Great hotel to stay, it's by the cancer centers and UW medical. Very lovely staff, literally all the staff is amazing. 10/10 recommend. We will be staying here from now on as I go back and forth to UW for my health from now on.

This is my first time staying at a Silver Cloud Hotel - count me as a fan of this small PNW hotel chain. All the spaces here appeared updated, clean, spacious, and nicely appointed... lobby, breakfast room, bedrooms... I was really impressed! Most importantly NO musty or dusty smells were detected! The standard 2 queen room was well appointed and SPACIOUS! It had a large desk, comfy lounge chair w/ottoman. Microwave - YES! And all other standard amenities like fridge, safe, ironing, hair dryer. Reasonably comfy bed with nice cotton sheets. Room darkened drapes. 7th floor facing the street was fairly quiet. Gym is open 24hrs. Breakfast is terrific assortment! 6:30-10am with 1 tv showing the morning news programming. Parking here is $30/day, so it can add up. Walkable location to downtown. 20 min drive to the airport at a non traffic time. Convenient location and friendly helpful staff! I'd definitely come back for a longer stay!

We stayed here for 2 nights, family of 4, and it was a really great experience. Front desk was very kind and accommodating at check in and allowed us to check in early as we had an early flight. The room was clean, and was spacious enough for all of us with a room divider built into the wall so the kids could have a separate space from the adults. On the positive side, the kids were on the inside, not door side (opposite from embassy suites) so we felt safer at night. The location at first seems weird, but it was actually my favorite part. It's across from lake Union so we were able to walk to dinner, our cruise on lake Union, and to the wooden boat center. We also walked back from the space needle which may be far for some, but wasn't bad and felt completely safe the whole time. The location is actually better than downtown bc there is less traffic and noise. The breakfast spread was perfect and plentiful with a mix of fun traditional breakfast hot foods and fruit and fresh food. My only complaint were the rooms were a little dark and outdated, and you could hear hallway noise VERY well. BUT, again, very clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were fully stocked with Aveda products which was a nice surprise, and came with 2 sinks in 2 separate areas which helped with getting ready. Definitely would stay here again if in Seattle.

My mom and I got a suite for my birthday weekend and stayed one night in a suite. It was great! We had a great water view, a nice big room that we could have easily had more people in (king bed with a sleeper couch), mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot with a bar sink, a separate living space with doors to shut out the noise, french doors that opened to the outside (beautiful!) and two bathroom sinks which makes it much easier for getting ready. Our stay included free parking and free breakfast! The location was great for staying right on S. Lake Union, and a quick 5 minute drive right to all the other districts for shopping etc. Also located near the freeway! Pros: Friendly staff, excellent pricing, comfortable and spacious room, awesome amenities Cons: I could hear the people upstairs walking and talking throughout the night, breakfast was average (I have had my fair share of free hotel bfasts and this was nothing special- I would suggest adding more non-dairy options for people), construction going on was kind of annoying with the view but what can ya do about that... Highly recommend this hotel!

On the Surface, it was a great deal a room in Seattle with parking and breakfast for under a $100 on hotwire. Sadly plumbing issues a super tight first level parking area made it ok but not a great experience. First of the room was actually fairly nice with a king bed clean and spacious. The staff were helpful but indifferent at times. I asked about the construction out the window of my room was going affect my sleep the front desk guy said he did not know. See the photo and laugh. The food was good at breakfast and the second day I learned about second level parking which was much simpler to access. Overall the place works and price was right the stay lacked all-around success of experince.

Silver Cloud hosted our guests and us for our wedding weekend. They made sure we had the best view of the lake in a suite where the bride could get her hair and makeup ready. They were thoughtful and put a congratulatory note on their TVs around the building. The continental breakfast was hearty and we were happy that we got to see our guests every morning. The beds are comfortable and the rooms private, we never had hallway noise. Parking spots were available (though you pay for this access), and the distance to downtown and South Lake Union made it easy for our guests from out of town to tour the city. Overall, a great stay and we'd happily come back again.

Hotel located on the outskirts of the downtown core but with a complimentary shuttle that operates until 10:30 pm every day and takes you to Pike place, west lake or the space needle. Very friendly and efficient staff. Check in took less than 5 mins and assigned a spacious king suite with a view of lake union. The suite had a separate living area with fire place. Bathroom was a little bit small and took a few mins for the water for the shower to warm up. Two sinks, one in the bathroom one outside the bathroom. Aveda shampoo and soap. Free parking was another great perk as most downtown hotels charge 40 dollars / night for parking. Free breakfast was also included which included bacon, scrambled eggs and waffles. Great value for the money.

Cute gesture from the staff to welcome me to the hotel!
Silvia V.

Comfortable and well located hotel in downtown Seattle. Pros: - comfy bed - large rooms with view on the lake - friendly staff - great location with shuttle for local activities such as space needle or pike place - direct access to downtown via uber or walk on the trail - quiet, clean and well equipped hotel. Rooms have Aveda amenities (soap/shampoo/etc) which is a plus! - onsite covered parking (don't know if it's included in room or not) - price is reasonable for seattle and location Cons: - breakfast is included but is okay. It has everything a traditional hotel had with waffles/muffins/eggs/sausages/cereals/etc. But nothing fancy.

The staff definitely leave something to be desired. I found them a mixture of condescending and rude. We requested early check in and where informed our room was not ready. Than watched them check in couple after couple. 2.5 hours later we got our early check in. A whole 15 minutes early. This was after it supposedly took them 45 minutes to clean the room. Now on to the room. The room was modestly sized with furniture shoved into every available space. The floors are plastic and cold. TV lost connection no less than 5 times forcing us to miss a few minutes of the show to reboot it. The best part was the bed. Very comfy bed. The comforters they provide are not designed for tall people though. The bathroom was not great. The shower is small with a temp control that sticks causing jumps in water temp. From luke warm to scalding quickly. For men beware the toilet. The water level is so high if you have to sit down to potty you will need to squat or parts might find themselves taking a swim in murky waters if you know what i mean. I would have normally told the staff all of this but the icy frosting on this stay was check out where the staff gave no greeting, didn't ask how the stay was or even express any positive sentiment towards us. In a city full of places to stay don't be fooled by there advertised low price. You end up with a low price experience for a high price in your check book.

It was about 3:15 pm. He had to check with housekeeping to see if the room was ready. No joke.....almost 45 minutes went by and housekeeping had not replied. He wasn't phased. He had the personality to a wet sock. The manager was running in and out behind the counter. Nothing was happening or being communicated to me. Finally, after a very long wait we were given keys to our room. I asked about any type of breakfast or happy hour. They don't offer any of that. The room has no little refrigerator other than a cooler drawer filled with outrageously priced snacks and alcohol. Good thing we didn't have medications that needed refrigeration. There's no microwave. There's no condiments for coffee or tea. There's a Nespresso maker for those people who enjoy Nespresso. I'm not one who particularly enjoys Nespresso. There were no pods anywhere. I asked for some at the front desk and I was told that it's hidden in the room somewhere. It's Christmas not Easter and I'm not going to play hide and seek for the crappy coffee. The furnishings were modern and cold. The lack of the little niceties that are standard everywhere else aren't here. The least they could have done was provide quality customer service and not by someone who seems like they would be better off employed in a funeral home. Pros, view and location Cons, pretty much everything else.

It is a very convenient location, just minutes away from the Seattle Farmer's Market and near to Chinatown. While we had access to early check in with our credit card, our room type (suite) was not ready yet and actually ended up not being ready until around 4:00 P.M. (regular check in time) so we did have to drop off our luggage and decided to walk around. When we came back and our room was ready, my husband did call down and mentioned it was our anniversary since they had confirmed in previously but we didn't see anything in the room, and they were very kind to bring up a little treat for us including some delicious chocolate covered strawberries. The room itself was spacious and clean with a great view of the city (we had a corner view). The bath tub had a fun feature (water to fill the tub came from a ceiling faucet rather than attached to the tub. The towels were large and fluffy and overall ambience was relaxing with a couch in the room. Check out was smooth and they had our bill ready and everything was easy/correct so we did not have to worry. We also did have late check out, which was pleasant as we could have a leisurely morning. We did try the restaurant (All Water) both for dinner and brunch the next day. Service was very slow unfortunately for the restaurant (it took 1.5 hours while the restaurant wasn't busy, and they did forget our side of grilled broccolini until after we finished our meals/reminded them). We tried the tuna hamachi crudo, clams and mussels, roasted hen of the woods and grilled broccolini. The tuna hamachi crudo was good, though I was hoping for more brightness in the flavor. I enjoyed the clams and mussels as well as the roasted hen of the woods overall, but felt the grilled broccolini was a little too dry (seemed grilled without any oil or seasoning). We did also try a few seasonal mocktails which were delicious and the highlight of the meal. Brunch the next day was take out and we went with a steak and eggs and a caesar salad. Both were solid, but note that the caesar salad came with actual little sardines, so for those picky eaters, this may be a bit much.

The provided shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion worked well and had a nice light citrusy scent. There was a Keurig machine in the room; not my jam but helpful in a pinch. We always got stocked with dark roast coffee pods, which is my preference, whoo. Also an empty mini fridge which we were able to use for beverages and leftovers. The 7th floor has a nice little seating area outside the bar where I was able to get some quiet work done one weekday, and the outdoor terrace offers a mountain view on clear days. The fitness center is small: just two treadmills, one recumbent bike, an elliptical, a peloton, and many dumbbells, but I had no problem getting a treadmill run in each morning before 9 am. Water bottle fillers on floors 1 and 4 were super convenient, too. The valet parking is very convenient but pricy. Our last two nights of our journey were spent in Seattle at the Shafer Baillie mansion. I would highly recommend staying here. The location was great for getting to downtown and all around. It was built in 1914 and has been well cared for over the years. When we came back from one evening out, we all gathered in the Library and set up some charcuterie and wine to share from our travels. It was so cozy sitting all together and chatting about our adventures. The rooms are historic with modern conveniences. Our room was the Queen Ann Hill. We slept soundly in our comfortable 4 poster bed. There was a helpful step stool for me to climb up as I am vertically challenged. It has original pushbotton light switches. It had a beautiful full length mirror. There was a flatscreen TV, but we had so many wonderful activities we did not use it. The bathroom was updated but still fit with the historic look. There were two showerheads in the tiled shower. Breakfast was lovely. I, personally, have a great deal of food allergies. There was ample selection that I was able to enjoy just as much as anyone else. There were breads and pastries, jams and spreads, yogurt and fresh berries, and a hot breakfast dish. Hard boiled eggs were available as well as cheeses and meats. There was a coffee bar that was available all day that also had tea and cocoa. We sat at the long dining table enjoying each others company and conversation. We got to meet some of the other guests which added to the experience. The greeters always opened the door for me, the check-in desk staff were courteous and always had a smile, and the checkout process was also quick and ended with an invitation to return to the property the next time I'm in Seattle. The temperature controls worked great, the bed was very comfortable and had an adequate number of pillows, the bathroom was well-appointed, and everything was very clean. The bath towels were large, soft, and plush. The frosted door to the water closet was a nice touch for the sake of privacy if you were sharing the space with someone. The shower was not huge but it was more than adequately spacious for me. There were 2 robes hung in the bathroom (though I didn't use them). The small table and chairs near the window were convenient and comfortable to work from. The view from my room was very nice, especially during clear days when you can see the water and the mountains in the distance. The room was always well maintained after the typical morning cleaning as well as during turn down service. I appreciated the staff placing slippers by the bed and how they always nicely arranged my toiletries in the bathroom, replaced used towels with fresh ones, and even placed things on the table in the bedroom (like my charger, earbud case, eyeglass case, and so on) neatly for when I returned. The bar area at the back of the restaurant was a nice little area and had a table large enough for our group of around 8-10 to comfortably sit at while enjoying a nightcap. My breakfast the day I checked out was also high quality and my server Nathan was pleasant, timely, and honest about prep time of some items I wanted to order but was constricted due to a time crunch. In general, every staff member I encountered was pleasant, eager to help, and always smiled and made eye contact when speaking with me.
