For my daughter's 14th birthday we wanted to do an escape room. We didn't realize that there was one right here in Morgan Hill. So it is upstairs, in the same building as Papa's place, just on other end. The door is off of Monterey Road in the middle of the building. This was our first escape room and was 5 of us doing it. I dont know how many rooms total there are per are. We sis the Haunted Cabin and made it through 3 rooms which was about 11 locks and puzzles. Some were very tricky. But we had one girl with us that was amazing with the combinations. Also we definitely needed a lot of hints along the way. The owner was amazing, gave us hints as we needed. We were able to talk to her while going through tying to find hints. We all had a blast doing this escape room. I will definitely come back to try the secret one and already recommended it to friends!

We did The Cabin. This was our first escape room. My bro, sis-in-law and nephew have done an Escape room in the past. It was for my nephew's birthday. My sis in law had the crew include something special with his name and picture . It was hilarious! Cute little touch to make him feel special. They even had a pic of him hanging in the room. We were all laughing at the article that they put in the room. Over all this was a fun family outing and we definitely would like to try another one. My 11 year old son said we should've picked a harder one. This was rated 3 out of 5 in terms of difficulty. We only used 1 out of 5 clues. Trick is to have multiple people working on different clues at the same time.

It was fun to walk into the waiting area and seeing a mural of NY, where I'm from!

We did the Cabin Escape room last night as an early bday celebration for our son. It was so awesome!!! Just like the reviews say, the cabin decorations are so cool. We all worked together as a team and escaped in 48 min with just 2 out of 5 clues used! The area you wait in is awesome too. The man who was working last night (i don't remember his name, but it was whoever was working Saturday night at 7:00pm) was really great and nice! We all had the best time and highly recommend this!!!

    Family Fun Sunday!

Parking at the park was free after 6pm and only took like 3 minutes to walk to the escape room. The GM was waiting to let us into the building and up the stairs. Long was our GM who explained the types of locks you might encounter, shouldn't take more than 2 fingers of touch to open, don't stand on furniture, etc. They had two bathrooms to use and also offered us hand sanitizer and gloves to use. Long did explain there may or may not be a live actor - part of the thrill factor in not knowing. We thought the room flowed well and we escaped with 6 mins left and only used one hint. I'm not a fan of spooky but this was fine since I had a friend with me. I actually thought this element was a nice touch to the whole pressure of escaping within the hour. The room wasn't lock heavy which is nice and had some unique puzzles. Atmosphere of the room added to the spookiness, especially the very dim lighting. One thing my friend and I did mention to the GM was their waiver form had the old name of the room still. Also unless we missed it but we felt like we didn't get an ending to the storyline. Hope they open another room so we can play that one too !

Sorry, I can't remember anyone else's names. Puzzles are both clear and challenging at times, the narrative is very interesting and provokes discussion both during and after, and the prospect of decisions affecting later Chapters is very interesting. One of the most engaging and interesting Escape Rooms I've ever done. Although you might find cheaper Escape Rooms out there, Off the Couch Games offers a more unique experience that I think definitely gives you plenty of entertainment for your dollar. I eagerly await Chapters 4 and on. Only room for improvement I can really say is signage. If you miss the banner and front door on your way into the parking lot, you may get confused, especially at night.

The staff does a really good job introducing you to the game, providing context, and giving an overview of the rules. Additionally, they mentioned that we'd receive a discount off our total based on how quickly we finished, which was extra encouragement for us to get through the game. You immediately get immersed into the game before even walking into the actual room and once you're in Occam's Apartment, it feels even more real. The room itself is well decorated, with nice details scattered around the apartment. I loved every minute of the escape room experience and felt challenged throughout the time we were there. We did ask for hints throughout our time there and the answers were often given through directional questions. What I liked most about the Off the Couch set up is that the escape rooms are all a continuation of a storyline, so it makes you feel invested in the experience. I'm looking forward to the next escape room!
