Had the most amazing experience with Silicon Valley Skydive. I came with a group of 9 and everything went smoothly, from instructions to landing. The instructors here have so much experience - they've jumped literally thousands of times - and are the kindest people. I was pretty nervous as it was my first time, but they made everything feel secure and fun at the same time. I'd recommend everyone to try skydiving, and to do it here - I would absolutely go back. Shoutout to Vitor and the rest of the team!

18k tandem jump.

Had my first tandem jump here. The staff was very nice and took care of me and my sister. Got us all set up hyped us up for our 18k jump. Sam was who I was hooked up to for the tandem and he was a chill dude. The whole experience was pleasent and definitely recommend going here. Heads up there is a bit of a wait time even if you show up to your appointment on time.

Pictures speaks a thousand words. What else can I say? Skydiving is life. Love the place!

Love the place and the skydiving experience. Picture attached is one of my highlights!

I'm super glad I chose this skydive center for my first skydive!!! I picked this place because I emailed them and they said they take up to 5 students per plane. I went with two other friends and we didn't need to split up, and two other friends who came to cheer us on were able to chill by the picnic tables nearby the drop zone. If you're tryna get the cash discount, they actually take Zelle on site, so no need to go to the bank and get cash from an ATM. Also, it's a little past where Apple Maps navigated me to - it's by a short white water tower, 200 yards past the aviation museum, and you'll see a sign that says "skydive." Shoutout to Ethan, the tandem instructor I was paired with who has been doing this for 3+ years and has made 760 jumps in that time (if I recall correctly lol) - he was so friendly and helpful, explained things and answered my questions in depth, and made my ride super fun! He even let me steer the parachute for a bit and turning felt so awesome. The landing was super smooth too. I felt safe the whole time - even tho they operate out of a couple of trailers and under some canopies, they all have experience and know what they are doing. Unlike a different drop zone with horror stories linked with it (cough cough Lodi), I made it out alive and completely unscathed :) The plane ride was a teensy bit uncomfortable with the somewhat lack of legroom but it didn't take away from the overall experience at all. I absolutely would come again - I purchased the photo and video option this time but next time I'll prob pass on it cause I was ugly af lmao. Also, they quote 3 hours / the full day even, but we were done within an hour and 45 minutes with p good conditions, not a cloud in the sky, and not super windy.

I wanted to learn how to skydive and this is the place to do it. I called and looked into other companies in the local area and they didn't seem too interested in teaching new skydivers. I found the great ppl at SSV, aka Skydive Hollister, and am so grateful that they are around. They are set up to take you from novice to stoked student, and they even enjoy teaching skydiving, go figure! The Tandem instructors and AFF instructors are amazing, kind, friendly, supportive, and love to teach. I took the AFF ground school on a Wednesday and the next several days got 5 out of my 7 AFF jumps in the following weekend. I have learned so much from my instructor Ronaldo and the others who are hanging out at the landing zone. The pace is just perfect, not too rushed and not too lax. The instructors are real teachers, they care about your progression and want you to be the safest and relaxed skydiver at each step of the process. There is soooooo much to learn, and they have in parsed in just the right amounts of progression to the just the right amounts of fun. They offer several packages, from the intro to skydiving via the Tandem jump, to getting your Class A license. All packages come with gear rental, packing, instruction, and plane tix. They have great coaches to help you along the way. I've met a half dozen in just the week I've been there. They have a killer office team/manifest agents who quickly schedule/take your money and organize the whole show. These guys rock and are available err day from 10am to 4pm. Really, who is open 7 days a week nowadays!!! I am stoked that I choose the Class A package and am looking forward to many more jumps with Skydive Silicon Valley. If you have ever wanted the experience of skydiving, this place is top notch in safety, friendliness, professionalism, and fun! ***My pro-tip would be to book your first jump with them in the later afternoon. You will have a sunset over the Pacific Ocean like you have never seen. You can thank me when you land with a huge smile on your face! Blue skies!

Our reservations were scheduled for 6/27/20. I was excited and nervous all at the same time. I had mix feelings about jumping from Hollister skydiving due to reading past/prior reviews. I had no knowledge Hollister was under new ownership until my BF called and spoke with Kailyn and Jake were more info was given on the new owners and also answered every question asked. (Great customer service BTW) 6/27/20 - Upon our arrival my anxiety and nerves seemed to slightly disappear once the place started to open up and became filled with friendly people. Everyone was more than amazing and very comforting. The atmosphere was more than great! My Instructor Vitor found me about 15 min prior to help get me ready in my harness and explain all the details of body positioning (Banana pose) during our jump. I became nervous again during our plane ride up. My Instructor Vitor was more comforting he had a great positive attitude and reassured me to relax and enjoy myself during the amazing experience I was about to experience. My BF jumped x2 and his kids also jumped and had a great experience. My fly down was so blissfully amazing! Vitor was my SUPERMAN yesterday! I can't explain how happy I am and how comfortable Hollister Skydive made my experience so Amazing! I'd definitely jump again and I would highly recommend Hollister Skydive to friends and family. Thank you Vitor and Staff for a great experience.

We had the most amazing, thrilling and a great experience with them. They have the best divers who will make you feel extremely comfortable at every step. To start off with, we were a party of 3 and we found them here on Yelp. My husband called them to find out about the options that would be the best for us. We went with 13k feet which comes with 1 minute of free fall. Although our free fall was roughly around 35-40 seconds it was still worth it. We also took the media option and you definitely need this to relive all the moments over and over again. Also a big shoutout to our divers who helped us create one of the best moments of our lives and who also kept us alive and safe. Gus, Lutchy and Michael you guys totally rock. From the time we signed the waiver till we left this place everyone were extremely helpful. Can't wait to come back and try the 18k feet.

It's the best experience ever. I bought the tandem skydive from Groupon. I always wanted to try it. And I am glad I did my first dive at Skydive Hollister. It was a bit of a drive coming from San Ramon. But the nice sunny weather made it easy. We arrived a few minutes before my 10am check-in time. I was convinxed to upgrade to a 11k dive from a 5k dive for a 10s extra freefall time for $50. Then I added another $99 for the photo and video package. For first time jumpers, I would recommend it. You never know if you're gonna get another chance to jump again :). From the moment I checked-in until I got my rendered videos and photos, it was smooth sailing. After filling in my waivers, I was channeled to get instructions and geared from my instructor Addie. She gave my hubby my parachute color so he know what to watch out for while waiting for me at the lnding zone. I was given aimple and clear instructions. I walked with the reat of the jumpers and instructors to the plane. I was very relaxed the entire time. It was not until they opened the door of the plane when we were bout 2k to 3k up in the air that I had a sudden sense of panic, while silently asking myself why I was doing it and reassuring myself (at the same time). Fortunately, I had no choice since I was already upd in the air while strapped to my instructor. So whether I liked it or not I was jumping. When it came to my turn, I was partially trying to pull myself back in the plane, while the instructor was scooting me to the edge for the jump. It all happened so fast. The next thing I knew I was already freefalling from the sky. It was awesome! I never felt such a rush and excitement in my life. I wished it lasted longer. By the time the shoot was pulled open, I realized that I never got to appreciate how grand and serene the view was around me. I never felt so much peace and appreciation of life while cruising up in the sky on a parachute. If not for the cost, I wouldn't mind doing this as a hobby!

Great experience here during Valentines's day with my boyfriend! This is my first time to skydive! I don't know how to describe the feelings! OMG?Amazing?People are nice here too! The girl who is working in the front desk showed me her video and told us her experience and the guy told us to scream then our lungs can breath (circulation) after jump off. My coach is super nice and comforting me when we were going up. I don't remember his name but I can feel he is super professional and I felt safe after I jump off. My boyfriend's coach is super cool too! My boyfriend has acrophobia but he did it finally! He told me he likes his coach and let him try different things at sky even though he was scared as hell. LOL Anyways!we had fun here! It deserves 5 stars!!!

If you're looking to buy a sky diving trip as a gift or for yourself, then I definitely recommend considering Hollister skydive. I bought my boyfriend this as his 25th birthday gift in November and they made the experience so easy going. I didn't have the money to pay for it at the time so they held the last spot for me for a few days. You should definitely look them up on group on, they usually have a good deal on there! My boyfriend loved the experience and was happy to cross it off of his bucket list.

Not too bad.

I came here with my friend and we literally booked a spontaneous skydive appointment. The nerves were definitely skyrocketing but I'm so glad I had a really good tandem partner that I could rely on. The front desk lady Paige was super chill, very nice, and she gladly took some pictures of us after our dive. If you come, make sure you bring a good jacket/hoodie with you or else it does get pretty cold all the way up in the air. You're going to put all your stuff away in a locker until after you land back on ground. I can honestly say that the scariest thing about this jump is probably once the door opens, but after that it feels like bliss as you're being carried by the wind. I thought I was gonna get that stomach drop feeling, but I didn't feel it at all which was weird! You literally don't feel the nerves as you're freefalling and it was amazing with the views. All I could focus on was trying to look okay for the camera aha Huuuuge shoutout to my tandem partner Petro Portela!!! He made me feel so comfortable from the flight up and to my jump down. And thank you for keeping me safe. That was wild and crazy fun. especially with the canopy spins in the air! Definitely a 10/10 experience in a lifetime and I would totally do that again in the future.

While I completely understand that weather and safety come first, the issue was how poorly everything was handled afterward. We traveled long distance, rented a car, adjusted schedules, and my visiting friend changed travel plans specifically for this experience. After the cancellations, we repeatedly tried contacting the team for updates and possible resolution. Whenever we called, we were simply told to send an email. The problem is that no one ever responds to the emails. I sent multiple follow-ups over several weeks and received no acknowledgment at all. They are also still holding my $100 payment and have not returned it or clearly communicated what the resolution will be. At minimum, customers deserve basic communication, especially after spending money and making travel arrangements. The lack of response made the entire experience frustrating and unprofessional. Very disappointing,

I love surpises, but hate that he doesn't tell me anything except "dress sporty!" :( I put on my stretchy pants and work out top thinking, he'll take me kayaking to Monterey since this is where we're heading. Oh boy. We took a detour to Hollister and I'm like, "are we going horseback riding? or riding a tractor? coz I ain't dressed for skydiving!!" When we arrived, I was so surprised to find that we are going to ride a GLIDER PLANE! :0 Have you seen these things? it weighs about 900 lbs. (super light!!), has long thin glider wings (hence the name) and can reach altitudes of about 4000ft. (HIGH) .... for a plane WITHOUT ANY ENGINES. That's right. Nada. So, how do you get up there in the blue yonder? You get hooked onto a tow plane by a thin piece of rope (I was doubtful, but it did the job!) once you reach a certain altitude as determined by the pilot, the rope gets cut off and then ... you plunge to your death!!! Kidding. We actually stayed in the air quite effortlessly. It got a bit bumpy and I felt nauseated for a bit since there wasn't enough fresh air in that small plane. The fiance and I were squished in the backseat with our legs stuffed in the smallest of spaces and his arm was wrapped around my shoulder because it was really TIGHT in there. Also, I think it would've been better if I wore shorts instead of my stretchy pants which was made of non-breathable material and it was 97 degrees in Hollister that day. Yikes. We circled around Fremont Peak, gazed at the fields below and stared in the distance at the blue waters of Moneterey. It was incredibly peaceful up there. The flight lasted for 40 mins and then safely landed. For an engineless plane and having small wheels, I was shocked at the smooth experience #mindblown. I always tell the fiance that experiences are the best gifts and this one is no different! :) So thankful that I got to experience a fantastic flight with my love! Also, I got my nice birthday dinner after and got to wear my fancy pants too.

There were 2 other attendees other than my boyfriend and myself, so our class was a total of 4 people, all of us beginners. One person had taken classes before, but was doing more lessons in order to get his hang 1 license. Mike starts the class by introducing himself and teaching us some safety lessons. We put together the hang glide together as a group, and he teaches us the different parts of the hang glide and how they work together. Then, we roll the glider up a small hill and he gives us some pointers on how to approach the lesson and what to do what we start running and once the glider starts taking off! The lesson was from about 8am to noon. Mike REALLY works for the money he makes during these lessons - he is running up and down the hill, and coordinating to make sure that everyone gets plenty of time on the hang glide. This is a really fun activity to do on a weekend morning, not to mention the VIEWS are amazing. Attaching some photos as proof!
