Came here after the movies. Food was great. Good service. Loved our server. Ambiance was great. Highly recommend. And convenient location across the street from an AMC.

2x here... ask for Kasey, w/ a "K"... 5 stars for our server! She was incredibly accommodating, even at 7 p.m. on a Thursday evening when most people are ready to clock out and cranky. She was attentive, friendly, and made the experience enjoyable, everything you hope for in a server.

Cute restaurant with decent amount of seating. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Food was really good and decent price. A nice little Italian gem in Alexandria. Small parking lot available as well as parking garages nearby. Can also metro there and walk a little bit.

Herbed Grilled Wings

Ordered take out from Delia's. I ordered the wings, pasta and a pizza. I had high hopes for the pizza but I think the pizza did not hold up as well as the ricotta cheese seem to have separated from the rest of the pizza. The Gamberetti Alla Montese was my least favorite. The pasta dish was pretty pricey and lacked in flavor and seasoning. I could not get the taste of the sauce. There was pretty big chunks of crab and shrimp. The herbed grilled chicken wings were pretty tasty. The dipping sauce is sweet parsley cucumber ranch which balanced the smokiness of the wings.

Could have been better. While the setting is nice, other elements of the evening were unimpressive. Service was slow, taking ~10 minutes to even get a server. We actually had to ask for someone to take our order. When the food came, it wasn't prepared in the best manner. We haven't eaten there before and it was good, but this time didn't cut it. While my wife's pizza (Smokey pepp) was good, my son's pollo brunello had overcooked chicken (very dry). And I found the pollo francese had competing flavors. I'll accept some of the blame for choosing it, but don't think a lemon sauce for the chicken goes well with a tomato-based sauce for the pasta. I think this needs to be re-thought. Bottom line, our experience could have been much better.

Lobster Ravioli

This place is amazing. I did takeout in the past, but tonight I dined in. Service was great. I ordered the waiter's recommendation, lobster ravioli. It was delicious. This place is so comfortable and warm.

This place is solid. Glad DoorDash delivers to us but we've also dined in before/after the movies and gotten takeout. Big fan of the gyro, octopus, dips, and zucchini chips.

Delia's was delicious . The sliders were small but juicy with caramelized onions. The grilled octopus was tender with a nice char though slightly overcooked, and the truffle fries were crispy with just the right amount of Parmesan. The shrimp linguine was creamy, flavorful, and packed with grilled shrimp and fresh crab meat. Definitely should try this.

Atmosphere was okay, I'd suggest sitting in the bar area, the rest is very average in ambiance. Happy hour deals were great! Only had one bartender and like 18 people...service was slower but he did a good job. Food looks better than it tastes, pizza was undercooked and everything just fell off as you ate it. Chorizo didn't seem real, seemed like ground beef with seasoning. "Prosciutto" was just ham not the real stuff.

A very cute spot. Delicious food and drinks. A fine group was sitting at the bar with Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy

Mini Gyros
Tom P.

Delia's is conveniently located across from the IMAX theater, so my friend and I got a small bite to eat. We decided to grab a spot at the bar and luckily they had a happy hour menu. The bar area is cozy (= small) but is friendly and has TVs playing sports. The bartender serves the bar and the few high top tables, so he had a lot on his hands but was prompt and had great suggestions for us. We went with two items on their happy hour menu, so I don't think they are on the regular menu. Spicy chorizo flatbread pizza and the mini gyros. Both were tasty but the winner was the pizza. I would imagine that their full sized pizzas are amazing. The mini gyros were flavorful, but the crispiness of the pitas made it difficult to eat by hand. Wish they were soft pitas. I really liked Delia's and since they are so convenient to the theater, plan on making it my regular pre-movie spot.

Both times we've gone, we've ended up in the whiskey bar section. It's cozy, a little tucked away, and honestly the perfect setting for good drinks and good conversation. We also got lucky on both visits because Jessica took care of us each time. She's fantastic. She's witty, sharp, and knows the menu and the whiskey list inside and out. She makes choosing drinks or food feel effortless and fun, and she brings a ton of personality without ever overdoing it... she reads the group pretty well. The cocktails are excellent, but the whiskey selection is where they really stand out. You can tell the bartenders know what they're doing. The pours, the recommendations, the way they talk about the bottles on the shelf, it all shows real skill and pride. The food has been consistently great. We've tried the burgers, the chicken sandwich, the braised short rib, and the crab dip, and every single one has been a hit. Flavorful, well made, and worth coming back for. The only thing I probably wouldn't order again is the pulled pork. It wasn't bad, just not the style or flavor profile I look for in a place like this. Do it.

I ordered the corned beef and cabbage on DoorDash, fully expecting the usual takeout roulette: soggy cabbage, tired meat, and a mild sense of regret. Instead? No knife, no effort--just fork, bite, and immediate life improvement. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked like someone back there has ancestral pride on the line. And the cabbage? Listen... cabbage is usually just there for emotional support. Not this time. This cabbage had purpose. This cabbage had ambition. By the end, I wasn't "finishing my meal"--I was chasing the last bites like I'd just spotted the end of a rainbow. Container: empty. Dignity: questionable. Satisfaction: unmatched. At first, you'll see what looks like just a pizza shop -- but if you head in and either use the side door or walk through and climb a set of stairs, you'll find the speakeasy upstairs. Very cool vibe: dark, cozy, and date-night ready. Drinks: 4/5 I ordered their take on an Old Fashioned, and it was definitely the highlight of the night but sweeter than I would have liked. They served it over a stamped solid block of ice (a small detail I ). My friend was abstaining from alcohol that night and asked for a non-alcoholic cocktail. To our surprise, they didn't just hand her a lemonade like most places -- they actually made her a crafted virgin drink, which she loved. Food: 3/5 We ordered fries and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The fries turned out to be waffle fries (not mentioned on the menu) and were overly crispy, so not really our favorite. The pizza was fine -- clearly sourced from the shop downstairs -- but it leaned oily and didn't really wow us. Service: 5/5 Pretty standard -- nothing over the top, but not neglectful either. Drinks came out reasonably fast, food followed, and we were checked on enough without it feeling pushy. Vibes: 4/5 The speakeasy itself is definitely the selling point. Dark, intimate, and stylish -- you feel like you've found a little hidden spot. All in all, the cocktails are the reason to come, especially if you're into whiskey. The food was forgettable, but it's convenient that you can order pizza upstairs. We spent about $30-40 for drinks and snacks, which isn't shocking for Old Town. Would I go back? Maybe if I was already in the area, but for a dedicated whiskey night, I'd probably head somewhere else.

When I asked about the discrepancy, I was told the systems sometimes differ by a few cents. The adjustment was made when I requested to pay the correct total, but the response suggested that questioning "only two cents" was unreasonable. My concern was never the amount; it was the principle. When a customer is shown one accurate total and then asked to authorize a higher one without explanation, it creates the appearance of taking money that was not part of the stated charge. If I may add my two cents as a former patron and frequent restaurant guest: trust matters in a dining experience. Even a few unexplained pennies raise a reasonable question--if this occurs repeatedly throughout the day, where do those extra cents go? A couple of cents from one guest, a few more from another, eventually add up. Transparency in billing prevents that concern. When a discrepancy is presented without a clear explanation and a patron is made to feel foolish for asking about it, it leaves a bad taste, regardless of how enjoyable the meal may have been.

But, if you've dialed in Brut as your destination, be prepared to step in to an oenophile's wet dream. The establishment is both a bottle shop and a wine bar.
