7am appointment and they insisted I get there early, including texts at 5:30am to get there early! So I arrive at 6:30am only to sit outside until 7am when they open. If you can avoid SimonMed and schedule anywhere else-- DO IT! Somehow they submitted 2 separate orders for different types of scans and didn't catch it until the day of my appointment. While in the waiting room, I was told I couldn't be seen for my CT until they can figure out what happened... which took an additional 5 days from original appointment date. CT itself was quick and pictures were uploaded to my portal the next day. However!! It has now been 4 days since my scan (and now the end of week) and a radiologist has not read my CT/sent off to my referring doctor. I called SimonMed today and was told my call cannot be redirected from their call center to the actual location which is frustrating because 9 out of 10 times call centers are absolutely NO help. Also was told I should expect results to be read in 7-10 business days... l There is no sense of urgency at this business and for someone who needs to get the process moving faster to schedule a much needed surgery... this is NOT a place I can recommend to anyone. read more

The tech came out and said she had to take a 15 minute break by law so she would see if somebody else could help me and left. If I could have put no stars, that would be my review.This review is about the operations lead at this facility. I came there for an MRI but then they discovered I had an implanted device they needed to do more research. Which is fine and I totally understand and agree with this decision. I needed to go home and scan my card for the neurostimulator device and send the information to the operations lead. She gave me her business card with her email address on it and a contact phone number to reconnect with her. I came right home scanned the card and sent it to her email address. I gave it 30 minutes and then I tried to call her number on her business card that she gave me. I let it ring and ring and ring and ring and ring at least 25 times before it automatically disconnected. I tried again in about 30 minutes and the same result where it rang and rang and rang and rang and then disconnected. Later in the day, I tried again with the same result as earlier in the day. You need to understand that they needed this information on the card in order to reschedule my MRI. On the card was the contact information to the manufacturer on how to set the machine for the MRI. Now, two days later after no response from the operations lead at this facility location, I had to drive to the facility and talk to her. It's a good thing I did because she said she never received anything. I said I tried calling you to confirm but but no one ever answered. her response "Oh well I've been busy with patients." I said "why is there not an ability to leave a voice message for you when you are busy?" "Oh well, I didn't set up my phone yet or it might be full." I understand that you can be busy with patients, but why is there not a way to leave a voice message to this person? I lost two days of them trying to figure this out because: 1. she didn't respond to the email which I know that she got because it told me that it was delivered and 2: why is there a problem with the phones that you cannot leave a message to find out if they did and in fact, receive the email which she was expecting? This review in no way reflects the techs at this office location or how the scans or procedures are done. The other office staff seem engaged and ready to help. I am not sure why there are some negative reviews about this business. I found their customer service is on point. Efficient and fast. I was late for my appointment because I had written down the wrong time , the front desk was super helpful while not making me feel bad for the mixed up. When I came back for the rescheduled appointment, again the customer service was fast, efficient and on point. The tech was also efficient, making me feel comfortable during the procedure. read more

Horrible I have referral for ultrasound of breast from doctor I have PPO and am willing to pay because I refuse to have radiation shot thru my breast and they refused me service unless I first do the mammogram and then they would do ultrasound this is disgusting it's my body I should be able to have a less invasive option just another way for them to suck more money out of people and insurance companies Also straight from BBB website: Pattern of Complaints BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints, specifically concerning how consumers allege the business has failed to respond to billing and refund inquiries. The business has failed to provide refunds as promised; failed to inform consumers of pricing before service; failed to send invoices to consumers in a timely manner; and billed consumers inaccurately. Needed to get 2 x rays and 2 MRi's, scheduled appointment, contacted my insurance to have them send the authorization, started getting phone messages telling me the appointment needed to be rescheduled. Called their authorization staff and they said they took care of it, this happened 3 times. Today I went in for my appointment and it was canceled. I don't t think I've dealt with a more unorganized mess of a system like Simon Med. I'm giving up and going to try banner. Simon med is a disorganized mess, avoid them. read more

Went to Rittenhouse location for MRI. They said I needed to reschedule at the North Gilbert Superstition location with the 1.5T machine as I have an implant. I call to schedule the appointment and the guy who answered the phone said it was too dangerous to have an MRI with an implant, even with the 1.5T machine. I have had MRI's since I got the implant and also curious why the person answering the phone is making medical decisions, unless Simon Med is pay Dr's to answer the phone. They have great equipment and staff. And they are probably the most thorough organization around as far as getting all your ducks in a row for the appt. Was referred for a CT Scan. I must have received 8 emails, another 6 texts, and a couple of phone calls leading up to the appt. Reminders but also suggesting you use the portal app. So I go into the app, do the pre-appointment info stuff including taking a picture of my drivers license front and back and uploading, and my insurance card front and back and uploading. BUT, then you go to the appointment and they take your drivers license and insurance cards and scan them. So why did they make me take photos and upload? The referral sheet was also sent directly from the doctors office. I handed my printed one to them and they scanned that too. It's 2024... let's not waste everyone's time doing all kinds of crap pre-appointment when you are going to request all that stuff when I show up. Better yet, the pre-appt prep stuff is great so when you check in everything is already done. But don't waste everyone's time by just doing it all again upon arrival. And by the time of my appointment I was tired of all the contact about the appointment, a bit overkill... but, the care seems great. read more

I understand being overwhelmed but this is a it too much. Appointment was at 1pm, get here early as asked and it's now 210pm and when i asked about an ETA l, I was told another 25ish mins. While here two people complained openly and one man was VERY angry and wanted a manager who was out of the office so he was given a compliance number. The front desk rep was a nice young woman and I really am an understanding person but an 1.5 hour wait past appt time is really insane. Please hire more people or fix your scheduling. Nice people behind the front desk reception and manager but what a disappointment otherwise! They didn't have me pre authorized before my visit, front desk sent an email. I ask for phone number but they said it didn't matter anyway since a tech was not available to do my procedure anyway. They found out earlier in the morning and phoned what turned out to be my wrong number. Premeds taken, Al done on my end and nothing in advance done on their end. They say it's not uncommon. This is how their systems work - completely inefficient, unorganized, and not ready for their patients/customers as they come in for a service. read more

The staff were friendly and the service was good. I will NOT return due to their overpayment policies. They refused to do a mammogram and ultrasound that was ordered if I did not pay $440.53, the full amount they would be charging the insurance upfront. They said your insurance is requesting a copay of $440.53. I questioned that saying I have copays with my insurance so the maximum I would need to pay is $50. I very reluctantly paid ( two weeks before Christmas) so I could get the test done. My insurance paid on 12/26/23 and the actual amount I SHOULD have been charged was $44.19. It will undoubtedly take me several months and several phone calls to get a refund. Simon Med had this same tactic with my child in September when they charged her $265 for a CT scan. The insurance paid 100%. It took me till December with 3 phone calls to recoup my money. Such bad business practice. read more

If I have to leave at least one star, I'll leave it to the nice and professional woman at the front desk. I need to have an MRI enterography, complicated by the fact that I have an implant that IS MRI safe. It's still a hassle and I expected that. Due to that complication, I can't make an appointment online. No problem. Except that I had communication issues with every rep I talked to. The reps first language obviously wasn't English, which again, isn't an issue - until they don't understand the reason I have to call in the first place. The first time, I told the rep about the implant and she said she'd "make a note of it". I brought it up again and told her that I knew there were complications, so I needed to make sure I was giving her the info she needed to make the appointment. She kept repeating a script that had nothing to do with the issue and I figured this was why they had people call, so it was likely she knew a lot more than I did. I made the appt. for first thing in the morning because it's an NPO test and I needed to be there an hour early to drink contrast, and moved on. The day of my appt. comes and I'm told that this (other) location doesn't have the machine they need to do the test. So I make another appt. Then I get a call telling me I need to reschedule because they didn't book the appt. with time for the contrast. Then I get a call telling me I have to change locations. Then it's "well, they have the machine but they don't have a tech that can do it". So finally, I have an appt at a location that is quite a bit farther away, but they have the machine and a tech and everything is great. So this morning I show up an hour before my appt and wait. An hour later, the tech comes out and speaks very harshly to the woman at the front desk. Then I hear her calling around and asking about an enterography. Ten minutes later she asks me to reschedule because the tech doesn't feel comfortable doing the test. I tell her I really need to get this done and I've been rescheduled already, so she says she will call the manager. She calls the manager and comes back to tell me that the manager gave the tech more time (???) so he can do it. Now the fact that I haven't seen the contrast yet makes me question whether or not they ordered or have the contrast they need. But fine - whatever. Finally, she comes back and tells me that the tech won't do it but they've called in another tech who is on his way. Mind you, I've been there for pushing an hour and a half at this point and I still don't see any contrast. At that point, not knowing when the tech will show up and not knowing if they can even do the exam properly because I haven't had the contrast, I gave up and sent my doctor a message asking to send the test to a different company. Overall, I'm shocked by the way this company views its patients. I think we're all used to be treated like nameless wallets, but this complete disregard of patient's time is on another level. read more

They did not run my insurance until I got there. So 1 scan wasn't going through insurance. So I asked "why wasn't my insurance run when I submitted paper work?" Then I advised them to cancel my appointment. On drive home they called and told me both scans were approved by insurance to come back to the clinic for my appointment. Seriously!!?? With so many options in health care / medical imaging today why would you go to this old, rude center? Yes appoints we're immediately available and perhaps that should have been my first clue. Xray staff themself are nice enough... of course they offer no clue to the results of the study. The act scanner is only 64 slice (cheap, older machine).... Would have prefered 128 slice or greater for better test sensitivity. Turn around time for results Is 2 days with no patient access to the report via Simon med! Thi review is only for the front office staff or the person that makes up the sign in policies. The technicians that did my ultrasound were amazing. I was sent a text for on-line sign in the day before. It had the usual questions plus I was asked to take front and back photos of my insurance ID's plus a photo of my ID card, which I did. Supposedly, these were mandatory. When I arrived this morning, the receptionist, who needs to learn to smile, asked for my insurance cards and driver's license. I told her I had signed in and provided those documents on-line. She stated she still had to check them. When I asked why, she stated it was their policy. Nothing galls me more than the "our policy" statement. Hopefully the office manager will read this and provide an adequate explanation for double info being required. Thank you read more

Don't even waste your time scheduling anything pregnancy related at this location!! I had my anatomy scan scheduled at this location nearly a month in advance with the intention of my husband being able to attend since he works long week hours. An HOUR before my appointment I get a call from Jacob, (who deserves a raise for dealing with his managements lack of accountability) who said that the on-site tech was not able to conduct my scans because she was not qualified. They had 3 WEEKS to call me and reschedule, plan accordingly, anything and they waited an hour prior to cancel because their staff was not capable. To top it off, Jennifer, the manager was supposed to call me within 15-30 minutes after I spoke with Jacob and not even made an attempt to call me. Jacob attempted to handle everything and escalated the issue to the next level of management. Simon Med already has a terrible reputation at just about any location but this really was the icing on the cake. To management (yes, Jennifer I'm looking at you) DO BETTER or don't "manage". Way to ruin, what should be a very fun and exciting appointment for a family. read more

Then went to get pizza and eat it while dealing with other customers. Then she started to speak loud enough for the whole office to hear that a patient needed to pay money and wasn't clear at all at the details regarding her insurance. Patient seemed put off and was just as I was her persona business being announced to us all. Then another lady came in and her business was announced to the wrong X-ray were sent and she was there to get it straightened out. Just awful and beyond unprofessional!!! Trying to make a appointment with this company is a joke! Made a appointment in the phone hung up and received a confirmation text for a different date then what I was told on the phone! They had to chat on the computer to receive assistance to fix my appointment and finally ended up with the date I needed but not the time! Appointment day I went to office waited in a 5 deep line to be checked in to find out that I needed to go to a different office! Went to other locations checked in and had to wait 10 minutes to be brought back for X-rays and another 20 minutes for the MRI machine. He asked me if I had any questions and actually listened to me. Then he explained the procedure. I will definitely come back here. I have to pay cash because I cannot afford to use my insurance. Worst experience I have ever had. The first time I walked in there was two women complaining to the rude woman at the front desk about how bad Simon Med was so I left cause I knew that'd be a while. The next time I came back the woman working at the front counter was extremely rude and disrespectful. I'd like to say other words but I'm being polite. She yelled at an elderly couple and it took everything in me not to get up and scream in her face. It seems like it's not just an issue at this location though. Simon Med is a terrible company and actually gives me hope in life, because I know that a 14 year old kid could run a better business. The owners should be ashamed of themselves whoever they are. I scheduled an MRS a month in advance. the day of my MRS they call me to tell me that they scheduled me at the wrong location. They do not have the correct machines for the MRS at the Greenfield location and need me to go to the location way across town! After an hour and a half on the phone with these people, I have to reschedule and could not get my scan done at the time and date planned. I ended up having to get my MRS two days before meeting with my doctor. When I get to my appointment, the technician tells me "I haven't worked with this type of machine before, so I am not sure if this will turn out right." He also was not able to develop the CD as promised. I had to run across town AGAIN the morning of my doctor's appointment to pick up the CD from Simonmed so I could have it for my doctor's appointment. I refuse to come here again! read more

This place is so unorganized. Came here last week for appointment. They had no record of it. Had to reschedule. They reschedule and put info on another patients chart. They give me the appointment information along with this other patients history and diagnosis (HEPA violation???). I come in for my appointment and had to give them other patient info so they could find my appointment. I told them of error and they acted like it was no big deal. Happens all the time???? Sitting here 45 min from my appointment time and still not seen. This place is a disaster. Avoid coming here. Terrible customer service and ineptitude of staff. read more

This place needs to make some serious adjustments to their staffing and customer service. Walked in for an X-ray and was told a wait time of 20 to 30 mins. I ended up waiting an hour and 40 mins. It's totally unacceptable to make people wait more than 3xs their estimate. They clearly lack enough staff to answer phones, check people in, verify insurance and do data entry. These should be separate positions. An hour into my wait I enquired about when we would be seen and was told that our information had still not been verified or entered into the system... crazy! The front end staff needs to get a better handle on things and better communicate to folks waiting. We never even received an apology. The xray tech was HIGHLY unprofessional. He assaulted my 3 year old daughter. My 1 year old was in need of a chest xray so he took us back to a room. He said my 3 year old could not be in there and would have to sit outside the door with it closed. I said okay and explained to her she had to sit down and not leave. At this point she was already not feeling well and irritable so she wouldnt sit down. The tech seemed to then become enraged and started yelling at her, picked her up, placed her in the chair and told her she better do what she's told! She became startled and looked terrified. At this point I was holding my baby and froze because I was in utter shock at what was happening. He then proceeded to aggressively grab both sides of her face with his hand and directed her head towards him everytime she turned away from him. He then yelled she better sit down in that chair and not move or she's going to be in trouble and she better look at him when he's talking to her. I got down in front of her to intervene and talked to her calmly about sitting in her chair and immediately called her father on video chat. I gave her the phone and went to get the xray completed. When we began he said sometimes kids listen when they are looking you directly in the eyes. I don't handle my child in that manner, neither does her father and for a grown man who's a stranger to do this to a 3 year old girl is completely unacceptable!!! I didn't say anything further about it because I was still in shock and uncomfortable at that point. Once we finished my 3 year old looked horrified and scared and grabbed onto me and made sure to stay on the opposite side of him. He walked us out and said good luck. At that point I had two sick kids with me and didn't want to cause a scene. I took them to the car, called their father and my mother and waited for him to leave the front desk area so I could speak with a manager. I called the number first and spoke to a rep who transferred me to compliance after saying he was completely out of line! I then left a message. I then went back inside and spoke to the branch manager and broke down crying so she took me to a back room with my children and took down my information. She said she was going to write up a report and contact his manager and call me back shortly. I haven't received a phone call, at this point it's now 750pm so they're closed. But she was very nice and helpful, as was the operator I spoke to. I am disgusted that he would treat someone elses child that way. This couldn't have been the first time he's acted this way because he was extremely comfortable doing so. He needs to be fired! read more
