Great Holiday drinks!
Monique S.

First of all, the customer service at this establishment is impeccably top notch. TK is also an amazing mixologist. We came here to celebrate Hubby's Bday and Copper Compass DID NOT disappoint. The drinks were amazing. The service was amazing. And, they allow you to bring in outside food. Follow them on Social Media for events that they host! We will absolutely be coming back to this Distillary! Keep up the great work Copper Compass!

Superb experience! I long to return and support this beautiful, black-owned business. Our host was knowledgeable, humorous and a delight to listen to (and look at). Unfortunately, the Little Miner Taco food truck that was scheduled to be there during our visit cancelled. Nevertheless, we had a good time. The rum is smooth, potent and tasty, a quality product. Our mixologist was so cool. She made me a custom cocktail that was my favorite color. It was infinitely "instagrammable"! I will definitely be back with a group to join me.

Rum Old Fashioned

My friend and I came here this weekend and I'm glad we did. It's a Rum distillery located in a strip mall, which I think is awesome. There was plenty of parking available and there is a decent amount of seating inside. The bartender and owner were great, as were the other patrons here. We had some cocktails on the menu such as the Rum Old Fashioned but also ordered drinks off the menu which I enjoyed even more. If you're a Rum lover this place is definitely worth a visit.

Found a black owned Rum distillery in white plains Md, we did a taste test and enjoyed the comraderie of the owner and staff. This establishment is clean nicely decorated and perfect to begin collecting rum. We sampled lemon, coconut and whiskey rum - all strong and tasty so of course we left with a couple of bottles. You can bring food into the distillery and be on the lookout for events. May be able to catch a groupon for the tour, either way well worth my way to spend a lazy Sunday!

I didn't get a chance to take more pictures but I did get to capture this lovely customize lemon drop. The bartender put her own spin to it. I will definitely go back for the drinks and the atmosphere. They made you feel like part of their family. The Rum Punch special was good too.

My first time here, and me and my friend had a good time. Service was great. Bartender was cool. Music was A+. Even the other patrons were nice. Great ambiance. We also enjoyed how our food from the truck outside paired with our drinks. We are definitely planning to come back with our other people soon!

What a great time.

Wow!!! What an amazing experience. T.K. is unbelievable. She has some great creations. Our first time and we love this place. We love T.K. even more. If you want a great experience and some great drinks, come on over to Copper Compass in White Plains and ask for T.K.

The Lemon Drop

My husband and I met some friends here last night and had a great time! It's off the beaten path but a cool casual spot to enjoy a few drinks. Patrons ranged in age from the 30's to 60's. A brown n sexy vibe. The Co owner Herb made sure we were taken care of and the bartender was cordial and fast. We tried the strawberry daiquiri, Copper Compass mule, mojitos and mai tais. All good but our favorite was the Lemon Drop! They don't serve food but a food truck was outside and you can bring the food inside. We will be back!

Brand new place only been open for about a month. They make rum here. The coconut rum is a winner. The lady (TK) behind the bar was very good and when I needed something adjusted for my preferred flavor profile, she was able to make my drink perfect on no time flat. We were able to be toured by the owner Herb and he was impressive with his friendliness and openness. There is room for him to expand and I'm looking forward to the good things in the future.

Overall, we had a generally good experience, but admittedly there were a few things that kept it from being a great one. For me, the biggest issue was the very start of the visit. It wasn't clear whether guests were supposed to seat themselves or wait to be seated. I hate standing around aimlessly and looking lost while we figure out what protocol is. We eventually sat down but then went quite a while without a server, which made for an awkward first impression. Once someone did help us, however, the service was very friendly and welcoming. The young lady was truly helpful and friendly but also very busy. The drinks were very good, but I wish the menu did a better job describing them. Many of the listings focus on the alcohol being used, which is great if you're already familiar with those spirits. I enjoy having new drinks but I was not familiar with these, so for those of us trying to decide what something will actually taste like, a little more detail would go a long way. We also tried the bourbon flight, which was fun and gave us the opportunity to sample several different bourbons. That said, the price was incredibly high. I enjoy tastings and flights when I visit new places, but at that cost it's difficult to justify doing again. As far as the food goes, the highlights were definitely the flatbreads and wings. Both were delicious and easily the standout items we tried. Their food is 100% worth trying. I wish we could have eaten more but we simply couldn't! To us, The RAD House had a friendly atmosphere, good drinks, and excellent food. While it may not be quite my scene, I think it's worth a visit and we may return just to try more of their delicious food. I still miss the little fish market but I'm glad a good establishment took its place!

If you're not in the mood for sushi, the ramen is a must-try--rich, flavorful, and satisfying. The wings also stand out with a very authentic taste that you don't find just anywhere. Overall, this spot is a hidden gem with great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

Against my better judgment, i shouldn't have ordered the Hawaii Roll -- the mango inside the roll gave me a bit of pause with consistency issue. Additionally, the rice on the sushi seemed gelatinous, like it was cooked too long. I didn't like it. The Tempura Roll was your standard fare. Lastly, while I love sashimi, the tuna offered with the chef's sampler was just ok. The star was the salmon -- buttery and smooth. Service was fine. We sat at the bar. Again, I wouldn't visit again, but try it for yourself. Cheers!

The space itself is huge and they do a lot of hosting for bands which I'm sure is a good time. The bar is a wrap around seating at least 20-30 and at the time of our arrival the bar was full and the main seating area only had one occupied table. The inside is lowly lit and the music was great, definitely a vibe in there and I can understand how despite their reviews they have a solid patron base. We ordered: Strawberry Lemon Drop - 10/10 no notes Calamari - 8/10 - great texture but a small portion at that price point. I prefer mine with a remoulade and they only serve it with sweet chili sauce. They had remoulade with the catfish nuggets but when I asked the waitress she said remoulade was the salad. When I tried to explain that no it was a sauce she just said they didn't have it......ok. Deviled eggs with crab - 8/10 - they were ok. The eggs were a little overcooked to my liking but they were horrible. Wings - 10/10 - sweet and spicy, great crunch. Crabbed stuffed salmon - 6/10 - came with two sides and he got rice and spinach. It was just ok but at $42 you wanted it to wow you. There is an automatic 18% gratuity regardless your party size so that's something to look out for. Overall it was a bit overpriced to my liking for a location that's not more like a local bar than anything. I would definitely come back for more wings and Backyard but might opt for the bar instead.
