I wrote a review about Super Shuttle before, but it seems to have going the way of a candle in the wind. Nevertheless, I see Super Shuttle's pisspoor survive hasn't changed. I have ridden Super Shuttle and at times did not mind ridding along and seeing whom else we end up acquiring inside the shuttle. Sometimes you might be the only one who gets picked up and paying $14.99 (at the time) was a bargain. Later on the price was $19.99, but to get either of these prices back then, you had to do the share ride. Otherwise, the $14.99 to $19.99 would be more like 30 something or more each way. Anyhow, one of the last times I was on a Super Shuttle, this punk kid started getting rude with all his passangers. I had been on a plane from Switzerland with my sister and rudeness would not be tolerated. All of the passager were pretty much fed up with his attitude and did not tip the kid after he dropped him off. This was back in the wintertime and we did get stuck in the snow a few times too. I have called a few other times for a Super Shuttle and they never showed up for pick up and these were scheduled for a single pick up which cost more. Since those experiences happen, I have found other methods of getting to the Airport no matter which airport. I saw a while back the almost went out of business. If their pisspoor service continues the way it's going, the sure as hell will be.

We approached the area where these guys operate and gave them our voucher. While they had 3 vans lined up; they basically just told us to wait. We said that we have a pretty tight timeframe to get to DCA and their response was: Don't worry. WTF does that mean? If we miss our flight, they would comp us a new flight? After the other flyer voiced concern as well; they motioned us to the 2nd van and the driver came over to load our bags in the back. Silly us, we assumed we would then take off. Nope, the driver loaded us in the van and walked away. After a few minutes, I walked out and asked when we are leaving. Response was: You have a shared van; so we need more passengers. Gee, thanks! 3 more people showed up eventually and then we finally took off for DCA. Luckily traffic was light; so we got to DCA; but no time to spare for coffee, etc or any TSA delays. Never again! I would rather get an Uber or taxi and just expense it. Not worth the risk with these clowns!

After making excuse after excuse to stall our departure in order to fill every seat on this battered van our driver finally made his way to the driver's seat only to pull out a late nineties Tom Tom and began to program it with the addresses of each of our designations. Between his complete lack of direction and his driving ineptness there was some doubt by most of the passengers whether or not we were going to drive in circles or die in a head on collision when our driver pull into oncoming traffic attempting to drive left of the median. So you ask why the 3 stars! We survived in spite of his hapless incompetency.

I happened on Dulles Coach Services when they were advertising the DC-New York trip and was relieved to have found a car service that could actually take us to NY on our schedule (and was actually less expensive than taking the train if you're paying for two tickets). Joe was immediately responsive when I first contacted him, and answered all my questions promptly. He was communicative throughout the time I was considering booking the service and offered to do a round-trip on a weekday, since we were only going to be there for a couple of hours at most. He confirmed the night before and texted me when he arrived at our place. He arrived promptly on the day of our trip, and the car was very clean with a sleek, spotless interior. There were a couple of bottles of water and it was clear that the car was kept clean, a relief as my wife is very prone to illness. He kept the car nicely air-conditioned the whole trip, and was very personable. The trip was smooth and even, and we got to New York early even though we hit traffic once we got to Manhattan. The car is very quiet and Joe is a very safe and smooth driver. Joe dropped us off and told us to call or text him when we were done, and he would pick us up. We were done earlier than expected, but Joe left straightaway to pick us up. The ride home was also smooth and quicker than I expected. Overall, the trip went much better than I thought a drive to NY could be. We are definitely going to use them again any time we need to go to NY, and I imagine the service would be just as excellent for shorter trips, like airport drop-offs and pick-ups and anything else. The trip to NY in Joe's sedan is much, much better than any train trip or plane ride to NY I've ever taken, much more comfortable and much cleaner. Joe is very professional, kind, and the business is run very professionally. We look forward to using them in the future and hope more people use their services, as they are certainly the best and most reasonably priced service for value that we've encountered in this area.

His determination to locate them came immediately after I was told the driver had looked for them and couldn't find them. If this was a review of the driver it would be 0-stars to match her personality and customer service skills. She made an error on her phone of the hotel address and after making a U-Turn told me it was my fault it was wrong. She handed me her phone and I entered the hotel address myself and she proceeded to try to drop me first at the wrong hotel (only 1/2 off) and then at a corporate office building (only .1 of a mile off). Luckily, Kevin saved my head from completely exploding when he located my glasses, which were "sitting right there when I opened the door."
