We used to come here quite often when we lived in Waldorf. We don't live there anymore and I truly miss it because the food is amazing. It's a good price and it all seems very real and wholesome ingredients. I like the Singapore noodles and the general tso chicken . Their drinks are really good too. You won't really get a buzz or anything, but they're tasty. I definitely recommend checking them out. The service is nice. Everyone is very attentive and the ambience is absolutely adorable. It's very themed and very elegant.

Great food, great service, and great space. Lots of choices on the menu, loved pu pu platters, reminded me of early days when I would order. Restaurant nicely decorated and comfortable clean space. I would go again.

6 cran wontons with sweet n sour sauce

We heard we should try this place from a few people and its always busy. Solid 3 here. Got 2x general tso chicken with fried rice and egg rolls. We tried the crab rangoons but the pastry on the outside was really really flakey. Not our favorite. The fried rice just was tasting of soy sauce, no real flavor besides that. The chicken was actually cooked perfectly for the entree. It had a great amount of sauce. Our chicken was not overcooked. It was phenomenal if we just got it a la carte. The fried egg rolls were bland too. Unfortunately we did just get over being sick, but we could taste everything. We want to try this place out again! Hopefully, we can get back there soon and give an update. Jake n kev

Shrimp Fried Rice

The best Singapore noodles in Chuck county can be found at Szechuan Garden. Thin rice noodles, beautifully stir-fried, had just the right level of curry spice. The mix of shrimp, chicken, and pork was perfectly cooked, and the vegetables (bell peppers, onions, and bean sprouts) brought a nice variety in taste and texture. The dish had a perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness, making each bite more enjoyable than the last. Shrimp fried rice was perfect. It gives you the authentic Chinese flavor. Customer service here is always wonderful as I've been here multiple times. Your food comes out extremely quick and hot. #EatGoodAndBeHappy

Good tea for the famous chef Thomas
Famous C.

When Famous Chef Thomas dines, he doesn't chase glitz--he seeks soul. And on a quiet afternoon in Waldorf, Maryland, he found himself at Szechuan Garden, sampling a modest duo: egg drop soup and chicken with mixed vegetables. The egg drop soup made its entrance steaming, golden, and seemingly confident. But Famous Chef Thomas quickly noticed it leaned a little too heavy on the starch--more curtain than curtain call. The egg was well-formed, dancing through the broth in silky ribbons, but the flavor? A bit shy. A bolder hand with white pepper or a glimmer of sesame oil could've turned it into a memory. As it stands, it was warm, polite, and forgettable. The chicken with mixed vegetables, however, stepped up with more promise. The chicken was tender, respectfully cooked, and the vegetables--carrot, broccoli, snow pea--retained just enough crunch to show they hadn't surrendered entirely to the wok. The sauce, though, whispered when it should have spoken. It was glossy, neutral, and safe. "Too safe," thought Famous Chef Thomas. A splash of chili oil, a flirtation with ma la spice, and this dish could have earned applause. Service? Quick. Courteous. Not the kind of interaction Famous Chef Thomas will write a memoir about, but appreciated nonetheless. Final thoughts: Szechuan Garden may not court fame, but it delivers a steady hand. For a midweek bite, it's comfort food with manners. Famous Chef Thomas awards it three and a half stars, and a quiet challenge: next time, bring the fire.

I know they had some problems but when I tell you it is 100% fixed, I mean it. The food was hot and fresh and the staff was so happy to see us. We had the WonTon soup, shrimp fried rice, and chicken lo mein. Please give them another try. After 25 plus years of serving the community, they deserve a chance to earn your loyalty back.

They also have a bar with $5 specials all day, every day--which is a huge plus. The staff are always incredibly friendly and attentive, providing prompt service that makes the experience even better. If you're not in the mood for sushi, the ramen is a must-try--rich, flavorful, and satisfying. The wings also stand out with a very authentic taste that you don't find just anywhere. Overall, this spot is a hidden gem with great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

Against my better judgment, i shouldn't have ordered the Hawaii Roll -- the mango inside the roll gave me a bit of pause with consistency issue. Additionally, the rice on the sushi seemed gelatinous, like it was cooked too long. I didn't like it. The Tempura Roll was your standard fare. Lastly, while I love sashimi, the tuna offered with the chef's sampler was just ok. The star was the salmon -- buttery and smooth. Service was fine. We sat at the bar. Again, I wouldn't visit again, but try it for yourself. Cheers!

The tables are spacious enough to comfortably fit large groups (I've seen families of 8!), and there's plenty of room to spread out and enjoy everything. Ordering is super convenient with the self-serve tablet, making it easy to keep the food coming. One of the best parts is the variety--you can choose from hotpot, or go all in with hotpot, sushi, and BBQ. I've tried all three, and they do not disappoint! The selection feels endless, which makes every visit exciting. I especially love that you get to cook your own food, even the BBQ. That's a big plus since many Korean BBQ spots cook it for you. It makes the experience more interactive and fun. The soup bases are flavorful and really elevate the whole meal. And now they've started serving alcoholic beverages too, which is a great addition! However the service is absolutely terrible and only declining. Pace yourself when you're drinking whatever drink you ordered because the chance of you catching your waiter to get another one will be almost non existent. Mostly teenagers are employed here which is good for the work experience but they are too busy on their cell phones to check on their tables. Even when the restaurant is empty you will still not receive service. You will watch your waiter pacing back and forth on their phone longer than you will spend drinking your water/soda. I used to come here once a week but the service has deterred me so much that at most I come once a month and each time I come it's getting worse and worse. I've had to pull the manager up on shift one time to ask for a simple refill because my waiter was too busy on the phone. I'm usually a great tipper, 25% or more, here I simply give 18% because most visits I sit for 30+ minutes with nothing to drink and zero way besides walking up to the waiter to get their attention since their phones are so close to their face it's touching their noses. I won't even come for dinner anymore because the price is not worth their service.
