If it's only going to be in the bar area then they should think about time limits We went around 6p and waited until 6:30 for space to open up. Once it did, we were taken care of. I ordered a Strawberry Caipirinha which was so good and pretty strong. Then we shared Brazilian empanadas, cheesy bread, palm and spinach dip and the filet mignon board. 5 stars across the board but I will say the spinach dip could be creamier (a little loose) and either more bread or chips since you don't get enough to finish the dish. The Filet is an 8 oz so you can definitely get full off of the bites alone It was a great vibe with a mixed crowd. Good place to watch the games if you get a spot early enough. This was by far the best Fogo de Chão experience we've ever had! From the moment we were seated, the service was exceptional. The staff checked on us frequently, made sure we always had what we needed, and genuinely made us feel welcome. The meats were fresh, incredibly flavorful, and cooked exactly to our preferred temperature every time they came to the table. The gauchos were attentive and happy to accommodate our requests, making the entire dining experience feel personalized. Everything--from the service, to the ambiance, to the quality of the food--was outstanding. If you're looking for an unforgettable Brazilian steakhouse experience, this location absolutely delivers. So I guess that I'm the last person to find out how amazing the happy hour is at Fogo de Chão. Let me just say this is an all day happy hour that you will probably choose to go to over and over, because it's really that good!!! If you can get a seat at the bar, you're in the best position!!! All of the cocktails that I had were exceptional in quality. The happy hour food menu has excellent selections and will allow you to actually get full. The spinach dip was so amazing that we ordered it twice. While the bar was packed while I was there, I loved the ambiance, it still gave an elevated experience. I've been going to various Fogo de Chao locations for years. They started out great but now they have really gone downhill and just continue to disappoint. The food quality is so inconsistent that I am surprised they are still a fixture of corporate dining. The National Harbor location follows the same formulaic tactic that I have experienced many times. Green is supposed to mean "Yes, please" Here, it means the servers not only slowly bring out the meats, they repeat the same cheaper cuts of chicken and sausage over and over again. Even when requested several times for picanha, lamb chops, bone in ribeye. They continue with the chicken, sausage, bacon wrapped items, and spicy steak. But at least these would be dry and overcooked. Request more cuts of meat and they will bring out pineapple and tri-tip. Request again they will finally bring out the picahna when most of our party was almost done eating and waiting. Oh wait, they will bring the lamb chops after they've taken away your plates. Sadly many others cuts will never arrive. Our party was there for almost two hours. Yes we were enjoying conversation but this same process has played out at other locations across the country. With other dining options in the area, I would recommend enjoying your evening elsewhere. read more

Place us centrally located on the harbor with self serve parking that's a bit pricey. It was easy to make a reservation and table available up in arrival. The tables are a bit too close to each other making it difficult for the gauchos to come thru with the meats with ease. The place is greatly decorated but it can feel overwhelming with all the crowded tables. Staff are nice but servers take a long time to come to the tables and meat offerings are very spread out at each table. Not sure I'd come back to this establishment as Tysons corner has way more ample seating space and more meat variety coming around. read more

Wow what a shocking difference in experiences from one month to the next. I attended the monthly event in November and had an amazing time and experience. So much so, that I came back in December and brought friends for my early birthday celebration. This experience was the complete opposite. I reserved a table by phone well in advance for a table of 6 and received my confirmation via Open Table. One of my guests arrived before me and was told I didn't have a reservation. Not sure if the hostess was new or not but she didn't know how to read the monitor and my friend had to find the reservation for her. After my friend was seated, 2 random strangers were sat at my table. Once my friend confirmed they didn't know me, she tried to inform the restaurant and eventually they were moved to another table. When I arrived and met my friends at the table, service was slow. The server came over and immediately brought the bill for us to pay in order to get our drink tickets. This is the first time that that has happened. We asked her what would happen if we prepay and then order additional items. Would we be charged in 2 different transacations which didn't make sense to me? She did not know. I asked her if the format for this event was different and she was unsure as well. There were food and drinks on the bar but no clear directions were ever given to us in terms of what we are responsible for getting up and getting and what would be brought to the table. Eventually, I asked for a manager because there were too many issues. The manager basically stated that corporate wanted to change the format into a more cocktail reception style event and the restaurant tried to create a hybrid. The Harbor location is not conducive for that. I also learned that all the staff and even the manager were new. I was very disappointed with my birthday experience this time around. I strongly suggest they go back to the seat down version and bring back the old staff who had excellent customer service and knowledge. read more

11.30.2025. It's hard to believe this is my first time inside Fogo- National Harbor. I watched it being built and knew it was a great addition to the lineup. My friends have incorporated Fogo into their rotation & reiterate how difficult it is to get a seat at the bar. The great all day HH deals are likely the reason why. However, on this particular cold & dreary Sunday, my friends arrived early & ensured there was space for me. I washed my hands then checked out the restaurant & buffet spread. It looked amazing!!! Unfortunately, I wasn't hungry enough to partake. I grabbed a couple of my friend's crispy fries while waiting for my spinach dip & crab cake. They were tasty. So much so, that I had to resist the urge to grab more. My friends also ordered a Gold Rush for me that was fantastic. Such an attractive warmly lit restaurant. Perfect for gathering to discuss an upcoming trip, date night, or whatever. Shout out to the team that had a hand in transforming it from McLoone's Pier House that I also enjoyed. read more

Fogo de Chão was such a vibe. I went on a Saturday around 3:30 pm and caught their all day happy hour, which was perfect. We sat at the bar and ordered the strawberry hibiscus caipirinha, the saucy legs, and the picanha burger to split, and everything was amazing. The saucy legs were the standout. Fall off the bone tender, super flavorful, and topped with little scotch bonnet peppers that added the perfect kick. The drink was refreshing and honestly transported me straight to an island. The bar service was okay, but the food and drinks were the real reason I was there, and they did not disappoint. I can't wait to go back. read more

This was my second visit to the National Harbor location. I met a friend for Happy Hour on a Saturday evening around 6. Surprisingly there were available seats at the bar, and we sat down right away. The service is pretty good at the bar, depending on how busy they are. We both ordered cocktails and started with the empanadas and the short rib sliders which were both so good. I still felt like I needed a little something, so I ordered another cocktail and the lamb chop lollipops. The chops were delicious and cooked perfectly. Fogo is a beautiful restaurant with lots of ambiance. I've only ever been on Saturday's and they are always packed. read more

My daughter treated us out to dinner for my birthday. It was so nice. We got there right on time and was seated as soon as we got there. To my surprise, the whole staff that waited on us were young. They were probably early 20s but they looked like they were 16 and earning money for prom. You can tell they were young not only by how they looked but how they acted BUT they were very professional and were on top of their job. There were two main girls that waited on us but because we were right by the register we got supported by others as well but the dude at the end... I'll tell you about him at the end. It's Fogo so you already know what to expect. A nice dining experience with a lot of red meat. I don't eat pork so I told them that and I only needed to mention it 2 times and from then on, when pork came out, they would ask the ladies but skip me so I liked that attention to detail. They offered to take our plates once they were pretty much cleaned and didn't wait for us to get up for a new plate before taking them away. They also kept our glasses full. For me, I enjoyed seeing them interact with each other because they seemed like they liked each other and worked well together. It also seems like they've been doing this a while and after I sent the pork away from me the main waitress came over and went over our allergies with us and then told us there wasn't much to stay away from that was out but there was one dish that had nuts. When we were done with the main course and time for deserts, she came back and advised us of what to stay away from due to allergies. She did however, offer to make some adjustments so we could have a desert everyone wanted that had something that one was allergic to but she was able to have it prepared w/o the allergen and we were very thankful of that. But first, when we finished eating, I was full. I didn't want desert but dude came out. I forget his name but let's call him Ricco Suave because bro was very personable. He told me my desert would be free because it was my birthday and since I was getting desert, I couldn't keep them from getting desert. His mannerisms was so smooth that it was funny to me but as I said, we all got desert and had a great night. I'm definitely coming back to this location. I will say that depending on the time of day, the restaurant can be a little Loud at the bar area but of course that depends on who is around. I appreciated the bartenders and their attentiveness! I came here after standing in line for almost two hours for a book signing, it was so worth it! Fogo was across the street, and I saw they have all-day happy hour, so I decided to try it. Their happy hour did not disappoint. I ordered the Brazilian empanadas, they were incredible and generously stuffed! I loved the chimichurri aioli that came with them. The crispy yuca fries paired nicely with the aioli as well. I also ordered the braised beef sliders, they were well-seasoned and melted in my mouth. While I was dining, a homeless woman came into the restaurant, and the guest services manager handled it beautifully. She gave her a table in the corner of the restaurant and treated her with absolute kindness. For that alone, I will return to this Fogo! We recently visited Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse and unfortunately the experience started off on the wrong foot. We had a reservation for 2:15 PM on a Sunday, but we weren't seated until after 2:45 PM. The front entrance was extremely chaotic, with a large number of parties crowded around the host stand waiting to be seated. It seemed like the hosts were confused, and there wasn't clear communication about wait times or what was happening. What made it more frustrating was that management appeared to be running around trying to handle the situation, but it didn't seem like anything was actually getting resolved. The whole scene felt disorganized and stressful rather than welcoming. When you make a reservation--especially for a restaurant at this price point--you expect to be seated reasonably close to that time. Waiting 30+ minutes past the reservation with little explanation was disappointing and set a negative tone for the visit. Hopefully the restaurant can improve their reservation management and front-of-house organization, because the initial experience left a lot to be desired. read more

Fogo de Chao would normally not be on my dining list, but a friend wanted a few of us to have an experience. It's located directly on the river down by the capital wheel. We went for lunch and was quickly seated, but plan enough time to enjoy your meal. Our group ordered the Full Churrasco that came with the "salad" bar, which included various cheeses, fruits, greens, and other items that were all very fresh. The meats were all excellent, with the ones that stood out to me being the bottom sirloin, lamb, and sausage. Perhaps our only minor complaint would have been the slowness of new meat arrivals in the middle of our meal. The beverages were also spot on, with our group having soda, wine, and a cocktail. Would I return here again? Yes, but you are paying for the experience and quality. read more

When we received our food, we did have have to remind them to provide utensils, and the wait was very long. That said, it was a busy weekend with many guests coming in from surrounding hotels, which explained the delay. Despite this, the staff remained professional the entire time and were accommodating whenever we asked for something. The food was absolutely delicious. So yet again I had to go get a server. The food was good as usual but the service was just bad this day. We had a few of the people who serve the meats walk right past us even when we had our cards on green. When we tried to call them over, they ignored us or didn't hear us. When it was time to leave, I had to find a server AGAIN to ask for the check. The server and manager were both just sitting down eating. I was even able to grab a picture of them doing so without them even noticing! I don't know if it was just the time of day we went or what. Inside is very nice and is what you would expect from Fogo.Bar area and dining area with nice view of harbor. Staff is friendly and very attentive, and the meat kept coming with no delays. I had a wonderful experience with colleagues last night. I love the Christmas decor and they have a pretty expansion salad bar that is self-serve. I could get full of that alone. For my entree, I ordered the Single Churrasco of Picanha steak. The meat was delicious and cooked perfectly--flavorful and well-seasoned. The staff were very kind and accommodating. They made me a quenching Old Fashioned with Woodford Reserve, which is my favorite Bourbon. It was a great complement to the dinner. The polenta was also nicely made as were the accompanying side dishes. I ended the dinner with the molten chocolate cake which I shared with a beloved colleague. I highly recommend this spot. This was my first time at Fogo de Chao, I definitely see the hype from friends and family members who just adore the place. Bravo! read more

If you've never been to Fogo de Chão, let me paint you a picture: imagine a Brazilian steakhouse threw a Carnival party, hired a team of sword-wielding meat magicians, and said "Let's get weird." That's the vibe. From the moment I sat down, it was game on. I flipped my card to green and suddenly I was surrounded--gauchos emerging from the smoke like meat-bearing Ninjas. Picanha? Boom. Lamb chops? Boom. Bacon-wrapped filet? BOOM. It's like speed dating with protein--except every option is hot, juicy, and knows how to treat you right. Someone suggested Brazil steakhouse for dinner and I remembered they put a Fogo de Chao at the Harbor but I haven't been. Today was my lucky day lol! Located at a perfect location near the water, parking lot area (you pay when you leave), kids carousel and walking distance from the Capital Wheel and other places. It's beautifully designed from the outside to inside with a full bar, dining area and salad bar. Plus there's even outside seating which has a nice view of the bridge, water and everything. Since I don't eat meat, I didn't get the Unlimited Meat deal, I ended up just selecting seafood options which you pay per item. BRAZILIAN CHEESE BREAD Something about this texture is soooooo good and addicting. I wish other restaurant had this, it's unlimited but don't get too carried away bc this def can make you full lol. LOBSTER GARLIC MASHED POTATOES This homemade mashed potatoes infused with butter and garlic was absolutely delicious. The green onions made it even better and topped with lobster added the balance I needed. LOBSTER This lobster looked good but sadly it was overcooked so I didn't have the pleasure to eat it. Luckily, our waitress was nice and asked if I needed it re-made but I was already getting full. I appreciated the extra effort in making sure I was satisfied so they def still earned all the STARS. Things happen and it's how you treat your customers which I value. CRAB CAKE This crab cake was cooked to perfection with a slightly crusted top. Full of flavor and a great amount of crab meat with barely any filler, it's so soft it falls apart as you eat, I ended up adding this with my salad. CESAR SALAD Freshly chopped iceberg lettuce, homemade croutons and grated Parmesan. I added olive oil since I don't like salad dressing, this was exactly how I like it. It's a salad so where can you go wrong, just what I needed to off balance the proteins. CHOCOLATE BRIGADIERO This dessert is a chocolate lovers dream, such a beautiful slice of decadent dessert with whipped cream & strawberry decor. It's semi light but filled with flavor and an Oreo like crust which was chefs kiss. It's super rich and filling, I couldn't eat 1/3 so of course I took the rest home. Our beautiful waitress was exceptionally AMAZING & more. She was extra ordinary, went above and become and just made the experience 1000% better. When we arrived we were being services by Denzel in the bar area at the seated tables. He was amazing and very attentive. Once his shift was over we were transferred over to someone else. He did not check on us, we had to wave him down. It definitely dulled the vibe of our group. Our food items were good we had Lamb chops, spinach dip, empanadas, beef sliders, French fries.... Happy hour menu items. I highly recommend the happy hour. We also had drinks, strawberry hibiscus, coconut mojitos, spicy margaritas.... They were all good we had several rounds while Denzel was working the bar. It's really unfortunate that our service experience dwindled once he left. Bar Fogo is oddly shaped and not really made for interaction with the bar staff. There is a pillar holding up the building and is quite intrusive to the design of the bar and socializing. While the bartenders are attentive, if you are sitting a certain way, you can be unnoticed. The tight spaces are not comfortable either. Thank you Joao Victor and Brandon... your service and attention on this quiet night at the wharf was much appreciated. The bar menu is quite affordable and they have Clean Cocktails - if you are in a Dry January. Their polenta fries are dry, and although they serve it with a mayo based dipping spread... the Chimmichurri sauce is a savory alternative. The burger was DELISH! It's a carnivores house, and the burger was not overcooked, tasty, and plated with the polenta fries. The empanadas are tiny bite sizes of fried empanada fought with a hint of beef filling... LOVE the signature cheese bread! I have reviewed the dining experience, and noticed the open seating community tables were relocated and positioned differently (thank you management ), I am now giving the bar a chance... great for watching sports on their TV, good for groups if you can all fit in the strangely designed bar area... and the staff are super! read more

We decided to end our Christmas themed night at Fogo de Chao after the ICE! event at the Gaylord. We had a reservation and given how busy they were highly recommend having one. We have been to other locations and I'm starting to prefer this location over DC. The buffet had more options and we had no issues with the meat. When we first sat and got settled it was a bit quiet, but once one person stopped to offer us meat it never ended it was back to back endless and we were offered ever type of meat, which again I can't say that for the DC location. Highly recommend if looking to get out the city. read more

The place is really nice they have view of the harbor or you can be inside which have a good dim-sepia lighting. The seating tho is quite narrow or cramped, so when it's packed (like the last time we visited) it's hard to walk or move. The food was good, we did indulge churrasco experience which includes the salad bar, full churrasco and one seafood. The service that we experienced was so bad. We waited more than 30-40 minutes to get our order or option taken. We had experienced Fogo in Texas and it was nothing to compare with the service we experienced in National Harbor. I wish I can say the same thing like the other reviews but the woman server we had paid no attention at all. When we had our option taken the meat was kept on coming but the fries that she said for the kids and also the drinks we order it arrived almost at the end of our meal. We know it's busy but it's hard to miss when you only navigate around specific section. The experience can be better the food is good but the service wasn't what we expected. read more

I took my best friend to this Fogo de Chão location to celebrate his birthday, and unfortunately, our experience left me deeply disappointed. From the moment I made the reservation, I made it clear--both in the notes and in person--that we were celebrating a birthday and I wanted it to be acknowledged. I told the hostess, the wait staff, and every server who approached our table. Despite this, over the course of our two and a half hour visit, we were overlooked completely. Meanwhile, I watched as nearly a dozen other tables received celebratory birthday attention--singing, clapping, and all the fanfare. When my friend stepped away to use the restroom, I asked several staff members if he would be acknowledged as well. The responses were baffling. One person told me the staff was too busy--even as they continued to sing for other tables. Another claimed, "we don't do that at this restaurant," despite clear evidence to the contrary. And a third actually suggested that I try another restaurant if I wanted that kind of acknowledgment. Completely unacceptable. As for the food--it was okay, but certainly not the best Fogo experience I've had. The DC location is far better, but there was a serious lack of attention to detail here. The fried cheese was overcooked, some of the pão de queijo (cheese bread) was dry or overcooked, and we were repeatedly served fatty cuts of meat that were mostly inedible. Still, we did our best to enjoy the meal. However, the lack of basic hospitality took the shine off what was supposed to be a special night. I called the next day and spoke with the manager on duty, Jackson. That conversation only added to my disappointment. Rather than express any real concern or empathy, he denied hearing any birthday celebrations during our visit--even though they were happening around us all evening. He initially claimed that the restaurant staff don't sing Happy Birthday to guests--despite the fact that I saw them doing exactly that throughout the evening. Then he changed his story and said that if staff choose to acknowledge guest in that way, then it's entirely up to them. Throughout the call, he pressed me repeatedly to describe the staff members who made the comments, even after I explained that my focus was on celebrating my friend, not logging identifying details of servers. Instead of demonstrating empathy, his focus was clearly on punishing his staff. When I told him that the reason for my call was not to support him in disciplining the waitstaff, but rather understanding why my guest and his birthday celebration was treated so differently than others, he seemed dismissive. He did offer us a return visit on the house, but I ultimately declined. His tone, lack of accountability, and overall disinterest in the experience we had left me with no confidence that we'd be treated with the respect we deserve. There are plenty of restaurants at the National Harbor where staff and management are committed to excellent customer service from start to finish. This is NOT one of them. If the quality of your dining experience matters to you even half as much as the food, I stringly recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

Amazing! The best Brazilian Steakhouse that I have ever been too. This was my first time here and I was not disappointed. Wendi was amazing. Excellent service and communication. She was just a joy and made this experience wonderful. The food was delicious. The meats were tender and juicy. Even the grilled mozzarella was incredible. We sat in the patio area with an incredible view of the Chesapeake Harbor and famous ferris wheel! It was such a gorgeous day over memorial weekend. Just perfect. read more

I've given this location multiple chances--visiting about every other week due to nearby medical appointments and because my wife and I follow a protein-focused diet. Unfortunately, the biggest issue here is consistently poor service. From the moment we sit down, we clearly communicate that we're not using the food bar and want to proceed directly with the table-side meats. Despite that, it always takes an unreasonable amount of time just to receive the red/green cards so service can even begin. That delay happens every single visit. Even once we're ready, we're often left waiting with little to no attention. What's especially frustrating is that the floor managers only seem to step in after we're visibly trying to get someone's attention--literally looking around and "cracking our necks" to find help. Only then does the service suddenly improve, which shows the capability is there--it's just not consistent or proactive. On our most recent visit, the experience was even worse. The meat rotation was limited, with mostly overcooked options (medium-well to well done) and a heavy focus on basic white meats. We had to specifically request cuts like picanha and ribeye, and those took an additional 15-20 minutes to come out. By that point, we had already spent about 45 minutes waiting, our child was restless, and our patience was gone. For a $160-$220 meal after tip, it's unacceptable to spend most of the time waiting just to get the items you actually came for. We kept coming back hoping for a better experience, but this was our last visit. There are too many other options at National Harbor to deal with this level of inconsistency. read more

I visited this restaurant as part of a Wyndham weekend event with my sister who is a timeshare owner with them. The entire experience was a reminder for me to NEVER buy into any type of timeshare because once they have your money they will treat you like crap. The service was horrible and the waiters mainly catered to the Wyndham staff and not the people who actually paid to attend the event. The service maybe different if you are dining on your own but based on my one time experience at this location I would not return to this location. I have had great experiences at other fogo de chao locations so the restaurant chain overall is a good experience. But this location definitely needs to improve their level of customer service to all patrons. read more

We've been to this location a few times already and every time we are incredibly impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food. Adam and the manager were helpful and the food was exquisite. We will absolutely be back there soon. read more
