Home sweet home once again it's on! The best Fogo restaurant in the DMV hands down also the bartenders are amazing

I love this restaurant at every location but the food is was really cooked well. Our server was super attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was really nice especially if you can get a seat by the water but wasn't a huge fan sitting at a table by the bar it was very loud I couldn't hear the person I was with.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

So I guess that I'm the last person to find out how amazing the happy hour is at Fogo de Chão. Let me just say this is an all day happy hour that you will probably choose to go to over and over, because it's really that good!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you can get a seat at the bar, you're in the best position!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All of the cocktails that I had were exceptional in quality. The happy hour food menu has excellent selections and will allow you to actually get full. The spinach dip was so amazing that we ordered it twice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While the bar was packed while I was there, I loved the ambiance, it still gave an elevated experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm happy that we have a piece of Brazil here in MD.

Place us centrally located on the harbor with self serve parking that's a bit pricey. It was easy to make a reservation and table available up in arrival. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables are a bit too close to each other making it difficult for the gauchos to come thru with the meats with ease.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is greatly decorated but it can feel overwhelming with all the crowded tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff are nice but servers take a long time to come to the tables and meat offerings are very spread out at each table. Not sure I'd come back to this establishment as Tysons corner has way more ample seating space and more meat variety coming around.

11.30.2025. It's hard to believe this is my first time inside Fogo- National Harbor. I watched it being built and knew it was a great addition to the lineup. My friends have incorporated Fogo into their rotation & reiterate how difficult it is to get a seat at the bar. The great all day HH deals are likely the reason why. However, on this particular cold & dreary Sunday, my friends arrived early & ensured there was space for me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I washed my hands then checked out the restaurant & buffet spread. It looked amazing!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately, I wasn't hungry enough to partake. I grabbed a couple of my friend's crispy fries while waiting for my spinach dip & crab cake. They were tasty. So much so, that I had to resist the urge to grab more. My friends also ordered a Gold Rush for me that was fantastic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such an attractive warmly lit restaurant. Perfect for gathering to discuss an upcoming trip, date night, or whatever.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Shout out to the team that had a hand in transforming it from McLoone's Pier House that I also enjoyed.

Fogo de Chão was such a vibe. I went on a Saturday around 3:30 pm and caught their all day happy hour, which was perfect. We sat at the bar and ordered the strawberry hibiscus caipirinha, the saucy legs, and the picanha burger to split, and everything was amazing. The saucy legs were the standout. Fall off the bone tender, super flavorful, and topped with little scotch bonnet peppers that added the perfect kick. The drink was refreshing and honestly transported me straight to an island. The bar service was okay, but the food and drinks were the real reason I was there, and they did not disappoint. I can't wait to go back.

This was my second visit to the National Harbor location. I met a friend for Happy Hour on a Saturday evening around 6. Surprisingly there were available seats at the bar, and we sat down right away. The service is pretty good at the bar, depending on how busy they are. We both ordered cocktails and started with the empanadas and the short rib sliders which were both so good. I still felt like I needed a little something, so I ordered another cocktail and the lamb chop lollipops. The chops were delicious and cooked perfectly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fogo is a beautiful restaurant with lots of ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've only ever been on Saturday's and they are always packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My daughter treated us out to dinner for my birthday. It was so nice. We got there right on time and was seated as soon as we got there. To my surprise, the whole staff that waited on us were young. They were probably early 20s but they looked like they were 16 and earning money for prom. You can tell they were young not only by how they looked but how they acted BUT they were very professional and were on top of their job. There were two main girls that waited on us but because we were right by the register we got supported by others as well but the dude at the end... I'll tell you about him at the end. It's Fogo so you already know what to expect. A nice dining experience with a lot of red meat. I don't eat pork so I told them that and I only needed to mention it 2 times and from then on, when pork came out, they would ask the ladies but skip me so I liked that attention to detail. They offered to take our plates once they were pretty much cleaned and didn't wait for us to get up for a new plate before taking them away. They also kept our glasses full. For me, I enjoyed seeing them interact with each other because they seemed like they liked each other and worked well together. It also seems like they've been doing this a while and after I sent the pork away from me the main waitress came over and went over our allergies with us and then told us there wasn't much to stay away from that was out but there was one dish that had nuts. When we were done with the main course and time for deserts, she came back and advised us of what to stay away from due to allergies. She did however, offer to make some adjustments so we could have a desert everyone wanted that had something that one was allergic to but she was able to have it prepared w/o the allergen and we were very thankful of that. But first, when we finished eating, I was full. I didn't want desert but dude came out. I forget his name but let's call him Ricco Suave because bro was very personable. He told me my desert would be free because it was my birthday and since I was getting desert, I couldn't keep them from getting desert. His mannerisms was so smooth that it was funny to me but as I said, we all got desert and had a great night. I'm definitely coming back to this location. I've eaten at all DMV locations and this is my favorite just off service alone.

I came here after standing in line for almost two hours for a book signing, it was so worth it! Fogo was across the street, and I saw they have all-day happy hour, so I decided to try it. Their happy hour did not disappoint. I ordered the Brazilian empanadas, they were incredible and generously stuffed! I loved the chimichurri aioli that came with them. The crispy yuca fries paired nicely with the aioli as well. I also ordered the braised beef sliders, they were well-seasoned and melted in my mouth. While I was dining, a homeless woman came into the restaurant, and the guest services manager handled it beautifully. She gave her a table in the corner of the restaurant and treated her with absolute kindness. For that alone, I will return to this Fogo! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I highly recommend this restaurant, their happy hour did not disappoint and the decor is really nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although the outside is going through construction.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I went to Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse and pre-ordered for pickup--glad I did because the restaurant was extremely busy. When we received our food, we did have have to remind them to provide utensils, and the wait was very long. That said, it was a busy weekend with many guests coming in from surrounding hotels, which explained the delay. Despite this, the staff remained professional the entire time and were accommodating whenever we asked for something. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the steak, my sister had the chicken, and the crème brûlée cheesecake was amazing. I would definitely recommend Fogo de Chão.

Happy hour menu
Michaele S.

The service here is a bit slow so even if you are coming for happy hour, expect to wait 15-20 mins to get your plates. Also every table around us got table bread except ours which we noticed towards the end of our meal. We had: Lobster & shrimp tacos: these were fine, the "taco shell" is a single piece of lettuce but you get a decent amount of filling Empanadas: 5, these were good Chicken something from the happy hour menu: 4 drumsticks, these were good too Lamb lollipops: 4 pieces, a little fatty but fine Over all the food and drinks were good and worth the happy hour prices and it's all day happy hour as well. It did take awhile for the waiter to come back and take our check in the end as well even though the dining room wasn't full.

We usually go to DC , but tried this one because it is closer and cheaper. Location is good, street parking (meter) or parking lot. Inside is very nice and is what you would expect from Fogo.Bar area and dining area with nice view of harbor. Staff is friendly and very attentive, and the meat kept coming with no delays. Everything was delicious. Salad Bar has the usual, different design so stays busy and not as easy to navigate. Overall a great experience!!!

I had a wonderful experience with colleagues last night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the Christmas decor and they have a pretty expansion salad bar that is self-serve.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I could get full of that alone. For my entree, I ordered the Single Churrasco of Picanha steak. The meat was delicious and cooked perfectly--flavorful and well-seasoned. The staff were very kind and accommodating. They made me a quenching Old Fashioned with Woodford Reserve, which is my favorite Bourbon. It was a great complement to the dinner. The polenta was also nicely made as were the accompanying side dishes. I ended the dinner with the molten chocolate cake which I shared with a beloved colleague. I highly recommend this spot. This was my first time at Fogo de Chao, I definitely see the hype from friends and family members who just adore the place. Bravo!

We ordered quickly and got an order of skillet cornbread, a crabcake, and shrimp and grits. Omg- so good. The cornbread was served with honey butter that made it almost desesert like. But the cornbread itself was savory, so there was a perfect balance. So good! The crab cake was unbelievable. So good. (Similar to what you would get at a pappadeaux for context.) Literally a showstopper. The shrimp and grits were really good too. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and were sweet and juicy. The grits were good, but personally I like more cheese in them. But adding the crystal hot sauce made up for it. Just an amazing meal! Our server Luna was super friendly, hard working and we so enjoyed her! She is a real asset to this place! Great job and great food!

My cousin and I stopped by on Friday, June 12, 2026, craving one of our favorites--the pimento burger. As usual, we grabbed two open seats at the bar that had just been vacated. A waiter greeted us and said he would return after cleaning the area. Another staff member brought us water, and we waited to place our order. While waiting, I noticed a couple sit down at the bar near us. To my surprise, the first waiter immediately went over to them, took their order, and prepared their drinks while my cousin and I continued to sit there without any acknowledgment. I eventually asked the waiter if he was assigned to our section, and he confirmed that he was. I then asked why the couple had been served before us when we had arrived first. His flippant response was, "Because they're regulars." I replied that, with good customer service, I could become a regular too. He then shrugged and said, "They know management." Thinking I must have misunderstood, I asked him to repeat himself. He again said, "They know management." What bothered me most was not that regular customers were recognized. Great hospitality includes making loyal guests feel appreciated. The problem was the message that seemed to be conveyed--that some customers are more deserving of attention than others because of who they know. When I expressed concern, the waiter appeared dismissive and uninterested in addressing it. Instead of clarifying or apologizing, he repeated the same explanation and shrugged off our concerns. At that point, my cousin looked at me and asked, "Are you ready?" We got up and left without ordering anything. This experience was especially disappointing because it was so different from the positive visits I've had here before. We came expecting good food and a welcoming atmosphere, but instead left feeling ignored and undervalued. I hope management takes customer service seriously and addresses situations like this. Every guest should feel welcomed and respected, whether they are a first-time visitor, a regular, or someone who knows management. Unfortunately, this experience makes me reluctant to return anytime soon. I can't say that I wouldn't recommend Succotash National Harbor, as I've enjoyed many good meals there in the past, but this visit left a lasting negative impression. To make matters worse, my cousin and I never even got the chance to order the pimento burger we came for .

For an appetizer, we had the rolls that came with a mustard butter and the lamb bacon. We absolutely loved the bacon and the rolls, but the butter just wasn't good. For dinner, I had the pork chops (which were huge- thick, juicy, and perfectly cooked) but I do wish the sauce was a bit thicker or more pronounced. My boyfriend had the rack of lamb, but when it came out it was a half rack so that was a little surprising. We got the trio of three sides, and really enjoyed the Mac and cheese and the asparagus, but the broccoli with the Greek yogurt was our absolute favorite. We did order 9 oz glasses of wine each, despite the absolute shocking price of $30 a glass. Personally, the dessert menu wasn't thrilled. We were celebrating an anniversary and they did bring us out complimentary macaroons which was super kind, but they were the kind from Trader Joe's so I'd almost say just do without. I don't eat beef or pork, but after watching a review from Peaks100, I saw that the manager also recommended the seafood along with the steaks. My wife eats steak, so I took her there for that, and I planned to order seafood. Spoiler alert: my wife enjoyed her steak. Now that I got that out of the way, let me continue. https://youtu.be/5uPuX7Fk_cE?si=H7NI2vI_uMWAeREq Appetizer Octopus Ceviche -- $18 I told our server that I didn't want any pork on it. She seemed surprised and told me it didn't come with pork. I had already looked up "pancetta crumble" and knew pancetta was pork, so I showed her the menu. She then said she knew what pancetta was and would make sure there was no pork on my plate. The ceviche itself didn't have much flavor. I didn't really enjoy it, but it wasn't bad enough for me to complain or send it back. Dinner Housemade "Parkerhouse" Rolls -- $8 These came out fresh and hot with butter. They were good. No complaints. Chef's Fresh Catch -- $50 The fresh catch was grouper. The fish had some salt on it and a nice char, but the heavy cream-based sauce on the plate didn't have much flavor. Again, I didn't really enjoy it, but not enough to complain or return the dish. Jumbo Lump Crab Oscar -- $28 Wow, this was not good at all. I probably should have sent it back, but I didn't. It was tough and rubbery (see pic), almost like it had been left under the broiler too long. I took it home with me, but I honestly will probably end up throwing it away. Sides Crispy Brussels Sprouts -- $13 These were good, but somewhat oily. Yukon Gold Potato Purée -- $12 They were okay. Nothing to write home about. Dessert Coconut Cream Bread Pudding -- $14 It was just okay. The coconut flakes was too much, in my opinion, and eventually became overwhelming. It didn't feel very balanced. Overall, I felt the service could have been better, and most of the food needed more flavor, especially at this price point. Nothing was so terrible that I felt the need to ask for a manager, but I also didn't enjoy most of what I ordered. I ordered it, so I paid for it and kept it moving. Also, a 25% gratuity was already added to the bill. Maybe that is why the service was lacking, because they already knew they were going to get 25% "allegedly". Honestly, I don't think I'll be back. There are too many other good places in the DMV where you can have better food and a better overall experience for the same price or less.

Don't skip the **skillet cornbread** it arrives in a Lodge cast iron pan, golden and slightly crispy on the edges, with a scoop of whipped honey butter that melts right in. Absolutely worth it. Great atmosphere, solid service, and a menu that has something for everyone. Will definitely be back.

Amazing food and fantastic lemon drop but honestly, quite possibly the worst dining experience…read morewe've ever had. * Warm beer * Uncarbonated whiskey and coke * Sat at 7:30, ordered no later than 8 and that's being generous, and still didn't receive food until 9:17. They close at 9. * One of us received the wrong order and had to wait longer * Another received their side with our check which came out 10 minutes after getting our food. But don't worry they took it off our over $300 bill. Good god Redstone, that's the best you could do?! I will never eat here again, and I will never recommend this restaurant to anybody. Do I blame the waiter? Only partially. Because with what we experienced as a whole, terrible management and terrible kitchen. Update: I don't know how to respond directly to you Ryan but unfortunately our party of 7 was only in town a few days to celebrate our daughter's college graduation. Truly though, the lack of service couldn't have been lost on our server or your mngmt that evening (unless we were just that ignored and overlooked sitting in the middle of your outdoor space) because it should've been made right that same evening with even a simple apology or explanation for the night as a whole by your manager. Hopefully our experience was a one time deal for you and it'll be lost in sea of 5 star ratings. But no thank you, we won't be coming back.

Hands down probably the best restaurant I have eaten at so far this year…read more Amazing food, friendly service, and a nice ambiance. The place can get quite busy so I would highly recommend making a reservation first. We ordered some cocktails which all tasted amazing, I enjoyed the espresso martini the most. Our table ordered the baked oysters and tuna tartare to start. The oysters were seriously so fricking good, I wanted to order another round! The tuna tarate was refreshing and tasted really good as well. I highly recommend ordering the fish curry or their scallop entree. I also got to have a bite of the chicken & waffles and the steak pasta but I would skip on those. Super excited to come back!!

This was not what I expected to write after looking forward to lunch at Matt and Tony's for quite…read moresome time. But someone has to say it: the king isn't wearing any clothes. My wife and I arrived around 1:20 p.m. on a Thursday. The lunch crowd was still going strong, which only reinforced that we had picked a popular spot. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill almost immediately. When we walked in, there was no hostess to be found. After waiting about four minutes, she finally appeared and offered us a choice between a small table in the corner or one by the bar. Given how busy the restaurant was, we took the table by the bar. About seven minutes later, someone finally came by to offer us water and explained that our server was busy, but she would help us in the meantime. No problem. We ordered the Avo Goddess Salad and asked that it be split so we could share it. A few minutes later, our server arrived, introduced herself, and we let her know we had already ordered the salad and were ready to place our lunch orders. She was very helpful in guiding my wife toward the Old Bay Shrimp Burger. I was excited to order the Shrimp and Grits until I learned it contained Andouille sausage and, according to our server, couldn't be prepared without it. Since the restaurant highlights that everything is made from scratch, that surprised me. I ended up ordering the Ahi Tuna Salad instead. So far, so good. Then came the frustration. We spent the next 20 minutes slowly picking at our salad, growing increasingly hungry and confused. You know something is wrong when guests who were seated after you begin receiving their meals before you. Finally, at 2:10 p.m., our food arrived: my Ahi Tuna Salad and a Pulled Lamb Sandwich for my wife. Except my wife had ordered the Shrimp Burger. When we pointed out the mistake to what was now our third server, she quickly assured us it would be corrected. A few minutes later, our original server returned and took full responsibility. She explained that the lamb and shrimp items are next to each other in the POS system and she accidentally selected the wrong item. She assured us the Shrimp Burger would be out in two minutes and suggested we enjoy the fries that came with the lamb sandwich while we waited. Unfortunately, another ten minutes passed before the burger finally arrived. Here's where things became truly disappointing: the top bun was still cold--almost frozen. My wife ended up removing it entirely and eating the sandwich with just the bottom bun. At best, the Shrimp Burger was decent, but certainly not worth the wait and frustration. As for my Ahi Tuna Salad, it felt like something I could easily make at home, especially considering the $25 price tag. I'm also not entirely convinced the tuna was particularly fresh. I can't bring myself to give Matt and Tony's one star because the atmosphere is genuinely cool and inviting. So I settled on two stars--mostly for how I felt before the experience unraveled. And listen, I get it. Mistakes happen. We're all human. But as someone who eats out frequently, here's one piece of advice: when a restaurant makes a significant mistake with a customer's order, consider taking that item off the bill. Sometimes that gesture is the only reason a guest decides to come back.
