If you love sports, I suggest staying here. It is right next to SafeCo field. The room I got was awesome, though it wasn't baseball season when I went, I could just imagine what it would be like. I got a room with a nice view of SafeCo and it was on the same floor as the rooftop pool and hot tub. It was rainy, Seattle is like that you know, but I still didn't waste an opportunity to use the rooftop hot tub at night. The hotel has a PC room to surf the net if you don't pack a laptop. But what was weird was when I opened the door one night to use the room, and a hotel guest was using one of the two pieces to look at naked pictures of women. PORN! I totally walked in on the guy self-bonering. I feel kinda bad on walking in on his salf-gratification, but at the same time I didn't. Why would you subject yourself to humiliation by running the risk of getting walked in on by looking at porn sites? He awkwardly changed the window to his Yahoo! email and left after only 1 minute. Pwn3d! Other than that, that hotel is awesome, and the bar/rstaurant downstairs helped me get drunk before heading downtown to work. My flight into Seattle was 5 hours earlier than check in, but when I showed up, they let me check in early so I could pass out to the cool Windows-Media-Player style music show on the 42" LCD mounted on the wall in my room. Oh, it also has one of those alarm clocks the newer and hipper hotels have that you can dock your iPod into. Also, in the bathroom, Aveda bathroom stuff. Brand name, baby. read more

If you are in town for a game or have business near the port, this is an amazing location! It sits across the street from Safeco Field. If you're looking for active night spots, you would be better served downtown because this neighborhood is pretty dead. The hotel itself is well-appointed and clean. The rooms are a good size, with a comfy bed, a nice desk and a massive TV. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. Nothing really stuck out about Silver Cloud, but it definitely checked all the boxes for a good stay! read more

Stayed here last month for a football weekend downtown. Went to the Husky game on Saturday & the Seahawk game on Sunday. Had stayed here twice before & knew it was a wonderful hotel. Booked a suite with fold out couch in the living room. Room was huge! Bathroom was in the hallway between the living area & the bedroom. Very convenient since we shared the room one night with my brother & his girlfriend. Sleeping areas are far enough apart that you don't have to hear any snoring coming from the other area. We were lucky to receive early check in so we could dump off all our stuff & get ready to go to the game. $20 a night parking is an exceptionally good deal on game days when some parking lots in the area charge the same or more. Did not take advantage of the free shuttle service in the downtown area & instead walked down to Ivars on the waterfront both nights for awesome happy hour dinner. Trains can be loud if you are on the West side of the hotel. Roof top pool is a little small but perfectly refreshing. Hot tub was THE party spot on Saturday night. Aveda products in the bathroom but generic coffee for the coffee maker. Powdered cream instead of liquid. :( Small but adequate mini fridge in room. read more

This was my first time at the Silver Cloud Hotel. The location was a little hard to find but it was literally right across from Safeco Field. For those who are taking the train into Seattle, it is a 15 min walk from the station which is nice (once you figure out where to go of course). When I arrived, my room was ready which was great since sometimes that doesn't happen at all hotels when you show up a little before check-in time. I got a room on the top floor where. I was very pleased with my room. There were 2 queen beds, a very nice sunken bathtub, a 42 inch flat screen TV, and microwave and a little mini fridge. The beds were very comfortable. They probably had some of the most comfy pillows I have slept on in a hotel in years. The staff was very friendly as well. They have room service till 10pm. The downstair restaurant is decent. **Hint** Just go pick up your dinner in the restaurant so you will not have to pay the 18% gratuity and the delivery fee if you have it brought to the room. On the top floor is am outdoor hot tub and heated pool which was great to relax in late at night. It's wonderful to soak and look at the lights of the city. One other great advantage of the Silver Cloud is their complimentary shuttle service. The hotel is a little far from the city center and it is a little questionable to walk around in the area but their drivers will take you to most of the local tourist spots downtown and ferry ports for free (make sure to tip the driver though, its just common courtesy). Overall, really enjoyed my stay at the Silver Cloud Stadium and will definitely stay there again. I think it is very fair to say Silver Cloud Stadium is a 3 star hotel. Suggestions: I found the choice of channels offered on their TV odd. A ton of ESPN but no MTV, VH1, Food Network, Style Channel. They should have something for everybody to watch. read more

Came here on business for a few days. The hotel looks out of place at first because it is very nice in a not so nice area surrounded by sports stadiums. However, upon entering the hotel is absolutely beautiful and very clean. The staff is very friendly and make you feel right at home your entire stay. The rooms were very comfortable and offered plenty of amenities to keep you comfortable your entire stay. Also the deep tub and HUGE built in shelf get an A++ in my book! Beds were EXTREMELY comfortable and the curtains blacked out the room so you could sleep in. Rooftop pool and hot tub were AWESOME! Room service was pricey but isn't it at every hotel? The people who delivered were also very nice and gave extra goodies like newspapers without asking for them. All in all the hotel was great but after adventuring a little I noticed there were areas where there were A LOT more things to do within a walking distance. I am sure the hotel is popping during football and baseball season though! read more

The people working were friendly and the location was great if you're looking to be by the stadiums. However. Weeks before and a week before we went to thus hotel we called to ensure the pool and or bar would be open to guests and were assured they would be. Neither were. We came to Seattle for the cowboys game and due to the canceled seating in stadium decided to just spend the weekend drinking and being at our hotel pool to still enjoy our time. I really enjoyed this hotel - I was here recently on business, so I didn't pay for the room myself, but the corporate rate on my bill was extremely reasonable. I arrived very late on a Wednesday night - checkin was quick and painless - I had an end room (844) which meant windows over both the baseball and football stadiums. The room was long and narrow with a living room, galley kitchen and bathroom in a hallway, large closet (with robes!) and the bedroom at the other end. The curtains did a great job blocking out light, and I did not hear any hallway noise while I was trying to sleep. The shuttle is a huge plus - drove me to meetings in SODO and back in the morning and then after my meetings were over, they stowed my luggage and dropped me off in front of the Nordstrom mothership. The driver gave me a card and I called later in the evening for a pickup back to the hotel, where they arranged a towncar for me to take to the airport.. I would absolutey stay here again if visiting the Seattle area. read more

This hotel has proximity to Lumen & Mariners stadiums as a plus. And that's it. The restaurant is rarely open and very limited hours. Food outside of the hotel is distant and also limited hours. 3 blocks North from here puts you into Pioneer Square and the beginning of the homeless debacle. Numerous closed storefronts through. Don't even think about walking after dark around here. Doordash is good, but very expensive on a daily basis. Parking is $40 a day. The rooms are good. read more

This hotel truly is as good as it gets. From check in to check out the customer service was excellent. The very nice lady that checked us in upgraded us to a very nice suite. The suite was very well maintained and spotless. Room service was extremely fast and very friendly. Valet parking was also efficient and very friendly. Jimmy's On First, the onsite restaurant and bar has a great selection of food and drinks, a nice atmosphere and friendly service. The location is great, right next to Safeco Field and Century Link Field. We will not hesitate to return to this Silver Cloud and recommend it highly to others looking for a nice, comfortable place to stay that offers excellent customer service. read more

Overall not a great experience. Couldn't tell if parking was self park or valet at first because the person working the desk was sitting on their phone when we pulled up. The sign that said valet was also hidden. I drove through and parked the car myself. Minutes later, the guy who was on his phone came up to yell at us telling it was valet parking only. Then when we got to our room, there was a used mask laying on the floor of our room!!! Our troubles didn't stop there though. The valet parking continued to be rude and accused us of blocking the driveway when we were just trying to drop our car off to be parked. And on top of all that, our room keys barely worked. Nice clean hotel. Closest hotel to the stadium. Rooms are good size with very large LG flat screen tv. Rooms have microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker. Free coffee. Although my first room was nice as it faced the stadium and the sun shined through the window, it was too loud with the street noise and train. We just home from a 4 night stay and it might well be our last. Love it because it's so close to the ball park. We have stayed 5 or 6 times. This time the service was terrible. The safe in the room didn't work and they would not come fix it. After doing the room 1 day they didn't leave any face clothes, coffee or bath mat. Plus 1 of the windows wouldn't latch shut. So we had an open window the whole time. Please don't order the pancakes at breakfast. I couldn't eat them and I'm not a picky eater. I've had better day old pancakes warmed up in the microwave. But the last straw for me was at check out. Never said thanks for staying or ask how we like our stay. They must not care about us so we will stay at another place. But if you go by. Go to the bar and if Sara is working you will get great service. read more

The hotel is located right next to the stadium and is the perfect place to stay if you are attending a game. It's a nice hotel with large rooms, huge widescreen TV, microwave, TV, etc. It has a small gym and a nice bar located in the lobby. The downside is you are far from the downtown action of Seattle. The rooms are very nice but cold and drafty. The heat seems to be controlled from a central location and I was unable to turn the heat up at night. However, the staff makes sure the lobby is nice and warm. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are attending a Seahawks game and need a comfortable place to stay or you are on extended business. If you are here on vacation, you may want to stay closer to the action. read more

We are at the airport leaving Seattle after staying at Sliver Cloud-Stadium and couldn't wait to rave about our experience! From the moment we arrived until leaving the customer service was impeccable. We were able to check in early without any fuss! Big Mike was great and informational on the shuttle. Luis and Rudd took time to explain the city's top places to go and were excited to hear us report back on our adventures. Deeqo, Henrik, Brian and Tina are fantastic. They made us feel at home, kept us laughing and were great to chat with while waiting for the shuttle. Tony took the time to handle an uncomfortable personal moment for me as well. He was so professional. We really cannot say enough. We hit both happy hour and reverse happy hour at Jimmy's a few times which was just perfect. I've seen a few reviews complain about noise and location. There was some ambient street noise, but it was not an issue for us. It made us feel a part of the hustle and bustle. The hotel is perfect if you're going for a game. We were worried that we were a little far from the center of activity, but really the enjoyed taking the shuttle. Running every 30 minutes, it's not an issue at all. It gave us the opportunity to talk to the drivers (Mike and Curtis) and other guests for input on what to do and where to go. On the few occasions we took an Uber, it wasn't ever more than $10. Again, such a great stay! We can't wait to return. read more

Hotel bar was very bad service but good food. We got room service and they forgot our waters. Asked for them and they didn't bring them. Had to call down and ask a third time to get them. Nice reception area, very polite staff. My issue while some would consider it trivial, no coffee in the lobby. If you want coffee, other than the 1 packet in your room, you pay 5 dollars (that's $5.00!). During the day reception seems to be quite rude, I was checking out and reception staff are gossiping over a customer on the phone, management had also partook in the gossip, however when I checked in and I arrived at 11pm night reception was super nice. So if I was to say if your gonna come here book your check in for the evening to have a nice experience. Also a side note the management I witnessed were just wearing blue stripped shirts but later on about 40 minutes late a man with a blue stripped shirt and a black over coat talked to the reception and calmed them down. Stayed here for a weekend back in July travelling from NYC. Great hotel, where the rooms were super clean, very big and impressive. All the staff seemed to be nice, never had a bad interaction with anyone on site and the Jimmy's on first restaurant inside the hotel was pretty great to eat at. It's across the street from the Seattle Mariner's baseball stadium and the view from the roof of the stadium is gorgeous. Jacuzzi and pool also upstairs on the roof. No real issues, my only gripe was the price was quite expensive for what I got. I've stayed at equal or slightly better for less. If you can grab this hotel on a deal go for it! read more

I love the location especially if you were going to a professional sports event, etc. Our room looked right at the score of an ongoing game into the baseball stadium and it was very cool. Very nice hotel with a view of SafeCo field and Centurylink. We stayed here for a Seahawks game and we're able to walk to the stadium. They do charge $29.99 for valet parking but it's cheaper than the parking for the game. It was a bit pricey but the rooftop pool and jacuzzi are nice. If your watching a Seahawks game I definitely recommend staying here! I forgot my phone charger but the front desk was able to charge my phone for me. read more

CENTURYLINK FIELD :-) She booked us three nights at the Silver Cloud Stadium property...absolutely an awesome experience! It's great for a quickie, get out of town vacay... we booked on hotwire so booked last minute and got a pretty good rate. I didn't realize that the hotel was actually staring into the stadium, but it made the evening pretty exciting when we were watching the fireworks from the soccer game from the rooftop hot tub. It was pretty busy on the roof as everyone else seemed to have the same idea. I was surprised to see how long the fireworks lasted for too! The view from the roof is pretty nice, you can see the water and pretty sunset. The hotel is nice and clean, the room a good size... the tv is LARGE, but we didn't turn it on once. We walked over to Pike Place in the evening which took about 20 minutes... but most of the stores were closed and there were a lot of questionable characters people hanging around. (Not too family friendly as we are travelling with a 2 year old.) When we wanted to get back to the hotel, we called the hotel's shuttle service and they picked us up in 5 minutes. One word: shuttle. Their complimentary shuttle service was really easy to use and fit my schedule fine. Even if you don't love being across from Safeco or Pyramid Brewing or having easy access to the ferry and international district,you can take the shuttle to the train, to Pike Place market, the Space Needle, and more. I got this hotel off priceline last minute because my flight was cancelled. Truly enjoyed it - very clean, large rooms equipped with coffee, fridge, and microwave; friendly staff; nice rooftop pool area. I imagine I will use it again if I am downtown for a conference. There was no game the night I stayed, which might have made it more frantic, but all in all, if you can get a good price, go for it. read more

You know... Had I paid "rack rate" for this hotel, I'd have been thoroughly saddened. Luckily, I did the priceline "name your own price" so the $79 a night rate was right in line with what this place is worth. The hotel itself is decent. It has a nice restaurant on the first floor, ample leather sofa's and a fireplace in the lobby. The desk staff at check in was courteous. The rooftop pool was small, but nice. That's about all the pro's I could think of for this place. As for the negatives, well, there are plenty. First off, the hotel is not located near anything at all if you don't have a car. Nothing. No stores or vending machines if you get snacky, it's about a lil over a mile to Pike's Place and you have to walk through Pioneer Square. That's ok during the day, however at night, Seattle's less fortunate seem to reside there. The hotel offers shuttle service, however you have to make reservations, which means you have to know exactly when you'd need a ride back to the hotel. Plus, due to a key malfunction, I had to stand in the hallway at 1 a.m. for a half hour because no one could get our room door open. Eventually, they just switched us rooms at 1 a.m. Talk about weird. Overall, for $79.00 it's ok, but for the $200 + a night rack rate, I'd say no way... There are much, much better hotels in the area for that price. read more

I landed on the Silver Cloud by accident, but I found it to have a silver lining. I booked the hotel through Hotwire, and Hotwire considers this hotel to be "Downtown-Pike Place," when anyone local will tell you it's more "Industrial/International District" than "Downtown." So Hotwire let me astray, but I was happy with the hotel once I got there. The location knocked it down a star for me, but it's probably a bonus for others. It might as well be part of Safeco Field, as it's directly across the street. My window was literally looking onto the entrance sign, and I think if stadium seats hadn't been in the way, I could have been hit by a ball coming from left field. The downside was that I wasn't there for the game, it was game night, so traffic wasn't fun. But back to the hotel... The room was stunning. It had a "masculine" feel, I thought, with rich brown and black tones to it. The bed was more than comfortable, the huge widescreen HD TV was a plus and there was free wifi. Subtle touches like the iPod-ready radio are always noticed and appreciated. I didn't really hear traffic or train noise to the degree that the other Yelpers did... I heard some game noise, but once the game ended, and things got dark, my room stayed quiet. One final note on the parking... Every hotel I've stayed at in Seattle of any repute in downtown or near the airport has charged from $14 to $25 for parking, so I was prepared to pay for the valet service. At least one hotel near the airport charges $16 for self-parking in a surface lot. Now THAT makes me want to scream. But while I hate paying for parking, at least at this particular hotel, it was a valet service that was timely and friendly. read more

If you are going to a Mariner's or Seahawks game, or if you are leaving early in the morning via AMTRAK, this hotel is in a fabulous location. Front desk was warm, friendly, helpful. Hotel restaurant was excellent. Room was full of light, great view of the ballpark. Desk volunteered that the room might be "noisy" and offered an interior room as alternate, but I'm hard of hearing so it was fine by me. This place is not cheap, but I felt I got my money's worth and then some. Several good restaurants in the area. I loved every minute of my stay there, just sorry it wasn't longer. read more

Follow-up to my review below: After my review was posted, I received an anonymous email from "reservations" @ the SC. Funny/unfair and deceptive - you decide: the accounting was dated 6/13 and was completely different from the accounting received at checkout on 6/5. Wow - really - a doctored after the fact accounting??!! I was hoping I could think better of the Silver Cloud's management. ___________________________________________________ We stayed here the weekend of the U2 concert. My wife made the reservation in March. At check-in I was told that my debit card would not be charged until check out. At check out I presented my credit card and it was charged and the account was paid. In full. The next day - Monday - the hotel charges my debit card even though I owed them nothing. It took them another day to credit my debit card. Of course by now, through no fault of my own, my account was overdrawn and I was hit with an overdraft fee. Bad enough, but then it got worse when I received an email from a member of the Silver Cloud's management. The email made clear that they were still missing the point and now trying to blame my bank, but they were just plain wrong on the facts. Rereading his email actually is pretty funny. He assumes my wife checked-in. Wrong. Tells me what I was told by the front desk at check-in. Wrong, again. Said that at check out the hotel reversed the card presented at check-in. Wrong, Strike Three. And he also misspells my wife's first and last name repeatedly -- both the subject and in the body of his email. Liberal use of the letter "e." If you stay here - dumb down your transaction as much as possible. Management is easily confused. read more
