This place is horrible. I had scheduled screening mammogram for today and one hour prior to my appointment I received the message that I need to reschedule. I called the number left for me and employee advised me "there is no technician to do my specific test." While talking to me I kept receiving messages that my appointment is in an hour and to be at the facility 15 minutes prior to my appointment. I did try to call actual facility and was transferred to 7 different individuals. Not one of them was in actual facility but in scheduling department. You can't get anyone on the phone to give you reasonable explanations concerning this mess. My experience with Simon and med has been horrible. Any time I try to use them I have issues with scheduling or there is a discrepancy with the charges. They love to charge way above what insurance would allow. If you are cash pay then they will charge you a tax. I have a order for a test that my insurance won't cover, I know that the fee schedule for that test is 250.00. When I asked what is the fee they advised me 270.00. I advised them it's 250.00 and they told me plus tax it's 270.00. Even insurance companies don't pay taxes when they process and pay the claim. I don't recommend this company at all. Find another imaging place if you have to have any radiological testing. read more

I was on hold for over an hour. About 4:30, I was transferred to an operator at the womens coordinator office. I remained on hold well after 5p. I then discovered that their office closes at 5. Someone there left me on hold and closed their office. I called today and got someone, told them what happened and got no apology, nothing. So I was told by the doctor there that I need a biopsy ASAP. The woman there didn't care, she just scheduled me 3 weeks out. read more

I went to SimonMed for some tests at a time where I am frankly pretty nervous for the results. The front office staff, specifically Sophia and Ashley, were extraordinary. They went above and beyond to contact my doctor to correct orders paperwork immediately instead of pushing me off to another appointment. Additionally, Danielle the ultrasound tech and Dr. Park were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to provide great care and clear communications. It isn't about long or short wait times, in my opinion, it's about how they treat you when it's your turn. read more

Very poor experience. I will never again use SimonMed 4:00 pm appointment - arrived 3:40 pm and taken at 5:30 pm. Clerical staff uncaring at best; abrupt, don't listen, and because counter is small, two clerks repeatedly told patients to "move out of the way." Asked for a statement with medical procedure codes and was handed a sheet of paper and told to call billing. Called billing and automated system had options "1" "2" or "stay on the line." Billing person said I had the wrong department and to press option "6". She transferred me to herself and then told me to call back at the same number. Looked up another number and they sent a billing statement, not a statement with medical procedure codes. Used SimonMed patient portal and downloaded patient record. I am very adept with computer files and data. Unable to open or read downloaded patient records. Technicians were polite, efficient and did a good job. read more

7/10/24 I posted a review on 7/1/24. I was rescheduled for my CT scan on 7/5/24. I received a call that they did not have a technician available and I was again rescheduled for this morning 7/10/24. I arrived this morning for my appointment only to be told the CT scanner was down and I would again need to reschedule. Today was my 3rd attempt to get the CT scan done. Of course, they collected when I went for my first appointment on 6/24 prior to telling me they would have to reschedule. SimonMed has now been sitting on my $275 payment for 3 weeks and I have yet to be able to get the CT scan completed. Now the challenge will be to get my refund and records from SimonMed. Today was the final straw. I will be using another imaging facility for my future needs. SimonMed has just fallen apart and can't seem to get it together. read more

Are you kidding? I booked an appointment last week and the day before they called me to say they mistakenly booked at a facility that doesn't have the right equipment. I had already taken the day off and they offered no appointments that day so I had to book an appointment the following day. Not a big deal to them but, their carelessness cost me 1/2 day pay. I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out the paperwork as requested and was called back 30 minutes later. After putting my stuff in a locker, I was told sorry, we called the wrong person. There were 2 people still ahead of me. I told her I had an appointment and she said "doesn't matter". She said it wouldn't be long so I gathered my valuables and went back to the waiting room. An hour later, I decided to just leave. I asked for them to credit my Visa for the $125 they charged me and after another 20 minutes was handed a copy of some internal form that said my account was credited. (They spent most of that time on the phone with a supervisor asking how to do it) I'm writing this review 6 hours later and if it was credited to my account, it hadn't posted yet. I ate lunch and dinner at Chipotle and Chic -Filet today and got competent friendly service from kids making close to minimum wage. They were light years ahead of this professional? business. I asked to be contacted by management tomorrow but, not expecting this office to relay the message/experience. DO BETTER SimonMed, please. read more

This place sucks and based on their other reviews it appears they don't even care. They told me I needed to be here 30 mins early so I arrived 40 mins early just to be extra punctual. After over an hour in the waiting room watching them call back patient after patient (all having arrived well AFTER me) I asked how much longer the wait would be. The girls at the front desk had no idea and lazily asked a snotty nurse how much longer. She mentioned how two people showed up late and that it would be an additional 40 minute wait before they called me back. The front desk made no mention of this delay, my husband had to take the whole afternoon off work on a busy day all for it to be three times as long as it should have. They had no idea what was going on until I mentioned how long I'd been waiting and were not apologetic lol. I won't ever be coming back here. Oh also there was no reason for me to be here so early in the first place, they didn't even have me fill out paperwork so I wish they had a clue what was going on so they could stop wasting everyone's time. read more

Finally was able to make an appointment on line after 5 tries , filled out all the paperwork and arrived 15 minutes early as required. Had to fill out paperwork again on line, and upload photos before I checked in at the desk. At the desk they told me I didn't fill out the paperwork and they needed my ID and insurance information- I guess 3rd time is a charm. Told the nasty ignorant person at the desk I had done it two times and the website must not be working. She told me it wasn't her problem. What a B***H. Then " Carolina"told me to sit down and her and the moron sitting next to her started laughing. What a shame Simon Med hires such low life uneducated people with absolutely no social skills at all. Horrible absolutely horrible will never ever go back there ever again. There was no hospitality and my appointment was at 4:30 and went in like 30 min after when they were about to close. For that reason the nurse that did my altar sound was rushing and just wanted to get out of there and go home she was disrespectful and not helpful at all. Too bad there are not other options! People complain about insurance companies but after 14 surgeries and countless procedures i can openly testify that it is the health services providers that are the problem with our Healthcare in America. I've encountered more lazy uncaring people here than anywhere. They were told on the doctor's order and by ME that I had a complete ankle replacement. But they still scheduled me at their facility that doesn't have the right machine for metal near your image. Idiots! Then I wrote on my intake sheet i have metal, wait 25 minutes in their overcrowded waiting room where the intake line went out the door(literally) and 4 girlsat the front desk ACTUALLY not helping customers! I have photos! Then the tech pokes me FIVE times for my contrast, then she tells me I'm not going to be able to use this machine because of the metal in my ankle, i have to reschedule at another facility! I said, "You've got to be kidding me!" She said said no real snotty. When we got to the front the lazy witch started to walk off. I said, "aren't you going to get me rescheduled" she said not my job. A supervisor heard her Nd quickly said, uh its my job,, what's going on?" After an actual hour of waiting they scheduled me for a week later. They Know your coverage. I told them I had not met my deductible. They charge you a fee, then bill you again for the same procedure, don't indicate your payment on their "statement" then make you wait on hold 30 minutes, then send you an itemized bill but only if you call and request it. They ALWAYS ate running late. Again appointment at 5:15 and told they are 45 min to an hour behind. I asked if they overbooked. She says no sometimes people move in the machine so they have to start over. That was the same excuse last time. My doc wanted me to come to this location cause they have an updated mri machine and Apache Junction does not! I hate this location. Update... it is now 6:45 and still waiting. I am supposed to be next in ten min. After I sat here an hour she says if anyone can't wait we have openings on Sunday, then she called patients to tell them. Just mark off the entire day on your calendar and bring your dinner to the office when you have a scan. Plan on being there for a couple hours. Scheduling is absolutely the worst!!! I received a voicemail that my appointment was cancelled. I tried calling several times and was just put on hold. They NEVER picked up after the call was transferred. I attempted to get this resolved 5 times, but was just left on hold for 20 mins or more. Not sure what's going on over there, but it's very poor customer service across the board when you call in. And online scheduling is all messed up so I was left with no other option but to call. read more

Sixteen phone calls. three letters. one fax and two e-mails. On January 26, 2023, I finally received a refund check for services on June 24, 2022. FYI - they have changed the phone number and fax number because someone at SMI finally realized their accounts dept. was incompetent. I was finnally able to get help by sending e-mails to the e-mail listed in the reviews portion (someone from SMI posted an e-mail that said get in touch). Less than 24 hours after my second e-mail, I got a call from a wonderful woman from SMI corporate. I explained what I had been going through and she took it from there. Do not bother calling the new SMI number. I called four times and never got an answer or return call .. I think they are probably trying to get organized. Instead, if you are owed money, check the reviews and send an e-mail to SMI. I found a new imaging place that bills insurance first ... no up front money. No appointment for my x-rays but I got in before I read four pages in my book. Ask your doctor to recommend someone not SMI. read more

I waited for my appointment outside in a line with a dozen others also scheduled for 10:30 am, just to check in. After finally getting a seat at 11 I sat an hour then I asked why it was taking so long while they kept telling others the wait is only 30 minutes right now. This is how I learned they had moved my slot to 12:30 without bothering to tell me. They did the same to the patient after me. It was a disorganzed time wasting crowded nightmare. Thank you to Alicia (Ultrasound Tech), Cesar (Front End Supervisor), Samantha (MRI Tech) and the rest of the front end for making what turned out to be a tough situation much better. A 5 -10 minute procedure to place contrast in my hip for an MRI turned into a 30 minute effort to no avail. Alicia was extremely sympathetic and empathetic and I appreciated her compassion. Things went a little further south when trying to figure out my options from there. Luckily, Cesar was patient and caring as well, and went to bat for me. It took some time but he got through to my dr and insurance to approve doing an MRI with IV contrast instead and fit me in the remaining schedule for the day. That saved me from having to delay the MRI and going back a second time. Once it was my turn, Samantha got the IV set up first try and got my MRI done. I know these folks have a heavy load but I appreciate that they were professional, compassionate and caring. read more

I went to the one on Greenfield 2 weeks ago. I still do not have my results which they said would be mailed to me as well as sent to my doctor. I went online today and used their online chat to ask where I should look for my records. I was #9 in line I made it all the way to #2 then the chat said they were "offline" Are you kidding! I waited an hour to be kicked off. Forget about trying to call their hold time is half a day and they love to disconnect you there too. The day of my appointment I remember a lady waiting in line and then being told "sorry that appointment was cancelled, we don't do that test here" she was shocked because no one had bothered to tell her it was cancelled. I'm pretty patient and fair but this goes beyond incompetence. I'm worried about the health and safety of others at this point. read more

Usually, this place is better, but not this last time. When I walked into the lobby, there was a line from the front desk to the door. Seats were limited due to the coronavirus and everyone in the waiting room wore a mask. I don't think they should have scheduled more patients then the waiting room could accommodate. People were standing closely in line in the waiting room and walls. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of social distancing? When I was the next person in line and was waiting to be called there were two girls at the front desk. One girl was helping a patient and the other girl, who was pregnant, was doing paperwork. After being ignored for 5 minutes, I finally went up to her and asked if I could check in and get my paperwork. She said just a minute. I went back in line and then the other lady called me up a few minutes later. I barely got my paperwork finished before they called me back for my appointment. At least the appointment was on time. Then, I was getting my IV put in for my contrast. The young blonde girl was in a hurry and stuck me in my right arm. She kept moving it around in my arm, which hurt, before she eventually pulled it out and said we need to do the other arm. Again, she was in a hurry and was dropping things left and right. She stuck my left arm and got it to work, but whatever she was doing was hurting. I ended up with two bruises (one on each arm). This usually doesn't happen with an experienced tech. I contemplated using the rest room before starting. The girl who put my IV in told me it would only take 25 minutes, which I questioned, but I waited because maybe something changed. I get to the MRI room and lay face down for my breast MRI. The MRI began, but then they had to stop after a few minutes. They said my breasts were not laying symmetrically. So, I had to readjust. In the other locations that I have had this MRI done, they would make sure everything looked right before they began. By the time it was said and done it was 45 minutes later, which is what it has always been. I wasn't impressed with this experience or staff at all and will not return to this location. In the future, I will drive to another location even if it's further. read more

Everything was ok. UNTIL I FOUND A NAIL IN MY MRI TUBE!! Yep, you read that right. A one inch nail right above where my head would have been if they had done my lumbar spine mri first. Luckily I had a cervical spinal mri done first so my head wasn't at the end in the spot the nail would have had to go through to land where it was. Only thing the tech did was (after quickly grabbing it and doing whatever with it) is ask... "you ok to continue?" . I only had a few minutes left, I figured the magnet would have already gotten any other NAIL in the area. But before I was finished I noted quite a bit of metal (very fine) shavings in the same area the NAIL had been in. Geezus. I told the tech and was ushered out. The tech didn't even seemed fazed. Unproffesional, dangerous, obviously not following safety protocols. I could have had my skull or other body part IMPAILED BY A NAIL. Did I get so much as an apology? A promise to never have it happen again? Nope. just a neeext! read more

There were a few others in front of me at the check-in desk but I still only had to wait about a minute to be helped. By 4:30p I was in the back getting my test done. Very unfortunately, on June 1, 2023 in the AM I attended my appointment at Simmon med on Greenfield Rd. in Mesa and had a nightmare experience and was sent home instead of hospital. I went for an MRI with and without contrast. during the MRI process, pain begun to radiate down my spine and down my arms feeling as if my arms were being torn off. I told the technician how great the pain was but the process continued and so did the crying. the next thing I knew, everything started to go black, my breathing shallow, and I verbalized that I felt like I was passing out but the machine continued. and I remembered feeling my body going limp. as I felt myself being lifted up, I felt myself falling from the MRI table and someone catching me. and when my eyes came open, I was slumped over a wastebasket vomiting and very dizzy. No medical personnel was called in none what soever, my emergency contact was never call nor 911. On June 2, 2023 part 2, repeat with elevated pain but without passing out and vomiting. I saw my neurologist a few days later and she discussed the results of the images but had NO knowledge of the incident at all. Her first response was; did a doctor come in, did they send you to the hospital? I said no. They provide me with a wet cloth, put me in a wheel chair and rolled me out to the lobby. I called on June 12, 2023 to see if a incident report had been filled and there had not been one filed at all. I called again yesterday, and it was the same, question; was that the first time I called. All of their calls are recorded. I have heart palpitations since the MRI situation and have been sent to a cardiologist by my PCP since and have been on a hear monitor for going on four weeks because of that MRI nightmare. I passed out on Sunday in the yard and had to be rush to the hospital and they could not tell me why. Its going into August and I still have not heard back from Simon Med regarding this situation... read more

Time for my last diagnostic mammogram recently. My new insurance company referred me here. I dreaded going there because of their overcharging me last time and I had to wait two months to get my money back. This time SimonMed told me it cost $68.23 and I had to pay prior to the service. Found out from my insurance company that there is no co-pay on ANY mammograms with my plan. Where does SimonMed get off charging women for mammos when my plan clearly states "no co-pay", then I have to wait two months to get my money back? Are they involved in money laundering? Taking my money, then giving it back to me at a later date? That is unethical! I am definitely going somewhere else next time. I also had a CT scan at another of their facilities and they would only accept cash; no credit cards. I ended up paying with $71.00 worth of quarters. This company must have some serious financial issues to try to stay afloat. I don't think this business is on the up and up. Go somewhere else! read more

I have been to this location twice for Ultrasounds, and I have to add my technicians were always lovely. My issue began over the phone, the scheduler took all of my insurance information and let me know i would owe $0 at my appointment because of my insurance, I show up to my appointment and the woman charges me $150 for my exam which I asked why and she told me "That's just what it costs. Even with your insurance" So i'm not sure why they would give me such misleading information. The receptionist was very short with me and seemed irritated, and it left a bad taste in my mouth that another receptionist was obviously laughing at an elderly male client who her coworker was helping- The worst part is that i waited 45 minutes until i was finally called in (I came 15 minutes early to my appointment as instructed) and as soon as i talk to the technician she says "Oh you have to fill out all of this paperwork they forgot to give this to you in the lobby" I know it wasn't her fault but i was like seriously? after I wanted for forever and watched everyone who checked in after me, go in before me. The front desk staff was super nice and sweet, but I had to sit in a back waiting room, furiously waiting long past my appointment time because apparently my having a doctor's order and a mother with stage 4 breast cancer does not qualify me to get a mammogram, and the tech is making me wait until a on site doctor can sign off on me getting one. It's October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I was excited to come down here today and get a mammogram because my mother has, as previously stated, stage 4 breast cancer. Also, my great aunt died from breast cancer - something I didn't know about until after my mom was diagnosed. Preventative care MATTERS to me. And not to share too much of my mother's personal story, but she HAD breast cancer for years before she was ever diagnosed, because she was too afraid of a cancer diagnosis. So, while she wasn't diagnosed until her 60's, she very well could have had it in her 50's. I come in today at an early time, only to be told that I have to wait between a half hour and an hour for the on site doctor to come in and approve my mammogram because I'm "too young", and my immediate family history of breast cancer is "insufficient". Excuse me?? I mean really... ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? No, she tells me. See, if my mother had been diagnosed in her 40's or 50's, then maybe. Because they follow the "10 year rule", so I "shouldn't" be getting mammograms until I'm within ten years of the age of when my mother was diagnosed. ...I can't tell you how furious that statement makes me. How many women have died following that?? And besides... I HAVE A DOCTOR'S ORDER! Because my awesome doctor understands the importance of early screenings, and that mammograms save lives. And so I don't care what you think, Madame Tech. Maybe it doesn't matter to you. Maybe YOU don't take your mother to all of her cancer appointments or watch her suffer because her breast is gone. Maybe you've never been to the Cancer hospital, seeing women younger than yourself there in scarves with their chemo ports peeking up under their shirts. You haven't cried when your mom wasn't looking, knowing that being at stage 4, she'll never be cancer free. No, but I have done all that. I do it every week. So pardon me for being rude, but eff your ten year rule. I care about my body, about my breasts, as does my doctor, and I want an effing mammogram! The tech then tells me that the order from my doctor's office was filled out incorrectly so they might have to call for a new order. WHAT? I know the lady in the office personally, and she filled out the SimonMed form fully. But I also know their office is closed today... Yes, she's sorry, but I might have to reschedule. She didn't include an imaging code (I've seen the form, it's a check box, there is no space for a code) and she didn't include a DIAGNOSIS code. ... I have no words. Look, I tell her, the office is on vacation, but... If you really need it, I could call the woman on her cell. I can't reschedule! I just want a freaking mammogram! I'm not asking for a 3D model of my boobs. And I HAVE no diagnosis, I don't have cancer (that I know of), my MOM does, I just want a preventative Mammography screening! Twenty minutes later, Madame Tech comes in and says that she asked her supervisor and she "guesses" that this puts me at a "slightly higher risk", so they'll go ahead and do the screening. Oh, so, you DON'T need to run it past the doctor? And you DON'T need more complicated codes from my doctor? You DON'T need me to call my doctor's office manager while she's on vacation with her family to get whatever code was missing from the fully filled out order form? No, apparently not. Sigh. I got my mammogram finally, I'm good with that. But I just cannot tell you how angry I am over this. If I was too young for a screening or not at risk, my doctor wouldn't have given them the order. Imaging techs are not doctors, denying me was legally not their call to make. And it was SO OFFENSIVE to someone who's parent is currently fighting cancer. SHAME ON YOU. read more

Why bother to set appointments if they can't honor that appointment time? They need to seriously revise how they set appointments. I arrived 20 minutes early for my 5:15 appointment. At 6:00 I asked when I might be seen. Finally, at about 7:00 they started my MRI. The single only reason I gave 2 stars (instead of 1) is that most everyone there was so nice. I think the main blame for this debacle is scheduling. My shoulder hurt so badly that they wanted to get an MRI asap. But why wouldn't I have been given the option of a 7:00 appointment since this location is open until 10:00 p.m.? SimonMed really must fix their scheduling. This is an ongoing problem. Sadly, I have no other choice for an in-network imaging place on my insurance. read more

If I could give them negative stars I would. From the scheduling dept to the actual office it's been terrible. I scheduled online and then got a call the next day to schedule again from their call center. When I told them Had already scheduled online they seemed confused but ended the call. Something didn't seem right so I called later that day only to find out my appt was cancelled. I tried to reschedule but then it was pushing me out 2 more days. The next issue when I called them they told me I needed to have my doctor resend the order. I refused and demanded to speak with a supervisor who thankfully was able to schedule me at what they told me was the same location but at 3:30. Fast fwd to the day of my appt. I called to confirm and find out it was actually scheduled at a different location. Thankfully I called ahead and figured that out. I also find out my appt was at 3pm. Thankfully I get everywhere early so this should not have been an issue. Get to the clinic and it's now 4:30 and I am still waiting for my appt. Never recommend SimonMed. I have only had previous terrible experiences. Making an X-ray appt only to get to my appt to be told they don't honor X-ray appts made online and that I would have a 2 hr wait. I can't even speak for the actually MRI experience because I am still waiting to be seen. read more

Staff was friendly and appointment punctual enough. What grinds my gears though is the following. Had 2 different scans at the same time. They said they would send these to my doctor but I said i also wanted them myself. Ok, we'll burn you a cd. I hang around for 20 minutes to be told there's an issue and I could wait longer but they weren't sure how long it would take, or come back. I'm out of patience so i say I'll come back. My doctor did not receive images so today i drove the 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back as well as a 30 minute wait in there for the cd's When i saw her write down codes at her desk I double checked "you are doing both scans correct?" Of course.. When cd's were ready I double checked again "this is both scans???" Was told yes again. I come home and can't figure out for the life of me why when I upload both cd's its showing the same type of scan each time Took me a while to figure out they messed up and just gave me 2 cds with the same type of scan. I'm frustrated so i go on the website to see opening times and call - i see a button that says patient portal so curious I try to access it which was easy and there you go, i could download both scans straight from the website. Why did none of the front staff tell me this?!?! That would have saved me 2 hours of time easily and lots and lots of frustration!!! read more

This place sucks. I walked in because my doctor said it's a simple X-ray you don't need an appointment. First they told me it would be over an hour because their technician is new to their site. I came back in 90 minutes and now they want me to wait 45 minutes more. Way to waste an entire Saturday afternoon. Thanks, Simon Med! Update: 45 minutes later I walked back in. ONE STAR. I don't leave reviews, but this place made me go into my App Store, download Yelp and create an account for the sole purpose of attempting to warn people against coming here due to the fact that the management, scheduling and organization skills are that of a circus act. DO NOT COME HERE, you will wait and wait and wait and wait and wait FOR HOURS. They're always "running behind". Terrible customer experience. I had an apt at 2:15 for an MRI I waited for 2 weeks.They call me at 1:58 to tell me they moving my apt to 3:45 because they are running late. Then I get to my new apt and they still have not send me back 30 min past my new apt. The staff is rude, the office looks dirty just a terrible experience. I hear how they speak to all the patience, so rude they don't listen they just over talk everyone. Will not come back to this place. read more
