Wouldn't go back. It's your average sushi spot. We ordered the chef's sampler sashimi along with the Hawaii Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll (the name is escaping me). Against my better judgment, i shouldn't have ordered the Hawaii Roll -- the mango inside the roll gave me a bit of pause with consistency issue. Additionally, the rice on the sushi seemed gelatinous, like it was cooked too long. I didn't like it. The Tempura Roll was your standard fare. Lastly, while I love sashimi, the tuna offered with the chef's sampler was just ok. The star was the salmon -- buttery and smooth. Service was fine. We sat at the bar. We stopped by Kobe Bar & Grill for sushi and it quickly became one of my top two favorite sushi spots in the area. The selection is solid, and everything we've tried has been consistently fresh and delicious. Service is usually quick, but if you happen to come during a busy time, it can be a bit challenging to flag down a server. That's the one weak spot, the service can be hit or miss depending on how crowded it is. My suggestion: know what you want and order everything at once, just in case it becomes difficult to get someone's attention later. There's also plenty of parking, which is a nice bonus and makes it an easy place to swing by on a whim. Overall, a great place to visit so long as it's not slammed. read more

Service was slow but they were packed so it was warranted. They could definitely use one more waitress/waiter. Ambiance is super casual! Come dressed regular, no need to dress up. Let's Get Into It! Another great experience! It's our wedding anniversary and we came in for our favorite, sushi and the wings of course! Great service The food comes so fast There were several people here today. Military discount: no Ramen was good but the pork was not edible. It's very tough and I how they switch over to a different cut of meat. When I ask what cut it was they said some part of the shoulder. Sushi was decent. read more

This is hands down my favorite spot for sushi in the area. I always go for the Kobe roll--it's a solid 10/10 and definitely the best roll on the menu. Great service! I have not been here before. On a Thursday night, it was a full crowd with all kinds of patrons of all ages. The bartender greeted us and immediately sat us and ordered our drinks. He's pretty heavy handed, which is great :) The waitress was friendly and accommodating. I just came for some miso soup, a little bit of sushi (Maryland roll) and drinks (Hennessy side car) and both selections were amazing. For sushi I decided to go with the spicy crab roll and the 2 in 1 roll that was Shrimp tempura & avocado inside, topped with spicy tuna & spicy salmon (can you say yum)! It was a good sized serving and very well presented. I had a dinner bento box. I just like to eat out of a portioned tray - just like grade school, but not bad for portion control. I had the shrimp bento box and the shrimp was well sautéd with a nice broccoli and onion veg mix. The bento also came with a nice miso soup. The decor is pretty good and there is a decent bar and decent vibe. The restaurant was also quite busy on a Tuesday night, so it must be popular with the local dining crowd. Both of my rolls were pretty tasty. They could've been a little more crispy, but the were still good. My only down side was pricing. When ordering over the phone I go by the online menu. The price was different in person, and the guy that took my order over the phone didn't give me my total. It was a $6 dollar difference. Not too bad, just unexpected. Overall, I would recommend. I've always wanted to try Kobe's especially after reading so many great reviews. We went on Friday night at 8pm. It was understandable that they were busy so we placed our name on the wait list. We were told we would get a call within 20 minutes. We sat in the parking lot and watched as other people pulled up, went inside, and were seated ahead of us. They clearly were not paying attention to the wait list. I went inside to see why we were being passed over and we were seated immediately. I would recommend they improve on their organizational skills. I ordered the shrimp ramen (spicy). It was pretty good, plenty of broth, noodles, and shrimp. Ordered take out, I ordered the chicken gyoza, hibachi shrimp and my husband ordered the Godzilla roll and sex on the beach roll. Mothers food was really good! My husband really enjoyed his sushi. I found my food to be good, however the shrimp was kinda salty.Also, I found the portion of my hibachi to be kinda small compared to the portions you receive at other hibachi spots.
