Average food and bar service in captive Gaylord hotel environment. I'm shocked at the limited dining options in the hotel. Especially when corporate events shut down other options. This mega overpriced steakhouse just doesn't cut it. Both times I ate at the bar I was offered bread with my meal but none ever arrived nor was it acknowledged.

Beautiful steakhouse in the lobby of Gaylord, truly a testament to elite hotels. As expected the prices were beyond what my little mind could fathom. My wife and I split the seafood tower, we got the grand so we could enjoy lobster; and my kid got fried and Mac and cheese. He liked his food, not loved it. And we ate our food, I wouldn't say enjoyed it. Cold seafood lacks flavor, so it's up to hot sauce, butter, cocktail sauce, and all the other extras they give to step up the flavor. The seafood was fresh no doubt and the portion substantial but definitely a 40% markup on what was provided. Our waiter was beyond involved, very kind and attentive, checked on us what seemed like twice a minute. Maybe the steak is where it's at but I'll skip my chances in the future.

This is a mix of a two meal experience .. both unique. First dinner. We started with bread and salads. The usual. Then we moved to crab cakes ... amazing. So much crab with very little filling. The meal was family style for us .. salmon, chicken, asparagus, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The chicken was super tasty .. loved the spices. The Mac and cheese was cooked perfectly.. creamy in the middle with a crispy crust on top..the asparagus was cooked al dente (or perfect). Enjoyed the dinner!! The lunch was not so successful. The hamburger bun fell apart, and the hamburger itself was not seasoned well. The French fries were 75% of the $30 plate. Lunch, I did not enjoy. The service was excellent at both meals. The restaurant is well decorated .. loved the bar! The location is loud though. People talking reverbs throughout the space.

Met an ex-coworker here who was attending a conference. I had had pot roast the night before and was having a steak dinner the next night, so I opted for fish. I know, I know, it's crazy to order fish in a steak restaurant. But I have no regrets! Bread came out warm with a creative salted whipped butter. So yummy! First I started with the kale salad and it was excellent. Light and healthy and the perfect starter. The Ora King salmon with sauce on side was also excellent although not crazy about the mussels. Loved the rice.

Service was really slow until hubby complained. As others have said, the menu is overpriced. I made my own meal and two out of three (scallops and creamed spinach) were good. The Mac and cheese was burnt on top. The ice cream was better than the lava cake. The restaurant itself and views are lovely! The to-go bag is top tier. They acknowledged my birthday and that's always a nice touch.

For the prices at this place, you'd expect the food to be exceptional. In my opinion, it was just decent; I definitely think it could be better for the cost. On a positive note, our waiter was very kind and attentive. I ordered the Ora King Salmon, which I found to be pretty good (rate: 7/10).

Probably one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to at these prices with the worst service. I thought maybe it was only me but my bar mate geeked me up for this one. Took 15 mins to get a drink with a mostly empty bar rail, I ordered food along with the women next to me also by her self I got the skirt steak with sub truffle potatoes vs fries. They brought the fries took it back then came back to the bar rail and scraped the fries off in to the bar rail and said she didn't want to waste the steak and it would be another 10 mins. Then continued to wipe the plate off with a random napkin she found on the bar rail. The gentleman that brought the women's food out was rubbing his hands everywhere didn't wash and then handed her her food.I was completely done eating along with the woman next to me with the single crab cake that smelled pretty rough i believe they refunded her crab cake. All we could do was laugh at those point as far as the price point goes, in all of my years i haven't had service this terrible at this price point ever and the staff is just laughing and messing around behind the bar. Dont waste your money.

Standard classic Gaylord old hickory ambience. Friendly service at the bar. Crab soup was tasty and filling. Crab cake (highly recommended by the bartender) was filled w crab and very little filler which is the way a crab cake should be!

    Cranberry and grey goose.

Excellent drinks and atmosphere. Pleasant bartender and great spot to relax and unwind after walking along the harbor. Would love to have dinner there someday!

Had some wine and food at the bar. Everything was very good. The server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Seated very quickly next to the window. We could see the Ferris wheel in the distance. The restaurant is very fancy and more for a special occasion. The tomato bread was paired with honey butter from the hives on the hotel roof. The crab dip was cheesy and warm. Salmon was cooked nicely but the veg was a little sad

We wanted a great meal and found it here! With the many steakhouse options in the DMV we tend to forget about the good ole reliable hotel Steakhouses. I too am guilty, admittedly not having stepped foot in the Gaylord National Harbor in over 6 years! The food was fabulous, and the service was excellent. Our server Ruben's recommendations were fantastic. We loved and went with every single one of them starting with the Baked Maryland Lump Crab Dip. The crab dip was thick, creamy, and piping hot with large chunks of fresh lump crab meat. For entrees, we had the Tournedos Rossini and the Old Hickory Crabcakes. The steak was extremely tender, luxurious, and flavorful. The Crabcakes were meaty, juicy, well-seasoned, and golden brown. The bill was not small by any means, but reasonable for a steakhouse. Old Hickory was an experience. From the food to the class and charm of the staff. It's an experience I will be having again and again. This place is worth every penny!

For appetizers, I ordered the fried oyster deviled eggs, and wow... they were so good. The little fried oysters on top of the deviled eggs were such a perfect combination. For my entrée, I had the whole grilled branzino served over a green bean and fennel salad, and let me tell you... this was hands down one of the best branzinos I've ever had. The fish was seasoned perfectly and cooked beautifully. And that green bean and fennel salad underneath? So much better than I expected. I actually considered swapping it out, and I'm so glad I didn't because it completed the dish perfectly. Every bite was delicious. I also had a cocktail called the Endless Summer -- a tequila drink with this amazing foam on top -- and it was excellent. I asked the bartender for a recommendation, and she absolutely delivered. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. I went by myself, sat at the bar, and genuinely enjoyed every minute of it. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, and just an overall really enjoyable experience. I will definitely be back, and I absolutely recommend checking it out if you're at the Harbor.

The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was amazing, and we had such a great time from beginning to end. Our waiter, Ibrahim, was phenomenal. He took exceptional care of our table, was professional, attentive, and truly elevated the entire dining experience. He walked us through all of the specials -- from the Chilean sea bass to the espresso-rubbed filet mignon -- and everything sounded so good that we ended up trying a little bit of everything. And let me tell you... every single dish delivered. For appetizers we had the Rockefeller oysters, whiskey shrimp and kale Caesar salads. For entrees, I personally had the red snapper entree and the scallop entree, and I also ordered the ribeye for the table. Other dishes included the espresso filet, a Mediterranean branzino along with another entrée featuring crab cake, shrimp, and salmon. Everything was flavorful, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. Everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed their meals. One of the highlights of the evening was when Ibrahim smoked our drinks tableside for us. It added such a fun and memorable touch to an already special night. He also took the time to explain the history behind the restaurant, and it was such an informative and meaningful story. Learning about the history made the experience feel even more special and gave us an even greater appreciation for dining there. Overall, it was an outstanding birthday dinner and an experience I will absolutely remember. I will definitely be returning, and if you're looking for a beautiful restaurant with amazing food, wonderful service, and a memorable atmosphere, I highly recommend checking them out. We also had a reservation but were initially told they couldn't find it without much effort to check. The wait times were extremely long about 30 minutes for our appetizer and an hour for our entrées. After waiting that long, 2 out of 3 of us had to send our food back because it was undercooked. That said, our waiter Reuben was very kind and did what he could to turn things around. He comped some items and brought out bread pudding, which ended up being the best thing we had. The ambience in the bar area was decent, with nice smaller tables and good music, but it was so loud we could barely hear each other. Food overall was hit or miss. The calamari was just okay, but the breading was falling off and the sauce was runny. The clam chowder was actually pretty good, according to my friends. Unfortunately, the entrées were the biggest letdown; one steak came out rare instead of medium well, and my salmon looked slimy and unappetizing. Overall, between the long wait times and disappointing entrées, I wouldn't return. I do appreciate our waiter Reuben though for trying to improve the experience, so shout out to him!

Unfortunately, the biggest issue here is consistently poor service. From the moment we sit down, we clearly communicate that we're not using the food bar and want to proceed directly with the table-side meats. Despite that, it always takes an unreasonable amount of time just to receive the red/green cards so service can even begin. That delay happens every single visit. Even once we're ready, we're often left waiting with little to no attention. What's especially frustrating is that the floor managers only seem to step in after we're visibly trying to get someone's attention--literally looking around and "cracking our necks" to find help. Only then does the service suddenly improve, which shows the capability is there--it's just not consistent or proactive. On our most recent visit, the experience was even worse. The meat rotation was limited, with mostly overcooked options (medium-well to well done) and a heavy focus on basic white meats. We had to specifically request cuts like picanha and ribeye, and those took an additional 15-20 minutes to come out. By that point, we had already spent about 45 minutes waiting, our child was restless, and our patience was gone. For a $160-$220 meal after tip, it's unacceptable to spend most of the time waiting just to get the items you actually came for. We kept coming back hoping for a better experience, but this was our last visit. There are too many other options at National Harbor to deal with this level of inconsistency.

We were seated inside, which had a decent amount of seating. I thought the restaurant was cute, and it had a nice ambience. The vegetables were also very good, and the pita it came with was great. On the breakfast menu, we ordered the chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits. Both were very good. I haven't had many chicken and waffles, but the chicken was tasty with the hot honey. The shrimp and grits was very flavorful. If I had to pick one though, I would probably pick the shrimp and grits. We walked in and were blessed to immediately get a table despite being told it may be an hour wait on the phone. We received a menu and ordered the breakfast burrito and the biscuits and gravy. Our food came extremely fast which surprised me and makes me wonder how much is prepped ahead. My friend received the burrito and it was very greasy so she requested to order something else. My biscuits and gravy were yummy. The eggs were cooked well and the fried chicken was the star of the show. Easily this was some of the best chicken I have had in a while. I overall enjoyed my meal but I wish there was way more gravy as there was only a little bit layered on top of the 2 biscuits. My friend was given a menu to order something else and this menu was different and had dinner options. It was 4:30 when we came and not more than 15 minutes of difference before receiving a menu the second time so we were surprised but eager to look. My friend ordered the half chicken which came with collard greens and grits. Since there was a different menu I wasn't aware of I wanted to order something additional and opted for saving the brunch meal I ordered for breakfast tomorrow. I loveeee scallops so when I seen them on the menu especially over grits I had to order it. The scallops were cooked wonderfully and I loved the composition of the dish with the creamy grits and the acid from the tomatoes and the smokiness of the sauce and grits. My friend loved the half chicken and after trying it myself we both agreed Matt and Tony's knows how to cook chicken well. The greens had nice flavor but were a little dry and needed some broth/juice from cooking. Again the grits were delicious and creamy with a bit of smoky flavor. I also had the Peso Cocktail which was sweet with a nice kick. Overall I enjoyed this restaurant and would come again and absolute what I ordered again as well. Coming here next time will be hard cause I'm definitely going to be battling between wanting what I already had and trying something new.

No fault of his, but beverages were missed, refills were slow, 2 orders were forgotten. *Sigh* As for the food ... LOVE their menu additions / updates (crab dip, etc.) but we all agreed we'll skip Redstone's food moving forward. Everything was mediocre and lacked seasoning. The ranch wings had NO flavor, the barbecue sauce on the barbecue wings was good but the wings were just as unseasoned as the ranch wings. The buffalo shrimp, brussel sprouts and cornbread were decent, but it was just too much hit or miss with everything else we ordered. Suffice it to say, I was not a fan this time. However, I would absolutely return to chill and enjoy some cocktails in their outdoor space. NGL, that fire pit area is prime real estate at the harbor! Would love to hear YOUR opinion. The good: the buttery rolls came out hot and smelled amazing; they can make a lactose-free version. The salmon and ribs were good, and of the plate of delicious desserts, the banana cream pudding was a standout. The midding: the vegetarian noodle bowl was a very large serving compared to everything else (one person remarked that it seemed bottomless). Cocktail menu was interesting, but my colleague's nonalcoholic cocktail was a miss. The bad; Someone else's chicken was undercooked. The salad greens were drenched in dressing, so I just ate the cherry tomatoes. The white rice and mixed veg that came with my salmon were just meh. Finally, quite loud inside; I was hoarse from shouting.
