I come here frequently whenever I'm at MGM casino--probably the best restaurant in here, and they are open late, which is a huge benefit when hungry at night. Service is pretty good too. Overall, the food is good, not the best out there, but it's consistently good! For soups, Hot & Sour Soup, Oxtail Soup, Wonton Noodle Soup, Minced Beef Congee or Pork & Century Egg Congee are my top favorites. For entrees, highly recommend House-Style Diced Beef, Ginger & Scallion House-Style Lobster, Honey Walnut Prawns, Crispy & Spicy Pork Chops, Peking Roasted Duck, and Soft-Shell Crab Fried Rice. Obviously since the restaurant is located in a casino, the prices here are indeed overpriced--but you are able to use your MGM comps! Just be prepared to spend here. read more

Ginger is located in MGM casino and is one of plethora of dining options. More casual than fine dining and the wait time was short. We came before the dinner rush on a weekday and the casino's garage parking was easy. In cantonese fashion, the dishes were delicious. The menu is extensive and the service was friendly. Salt and pepper pork chop was incredibly crisp and seasoned well. I love the added crispy jalapeños and side of chilies. The garlic snow pea shoots is my personal favorite and I could've eaten that alone. Not pictured is chicken and salty fish fried rice to take home. It was loaded with chicken, very pungent, and filling. There's no doubt this place can get busy as it picked up toward the end of my visit. Consider especially during conference season (nearby Gaylord Resort) and holiday months as the lobby is decorated elaborately. Definitely plan your visit! read more

I requested a seat by the flowers instead of in the center of the dining hall, to our surprise the Asian waitress went to grab someone to seat us we thought because she didn't understand my request in English. Out came a black lady who didn't wear a smile or any welcome so we were taken aback from the drastic change in energy. Once she seated us and left our new waitress Song was THE SWEETEST. She wore a big hairstyle that gave the appeal of an Asian actress in a 70's Chinese/Korean drama. We loved her and she loved us. Later, she shared that the black lady was the manager which was nice to know...good for her it must not be easy. She wore a smile when she came back to visit our table. Despite there being so many people, she was able to offer great service. My boyfriend and I had reviewed the menu before we came so knew what we wanted to order. The menu online doesn't list their prices, so we were a bit surprised when we saw the menu prices listed. It's definitely a bit pricey. For example, some of the rice dishes run between $30-$50. Granted, it is enough for two or more people, so I guess you get your money's worth. I ordered the Tawainese braised noodle soup with the spring rolls as an appetizer. My boyfriend had the General Tso Shrimp with steamed broccoli on the side. He really enjoyed his food, but I thought my meal was alright. To begin, the presentation was very nice, but there was no taste, spice or seasoning. I had to ask for a side of chili oil just to doctor the dish up, and that helped a lot, but I was disappointed in the overall lack of flavor. The interior, though, is very nice and spacious. The ambience was great for the location because it is inside of a casino so it's lively and you get to see the amazing Decor that MGM switches out regularly. I'm so mad that I'm just trying Ginger out. I went for lunch on the Friday before Labor Day and was pleasantly surprised. I'm guessing because it was lunch, it wasn't too crowded nor was it loud. I was told I couldn't have that booth because the person with a reservation after mine wants that booth. On the reservation site, there is no option to reserve booth vs table, so this was confusing. We were then sat on the other side of the restaurant. We waited for over 20 minutes to be greeted. We asked a random server if someone could assist us and someone told her to do it. She claimed she didn't know she was our server. Upon asking about various menu items, she told us the food is standard Chinese food. I wasn't sure what that meant, so I just ordered beef and broccoli. The food was decent but the service is terrible. I would not recommend Ginger based on my experience. read more

The mixed veggies came out with no Chinese broccoli and the cooks response when we sent it back was "we stopped putting Chinese broccoli in the mixed veggies". Unbeknownst to them it says it still includes it on the menu. They need to figure that out. Other than that Lin was a good server. I'd go back if I had free rewards to use at MGM. read more

This was our first time going here this past Saturday night before going to a concert. We had reservations and was seated upon arrival. Our server was either super busy or slow because we waited a while before being helped. At one point we had to a manager to get her for us. The food was okay. We were seated immediately and saw they had a fairly wide menu, with choices spanning multiple ethnicities. I think the prices were a little high but do understand it's the price you pay for eating in a major casino (yes, pun intended). Flavors were decent but not completely authentic in my opinion. My wife, son, and I ate family style, opting for the sichuan crispy spicy beef (probably the best of the three dishes we ordered but definitely not spicy), Singapore curry noodles (next best, but I've had much better), and Thai basil fried rice (definitely low end I think, and no spice at all). Bottom line, ok if you're there, but I'm not convinced it's worth driving there just for a meal. read more

Instead we felt rushed from the moment we came in (6pm on a Wed) to order, to eat, and to get out. All the dishes tasted like they had forgotten salt or seasoning of any kind and it took 10 min for the waiter to come around again and ask for some at the table. The beef and vegetables I ordered had maybe 4 pieces of pepper and 4 pieces of onion, for a very large serving. Once we ordered our food, it came out in about 7 minutes! I couldn't believe it. I was told that was normal. The sweet-and-sour chicken was a little too sour. Took 15 minutes just for the server to greet us. We saw her once more during our dinner. She asked how the food was. Had to request for our server to return for our check. Can't place the name of it but it looked delicious. If you order an entree that comes with rice, you receive a big bowl to share but don't worry they will offer more if need be.
