I do understand your position with regard to the non-OEM tires used as replacement under the "tires for life" program and your well thought out response to my comment/complaint on "Yelp". I appreciate your offer to discuss alternative tire options and a reasonable substitution; however, I had already discussed this with the customer service advisor and since my last visit required two trips, one for the 30K service and one for the tires, I was and am still unwilling to entertain a third visit. So, I guess that is my decision. This should have been handled differently to keep a customer satisfied instead of driving customers away to other dealers. If customer satisfaction remains your priority maybe proactive efforts to improve the service department would be a better way to accomplish that so responses to "Yelp" complaints would not be necessary. Unfortunately, I am now unsure what the future of my Ridgeline service will be since Bill Pearce is the only Honda dealer in Reno. I suspect, I will be trading the vehicle to a dealership with a better service history, such as Mazda like I referenced. I had good years of service experience with Dolan and feel my expectations were always met by their professionalism and friendly staff. I agree that "Had you known beforehand you could have discussed OEM options". Unfortunately, no one (including Rich Gomes my service advisor, opted to discuss that option beforehand with me. He seemed to always in a hurry when dealing with me, which caused additional stress during my visit. OEM options should always be discussed with customers beforehand to provide decisions instead of just assuming generic parts will be acceptable. Not only was this not clearly communicated but it was not communicated at all until after I complained to customer service. By then it was too late to resolve the issue without yet another visit to the service department. I also reviewed other "Yelp" comments and similar complaints have been listed over the years so this appears to be a reoccurring issue with Bill Pearce service department that has gone on with no improvement. Granted other customers have provided positive feedback as well but I am focusing on my expectations and frankly it has not improved since the purchase of my Ridgeline in 2023. Back then, during my first service appointment, I complained about Rich Gomez and asked that I not be seen by him due to his unprofessionalism and the way I was treated. Specifically, I had an appointment that spelled out why I was there and he argued with me for not telling him why I was at the service department. I even had to have my truck put back into the garage a second time since the requested service had not been completed correctly the first time. Bad first impression leaving me stressed and very disappointed. Even after that first service in 2023, I continued to return to Bill Pearce for service until my most recent 30K visit with the tire replacement. Service was consistent, in that, if I left my vehicle and used the courtesy ride back home, the service would be pushed back to later in the day. I got into the habit of waiting and got my vehicle within an hour, which was acceptable. In those cases I was a happy customer indeed. But I stress that leaving my vehicle was dubious as to when it would be completed leaving me a stressful drive back up the hill to Stead in construction traffic every time. So, I do not think there are any acceptable options moving forward. It has been almost 4 years of service at Bill Pearce and I am still having bad experiences with expectations not being met. Your service should strive to exceed customer expectations not just do the minimum. I wish I felt differently but I just do not see a path forward now.

They didn't feel comfortable with trying to program a part since it was the only one in the US. I was a bit disappointed, but they were very honest with me and didn't charge me a dime for the diagnostics. That's what I call great customer service. I am definitely coming back for any other needs that arise from the car in the future, and hopefully, Lb exud won't plant a proprietary bug in the next issue I have with it. I wanted a simple inspection of my clutch and a diagnosis. John could not put down his cell phone because his conversation was more important than the customer standing in front of him. After about 30 minutes of standing around he finally acknowledged me and we got my bike up on the rack. I might add .. the shop was more filthy than the underside of my old Jeep. That should have been my clue then .. and I should have run for my life. after fumbling around with the inspection plate, John decided to take my primary cover off.. which he literally threw about three feet across and onto the floor. I was horrified!! I just replaced it last year at a cost of $500. They are cast aluminum and they crack. John spent 99% of the next two hours on his phone, texting his ex. while I had to sit there like a prisoner .. after which he told me that I needed a whole new clutch and that this one was shot.. It would cost about $1,000. this was total BS. I really thought I wouldn't get out of this place with my bike pieces back in the same places that they came from because he was paying more attention to his stupid phone than he was to the job at hand. this guy was recommended by Harley right across the 395 freeway. he actually wanted me to pay him for all the time he spent on the phone.. Including the time he went back into his office for 20 minutes to bullshit with a friend about the woman problem. my time or being a customer did not matter. if I could rate this place - 5 stars I would do it. this man definitely has psychological issues.. my motorcycle is a show bike and is worth $90,000.. and he left it covered in grease in every single place he could touch. I can't tell you how pissed I am at Harley Davidson for sending me there. believe my words.. DO NOT go to this place if you value your motorcycle. I later found out.. I could buy the replacement clutch discs for around $150 from Rivera/Primo and that the basket is ok. this guy wanted to sell me stuff I didn't need at ridiculously high prices. because I am older, he probably considered me a stupid and senile old man and figured that he could stick it to me real good. I have since found a real good shop who treats me fairly and can do the job right the first time and not sell me anything I don't need.

We purchased a Certified 2015 Mazda 6 GT here and while the purchase of the vehicle was good, the…read moreservice after the fact was non-existent. Since we had two SUVs and our kids had their own cars it became apparent that we should keep one SUV and replace the other with something different. It was my wife's primary car that we decided to get rid of. We went to a bunch of dealerships and tried several cars but after exploring the Mazda 6 we decided to pick it up. Our salesperson was friendly and fairly low pressure, once we decided on a vehicle we were handed off to a finance person. Unfortunately this is where I get frustrated. Out came the 4 square that dealers so frequently use that is meaningless. I had let them know what the max I was willing to spend and that was that. It was as simple as them saying yes or no but they insisted on using their 4 square even though I asked them not to. Finally after 45 minutes they agreed to the price (this could have been accomplished in 2 minutes). One issue we had was that there was only 1 key fob. The salesperson said he'd get the key from the previous owner or have one made there - my mistake was not getting that in writing. After the transaction was complete we took the car home. I followed up with the salesperson the next day to ask about the status of the other key & fob and he told me he'd find out and get back to me. I followed up a few more times but either didn't hear back or was told "I haven't heard back from the previous owner". Finally getting frustrated I asked what my other options were. I was told that I'd need to spend ~$300 to get a replacement key/fob and have it programmed and cut. Frustrated I did a little research. Turns out for $80 you can buy a Mazda Fob and blank key from other dealers. I managed to get this and Reno Mazda agreed to cut the key and program the fob at no cost. We dropped it off on a saturday and apparently it took 6 hours to do this - they also never bothered to call us to tell us it was done. 'The Dolan Difference' doesn't appear to be anything more than rhetoric. Unfortunately like so many other dealerships it's getting the sale and once that's done the customer service goes out the window.
