    Hibachi Grill Special
    Glenn G.

Clean, looked fresh (except for the sushi). I mostly ate the hibachi. Was good but a little oily due to whatever cook was using. There are better, similar buffets, and plenty of worse ones. Nearly twenty bucks though for 1 dinner buffet and 1 fountain soda. The paper cups and plastic utensils are a bit off putting too.

I know the pandemic has affected the buffet industry hard, but this was a disappointment. I have came here before the pandemic and it was good. Now, it's different. The coconut shrimp barely had any sauce, making it mostly just fried shrimp. Selections were limited and not that good. Chicken would be overcooked and many selections were bland or just not worth eating. I do not understand why cups are disposable since it is cheaper to rewash. Maybe it is for less labor with the limited employees. The "tissues" were rough as paper towels, even more rougher.

Went to Flaming Grill for a night of dinner with my family and my daughter found a dead roach in her cup. Will never go back to this buffet again!!

Black mold/dirt on the bottom of the drink pitcher.

Pre-pandemic, this was my family's favorite buffet. We live over an hour away and we would still drive there once a month. However, today's experience was simply disgusting and disappointing. With COVID still raging on, I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. They shut down their salad, fruit and dessert bar completely. Only the prepackaged ice cream is available. They also shut down a few hot lines. Extremely limited offerings. Now I understand, they have to cut costs due to the pandemic. But taking away so many choices is horrible. There is NO REASON you should have to pay full price, when the buffet is only 1/3 open. I wish I could say it was still worth it, but it wasn't. The waitress was extremely inattentive, despite very few people there. But the WORST thing is the lack of cleanliness. There is no reason, pandemic or no pandemic, not to wash drink pitchers. I am horrified that my children and myself drank out of this. There's just no excuse.

The size is helpful once you understand it. But pulling in for the first time had that "where exactly am I supposed to go" moment. A few more mental breadcrumbs would help. We were in Annandale, VA and I realized MGM wasn't too far away. Dad loves gambling, so I decided to take him here. He could play slots while I hung out at the Sportsbook. Drinks there were as expected. I got a Jameson for $13 and I believe a Glenfiddich 12 or something similar for $16. No tax on both drinks. I easily found a seat a plush seat and spent a good 3+ hours here. Afterwards, I decided to try my luck at the tables. Found a blackjack table. I believe the min was $15? I started by playing obe hand and almost lost it all. Decided to start playing two and almost won a good amount back. I did order a diet coke when here, but it never came. Since we all only had one meal that day, we hit up the only open place - Bread + Butter. Not much selection and a pretty far walk from the casino. Kinda wished they had better selections for late night dining. Nice place to watch the game. Glad we stopped by. REVIEW #3888

We went for lunch and was quickly seated, but plan enough time to enjoy your meal. Our group ordered the Full Churrasco that came with the "salad" bar, which included various cheeses, fruits, greens, and other items that were all very fresh. The meats were all excellent, with the ones that stood out to me being the bottom sirloin, lamb, and sausage. Perhaps our only minor complaint would have been the slowness of new meat arrivals in the middle of our meal. The beverages were also spot on, with our group having soda, wine, and a cocktail. Would I return here again? Yes, but you are paying for the experience and quality.

Unfortunately, the biggest issue here is consistently poor service. From the moment we sit down, we clearly communicate that we're not using the food bar and want to proceed directly with the table-side meats. Despite that, it always takes an unreasonable amount of time just to receive the red/green cards so service can even begin. That delay happens every single visit. Even once we're ready, we're often left waiting with little to no attention. What's especially frustrating is that the floor managers only seem to step in after we're visibly trying to get someone's attention--literally looking around and "cracking our necks" to find help. Only then does the service suddenly improve, which shows the capability is there--it's just not consistent or proactive. On our most recent visit, the experience was even worse. The meat rotation was limited, with mostly overcooked options (medium-well to well done) and a heavy focus on basic white meats. We had to specifically request cuts like picanha and ribeye, and those took an additional 15-20 minutes to come out. By that point, we had already spent about 45 minutes waiting, our child was restless, and our patience was gone. For a $160-$220 meal after tip, it's unacceptable to spend most of the time waiting just to get the items you actually came for. We kept coming back hoping for a better experience, but this was our last visit. There are too many other options at National Harbor to deal with this level of inconsistency.

For appetizers, I ordered the fried oyster deviled eggs, and wow... they were so good. The little fried oysters on top of the deviled eggs were such a perfect combination. Crispy, creamy, flavorful -- definitely something I would order again without hesitation. For my entrée, I had the whole grilled branzino served over a green bean and fennel salad, and let me tell you... this was hands down one of the best branzinos I've ever had. The fish was seasoned perfectly and cooked beautifully. And that green bean and fennel salad underneath? So much better than I expected. I actually considered swapping it out, and I'm so glad I didn't because it completed the dish perfectly. Every bite was delicious. I also had a cocktail called the Endless Summer -- a tequila drink with this amazing foam on top -- and it was excellent. I asked the bartender for a recommendation, and she absolutely delivered. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. I went by myself, sat at the bar, and genuinely enjoyed every minute of it. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, and just an overall really enjoyable experience. I will definitely be back, and I absolutely recommend checking it out if you're at the Harbor.

Parking is ALWAYS a challenge every time that I've come. Once you walk inside you realize, this is NOT the same ole Fish Market. Talk about a total gut job. Formally, the restaurant was a traditional sit down neighborhood spot. Now, it has totally transformed into a sports bar with TV's all over the place. Fish Market has in my opinion the largest bar in the DMV. It is humongous! I applaud them for knowing where the money is and that's the bar! They also have a nice number of pub tables throughout, so as far as flow goes, I like this flow better than the former Fish Market. The menu has totally changed. I must say, I liked the old one better because it was a traditional seafood restaurant with all of your favorites. Now, its wings, pizza, fried fish and a couple entrees like salmon and shrimp pasta. All and all, it's a great spot if you want a strong drink at a decent price and even though it's mostly bar food, it's pretty damn good, especially the seafood pizza... Hittin!!
