Can you imagine being made to wait over an hour only to be told you owe $45 for an x ray, when my insurance company told me I had met all my deductibles so I have no more out of pocket expenses until the first of the year. When I notified Elizabeth at the desk, who initially told me it would be a 10 to 15 minute wait, she then told me it would be an additional 45 minutes until they can rerun my insurance. Frustrated, I just paid the $45. Low and behold, 5 minutes later I was getting my X-rays which took a total of 5 minutes. *I personally would not recommend using this company. ** Now I have to wait 10 days before the services are posted in the system and I can request a refund. *** I do have make known that the radiologist that helped me was amazing and friendly. If you need an x-ray, please do yourself a solid and BOOK an APPOINTMENT at a REAL medical facility. SimonMed does not make appointments for X-rays. You must walk in and wait. I checked in and was informed that it was an hour wait. As you need to get it done, I took a seat. I paid the requested amount upfront. An hour and a half later, I checked at the desk to make certain I had not fallen through the cracks and was told that the tech was going to be doing 2 DEXA scans first, as they were scheduled appointments and X-rays are just walk in. I have had to reschedule my pet/ct scan twice already because of the machine keeps going down debating on trying for a 3rd time.

Do not use SimonMed. I went to a location only to be told they had different hours for X-rays and they were no longer doing X-rays the remainder of the day. They gave me a site to use to see which locations had X-rays available and advised I would be good to use another location showing they had availability. Drove 20 minutes to this Greenfield location only to see a sign on their door saying no X-ray services available. I walked in and was advised the X-ray tech went home early. You can't call in and directly speak to anyone in the office so it's very frustrating to drive around and waste time because you aren't able to call and confirm availability anywhere. You also cannot confirm whether your insurance is accepted. At the end of the day I went elsewhere for imaging where I was able to validate insurance coverage and schedule an appointment. read more

Genuinely one of the most odd and frustrating experiences I have ever had. My insurance says I am not required to pay anything upfront and at my appointment they refused to give me an MRI on my neck unless I pay $250, leave them my credit card info to charge later (???) or open a line of credit. I had a brain MRI 3 months ago and they did not attempt to charge me on the day of, and I paid my bill accordingly. What changed? Nobody knows and nobody cares. Both tried to convince me that there was NO lump when i said from the moment i steped into the location. There is a lump.. The radiologist Dr Michael Park tried to prevent the second exam... after FINALY agreeing there is a lump tried to deny a biopsy, AVOID this place if you are Back unless you want to die of cancer. read more

I recently visited SimonMed and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience--not because of the care I received, but because of the behavior I witnessed from the front desk staff. While I was waiting, I noticed an elderly woman who was visibly upset. It turned out she had never been properly checked in, and as a result, had been waiting far longer than she should have. Rather than showing empathy or offering a sincere apology, the front desk responded with what felt more like a defensive argument. There was no kindness or understanding in how they spoke to her. Eventually, she had to speak to a manager in the back, clearly distressed. What bothered me most was the way the front desk staff continued to behave afterward. They were laughing, cackling, and openly talking about the situation--in front of everyone in the waiting room. Even as I was finishing my own visit and waiting for my CD, they were still loudly gossiping and talking negatively about something or someone. It felt incredibly unprofessional and made me extremely uncomfortable. Patients coming into a medical office are often in a vulnerable state, and the front desk is the first point of contact. To witness such dismissive and unkind behavior, and then hear the staff casually talk about it as if it were entertainment, was disheartening. Regardless of who was "right" or "wrong" in the situation, it should have been handled privately and respectfully--not out in the open for all patients to witness. While the actual imaging part of my visit went smoothly, the environment created by the front desk staff has led me to cancel my upcoming appointments. I'll be looking for care at another location--one where professionalism and patient respect are taken more seriously. read more

This is why I declined to hire SimonMed, the primary reason is their inexperience and poor attitude. This review is based on my actual experience in considering their application to be my imaging vendor. Their job isn't rocket science and I am fully thankful it is not. It doesn't take a PhD to schedule an appointment. My doctor wrote an order to them all they had to do is enter a date in a calendar. How hard is that? But instead their unsupervised gang of children was too busy playing with their new AI toys, which by the way replaced a large number of their local workforce. When they didn't call me for an appointment as they were assigned to do my doctor had to take time from her busy schedule to write another referral with a please see to this request. They called me, or to be more accurate, their AI bot called me and left a message for me to call them. I'm sure somebody thought that was efficient in-between their morning trips to Starbucks. When I called back the call went to an answering machine. This is 2026, they run their entire business on AI, but they still use answering machines? I left a message and got an AI call back hours later instructing me to press 1 to speak with an agent. Instead the call went to the same answering machine. This happened again so I tried to use their AI tool to schedule online. The first question was to name my insurance company, one of the biggest in the USA, to which I got a message in red to name a VALID insurance company. So I tried their AI chat to try to solve that riddle and was instructed to choose the option Commercial (sure that's obvious) then say Not Listed. I did that and the gates were unlocked after which they asked me a list of unauthorized questions in violation of my privacy rights, including wanting to know the medical name of the procedure and other things that my doctor wanted. I was unable to answer any of their questions because I am not a doctor and my referring doctor didn't send the referral; to me, she sent it to SimonMed who had it all right there, but no, they insisted on playing games with my healthcare. I randomly picked answers from their mandatory AI-generated list that sounded right and after spending a total of about 4 hours of my time attempting to do a routine task the final line item was for me to call their answering machine and leave a message and they will get back to me when they feel like it. Completely ignoring my needs as a potential customer and the orders of a doctor. After the second wasted day I called my doctor and asked her to refer me to another imaging lab and I have deleted SimonMed from my vendor's list. Before considering them please consider their dismal 1,7 stars. read more

Worst care ever! Scheduled per THEIR request, saying "your doctor has ordered an MRI." My doctor had to get prior approval from insurance so that they could, in fact approve and order an MRI. When I arrived at scheduled time, I was informed that my appointment had been cancelled and was in "rescheduled status" I found out that this means they were waiting for the MD to give them a "clinical" in order to perform the MRI. A "clinical" is a doctors note to "explain" why I needed an MRI. So, I rescheduled for the next day. I started calling my doctors office at 7:00, 5 hours before to make sure I could walk through the door and get an MRI. Doctors office notified and said that the fax number was wrong. So, they mysteriously received the order, but were missing the "clinicals." Doctors office re-faced the order, the approval AND the clinicals. I arrived to get my MRI and was informed that their "scheduling department" said that because there was a "delay" in the approval from my insurance, which was not true, they were "happy to reschedule in 7-10 days." They gave me a "compliance number" to make an official complaint, but that number was to the Pacemaker Department. THAT employee could hear the tension and immediately looked up the correct phone number. I called the Compliance Department but there was no one to speak with and to leave a "detailed message." We will see if they EVER call back. Beware of this company. Little do they know that this will go to the highest level and even to the corporate office if need be. I will not give up on furthering my complaint or making it known to the world how incompetent Simon Med is! When you are in pain and are waiting for answers or your care hinges on Simon Med Imaging, find another source. Heaven forbid if you are worse off than me. read more

I had to take my jewelry off and when I went to leave they didn't bother to help me put back on and I couldn't get it so I left I got home and realized my opal blue that I have had for 20 plus years was missing it was not in my pocket so it must have been left in X-ray but no one has called to tell me if they found it. I went in for an ultrasound. I told them why I wasn't going to do a mammogram.. as I sat in the lobby they called me up and said it's really important that you do a mammogram. I said I already told you why I'm not doing a mammogram. First of all I don't want radiation poured through my body because my belief that the breast cancer is perpetrated by this machine. They called me up to hand me paperwork to fill out. The first thing is said is I will not sign anything about digital ID. She put three of the pieces of paper down and handed me three different ones which of course asked the same information. They're doing this to senior citizens and I believe the American public without consent. I left a lot of information out. I don't like going to these medical facilities because within a day or two I am getting spam calls spam texts, and this isn't coincidence. They are selling our information.. it's not a data breach. They are absolutely selling it for money so I left a lot of information blank. They get me back into the room and the technician says since we're here, would you like to have the left breast ultrasound as well? I said is that covered by my insurance she said no.. This is the gouging of money that I am really irritated at every medical facility and cataract facility. It's a bombardment of trying to get every last dollar out of you.. needless to say I said no then I got this big fear campaign. Well you could be missing something this potentially dangerous and I just said just stop. I'm here for a routine exam which of course there was nothing wrong with me. Scan came back negative on my right breast. All these companies are owned by parent companies who are owned by Black rock and Vanguard. And they have a very explicit agenda and that is us to get your information to get you to conform to the digital ID and to get every dollar out of you. The one star is for Danielle the ultrasound tech. She is the only thing holding that place together right now. The waiting room is over. Crowded no place to sit so you stand, there are men in the women's center, which makes everyone uncomfortable. They're very disorganized. There's way too many things going on all at once and I ended up waiting two hours for a 15 minute appointment that was scheduled that never happened. I will never be back. I went to SimonMed in Mesa, on Greenfield over a year ago. I have Insurance. I went in for a regular Mammogram. Months later I was getting a bill for $971.00. I have spoken to people at the billing phone number, at the office, my insurance and wrote a letter. If my insurance didn't pay, I would pay out of pocket. Usually the cost is $150. No one will listen to me. The inexperienced girls at the front desk had no idea what they were doing. They weren't even nice and I was and are always pleasant. Don't go there. My doctor ordered a spine x-ray ASAP. I had no problem waiting the 45 minutes in line because they do not take appointments It is walking only. My biggest problem was they finally called me back.... I told them I needed to use that restroom before the X-ray.... They told me to sit in a specific chair when I came out and they would do my x-ray. I sat alone in the hall for 45 minutes..... Then I finally went to the front desk where they both just totally ignored me as I stood there. Finally asking if I had a problem I told them I've been sitting back there alone for 45 minutes.... Then I was told that they had the person they took in front of me had a lot of X-rays and only the one tech could do that. ... That was at 11:45 It is now 12:42... And I've been sitting here ignored. I have an MRI schedule on Monday I am changing facilities. If you're looking for pleasant people who would even keep you advised of what was going on this is not the place. Overall too many problems to come back. Employees were nice even though they were running behind. Had imaging done 5 days ago. STILL don't have one report back even though I was told it "will definitely be back and read" in 2-3 days. I called yesterday and the receptionist assured me it will be back. Called today and spoke with "supervisor" Yelena who said that person was wrong and it takes 3-5 days. This whole company is a huge disorganized mess. Crystal clear most the employees do not care about their jobs. Got hung up on twice, transferred to wrong departments, etc. They are cheaper definitely. But if reports are not read in a timely manner it's USELESS. SimonnMed is the Walmart of imaging facilities. Next time I'll just pay more and go to SMIL. read more

If I could leave less than a one star review, I would! I had an appointment scheduled for an emergent MRI (for cancer) for a 7:00pm scan. I missed an important meeting, my husband cancelled his meetings (to watch our kids), I had to leave my sick kids, I hadn't eaten all day, I had to change my oncology appointment to accommodate the appointment, and someone CANCELLED the appointment without ANY notification at 5:30! No notification, no email, no text, no call, nothing! I drove 45 minutes to the location and the building was dark. No one in the parking lot, no lights on, nothing! This isn't the first time Simeon Med has done this, as earlier this week my breast ultrasound was CANCELLED without notifying me for no reason! Twice they cancelled the appointment in one week! This company operates unethically. They provide inaccurate pricing and require payment at the time of service. If a customer later verifies the charges with their insurance and discovers they were overcharged--sometimes by over $1,000--the company retroactively alters past visit prices or adds charges that were never submitted to insurance. SimonMed has had legal battles with insurance companies. Absolute dumpster fire. Scheduling service is terrible. Employees couldn't get it right. Several calls to them, They told me I need to call the insurance company to get their problem straighten out. Was told to get the name of the insurance agent and a letter stating that they are in network and then reschedule with them after I bring it in to them and they confirm it.. The staff at Simon Med are pleasant and competent. I will not return to them because of their billing practices and how they hold you hostage unless you pay the ridiculous amount of money, a number they magically pulled out of the air on the day of service. I know they do this from previous situations and why I did not want to return but had no choice as my surgery was dependent on their procedures. My max deductible for their services is $500. I had already paid $190 so max they could charge me $310. They wanted $998. So clearly, they do not communicate with insurance. I paid $310. The actual price for me was $25. I had to return on the day of surgery. Wait for it. Essentially, they can't charge anything as I have met my deductible for their services. Wait for it: $1500! It was a great way to raise my BP on the day of surgery. Unreal! read more

I was very disappointed when they wouldn't let me pay my bill in person. They didn't send us a physical copy of the invoice. We got it via text and email. My husband and I are not comfortable paying bills online and we are not too fond of paying them over the phone either. We're not very trusting about either one of them. How do we know the website or the number are legit? What if it's some kind of scam? So, I thought, no biggie I'll just pay it in person, right? Wrong! The receptionist did give me a legitimate number and because we got it from a person who actually worked at SimonMed, we felt comfortabe paying it over the phone. I was right freakin' there though!
