eggs benedict was sooo good!! country scrambler okay, need more sauce but love that they include pancake and fruits. service at the bar was quick! lucky to get a spot when it's so crowded for brunch here

My turkey club and onion rings were very good. The egg rolls appetizer was not good and the Pastrami Rueben was a bit fatty. Nice waiter. Open late.

Another visit to Silver Diner, and another fantastic experience. As usual, this location at National Harbor was hopping, but after only a short wait, we got a booth and dug into the menu. We got the chicken pot pie, a kind of deconstructed dish with the potted chicken served like a stew with two large halves of flaky pie crust on top. We also got the steak and eggs, and the avocado toast with eggs. And we finished it off with my favorite dessert - the World's Smallest Sundae. Good food and good fun, as usual. Silver Diner is my go-to spot at National Harbor, and it should be yours, too!

Silver Diner is located at the main entrance of National Harbor, in what was the former Elevation Burger. Interior is surprisingly large and even with this space, there was a 15-minute wait due to a large event happening in the harbor, so I decided to sit at the counter. Menu is reasonably extensive and includes all-day breakfast. I ordered the Lumberjack Breakfast with and coffee, which arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The eggs and coffee were average, with the bacon being good and the sausage link was thick. Home fries came with caramelized onions that were a pleasant surprise. Pancakes came with warm syrup. Service was good, and overall, this was a decent stop, with the biggest problem being the price. With tip my breakfast ended up being almost $30 and that's high even for this area. Would I return here? Possibly.

Breakfast was just ok this visit . I felt like it was a waste of money. The pancakes were dry and almost seemed like they came out of the freezer and went into the toaster over. The fruit was fresh and sweet but the only thing that was good to me were the eggs and bacon. The bacon was the star of the show. It had a maple sweetness to it and it was cooked to perfection. My potatoes were sorta dry-and overloaded with green onions. My waiter was pretty nice and attentive, she kept my water refills coming so I didn't want to give her a hard time. I don't know if it was a bad morning, or if this is the norm for them but I don't know if I'll be back anytime soon. But give them a shot, might be your lucky day.

I came to visit the national harbor, and my family decided to stop by Silver Diner for a quick bite. The service was very nice, friendly and quick. They were able to accommodate my entire family (10 of us) into one table. The ambiance was very nice, mellow and cozy. As for the food, it was very delicious. My entire family enjoyed what they had. Our waiter was very kind! I had the tuna melt, and it was delicious! The toast itself was very warm and toasty. I also had some of my mom's açaí bowl and it was so yummy. Overall, everything was great, from the food down to the service! Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

They got it right!!! We were seated in what I call the VIP section. There's a few tables in the back by the bar which I thought might be a different place at first but I was happy to sit there. What they got right, almost everything but especially the volume on the music. The volume is the best I've ever heard anywhere anytime in life (at an establishment). And it may have just been me but the playlist was personal. I wasn't in my feelings or anything like that but it was my kind of music. Definitely had a Gen X vibe going. There are few things that have yet to miss at SD. 1. Mimosa & 2. Iced Tea. Both of these are always on point and I thank you for your consistency. What is a hit or miss is the chicken sausage. Often it's dry, mostly bc there's less fat in chicken but it is never bad. The food overall was good so there was no complaint there. The only complaint I have is how long it took to get service once seated. I can't really complain about how long it took to get a seat because it is the holidays and people gotta eat and there aren't a lot of full breakfast places here so I expected the wait to be seated. I didn't expect the wait for service to be as long as the wait to be seated. In their defense, there were only two people working the whole bar area. That's the bar which was packed and the restaurant part of the bar area. All-in-all it was a good experience and I will be back so...

After checking out of the hotel Sunday morning, we had a late breakfast at Silver Diner. There was about a 45 minute wait for 2 for inside seating. We were seated in about 35 minutes! Once we were seated it took a little bit for someone to come to our table with water and ask for our drinks, so we made sure we knew everything we wanted to ask for at one time. We ordered our meals and they came out in a decent amount of time for how crowded it was. We both enjoyed our meals. I loved that they had healthy options. Silver Diner is spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating, lots of tables and booths. They even have an area with seating near the kitchen, kind of set up like a bar. The service was pretty good and they did great getting us in and out despite how crowded it was.

Amazing food and service. We were there with a group of 11 family members for breakfast. We will definitely dine there again if we're in the area.

I love this franchise and really wanted to love this location but between the flies flying around everywhere to the lack of service, my friends and I decided to leave after we finished our mid day coffee and cocktails . Maybe next time!

In National Harbor has a really spiffy and nostalgic diner called Silver Diner. The place cooks eggs raised in their area, along with a lot of vegan options. The plus is they even have turkey bacon! I rarely can find a breakfast spot that can cater to me not being able to eat beef or pork due to my religion. It was really nice! My brothers and mom loved their food, especially me. I haven't had pancakes in years. It was definitely a treat trying theirs with two eggs and turkey bacon! The place gets super packed in the morning, so I highly recommend coming here early before the rush!

Swung by here for Happy Hour after a long day. The ambiance was pretty typical for any Silver Diner location. The waiter at the bar side of the restaurant almost tripped me up giving the wrong time for Happy Hour to end, but I showed her the correct time outlined on the menu. I ordered the Old Bay Wings ($8 for 5 or 6 halved wings), Avocado Toast ×2 ($6 each), a margarita ($8), and an Angry Orchard ($4 or $6). I was very pleased with everything. The Avocado Toast (had no idea that could be a Happy Hour menu item) was the clear winner! Very tasty & delicious. The wings were good too but I think were a bit too small for my liking & slightly overcooked. The sauces with the wings were amazing (I probably should've took some to go). The drinks were good. I ended up getting another drink on the house randomly so I appreciated that I would definitely come again for Happy Hour when it isnt gloomy & raining outside. Just know that you'll definitely need to drive or ride share to the location. I would suggest catching the bus but it may take forever depending on where in the DMV you are.

Stopped by Silver Diner for an early dinner and hopefully so they would redeem themselves for my first visit. We got wings, crab cake sliders, steak and eggs, etc. all was soooo good!!! If you are going to get a drink, just opt for a glass of wine. Do not bother getting a mixed drink. This Silver Diner is easy, family friendly, obviously a cute vintage diner vibe/theme and the staff is super nice. I appreciate being to able to go somewhere local that has attractions but I am also able to eat affordably and with a child. The first time I went here was on a busy Saturday night for dinner with my sister and our daughters.. it was A MESS. Good food but literally a mess! They ran out of chicken wings and didn't bring me any. My 2y/o never got her drink.. so forth and so on they def made up for it this visit. I will be back!

After reading through a number of glowing reviews, I decided to give it a shot, and I am so glad I did. It lived up to the reputation completely. If you are planning a visit, consider this your warning to pace yourself because everything on the menu is worth ordering. My group definitely went overboard, but in the best way possible. We started with the deviled eggs, which my table mates raved about. I didn't personally try them, but based on how quickly they disappeared, they are clearly a must-order. The pork belly ssam was a standout, perfectly balanced and easily one of the highlights of the night. We also shared the dirty chicken and the tater tots, both of which hit the mark. For our sides, we opted for the namesake corn succotash and the seasonal ginger broccoli. Both were seasoned beautifully and complemented the heavier dishes well. It is rare to find a spot where the sides feel just as intentional and well-executed as the entrees. The drinks were just as impressive, rounding out the meal perfectly. My only advice for next time is to exercise a little more restraint because while I want to try everything on the menu, the portions are generous. I will definitely be heading back soon to work my way through the rest of the offerings. It is a solid choice for anyone looking for elevated Southern comfort food in a great atmosphere.

We found parking relatively easily on the street nearby, and the restaurant possesses a few of its own spots near the side of the building. I would encourage reservations on the weekends or peak times (such as holidays) as the restaurant remained consistently packed with a wait during our meal. The two of us plus our infant son were seated in a generous booth immediately upon arrival. Our waiter quickly greeted us and took our order. We opted to start with the scotch eggs. The dish brought a perfect jammy egg coated in zesty chicken chorizo and seasoned bread crumbs which made for a melty, crunchy, and savory bite, truly addictive paired with a zippy chimichurri mayo. We also ordered a side of eggs for our son which, while cooked thoroughly per our request, possessed a fluffy and light texture with a smart chives garnish. Our mains arrived after a bit of a lull. I went for the French toast topped with crispy chicken, and my wife got the hot chicken sandwich. The chicken on both dishes had a crisp crust with well seasoned, juicy meat. The French toast on my dish had custardy innards with a craggy cornflake crust. The dish would have eaten too sweet as is, but I requested some hot honey which offered a bit of complementary, welcome heat. My wife's hot chicken sandwich was not particularly spicy and its flavor was muffed a bit by bland cheese, but it was nonetheless satisfying and we really enjoyed the exemplary side of sweet potato fries. The great service we received merits additional attention. Our waiter, despite being swamped, was welcoming and available throughout service. He was thoughtful too in offering to bring our son's eggs with the appetizers so that we had plenty of time to feed him. The ambiance here is very lively during brunch, which we personally enjoyed though may not be ideal for an intimate occasion. The restaurant does offer a sizeable outdoor patio which seems very pleasant if the weather cooperates. Overall, we enjoyed the food here well enough and had a great experience overall due to a fun atmosphere and hospitable service.

Truly though, the lack of service couldn't have been lost on our server or your mngmt that evening (unless we were just that ignored and overlooked sitting in the middle of your outdoor space) because it should've been made right that same evening with even a simple apology or explanation for the night as a whole by your manager. Hopefully our experience was a one time deal for you and it'll be lost in sea of 5 star ratings. But no thank you, we won't be coming back.

Amazing views of the Potomac River, the national Harbor wheel, and pier are spectacular! We were seated downstairs by the window and received OUTSTANDING service from Tsehay!!! We were fortunate to be seated in Tsehay's section for dinner when we requested a table by the window. My high school friend and I were so busy catching up that we could not review the menu and place an order each time Tsehay came to the table to take it! She was so very attentive, kind, sweet, accommodating and patient. What great service! I would come back and ask for her every single time! She is the reason I would come back to the restaurant along with the beautiful views of the Potomac River at the nationalHarbour. We ordered the crab deviled eggs and loaded tater tots. Yummy!! I ordered the Golden Beets salad with blackened shrimp and my friend ordered the butternut squash ravioli. She loved the ravioli! The salad was yummy too. I would definitely recommend this place for a simple dinner with lovely ambience and good food..... not to mention excellent service again by our amazing server Tsehay!!

For appetizers, I ordered the fried oyster deviled eggs, and wow... they were so good. The little fried oysters on top of the deviled eggs were such a perfect combination. Crispy, creamy, flavorful -- definitely something I would order again without hesitation. For my entrée, I had the whole grilled branzino served over a green bean and fennel salad, and let me tell you... this was hands down one of the best branzinos I've ever had. The fish was seasoned perfectly and cooked beautifully. And that green bean and fennel salad underneath? So much better than I expected. I actually considered swapping it out, and I'm so glad I didn't because it completed the dish perfectly. Every bite was delicious. I also had a cocktail called the Endless Summer -- a tequila drink with this amazing foam on top -- and it was excellent. I asked the bartender for a recommendation, and she absolutely delivered. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. I went by myself, sat at the bar, and genuinely enjoyed every minute of it. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, and just an overall really enjoyable experience. I will definitely be back, and I absolutely recommend checking it out if you're at the Harbor.

And that alone shows just how consistent they are when it comes to providing outstanding service and a menu that never disappoints ( literally ) I wanted something I never personally tasted , so I tried the Branzino fish and was pleasantly surprised at how fluffy and seasoned it was. And when it comes to getting everything kicked started, you can never go wrong with the double fried chicken wings ( best in the business by a long shot ) So this coming spring and summer The Walrus Oyster & Ale House will be my favorite sit down location in the DMV area !!!! FYI: The have outside seating and a really cool happy hour !! ( you got to try the local oysters during happy hour )
