Always a five star meal from this awesome food truck. I can see why they got Nampa's best food…read moretruck. Ben is a stellar chef and a master at his craft! He has blessed the treasure valley with amazing food and service. This food truck makes for a great lunch or dinner. Today's lunch consists of a side of fried rice, side veggies and some appetizers. The fried rice is so good! You can taste the garlic butter that's used to seasoned the rice. It's a great combination of buttery and savory. I love the minced up carrots and onions in the rice, it gives it great texture. The veggies are always cooked to perfection! I love the slight char the vegetables get from the hot grill. The zucchini and broccoli have a slight crunch to them and is not overcooked. The egg rolls were fried to a perfect golden brown. Crunchy and savory. The crab rangoons are my favorite! There's more than just cream cheese in the middle! You can taste the extra goodies in there, crab and green onion. The wrapping to cream cheese ratio is great! Paired with the sweet and sour sour, chef's kiss! It's always busy at the food truck. Everything is made fresh to order. Staff is always friendly. If you're ever in the area of Hiroyuki Hibachi, you should totally try it out!

Stopped in for a beer and these guys had their truck set-up...always love some Hibachi, usually…read more A few things...first off I don't know if I ordered right. I ordered the shrimp with noodles and some crab Rangoon...seems like too much but I've been biking, hungry! When I say I don't know if I ordered right it is really because of the lack of flavor...which is strange. The shrimp were great, hot off the flat top, fresh, nice shrimp taste! The rest of the food, bland...except for the noodles that had a burnt oil flavor from the metal flat top...not at all appealing...don't have to worry about eating too much. The Crab Rangoon were bad as well! All fried wonton, no filling...like dime-bag full! Very easy to fold these for some better presentation but I think then it would really accent the fact they were basically empty of fillings. Would not recommend! If I see them again I will double check how I order, or just try something else. Also charged $24, selected 20% tip and was charge $32? Tax, not sure but that's a lot I think. KT

El Cafetal Colombian Restaurant is a hidden gem of excellent and authentic Colombian food. My wife…read moreand I visited them recently, and the service impressed us. I ordered Bandeja Paisa, which comes with carne asada, red beans, chorizo, pork belly, egg, sweet plantains, and a small corn cake. It was a flavor ride in each bite. My wife ordered the carne asada, which was flavorful and well-seasoned. It came with a chimichurri sauce that made the dish come alive. Everybody raves about the authenticity and flavor of the food. Empanadas, tamales, and fried plantains stand out in particular. People also favored guava juice and unique drinks such as tamarillo and maracuya juices. Portions are large; platters can be shared. The place is warm, well-organized, and inviting, which makes me feel at home. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, providing a great dining experience. It is an unpretentious place, but the food and service at El Cafetal are great. If you are craving some authentic Colombian flavors, look no further. Definitely back soon!

We ordered for take out, and when I went in, I didn't see anyone besides two people at a table, wasn't greeted by anyone, despite waiting for a few minutes. I saw our order was up front so I confirmed it was ours and took it. The food was okay. My husband liked his stuffed arepas but I didn't particularly like the breaded chicken plate. I was thrown off by what seemed to be limited options, and although not necessary, a lot of Colombian restaurants in LA typically serve meals with rice and avocado, which wasn't what I saw here. It might've been a different experience if we had gone inside. I know they have a location inside the food hall in Boise, so if we are ever back in Idaho, we will give it a second shot.
