We stopped here ahead of the TPain concert to fill our bellies. We were seated rather quickly which is always a plus! Our first two entrees were the scallops and the short rib pasta. I say first two because we had to send them both back. The scallops had an awfully fishy smell and we didn't want to risk illness. The short rib pasta sauce was so watery and it was completely bland--so much so our waiter did add the dish doesn't normally look that way. So idk, the back of the house team today wasn't on their best! Our final two entrees were pizza and black spaghetti. He finished all the pasta, had no complaints. Went for dinner on a Saturday night, with 6pm reservations. Started with drinks at the bar while waiting for the table. I had a vodka soda and it was refreshing and strong. After moving to the table, ordered the meatballs as an appetizer. They came with bread, which was actually way better than the bread that was provided for the table. It was crispier and just overall delicious. Perfect for dipping into the sauce with the meatballs. The others at the table ordered the fig & burrata salad and calamari. For my main I had the short rib aka vodka pasta and omg this dish! It was AMAZING. So full of flavor, and very filling. Others had the lobster alla limone and the shrimp cavatelli. For dessert I ordered olive oil cake. Had never had a dessert with olive oil like that and I'm a fan. It was a decent size and quite good. The other order was tiramisu. Extremely disappointed with my experience at Osteria Costa. I came here on New Year's Eve with a medium size group of people before Big Night DC. To start, the restaurant wasn't super busy and they put us at a high top table. This struck us as especially weird since we made the reservation close to a month in advance. They were able to move our table and then they brought out the bread and took our order for apps. After they took our order for dinner, we sat around for an unreasonable amount of time before we had to ask the server where our dinner was because it was getting close to 10 and that's when the kitchen closes. The way he was asking what we all ordered made it seem like he completely forgot to put in the entrees. My boyfriend was sitting facing the kitchen and asked me "do you think those pizzas they're firing now are ours?" This was my first time here. We had a reservation for 1:00 pm on a Sunday. We were here to celebrate a birthday so we had about 20 people. They say us in the outer seating closest to the hostess stand. We were split up, but we all very close to each other. We all got the buffet which was I believe $45 + another fee for unlimited mimosas. The buffet selection is quite smaller than what I expected. I went to the omelette station. It was so good and flavorful and filling. They had bacon, sausage, shrimp n grits. Waffle machine. You have to make it yourself. The potatoes were so good and seasoned just right! I had a slice of pizza *chef's kiss* oh and they also have a make your own pasta station. The same guy that made my omelette made our pasta that was made with Alfredo and chicken with shrimp. Been here couple of times for dinner and Sunday buffet brunch. I've seen this restaurant at the Mirage but never dined there so happy it's in the MGM National Harbor. There are other Vegas transplants at the MGM National Harbor such as Bellagio Patisserie and Diablo Cantina. I like the Sunday brunch buffet. It's priced at $49 each plus an additional $12 for bottomless mimosas. I would stick with their made to order pasta and omelet's as well as their pizzas. Those were pretty good and tasty. Pizza has a great crust. They have a breakfast side with your usual scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and then their lunch side which had eggs in tomato sauce, shrimp, mussels and clams, various pizzas and salad station. Their dessert station was pretty decent. To save money, if you play the MyVegas slots apps, you can redeem your points for a BOGO free reward which I used today at brunch. I made a reservation a month before Easter and my birthday to at Osteria Costia. I was expecting a quiet dining experience, and to my surprise when I showed up to hear very, very, loud gospel entertainment. I don't have a problem with gospel music, however when it's so loud you cannot have a conversation without screaming, it's not a pleasant experience. Had I known the music would be this loud, I would not have made the reservation. It's too bad I had to leave, the food and service at this restaurant is outstanding. read more

We had reservations before a concert and unintentionally arrived about 30 minutes early. Surprisingly, they were able to seats us which kicked off a pleasant first time experience at Osteria Costa. Osteria Costa is the only restaurant I have not dined in the MGM and with mediocre experiences with the others, I had no expectations but hey... let try it. The gamble paid off!!!! The service was fantastic! The food was delicious. I request for my linguini and clams to be made with red sauce, the chef obliged. No judgment please, but I asked the server for sugar and add to the dish, it tamed the tartness which elevated the sauce (in my Southern opinion anyway). I tried a taste of the shrimp entree, not a fav but there were no complains from the other side of the table. Lastly, we tried the donut holes, they were made fresh but would opt out on the raspberry sauce next time. The menu is somewhat limited but that shouldn't deter anyone from giving this place a try. The courtyard seating is a great option. It gives the feeling of being outside with the opportunity to observe the MGM from a different perspective. read more

Came here for the Sunday brunch buffet, and was extremely disappointed. I expected way more options for the $48 price, so I was super underwhelmed when walking in and seeing the selection. It would also be nice if the bread/pastries/desserts were labeled as I had to guess which bread was what and guess what was in each pastry and I'm pretty sure one of the desserts had pistachio nuts, but looked like a green tea cake, which would have been bad to not be labeled for someone with tree nut allergies. I can't rave about anything I ate here, but I did enjoy the breakfast pizza, margherita pizza, the shrimp and one of the desserts. Truthfully, I would not have been able to tell the difference between this buffet and a continental breakfast buffet at the Holiday Inn, food quality wise. I love myself a buffet, but I only got up twice for food here, and one time for the dessert. At first I was excited to see the pasta station, but when I tried the pasta, it was way overboiled before hitting the pan when my ingredients were combined at the station. I got the alfredo sauce, and barely tasted it. All I know is that the texture of the rotini was so flacid, it was hard to even skewer it onto my fork without it falling apart. I am known as a huge noodlehead and love eating noodles and pasta, and I am low maintenance and can eat buttered noodles all day, but this pasta was inedible to me. Ambiance-wise, I liked the atmosphere as it wasn't too loud or too crowded around my table, and I loved the live musician playing radio hits on the electric violin. I wanted to take my mom, sister, and friends some place different and nice for Sunday brunch, so I made reservations at Osteria Costa for yesterday. This was a BIG MISTAKE. The brunch menu selections were very limited, no chicken, beef or fish items on the menu. The food was cold even though it was in sternos. The restaurant did not replenish the items. There was a jazz soloist providing entertainment and although she had a beautiful voice unfortunately, we were seated right next to the band setup, so the music was extremely loud which made it difficult to chat amongst ourselves. There are empty tables further inside the restaurant, but I was told this was for large parties (we were a party of 5) but yet couples and parties of 4 were everywhere. Finally, our server (Joel) was absolutely terrible, he seemed new and was completely disengaged with serving our table and all he really had to do was bring us condiments (ketchup and butter), removed the dirty plates and refill our water glasses which all appeared to be extremely difficult tasks for him to accomplish. I've never been served drinks for a table like this. My old fashion wasn't old.. I asked for extra cherries and they gave them to me along with all the cherry juice they scooped up. It was my first time at Osteria Costa and overall, it was a great experience! While walking around the MGM, my mom and I stumbled across this place and decided to dine here after seeing the menu. We didn't know this prior, but the restaurant was already booked for the night. We were lucky to be able to walk-in since someone canceled their reservation. We ordered the calamari fritti, linguine & clams, and picante pizza. The calamari fritti (~$18) was good and just as we expected. It was hot, salty, and crunchy, making it a nice appetizer to our meal. It also came with tartar sauce, marinara sauce, and a lemon wedge. The linguine & clam (~$24) was definitely our favorite and blew our expectations away!! The pasta was perfectly al-dente and the sauce was garlicky, seafood-y, and slightly tangy. The clams were naturally sweet and imparted that nice seafood flavor to the rest of the dish. Finally, the picante pizza (~$18) was our least favorite, mainly because it wasn't for our palates. It had salami, calabrian chiles, and too much honey, which made it too sweet for our tastes. If you like honey on pizza, you can give it a try -- Although, I do wish the pizza's crust was crunchier because the bottom was pretty wet. I recommend visiting Osteria Costa if you're looking for solid Italian food around National Harbor. We decided to come back to try out their Sunday Bottomless Brunch and it did not disappoint. The buffet had a counter station to make your own waffles, or where you can get custom made omelettes or pastas. There were a ton of ingredient choices. There is also the buffet in the back that had eggs, bacon, sausage, bread pudding, clams, mussels, shrimp, salads, pastries. The list goes on there was so much to choose from, and they were constantly rolling out fresh food and never did I see the various buffet sections be empty. The food was very flavorful and even though it was a buffet nothing felt stale it was very fresh. The brunch is $49 and if you opt to have the bottomless drinks that is an additional $12. For the amount of food and the great service this is worth the price, and the price is lower compared to other DMV spots that offer similar services. Brunch Review - Underwhelmed for the price. I challenge anyone to name another $50 brunch where non alcoholic drinks are not included, which strangely is the case here. Our server said that even coffee was not included. We ordered coffee and without exaggeration, it took 20 minutes for us to be served and we were well through our meal. The staff did not keep replenish the dishes timely, and several times we saw only one of the item remaining. They had a toaster, but it was a half hour into the brunch when someone finally brough out the bread for the toaster. Another odd thing, as others had mentioned, none of the food was labelled, which in some cases would have been helpful. I did like that you could make your own waffles.
