The most disturbing and disgusting food I have ever tasted. I had to throw it all away. I don't know what is in the lobster salad; but it's not lobster. The chicken fried rice has diced boiled ( some kind of white ?) meat in it? I don't know what it was: it was not edible either. Last I ordered chicken teriyaki and the chicken was bright red. The food was a little hit-and-miss for me. The black pepper chicken was a big hit. While it was much more sweet than pepper, it had a very nice flavor and made we want to go back for more. On the miss side, the kung pao chicken was odd. This is my favorite Chinese dish, and this was quite different in flavor than any I have tried (and not in a "good" different kind of way). There was also a periodic flavor that made me pause, sniff the food, and wonder if it was a bit on the bad side. I couldn't finish even half a bowl of it, and that's frustrating. The hunan chicken, while resembling chicken and broccoli given how much broccoli and how little carrots were in the dish, also had a nice flavor that made it a pleasurable meal. Lastly, on the miss side, for 3 dishes I got 3 small sides of rice. This was not nearly enough rice for 3 meals. The small side is enough for a serving of food, but when the container can be easily split into 2 filling servings, one baby rice container is insufficient. Rice isn't nearly the most expensive cost that goes into a meal so please be a tad for generous! Mostly good food with a huge ovation for the black pepper chicken, an approving head nod for the hunan chicken, and a significant thumbs down for the kung pao and rice portion. read more

The ambiance is kinda divey. Not like filthy, but like hella outdated. The music is... weird and random af... I don't drink so I can't comment on the bar and I don't do public restrooms so idk if they even have one. I assume they do. BUT! The staff is nice and quick and on top of things. And the HOTEL CALIFORNIA ROLL is SOOOO FRIGGIN GOOOOD!!!! The veggie egg rolls are also bangin, as the kids say lol. If this restaurant had a refacing/redecorating/ NEW booths without raising prices, it could be hella big time and likely do a lot more business. We came here on a Saturday for lunch specials. This was my first time trying this establishment and I was very pleased. We got a few lunch specials to try and the portions were great. I'm curious to know if these portions will be the same if you order to go. We got two general tso chickens with fried rice (one mild and one spicy), a shrimp lo mein and chicken chow mein (I believe that's what it's called). We also got two drinks which were very strong. All in all, this was a nice outing that was inexpensive and left us with more than enough food to take home. Our food came out piping hot and the owners were very attentive to us. This is a small mom and pops spot that is very causal but they do have a party room. My only complaint was there was a fly so I was constantly swatting to ensure it didn't land on my food. read more

I decided to try their lunch buffet as it was advertised as $6.95. Walking in there is the register, bar, and sushi bar. The next room has tables and three buffet bars. The next room is tables and bathrooms. The buffet is bigger than others in southern Maryland. They have the usual kung pao chicken, sweet and sour chicken, black pepper chicken, beef and broccoli, green beans, etc. They also have pineapple chicken which wasn't too bad, chinese donuts, three main soups, spring rolls and egg rolls, and ice cream. There is a lot to choose from. I wasn't too excited about everything being drowned in some kind of sauce, especially the green beans. Overall the food was good for the price, especially the soup. It's been more than a decade since he's been there last, but it was great to see that the food quality and offering was exactly the same! The only changes were an addition of a sushi menu and an expansion of their space into the next unit! This local Chinese joint has been around since the early '90s, and it's a family-owned restaurant. Their menu seems extensive, including various soup, chef specialties, seafood/pork/beef/poultry/veggie entrees, wings, noodles, fried rice, chow mein, egg foo young, lunch combos and platters, and a daily lunch buffet. We came here to check out their lunch buffet, and I was pleasantly surprised! I'm not a fan of Chinese food in general, and even more so with Chinese buffets. However, the restaurant was very clean, well set-up, and the offering of the food was of a variety, super fresh, and very tasty & flavorful! My favorites included the General Tso's chicken (the right amount of sweet and savory), the lo mein (great with some drizzle of soy sauce, available at every table), black pepper chicken, and the string beans (loved the amount of garlic in here). Other items on the buffet included hot & sour soup, sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls, beef spring rolls, Kung Pao chicken, beef and broccoli, tofu, chicken wings, fried shrimp, fried scallops, etc. I was pretty shocked that I enjoyed my meal, and even the hubs was speechless AHAHA Dishes were taken away promptly, and our beverages were refilled often. Also, at least in the lunch special, you get a lot of food for the price. However, if you like your spicy food extra spicy, I think you have to ask for it.
