The place is nice and clean and the workers are always pleasant. With that being said, the food is no where near as good as the old Palapita that used to be here. It's really expensive and not worth the money. Everything seems pretty fresh but the flavor isn't there. The meat needs to be seasoned better. I ordered the sorriest looking steak burrito. You can tell they're being cheap with their portions. The lemonade and Jamaica water have NO taste. You're basically paying $3 for a cup of water. The best part of my meal was the flan but I doubt they make it themselves. I paid like $19 for a burrito, drink and flan. You're better off going somewhere else. read more

Second time catering from Simon Tacos and my guests and I loved the food! We ordered steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas which came with rice and beans. I'm not a fan of Mexican rice and beans but their rice was so flavorful! The meats were cooked perfectly and the accompanying hot and mild sauces were very good. I'd highly recommend Simon Tacos if you're looking for a quick bite or looking to cater a party. read more

Had a number of items from their menu at a kids birthday party and it's so yum! You know you've found a good spot when it still tastes so good through catering! read more

Catered from here on Christmas Eve and the process was quick simple and the food tasted very good. The steak, pastor and picadillo was very good. They gave more than enough food to accommodate my family and even threw I in an extra order of Guacamole since they were going to be closed the next day. This is defiantly a hidden gem. Just went there today for a quick bite and remembered to post my great catering experience. read more

No Beno - the regular burrito is more like a mini burrito & yet it cost $10.00after tax & before tip. What a waste of money. Do yourself a favor and get the super burrito if you do order from this place. Also not a fan of the sauces that comes with the burrito. read more

I had my very first taco de lengua here and it's been my favorite spot since then Never disappointed with anything from here

Always great dinner and the best delivery times maybe I'm lucky living so close but I do highly recommend Simon Tacos

This is my second time getting takeout from Simon and this visit was better then the first visit. Steak tacos were as good as last time. The Al Pastor this time was so much better then the last visit and the ground beef tacos were better too. Wouldn't say they are the best I've had but I definitely put them in my top 5. Didn't have the chips and salsa last time so this time I ordered chips and salsa and WOW!!! The chips are homemade and absolutely incredible. The red salsa is out of this world. Slightly creamy and a nice kick. I don't really like creamy salsa but I take this as an exception. My mom loved her shrimp sopes. I think I found my new go to after Taco Max was disappointing the last couple times. read more

Confession: I was a La Palapita lover. Long time fan. When they closed, I was devastated. Then I saw in one of my neighborhood groups that Simon's had opened in the La Palapita space. I was hopeful but not optimistic that they would be as good. Turns out, the tacos are even better. I picked up takeout yesterday and really loved it. The tacos have tons of non fatty meat. I also had a chile relleno taco which was not at all greasy and very delicious. Their sauces are excellent although I prefer the taste of the green and the heat of the red. The interior has had a gut job since Palapita which was much needed. It looks great! Probably our new to-go taco place in the area! read more

The steak tacos are dripped in grease and the tortillas had an unpleasant smell and taste. The steak got fat pieces and some hard pieces. The service at the front counter is very poor. I don't recommend this place at all. Spend your money elsewhere! read more

wow, what a fantastic experience this morning! I was the first time at ST, but surely it is the beginning of a long relationship. The place is huge, the line moves very fast, the order is ready right away. Steak tacos were amazing, Taco the chille requeno-just a dream!!!! Just perfect! Diet coke was ice cold. What else? The green salsa was super excellent and the chips were right. The staff handled everything in a smooth, inspiring manner. Hey!I/m going to be a regular in this place! read more

Had take out. Two super burritos, a 3 taco dinner and an extra taco. Everything was excellent. Called in the order. Drove over and it was ready. Will definitely go there again. read more

Starting with the positives, the order was correct, the food arrived quickly, the fries were great and the lengua was flavorful! However, the torts was soggy and the barbacoa was ALL FAT! I ended up having to take all the meat out of the burrito. Very disappointed as my husband and I are tying to find "our Mexican food spot" in our new neighborhood.. read more

I've been there twice so far, getting burritos to go. I call my order ahead, they tell me how long it will be (10 minutes or less each time so far) and I just bike over. The burritos are delicious and I'm glad they come in two sizes. Usually, a standard burrito isn't enough but a second one would be too much so I just go with Simon's king burrito and all is good. The other thing is the staff is very friendly and seem genuinely glad I walked in the door! I'm looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu and perhaps eating on the outdoor patio in the spring/summer. read more

We loved this place when they first opened. However, the service has declined. Phone Orders have been wrong and even in person pickups....still wrong. Unfortunate. We tried to Support this neighborhood spot but instead of an apology just more excuses. Too bad read more

Well the wait is finally over. Taking over the space where La Palapita used to be is a new Mexican food joint called Simón Tacos. The menu was typical of your normal taco place so I ordered my usual...a steak burrito, side of rice and beans and some guacamole and chips to go. The burrito was tasty but they forgot to add the sour cream and cheese that I paid for inside of it, so that was $1 lost from this transaction. Also the burrito wasn't wrapped tightly so it was limp and everything fell out of it after the first bite. The rice and beans were good and not greasy. And the guacamole was fresh and spicy and the chips were made fresh from tortillas. Probably just minor mistakes that will be chalked up to new business and growing pains. The place is clean and the staff very friendly. Hopefully they will offer delivery via Grubhub or Eat24. I look forward to trying the other items in the menu. Unfortunately the pictures I took of the menu were bad so I didn't post. read more

‍ I do not understand why is it always so hard for them to get my order correct??? I ALWAYS GET 2 VEGETARIAN NACHOS- one w/light beans add rice The other one NO TOMATOES NO ONIONS add rice. Its near my house..so I come often enough. But this time I just can't! She repeats the order its on the ticket and I get home ready to eat and it has all that I did not ask for! Ugh! I walk back..and not once was anything offered for my inconvenience or their mistake..which ever you perfer! Smh. I just CAN'T Oh and had to wait like 15 minutes for them to make my second set! read more

getting worse and worse..called in for a order, the girl got my card number wrong 5 times, then got flip and smart after she kept screwing up.asking for credit card numbers over and over is very suspicious in my book and who screams and hollers at their customers who are spending money...girl at the counter shpuld be fired even if she,s family.im done with them.. see ya!!!! read more

My go-to spot for tacos before and during the pandemic. The chorizo tacos and guacamole and both delicious.

I really love this place. My favorite is the REAL nacho cheese on the nachos (yellow, if you ask). The veggie tacos are bomb AF. the only thing preventing me from giving this place 5 stars, is the speed of the service. but when i order ahead, it's usually ready. also, please stop putting rice in the nachos, without asking. read more

My new favorite taco spot! So glad to have found this place. You can't go wrong with any of the options on the menu--tacos are delicious but the super burrito is my personal favorite. Food is high quality and always tastes fresh. The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the restaurant itself is kept very clean--the latter is so important to me. I appreciate family-run businesses tremendously. It's clear that the owners care very much about the satisfaction of each person that walks through their doors. Bonus: They have a lovely patio that is perfect for summer nights! read more

You can tell when a business cares about what they're feeding you and when they don't care. Given that I put five stars, I'm sure you can figure out which direction they went. Hate fat in your carne asada? They cut all that junk off! The meat was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. Love nicely-flavored picadillo tortas? Don't hesitate to call! The bread was toasted perfectly, and their picadillo was even better than the carne asada! Big fan of a perfectly-made sope? The way they fry it prevented their out-of-this-world chorizo to make it all soggy. Was nice and crisp, and on par with their picadillo. Considering how we're also right down the street, I think we found our new Mexican place! read more

Outstanding Street Tacos at very reasonable prices! A staple for us; the Carne Asada is TOP NOTCH!

This is a "newish" local taco place and their food is fantastic. I am so happy to have another good option (to Pueblo Nuevo). Their carne asada and picadillo tacos and tortas are excellent. Guac is fresh (sometimes inconsistently spiced between visits -- too bland to a bit hot) but still good. read more

I've been wanting to go to here ever since it opened, I can't believe I waited so long. The parking lot and building are very well-designed and a great location. As for the service it's counter style we order and sit down, when the foods ready you pick it up! The interior is relatively new bright white colors very clean. I ordered the guacamole appetizer and one of the jumbo burritos with everything on it ground beef both were excellent a lot of food next time no appetizer and then a regular size burrito the big one is enough for two meals and it was very good! Definitely going back again there's other things on the menu I'd like to try especially the tacos read more

The tacos are good. However, wrong order. We ordered 12 steak, 5 chicken & 2 shrimp tacos. They didn't give us the shrimp taco. None of the orders were marked, or sorted, so we ended up having to open all of them to find out, the shrimp tacos are missing. Very disappointing, cause the taco is ordered for kids. read more

If you miss the palpita this place is better! Same charbroiled taste as the palpita! Very nice and clean restaurant.

The most unhygienic restaurant I've ever been to. The first and last time I will go here. I found hair in my tacos, the floors are extremely grimy, and the overall service was completely awful. The bathroom odor was disgusting. The best part about my experience is that when I was waiting in line, I heard one of the cooks speaking sexually about my body in Spanish thinking I wouldn't understand what he was saying. I felt so uncomfortable. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. read more

My husband loves this place!!! In his words "Simon Tacos is the best". Overall I really enjoy the fresh food and the super great taste. The quesadillas are made with corn tortillas so be advised they are not flour- that threw me off. Overall super great place! read more

My wife's and my favorite go to place for tacos and burritos. We've only done delivery so far due to covid but the food is fresh and flavorful. The al pastor always has a nice char and tons of flavor. One knock would be that it is a touch pricey but we're willing to pay a bit more for the quality and given the current pandemic. read more

This place is great, the burritos are huge & the nachos are delicious. They have great chips..

Taste: it's pretty good!! I usually get carne Asada but had about everything there. Pastor is damn good too! The tacos are good can't go wrong with the tacos. Just be careful if you get the chorizo burrito. It will leak like an old car!! Reason for my 3 stars is that you can tell when the asada is fresh vs when it's been sitting there. When you see the smoke come from the exhaust fans at the place that's when to go. The flan is nothing to brag about it's actually not that good. Kinda hard for flan if you ask me. The horchata is pretty good!! Service: I get the best customer service when the owner and I'm assuming that's the father. Think it's the young twin girls, one of them really doesnt know the concept of customer service. Doesn't smile or greet you with a welcome. The son/guy is much better at it and seems to care and wants to be there. It shows! Either way, it's worth the trip. The food is pretty good read more

Who doesn't like tacos? Simons' features excellent service and delicious food. This four star restaurant is a small family owned restaurant and it feels like it. You walk in and everyone is friendly and quick without feeling rushed. The food is amazing especially the steak tacos and the steak taco salad don't forget to pair that with their homemade horchata. When I finally leave I leave with great satisfaction and an almost exploding stomach as it's hard to put down those deep fried little triangles of goodness. read more
