Staff was friendly and appointment punctual enough. What grinds my gears though is the following. Had 2 different scans at the same time. They said they would send these to my doctor but I said i also wanted them myself. Ok, we'll burn you a cd. I hang around for 20 minutes to be told there's an issue and I could wait longer but they weren't sure how long it would take, or come back. I'm out of patience so i say I'll come back. My doctor did not receive images so today i drove the 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back as well as a 30 minute wait in there for the cd's When i saw her write down codes at her desk I double checked "you are doing both scans correct?" Of course.. When cd's were ready I double checked again "this is both scans???" Was told yes again. I come home and can't figure out for the life of me why when I upload both cd's its showing the same type of scan each time Took me a while to figure out they messed up and just gave me 2 cds with the same type of scan. I'm frustrated so i go on the website to see opening times and call - i see a button that says patient portal so curious I try to access it which was easy and there you go, i could download both scans straight from the website. Why did none of the front staff tell me this?!?! That would have saved me 2 hours of time easily and lots and lots of frustration!!! read more

Thank you to Alicia (Ultrasound Tech), Cesar (Front End Supervisor), Samantha (MRI Tech) and the rest of the front end for making what turned out to be a tough situation much better. A 5 -10 minute procedure to place contrast in my hip for an MRI turned into a 30 minute effort to no avail. Alicia was extremely sympathetic and empathetic and I appreciated her compassion. Things went a little further south when trying to figure out my options from there. Luckily, Cesar was patient and caring as well, and went to bat for me. It took some time but he got through to my dr and insurance to approve doing an MRI with IV contrast instead and fit me in the remaining schedule for the day. That saved me from having to delay the MRI and going back a second time. Once it was my turn, Samantha got the IV set up first try and got my MRI done. I know these folks have a heavy load but I appreciate that they were professional, compassionate and caring. read more

This place sucks. I walked in because my doctor said it's a simple X-ray you don't need an appointment. First they told me it would be over an hour because their technician is new to their site. I came back in 90 minutes and now they want me to wait 45 minutes more. Way to waste an entire Saturday afternoon. Thanks, Simon Med! Update: 45 minutes later I walked back in. I don't leave reviews, but this place made me go into my App Store, download Yelp and create an account for the sole purpose of attempting to warn people against coming here due to the fact that the management, scheduling and organization skills are that of a circus act. Terrible customer experience. I had an apt at 2:15 for an MRI I waited for 2 weeks.They call me at 1:58 to tell me they moving my apt to 3:45 because they are running late. Then I get to my new apt and they still have not send me back 30 min past my new apt. The staff is rude, the office looks dirty just a terrible experience. They Made my wife who has trouble walking. show up to an appointment which was a scheduled appointment just to turn her away and tell her they cannot fit her in. Not only did they not call her to tell her the appointment was pointless they made her struggle to get get there. Take time off work just to tell her no. Don't use SimonMed. If your doctor is send an order for imaging tests, ask for a recommendation to somewhere other than SimonMed. I am a breast cancer survivor, and I can't get anyone to schedule an appointment for my DIAGNOSTIC mammogram, ultrasound, and MRI, nor can I get anyone to return my phone calls. My doctor sent an order to SimonMed, and SimonMed sent me a text message with a link to their their online scheduling system. Tuesday (5/11/21), I tried to schedule an appointment online, but their system wouldn't allow me to do that. It directed me to call the appointment line to schedule my appointment. On Wednesday (5/12/21), I called the appointment line, and I repeated my information to multiple people. The first call resulted in me being disconnected after 10 minutes. The second time I called the first person transferred me to another person who needed me to explain all of my information for the 3rd time in 30 minutes, and then this person said that she was unable to schedule all of the tests my doctor ordered and that "Kelly" was the only person who could do the scheduling for those tests. I was transferred to Kelly, and I left a message. Kelly's outgoing message said she would return phone calls in the other in which they received, and it simply delays the process to leave multiple messages. I can respect this, but there was no indication about how long it typically takes for Kelly to return calls: for example, same day, 24 hours, 2 working days. Also, presumably, if Kelly is unavailable to return calls for several days she has an assigned designee who fills in for her since this is a medical facility and it's not unreasonable to assume that time is of the essence when it comes to scheduling tests. I waited 24 hours and called the appointment line again (Thursday, 5/13/21). I went through the explanation of what I was trying to do, and the person who answered my call had to locate the order from the doctor (it's 10 minutes minimum just for person who answers the phone to get my information and find the order request that my doctor sent), and she transferred me to Kelly. I left another message for Kelly. I assumed that she didn't get the first message since it was over a day since I'd left the message asking to be scheduled for a DIAGNOSTIC mammogram, ultrasound, and MRI. It is now Friday (5/14/21) afternoon, more than 24 hours since I last called, and I have yet to have my calls returned. I am incredibly disappointed with the SimonMed. It should not take 4 days, or more, to have tests scheduled at a medical facility. I don't like having to air my complaints on sit like Yelp, but I have been unable to locate contact information for anyone who can help me with this. To be fair, in the past, the medical providers who've treated me have been absolutely wonderful. However, that is useless information if you can't actually get scheduled to see them. read more

I have been to this location twice for Ultrasounds, and I have to add my technicians were always lovely. My issue began over the phone, the scheduler took all of my insurance information and let me know i would owe $0 at my appointment because of my insurance, I show up to my appointment and the woman charges me $150 for my exam which I asked why and she told me "That's just what it costs. Even with your insurance" So i'm not sure why they would give me such misleading information. The receptionist was very short with me and seemed irritated, and it left a bad taste in my mouth that another receptionist was obviously laughing at an elderly male client who her coworker was helping- The worst part is that i waited 45 minutes until i was finally called in (I came 15 minutes early to my appointment as instructed) and as soon as i talk to the technician she says "Oh you have to fill out all of this paperwork they forgot to give this to you in the lobby" I know it wasn't her fault but i was like seriously? after I wanted for forever and watched everyone who checked in after me, go in before me. I have been coming to Simon Medical at this location for years. But over the past couple of years it's really gone downhill! This place is overbooked, and my experience with the office staff was not good. I had an MRI scheduled for late afternoon, and I was standing in line almost up to the desk. they called me on my phone to let me know they were running behind. I told her, I'm in line almost up to the desk. She said, yeah, cuz we're running behind. I said, well I'll have to reschedule. And she repeated, yeah, cuz we're running behind for the MRI machine. I was quite upset and left. The time before that, I went in for a mammogram. The tech refused to do it because she said I had to have my previous mammogram films with me. I was absolutely furious. On my way home, I got a call from the manager. She said the tech was mistaken. Years ago, I had a breast biopsy in the facility next door that is part of Simon Medical. My experience there with the staff was wonderful. read more

There is a constant line of patients filing through the door. The two receptionists service someone and then a unreasonable gap of time occurs before taking the next client. Got there a little late bc I accidentally went to the wrong location. Once I went inside I got nervous because of the packed waiting room but I was helped quickly in front, and was taken straight back by Ashley , who was my ultrasound tech & did both of my ultrasounds quick & efficiently. I showed up and waited over an hour only to find out that they had not received my insurance authorization, even though I was told it was here when I scheduled my appointment. I ended up having to pay out of pocket because of their error. After paying in cash I still had to wait another hour. No wonder the reviews are so low for this simonmed. I SPENT OVER 2 HOURS WAITING. Try going to the Val Vista location or basically any other simon med if you can. Just terrible. This place is terrible. You truly feel like a number in the uncomfortable waiting room. And when they have a rush of patients they only have a few people checking in. They don't have a private area to check in so you hear everyone's private information. Unfriendly front office staff. I would like to amend this a bit. I was very frustrated and worried coming in, and though I do think the waiting room needs to be updated and the process of checking in is horrible, the staff wasn't necessarily unfriendly. Here are the things I would change if I owned this facility: #1 change the waiting room, get comfy seats. #2 Change the checkin process. Don't make people stand in line for a cattle call type of check in, PHI is being discussed and frankly I don't want to hear that someone's brain MRI wasn't ordered properly. #3 If you are going to collect payment upfront, let the patient know ahead of time. Putting them in the spot in a room full of hearing ears is not cool. #4 When someone comes in for a mammogram don't make them walk from the dressing room to the mammogram room with a front open gown that doesn't tie, also not cool. Maybe a locker with a kept they can take and a robe or something. #5 Same thing if they also have to get an ultrasound. The staff was fine and did their best to be friendly but overall the experience made and uncomfortable and stressful visit even more stressful and unpleasant. This is going based my experience just now, if I had a good experience I was going to leave a review right away especially since these places have nothing but bad reviews. I was dreading coming but had to get my X-ray done especially since it's walk in only. I got here at 7:50am parked my car, person at front desk was friendly,nice,and efficient. Told me about a 15 wait. I was called in like a min after sitting down and was out by 8:06am. I'm glad I got here when I did because when I got out of the exam to the lobby, it was getting full fast. I would like to thank Natalie Who provided me with a bone density and foot x-ray . I came in with an appointment and arrived 15 minutes early . I was given a clipboard with approximately four sheets of paper to be filled out. Once completing the paperwork and returning it to the clerk I was told that I had a hour wait . I immediately became upset and began to cry and told the receptionist that I couldn't stay in there it was too many people and I had just lost my mother . And I came early hoping to get in and out, The receptionist replied I will make a call to the back and see what they can do . But I'm not going to promise you anything , I replied thank you and walked out . After approximately 15 minutes I was given a call and told to come back inside and that they were ready to take me. Natalie greeted me at the door and told me to come on back she would take care of me . And that's exactly what she did ! she got me in and out in no time. I see the necessity for poor reviews, 30 minutes after my appointment time, arrived 15 minutes early (dumb me) to hear another patient ask when he's going back and the front office states casually we're running 45 minutes behind - that's quite a news flash thanks for your concern for my personal time, because sitting in a waiting room for diagnostic mammograms is everybodys favorite thing to do on Friday! Get it together people.. I have enough time to start this review hope your patient care is worth the wait.. Still waiting an hour later, sadly my review started at 3 stars.. Update: 1.5 hours late, here 2.5 hours and still haven't seen the doctor.. What a racket they have running. Pure pathetic customer service. The staff is wonderful but this is possibly the worst organized office on the planet, there is no way that this is acceptable business practice. Finally saw the ultrasound tech who claims to have looked for me before, umm no you haven't you we're going to the break room the three times I saw you walk past me.. Or wait was it when I had to repeat images in the mamo room? Do you people not talk to each other at all?? Total time spent over 3 hours.. Simon Med Imaging is by far the worst business I have ever dealt with. If I could give them a negative star rating I would. I was forced to give one star in order to post my experience. From the scheduling to the reception. They should be shut down. On 3 separate occasions they have miss scheduled, lost paperwork, I was forced to wait 4 hours with an appointment. I have had to reschedule surgery due to there negligence. The Only positive experience the mammogram and ultrasound technicians, they were kind, considerate and very knowledgeable, However, .I will not Under no circumstances ever go back. I made an appointment, arrived on time, checked in, filled out paperwork, paid the co-pay, sat in the waiting room for over an hour only to be told that my appointment wasn't today after checking to see what was taking so long. Incompetent staff that couldn't make an accommodation when they messed up. Don't waste your time with this place. Many people were complaining in the waiting room that they'd been waiting for over an hour even though they had an appointment. They're obviously over-booking appointments and having people sit around in a crowded room during a time that we're supposed to be social distancing. I've never written a review but the service and treatment at this place was ridiculous! The check-in staff member was very rude! I was literally 5 minutes late and she scolded me. Last week I had to wait over an hour because they were running behind. Now she scolds me for 5 minutes, but tells me that they are almost an hour behind again. Then she says that the 6:30 patient gets to go first because he already checked in. After I sit down and then had a loud discussion recounting telling me off with a co-worker on the phone in front of a lobby full of people! I've never been treated so rudely! Absolute dumpster fire. Scheduling service is terrible. Employees couldn't get it right. Several calls to them, the Core Institute and our insurance company to get an appointment. Then, they canceled my appointment in Chandler, literally 45 minutes before my scheduled time because their MRI equipment was out of order. I had two MRIS's scheduled back to back. They told me to hurry over to east Mesa clinic and both MRIs would be completed at 1:30 and 2:00. So when I got there, the receptionist said my appointments were at 1:30 and 6:45. NOT! I insisted they do both back to vac. So, ok, they rearranged their schedule and got me in at 2:15. They did one MRI successfully but after being in the tube for over an hour I was told the machine wasn't working properly so I had to go down the hall to a different machine.the MRI's ere finally completed at 4:45, over 2 1/2 hours later. I've never had to wait like this for a simple test. Over two hours and I'm still waiting in the lobby. They say that this is a first come first served facility. I've seen people who have come in way after me get called to be taken care of before me. I asked how many people are ahead of me after sitting here for two hours, I was told 4 people. They then took 7 people and I still haven't seen anyone for my test. I'm definitely not going to come back here. Well after sitting here for 3 hours with no service I finally got fed up and pissed off and walked out. Never going back again. read more

Waited 20 minutes on hold to be told my provider had a special scheduler and needed to contact him to set an appointment. Left 4 messages . Never a return phone call. Called again a few days later and was able to schedule through regular scheduling??? Made appointment for Labor Day. I though oh great they are open . I don't have to take time off from work. I was informed at check in that my Technologist was running 45 min behind. Not thrilled but decided to wait . An hour and 45 minutes later I was finally in the exam table. Front desk girls could care less that people are waiting. To busy with personal conversations and not bothering to follow HIPPA laws! I tried to re schedule but no one at the front desk knew how to do it! Tech very apologetic ( and stressed! Obviously very over booked and not scheduled correctly! 3 days after my exam I got a phone call that I needed to come back because they missed an exam.!!! I had an appointment via their website at 9:25am for extant. I get there and find out it's walk-in. Why allow appointments on line. They were not allowing anyone to be inside and it's already 100 degrees. It took 2 hours wait for a minute and a half X-ray. This site needs more organization. No one should be waiting outside in the heat. I feel sorry for the senior citizen who forced to stand outside. Awful experience. Communication between staff is the worst. Had to go back twice because the front desk didn't communicate with the tech. Then the second time got a new tech and they didn't give me protective ear coverings for my MRI, they game me some cheap ear plugs that fell out during the MRI and my ears still hurt. I kept asking to put them back in and they didn't respond. Very frustrating. Also they do not do any social distancing. There is only a one way door to get in and out, there was a line out the door and everyone was right on top of each other...people were standing in the door way blocking the entrance/exit. read more

I went there 6 times. The first time no prior authorization. Due to needing this appt ASAP, I signed up to pay on my on. They never stated it could not be reversed. Kaelyn did not give my message to Monica which was initially 12/10. You have to go there in person to communicate. There is no direct number to the facility. All calls are referred to the call center. I even went today 12/18/22. Again initially Monica was not available. I was not told at the time of signing up for self pay it was not reversible. I have shown my insurance card and had prior authorization. They are refusing to take care of their end of it even the part where they did not tell the customer up front it's irreversible. read more

If only we could give negative stars! I made an appt for an ultrasound and an x-ray at the Mesa location for a Monday. Received an email and a text confirmation of my appt and the amount of $ needed for my appt. I showed up the day and time of my appt and the front desk staff could not find my appt. I showed them my test confirmation as well as my email and after looking into it further, they told me "Oh, we are very sorry but someone should have called you, we canceled your appt due to this location not being able to do ultrasounds" Well, I also had an x-ray scheduled so I asked if I could still get that done and was told those are only done on a walk-in basis which I was not told when making the original appt. Their lobby was packed to the point of not having another chair available so I left. An hour later someone from scheduling called to apologize to me for the confusion and lack of communication on their part and wanted to get me another appt as soon as possible. I told her that I would not leave work early again, they would have to accommodate my work schedule. She found a location that could take me Saturday so I made that appt. Friday afternoon, 4:20 p.m. I get a voice mail saying my appt for Saturday was canceled as Simon Med does not do ultra sounds on Saturdays. Hmmmmm, maybe someone should let scheduling know this as this may be information they might need for future patient scheduling! Ridiculous and inconsiderate when patients need testing done for their health and well-being! I have another appt scheduled but it won't ever be Simon Med again!! read more
