I was over charged for my MRI, I then collected a refund and now they keep invoicing for a past balance and threatening me with collections. I have called the billing department no less than 10 times and they always send it to the "back office" and guess what... Nothing happens. Now my 11th call, they tell me my balance is incorrect and instead of owing $219, I owe like $12. Are you kidding me, I am totally handing this off to the attorney generals office. I am writing this review on September 9th 2021 about a visit I had a couple of days ago at SimonMed Imaging at 1111 South Dobson Road Mesa Arizona Four young female assistants behind the front counter and yet there's only one long line of patients waiting to check in. It took 20 minutes before I got to the front desk. The first thing I observed that made me aware of this business' lack of professionalism and lack of concern for Public Safety is the fact that they have several signs posted on the front desk stating that "patients not wearing a mask will receive no service" and yet a woman in front of me carrying her child had no mask on and yet not one of the receptionist I said one word to her about it as she stepped up to the front desk! All I heard them say was "can I help you?" . At that point I spoke up and asked them why they were helping the person when she's not wearing a mask. A few seconds later Yesenia spoke up, and with no eye contact to me....... just staring away at her computer monitor, Mumbled the words" she's putting it on". When I get up to the front counter, the charming receptionist Yessenia shares more of her "lovely, happy professional" personality with me by continuing her rude and unprofessional behavior. This girl is obviously obviously untrained. No eye contact whatsoever, she just stared at her computer monitor and mumbled the words "insurance card and ID" . Not even a "Hello, how are you? may I please see your health insurance and ID?" At that point I told her that it would be nice to greet patients with respect and courtesy, but again, without any eye contact she just smirked! Simply unbelievable! I might expect this type of disrespectful , immature, unprofessional behavior at DMV but not at a medical facility. HEY, SIMONMED! train your employees/staff to treat patients with respect, kindness and professionalism , especially at the prices you charge for your Imaging, After I was done with my thrilling visit at simonmed Imaging and returned home, I got online to Simon meds website and looked all over to find a link to customer care, complaint department, Etc and guess what? there is no link! They give no way to contact a customer care person to help resolve problems or take note of complaints, Etc.. Makes me wonder if they know but they are a two-bit operation and they just do not want to hear about it from anybody not to mention do something about it and run their business as a professional medical facility would. All I can say to anyone reading my review here is that if you do go to this facility just hope that Yessenia is not working there anymore and that your experience is somehow pleasant. If it were possible to give Negative stars, would do it. Client had confirmed appt for 2:30pm 4-9-22 for an MRI. Multiple messages were left on VM confirming said appt. Right up until the day before. Client shows up at appointed time, only to told by desk clerk the appointment had been moved to 10:30AM, and that they had called to tell him this. Nobody called at all, regarding this! The snippy little desk clerk told him "We don't do those Scans in the afternoon." So, why did you schedule him for the freakin' afternoon, in the first place, if you do not do these scans in the afternoon? Do you hire stupid people? Client needs Scan completed by 4-19 (dr appt) and as of 4-12, STILL has not managed to find any location that has an open appointment for what he needs. Also, why are the phone numbers that are listed for the various locations all "out of service or have been assigned to a different area code?' All of them! Only working number is the 1-866-614-8555 number. If that number goes down, you people are in big trouble! Too bad there are not other places that do this type of thing. read more

Anyways lets go forward to Monday the 26th, I leave casa grande to be at at my Appt in mesa before 4 pm show up there for them to tell me we have no internet, Come on now we are in 2024 get with the program, Its the medical field you should have back up, So not only did I waste gas and my time you also told me you didn't have the ability to do the order there, Then why schedule it. The first sign of trouble was that the waiting room was full. Since I was having an ultrasound, I was asked to drink 32 oz. of water by 12:30 PM. I still had not had the ultrasound by 2:15 and there was 30 minutes to go, so I canceled my appointment. I was physically very uncomfortable. The waiting room had about 25 chairs. It is well decorated. This is a good example of why it's good to check reviews with Yelp before scheduling an appointment. After I was signed in, they wanted to hold my insurance card and driver's license until I met with the technician. This made me very uncomfortable as I thought I might forget it and then be driving without a license. Simonmed, please change this policy or make it an option. read more

I used SimonMed for a CT scan. After receiving reminders for my appointment, I arrived on time for my appointment but receptionist told me that they didn't have a record of my appointment. I showed her the reminder texts from SimonMed and she asked if I'd made my appointment on line. I said yes as SimonMed suggested it while I was on a lengthy hold to make the appointment. She said that system didn't work very well and she'd have to make me another one. I arrived at that appointment, a week later, to be told that they'd been trying to reach me. That wasn't true as I'd never received a phone call from them. They said my insurance had declined coverage. But, I could go ahead if I paid $150 for the procedure. I said yes and the receptionist said that $150 was a good deal as my insurance would have charged much more. A few weeks after the procedure, I received a bill from SimonMed for over $700. They had submitted the declined claim to my insurance and some how gotten them to retroactively pay it. I tried to call SimonMed to discuss and each time, after a lengthy hold and a transfer to a supervisor, the call was disconnected. So, I paid the bill after trying to contact them without success. To add more insult, 3 months after this procedure, I received another bill for an additional amount related to this procedure. Again, I called to find out what the bill was for and, once again, I was transferred to a supervisor and the call disconnected. If there was anyone to contact that could help resolve problems, an issue like this could probably be resolved. But, I have been unable to find anyone at SimonMed that can provide anything beyond basic assistance. You have a choice of who performs these procedures. SimonMed is among the most expensive providers outside a hospital. They provide poor customer support. It is easy to find alternatives. I would consider SimonMed the provider of last resort. read more

Simon med has absolutely the worst scheduling service I have ever experienced. If you call to schedule the recording suggests to go on line. I did. I scheduled for a Thursday at 7 am. It said I would receive a call to verify. Waited a day and a half. No call. Rescheduled on line. Waited for a call. No call. I called to the location and was told there was a 6 minute wait or, for a more convenient way, to schedule on line. I waited, and waited, and waited. After more than 10 minutes someone answered. I told them i wanted to verify my appointment. No record of it. Put back on hold. Recording said a 7 minute wait. Later it said an 11 minute wait. Later it said 13 minute wait. Finally got someone. Took my info and couldn't get me in until Saturday at 7 PM. Fine. Couldn't read the Dr. Name. Put on hold again. Finally got scheduled. I have never had success with the online scheduling. Also, they don't make appointments for x-rays. First come first serve. I have been told 1/2 hour to 2 hour wait. Supposed to open at 8 am. There will be a line. I go there at 7 or earlier and the doors are open. So, all in all, customer service sucks! The techs are good though. read more

I needed to get some diagnostic testing. I checked in at my scheduled time with no mention of the wait. After 20, I asked and was told mammo is running 1 hour and 45 min behind. That might be something you should tell the patient upon check in. The front desk staff was less that courteous and didn't seem to have a problem that I wasn't able or willing to wait. Someone did go in back to check and came out and said maybe just a 45-60 min wait. Also unacceptable. Once seen, the tech was courteous but wasn't overly impressive either. I will not be returning to this location. Their schedulers don't know what they're doing. I spent 2 hours of my time waiting for my follow up ultrasound appointment after my mammogram earlier that month. 1- There was a line out the door at 8:30 AM. I overheard someone at the front desk making me think they're taking walk ins during a pandemic while other businesses are staggering appointments to keep their customers safe. 2- The front desk insisted on charging me even though I told them my PPO insurance bills after the visit, not at the time of the visit $450 3- I waited for half an hour in a busy waiting room. When called up, they told me the order was for a regular mammo not an ultrasound. They called my doctor to sort it out. After waiting for the doctor to call back I finally had to leave because I had to get to work. So they had to refund my $450 they charged me for the incorrect procedure. The utter incompetence is on full display at the front desk and with the schedulers. I will take my service elsewhere and hope that I don't have cancer growing inside of me or that I didn't catch COVID in their waiting room as I schedule my ultrasound somewhere else. read more

I called and made an appointment. I arrive 15 minutes early. Waited in their line to CHECK IN for 20 minutes! Then the guy listed me as late! I said I was not late I was 15 minutes early. His face turns red and I sit down. 1 HOUR after the 20 minute wait they have not called my name. I go to the same red faced man. He checks. They are backed up I am told. They call me. I ask the nurse. They apparently had only one breast screening room and tech open but two scheduled. So I will not use them again and I recommend you don't either. I tried to go get a routine mammogram at Simonmed at Dobson and Southern. I had gotten a text saying to click on the link when I get their thinking that maybe they would limit the number of people in the waiting room. The link didn't work, so I went in. There must have been at least 20 people in a line that winds around the waiting room. Masks were required luckily but distancing was not entirely possible. I was at least 15 minutes early like they said to be to fill out paperwork. One lady mentioned that the line was back here, (I knew I was trying to keep my distance). She kept clearing her throat and had a dry cough. After 10 minutes of the line not moving at all ( how was I possibly going to make my appointment when there were still 20 people in front me to check in?), I left and figured I'd reschedule at another location, which I did for next week. Their scheduling process is a nightmare, they cancel your appt. with no notification, run you around on the phone for hours, hang up on you while being "transferred", and quote then charge different prices. I cringe whenever I'm told I need some type of imaging because of how poorly organized their system is. I got repeated early morning phone calls to schedule my appointment for an X-ray. Then told X-rays are walk in only. Then I arrive shortly after they open only to be told they don't start X-rays for another 45 minutes. So I fill out paperwork and proved the needed ID and come back 25 minutes later. Place is packed. Wasn't seen for over an hour and I'm now missing a good chunk of work. It's simple folks. I went to Simon Med for an extremely expensive scanning procedure that was not covered by my insurance. It was so expensive, I told them I couldn't afford it and began to leave. That's when they told me they could put me on an interest-free payment plan. So, we set up a payment plan where the agreed-upon amount would be automatically charged to my credit card until paid in full. But after about only 4 months they stopped charging my card and sent me a bill for the entire amount. I contacted the billing department, and they insisted I had broken the agreement, which I had not, and refused to reinstate our original arrangement and then sent me threatening letters demanding payment in full, or it would be turned over to a debt collection company. I was a bit unsure how this appointment was going to go based on my initial calls to this location for scheduling, but overall the actual appointment and lab experience the day-of went very smoothly. My doctor had ordered a scan (flagged urgent) for me, and after a couple of days of not hearing back from SimonMed, I called in to schedule the appointment myself. My doctor had forwarded the request to me, so I had my insurance authorization and all the lab details on hand. The individual I spoke to said they hadn't received my order yet and that they would have to handle it in the order of their fax queue and would call me to schedule once they process it. That was a bummer, but obviously very fair. I called in the next day, once again with my order information, and they tell me they still haven't received an order. I assured her there was an order and that I had a copy of it and insurance authorization, and that my doctor had faxed in the order again. She permitted me to schedule an appointment, but it was a few days out. She advised this was due to my insurance company's preferences so I just schedule it. I was confused about the insurance comment, since I told her I had authorization already, and called my company insurance contact and was told there was no reason for them to delay scheduling me since my insurance approved it. I called back and told them this again and was able to get scheduled a day earlier. I just had my actual appointment, and it was a super solid experience. There was no line to get checked in, and the lab technician came in and brought me my special iodine drink for my scan, and told me when she'd be back. Her estimate was right on time, and she took me back and asked about my reasons for the scan, etc. She was very comforting and helpful and funny, and took her time explaining the process to me and making sure I was comfortable. The rest of the process went incredibly smoothly and I was really happy with the overall experience at this location. The scheduling component was a bit frustrating, but I understand that this sort of paperwork passes through multiple hands at various companies and that there can be hitches, which is why I tried to be proactive about talking to my insurance and my doctor and would follow-up with SimonMed after getting more details. I would give 0 stars if I could. I took my son to get X-rays. He's 4 and due to traumatic experiences with doctors/hospitals he has high anxiety. Not a special needs kid but terrified of doctors. I explain the whole reason why my son does not want to come and why he's scared. He's not just acting out he's not just bad. And all the one even says is "that must of been scary but we do have more patients to see". Not a single ounce of human compassion, or hey let's try to help. I'm posting this to warn other people. I checked in and had to wait almost 2 hours for my appointment. The front desk tried to accuse me of losing my own chart. They never gave me paperwork. I was there from 10:50am until 2pm. I had to call out of work for additional time. The techs couldn't find any abnormalities and had me in there for an hour. The doctor came in, watched, and then said "well we can't see anything, but we think you should get an MRI anyways and a follow-up (the 3rd time mind you). Basically they were like oh that's just lymph nodes, but you should do an MRI. You shouldn't try to get pregnant just in case of radiation from MRI. Mind you I'm undergoing treatment to become pregnant. It's not like I can stop mid process for their just in case/cya liability. I felt bad for the techs. This facility is run horribly and overall it felt like a cash grab for insurance. read more
