We also grabbed an order of their super skinny and crispy french fries. The rest of the menu is American stuff. I've as of now tried both of these and very content with the taste and filling of these two, the price is reasonable per the portion and yummyness($12.49) plus tax about $13.25. The only thing I would change a bit is making sure that the juice from the bulgogi doesn't soak the bread too much cuz then it's mushy. I like a crunchy texture to my subs, but the may be just my preference. Both the son and the mom are super nice, if you become a regular it's very nice to have people know what you want right away. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. I hope that they can incorporate more korean food to their menu, at least 2 more that have a different protein so we have a bit more variety. Though I understand why the options for kfood are limited given the area's population. Things to keep in mind: - When you order let them know if you want it to go or to eat there. Nobody can read minds, but they will do their best to ask you prior to packaging to confirm. - It can get busy so sometimes transaction may take longer because people are multitasking. - - - Don't rip out the receipt, you might be taking the wrong copy. Wait for the cashier to hand it to you or simply ask. -If you have questions about a product, ask them and don't assume. Yes. There is a big menu and pamphlets available and they provide brief item description but if that's not clear, just ask. They also have prepackaged salads, fruit and a few sweet treats, along with MissVickies chips, and bottle drinks. It's a cafe so the basics. Overall, really nice experience. Tots recommended :3

A little late to the party, but we finally made it to Miss Shirley's this past Monday after hearing…read moregood things about it for years. We started things off with the appetizers, and the Hot Honey Fried Chicken Deviled Eggs were absolutely phenomenal. Easily one of the best things we ordered. They were so good that I honestly could've eaten an entire order by myself and been perfectly happy. We also tried the house-made cornbread. Their version was a little different from what I'm used to and almost gave me French toast stick vibes. The consistency was good and it definitely wasn't bad, just a different take on cornbread than I expected. Between the two appetizers, though, I'm choosing those deviled eggs every single time. For my meal, I ordered three scrambled eggs with cheese, Cranberry Maple Turkey Sausage, shredded hash browns, an everything biscuit with cream cheese, and pancakes. Everything was good, but those pancakes were easily the star of the meal. Honestly, some of the best pancakes I've ever had. Perfect consistency, fluffy in the middle with slightly crispy edges, and flavorful enough that you really didn't need much syrup. The eggs were solid -- simple scrambled eggs with cheese done right. The Cranberry Maple Turkey Sausage was really, really good as well. I'm personally not a huge fan of shredded hash browns because I prefer home fries or diced breakfast potatoes, but that's more of a texture preference than anything being wrong with them. I'm also not much of a bagel person, so I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the everything biscuit, but surprisingly, I really enjoyed it. My lady ordered the brisket skillet, which had brisket, scrambled eggs, shredded potatoes, peppers, and everything mixed together. Very flavorful, and the portion was definitely generous. For drinks, she had the Pineapple Coconut Colada, which was good and definitely had a heavy pour that day. I had Shirley's Crush. I'm already a big fan of orange crushes, and theirs was really good -- flavorful, refreshing, and they definitely weren't stingy with the alcohol. Our waitress, Melissa, was amazing. Very attentive, helpful, friendly, and she took great care of us throughout the entire meal. Great service can really add to an experience, and she definitely did that for us. I honestly don't have any real complaints about Miss Shirley's. The food was good, the service was excellent, portions were generous, and there were so many other things on the menu that caught my attention. I already know I'll be going back so I can start scratching some more items off the list. The only downside worth mentioning is parking, but that's pretty normal for a city location. There's a parking garage directly across the street, which is extremely convenient, but we paid around $24 for maybe an hour and a half to two hours. A little pricey for that amount of time, but I guess you're paying for the convenience of being literally across the street. Overall, my first experience was a solid 5 out of 5. I can only speak for my visit, but the food, drinks, service, and overall experience were all on point. Definitely recommend, and I'll definitely be back.

Bad from the start. An employee was rude at the door when I told him 1 person but didn't walk to the counter area by myself. I was adhering to the highlighter yellow sign at the empty host stand that said to wait for a host in bold print. Upon sitting at the counter I noticed a very strong smell of rot and stale beer. It looked liked they hadnt cleaned back there for at least a year. I decided to deal with the stench only to be halfway greeted by a bartender. Rather than any conversation he just stood there with a blank stare. 15 minutes after ordering, I was told that they made a mistake and needed to remake my burger...i said "ok". Imediately after that another employee thought she was funny by calling guests at the bar her cousins, lover, etc. I tried to ignore it. Unfortunately, the funny employee chose to get my attention by saying "Why didn't you agree to be my cousin?" with a truly mean look on her face. At that point i cancelled my food, payed for my drink and left. ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS service and environment. read more

I have had the chance to dine at their Inner Harbor location when I attended a conference in 2018, and I just had to have it at the Roland Park location, since I was on my way to Owings Mills to run some errands for the weekend. This location has parking (they have a spacious lot in the back, as well as some on-street parking) in an honestly really nice neighborhood that gives you that suburban, small-town vibe. Upon arriving right after they had just opened at 8:00 a.m., an aesthetically-inspiring and vibrant atmosphere awoke my eyes, with the bold orange and purple walls adorning wall art - in an intimate, yet spacious interior dining room, along with a courteous, friendly, and personable waiting staff! Miss Shirley's Cafe is a warm and inviting restaurant, with a host stand just inside the main door & the main dining room right behind it. Immediately to the left of the host stand is an open doorway to a waiting area and the East Room, a small dining space that seats about 25. Upstairs is a terrace that seats 40-50, used as a semi-private dining space and overflow dining space as needed. To the right of the main dining room is the Rock Room, a private function space that seats about 80. In case you'd like to know, they do not accept reservations, and if you don't come in right away once they open, you may have to wait for a bit. Breakfast all day makes Miss Shirley's Cafe stand out from many restaurants in the area. The restaurant is open for breakfast, brunch and lunch, and closes for the day at 3:00 p.m. Many of their employees have been on staff since the beginning, and part of the reason is because they can be home in the evenings with their families. The Miss Shirley's Cafe menu is huge, and includes morning cocktails, appetizers, sides, house favorites, omelets, pancakes, soups & salads, sandwiches, and lunch combos. Since it was Baltimore County Restaurant Week (it ran from July 18th to August 2nd), they offered a 2-course prix-fixe menu for $25 - which comes with an appetizer and an entreé of your choice, not a bad deal per say! I opted for their Cajun Shrimp & Corn Stew (which was hearty and comforting - and the flavor was just right), definitely filled my stomach with a warm sensation to begin my day. As for my entreé, I did not regret getting the B'more Breakfast Bowl, which I had substituted for all egg white scrambled eggs, topped with Parmesan, Roasted Sweet Potato, Sautéed Spinach, Roasted Corn, Tri-Colored Cherry Tomatoes and Onions with Lemon & Dill, Pickled Jalapeños and avocado slices. It was the perfect combination to start my long day of running errands and getting stuff done. I definitely would've opted for their heartier and meatier choices; but I didn't want to feel bloated for the remainder of the day while trying to be productive, LOL. I highly recommend ya'll try Miss Shirley's Cafe when your travels call you to Baltimore - and don't tell you I didn't warn you!
