The bartender was really sweet and attentive. We placed an order with her for food as well and sat outside while we waited. The view of the water upstairs is beautiful. You see the boats go by and wave. We ordered nachos, a burger, buffalo wings, and a club sandwich. (About $16-18 each). The food took about 10 to 15 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. The server was really nice and friendly. He chatted a bit with us and made sure everything was as ordered. I tried a little bit of everything and I will say, everything tasted great! The food was plentiful for the price. The buffalo wings were bigger than I expected. The club sandwich was huge and I got full with just half the order. The curly fries were made to perfection. I couldn't get enough of those. The inside has connect for, a pole table, and darts. They didn't have a central AC. They just had the windows open so it got pretty hot in there but overall we had a great time!

We decided to make it a finger-food feast, and every basket that hit the table looked better than the last. The onion rings arrived beautifully golden with a light, airy batter that shattered with every bite, accompanied by both ranch and barbecue sauces for dipping. The nachos were a showstopper. Built sky-high with seasoned ground beef, a generous blend of cheeses, fresh pico de gallo, jalapeños, olives, onions, sour cream, and guacamole, every chip was loaded with flavor. Where else can you drop your own sail boat in the water... I'm waiting... this place has been around since 1933 and I want it to be around for another 100 years. The only way that can happen is if more people start getting memberships here. There are about 20-40 slips available for people to part their boats and there are always boats for sale at minimal prices. As a member, you enjoy discounted liquor, sail boat charter, and meeting some of the most interesting people in Stockton. Come check it out if you ever get a chance. They host events for the public so please don't skip over this place. I hang out here often and can never get enough.

On G dock, one of the young boaters entertained outside guests from early evening to beyond midnight with extreme loud music and chattering. No security guards around. Check out your boat dock. It's annoying if you want to sleep and they are playing loud rap music beyond midnight.

I've been launching from Buckley Cove since I was in college. Back then it was with my best friend…read moreon her Dad's boat, now it's with the hubs (same exact model of boat I might add-same year too). The hubs and I decided to take a late evening ride on the river tonight....after all the crazies got off! Buckley Cove is open 24 hours and has a guard shack with a guard on duty. There's a nice park right on the water for picnicking, restroom facilities and an RV park too. It's owned by the city, conveniently located just 5-10 minutes from March Lane & Interstate 5 and is an easy tootle to the downtown waterfront or the Windmill Cove area. We had a few surprises tonight. A fireworks show to the north and later in the evening one to the south west. It was unexpected since tonight was the 3rd. We also relaxed on the water listening to the bullfrogs serenade us. Before pulling back into Buckley Cove, Bob asked if I'd like to go downtown. Sure. The Downtown Marina was almost full, a hip band was playing Tower of Power tunes from the patio of Chivita's and baby ducks were swimming in a row near the events center. We lingered to hear the band and then headed back to the cove. All in all a very nice 3rd of July evening. We thought it would be insane to be out on the river on the 4th of July since literally 5-6 thousand boats get on the river to watch either the downtown fireworks or the Barron Hilton fireworks every year....could you imagine trying to get "off" the water after the show is over?

The second rental was a 2022 Sun Tracker Party Barge 22 DLX. We had a great time on both occasions. They will hook up the trailer upon arrival and detach upon returning. The staff is friendly and informative. They go over all that you need to rent, operate, and transport your rental. Just bring back the rental clean and unbroken with the tank full and you will have a smooth experience. Pick up took about an hour and returing took about 20min. I will be coming back here when I need to rent another craft. I highly recommend this company.

I've had an ongoing issue with trying to get in touch with the marina manager--calls consistently…read morego unanswered during normal business hours, which has been incredibly frustrating when trying to handle basic questions or service needs. After several days of no response, I decided to go down to the office in person. To my surprise, I arrived during what should have been open office hours and saw the manager leaving with a man who seemed to also work at this Marina. They were gone for hours, and the office remained closed the entire time. I was told by a nice gentleman at the Marina that this is a normal occurrence for the two of them. This isn't just about poor communication--it's about accountability and professionalism. If you're managing a marina, customers and boat owners need to be able to rely on you being present, responsive, and focused on the job. Sadly, that hasn't been my experience here. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because this level of service is unacceptable, especially when people are entrusting you with their boats and time.

But piperpoint is quieter, greener, more peaceful and cheaper. You can walk to Rusty Porthole..no wifi..yet..but accross at rusty porthole you can get on theirs.
