I couldn't have asked for a better first skydiving experience! Everyone on the staff was so friendly, welcoming, and explained every step. I did a tandem jump at 13,000 feet with Lee, it was so fun and I felt so great about it that I went again the same day! The second tandem jump at 13,000 feet was with Levi, who was my (amazing!) videographer originally, and he was equally as fun to jump with. I highly recommend getting their deluxe video + picture package, it is worth it and now I can look back on my first experience for a lifetime. Skydive California - June 14, 2025 First-time tandem jump (and lifetime moment) I can honestly say... this was one of the most freeing, exhilarating, and clarity-giving experiences of my life. From the moment we boarded the plane, I could feel the energy building--not just nerves, but anticipation. Levi, my tandem instructor (and my mom's best friend's son), was calm, professional, and real. He gave me all the cues... and before he could even say "smile," I was already smiling and shouting "YEAHHH!!" The entire crew created such a welcoming, supportive vibe--lots of high fives and fist bumps. I felt like I belonged in that sky. The fall itself? Unreal. We accidentally did a gainer out of the plane because I tilted back so hard (sorry Levi ). But that twist, that tumble--it made the whole world flip open. No fear, just pure presence. Watching the plane fade above us as we dropped into the sky was spiritual. Once the chute deployed, I actually found myself wanting to land faster--until the spinning and slow descent made me realize: this is the best part. Levi pointed out landmarks on the ground, and I stayed calm, breathing deep, taking it all in. I felt completely alive. I purchased the photo/video package and tipped my cameraman $20 because he earned it--captured the whole thing perfectly. The halo ring around the sun as we floated down? That was a sign. This is a well-run establishment. You got the sense it was well-organized and professional, from the office staff to the skydiving professionals. They also have a large area for skydiving, which I felt was great. My skydiving instructor, Justin, was awesome. He told he had had done about 10k jumps in 12 years. He was friendly and professional, and I felt I was in great hands (which allowed me to enjoy the experience more). They offer videography and photography purchase, which you absolutely must get. The photos are awesome, and most of us won't be skydiving every day. We did experience a long wait time of a couple hours, which I was told was not the norm. There was a delay due to bad weather. However, despite this holdup, it was still an awesome, memorable experience. I would absolutely recommend this place for those interested in trying skydiving, especially first-timers. read more

My friends and I did our first tandem skydive here and had an amazing experience! Our tandem instructors were Mark, Serg, Bernardo, and Ryan, and our videographers were Zack and Mattie. While on the plane ride up, Mark showed me that my harness was attached to his, and explained to me what to do while jumping out. Mattie did an amazing job capturing my first skydive, and the editor even put together a sick video, with slow-mos and music! Would highly recommend getting the video package. The biggest downside was that we were scheduled for 1pm, and we arrived at 12:45pm but didn't get to jump until around 3pm. The wait actually helped ease my nerves though, because I got to see a bunch of people jump successfully. read more

Incredible experience and for something so intense every step of this was insanely easy. The website, the booking, the payment, the group sharing, the check in, it was all as stress free as can be. Easy to find, plenty of parking, shaded area for family to join you if they want to watch. Every person there was pleasant, conversational, friendly, you name it-especially Sergey who was an AMAZING instructor. I couldn't have been referred to a better place for a first time jump. I wish I would have taken pictures but I was enjoying watching the other jumpers coming down on the big wooden patio chairs available under the awning. Truly an amazing experience. I have wanted to skydive for the last couple of years since my first attempt on my 50th birthday was rained out. I went here for a skydive and although I am afraid of heights, Tom was very friendly and helped me shake off the fear. The staff is knowledgeable about the entire process and I felt safe entire time. I was even allowed to control the seams and guide the parachute in different directions! The only caveat is that the start time takes much longer than estimated with an early morning star time, expect to be waiting around a lot for the actual time. The skydive was fairly quick and we landed safely as Tom helped brace the landing. Personal tip: don't eat or drink before the skydive and if you are more nauseous type, then an anti-nausea medicine may help. Unfortunately I threw up after the skydive :/ read more

My first time skydiving!!! Went to Skydive California in Tracy, CA. I live in San Francisco and the drive was an easy straight shot. The process was simple. Gear up, meet your skydiving trainer, learn the basics, hop on the plane, and jump! The ride up was 15 minutes roughly. We did the 13,000 feet drop. My guide was John D and my videographer was Ryan. They made the process very relaxing. John was absolutely hilarious and really made any existing nerves just go away. We did video and photos and both absolutely SERVED. The front desk rep also did a great job preparing me for the jump and talking me through what to wear and what weather to expect prior to coming. He really made it out to be a great weekend to jump in January and he was right! I LOVED everyone who worked there. Everyone was very experienced and stoked to get us up there. Best reviews I have found in NorCal! Literally could not find 1 bad review and it all makes sense why. John you made my first jump the best! I'll be back Thanks to everyone read more

Right from when I first arrived the staff that checked me in were so friendly and put me at ease. Ian was the person who took me on the skydive and he was amazing! So supportive and took the time to make sure I had everything I needed. If I ever do this again I will definitely ask to go with Ian again! And my videographer (I wish I could remember his name!) made the most incredible video of the entire experience. I've watched the video so many times, it's a great way to relive this incredible experience. He was also so friendly and helped to put me at ease. Sure I mentioned skydiving before as a bucket list item...but did I ever think I'd go through with it?! Not unless someone very dear to me surprised me with this gift on no other day than my birthday. Scared? Yes. Worried? For sure. Completely worth it? 100% As soon as we came to Skydiving Ca in the smaller town of Tracy, we were greeted and calmed by the most down to earth (no pun intended), knowledgeable, and informative staff. They set all our fears aside and instructed us on what to expect and how amazing our experience would be. And that it was! For two people on a Friday it cost around $180 each plus another 120 for one person's video and pictures taken throughout the thrill. Weekends are a bit more expensive so I recommend coming in on a weekday. Although it was an insane amount for such a short time, we will never forget this day thanks to the people and footage. I have dreamt of skydiving for over a decade and FINALLY, after always waiting on someone who bailed on me or chickening out myself, I found myself at Skydive California in Tracy. I just did a walk in and they got me situated rather quickly. The training was brief and really, the experience required so little effort on my part. My instructor/tandem partner was Tom and he was so great at settling my nerves during the whole experience. He urged me to loosen up and have fun. BLUF: All I can say is Yes Yes Yes! Whether you are an experienced jumper, a student, or just a curious tandemer, this is the place for you. After having done a tandem at Skydive Hollister, I did a little online shopping to find a good place to get my AFF so I could begin to start soloing. I was stuck between Skydive California and Bay Area Skydiving, but after seeing the reviews for Skydive California, I knew this was the place. I booked my AFF date with Aaron a week prior and we began our first class on Thursday and managed to finish by Saturday due to excellent weather. I paid for the total cost up front, $1,460, which included seven jumps and complete gear. By paying upfront, I got a free redo card in case I needed to redo a level or a free video session. Since I didn't have to use my redo card, I'm saving that free video for another day! Aaron was cool enough to also pay for my USPA membership since I had paid upfront. My instructor was Hiley who was the perfect combination of professional yet laid back. It took me a jump to realize that skydiving isn't a sport you can just muscle through. You have to relax. Hiley helped me gain the fundamental knowledge and feel confident to execute the skills and maneuvers in the air. The best thing about Skydive California is how organized it is. There are monitors in all buildings and the hanger with up to date manifests and timers to keep jumpers on track and they don't have an issue with double and triple booking tandems like Skydive Hollister did. I was confident to bring my friend to do a tandem and he felt comfortable with the introduction he was given. Plus the plethora of dogs running around is a bonus. Overall, definitely my go to drop zone from here on out and will be bringing as many friends as possible! read more
