Coyote Valley Sporting Clays in Morgan Hill is hands down my happy place. The drive out there is beautiful, and once you're on the course it feels like a little escape tucked into the hills. I love that it's set up almost golf course-esque, with a multitude of stations and even golf carts you can rent to ride around which makes the whole experience that much more fun. Each station has something different to offer: high throws, quick short ones, and even bouncing/rolling clays that always keep me on my toes! The staff is fantastic! very friendly and welcoming. They really made sure everyone was having a great time whether it was your first visit or your hundredth. Another thing I really appreciate is that they offer personalized private lessons by appointment and experience packages, which are perfect for brand-new shooters or even veteran shooters looking to sharpen their skills. It makes the place truly welcoming to everyone. For me, it's not just about shooting, it's the setting, the people, and the variety that make Coyote Valley Sporting Clays so special. Whenever I go, before I can even step foot off the property, I'm already planning my next visit.

Coyote Valley Sporting Clays is a beautiful range with friendly staff. Our instructor was Irene, who is a great teacher! Highly recommended! My rental gun was well maintained, clean and reliable. Plus there's golf carts to get around. Such a great day, already looking forward to going back.

I've been duck hunting for a few seasons and thought it was time to tune up my shot. Tom came highly recommended to me by one of the staff members and I'm very happy we worked together. From the beginning, Tom was very attentive and mindful of what was important to me to work on. After just a few lessons, I'm much more confident with my wing-shooting and determining lead. I plan on making my partnership with Tom long-term, especially before the start of duck season. Thanks, Tom!

Spent the afternoon at Coyote Valley Sporting Clays. It's a beautiful facility with tons to do! There are multiple stations to shoot at. Come check out the BBQ on the weekends. I recommend the Tri-tip and brisket sandwiches. I love the skeet, trap and sporting clay stations. Novice and Expert shooters alike will enjoy the courses offerings. Can't wait to come back.

Absolutely awesome experience! They had 18 different shooting stations. Each with something different from the rest. The grounds were clean and well kept. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have an outdoor area where they host group events (I'll have to look into booking something for our group in the future). For both my husband and I we spent $120'ish and that came with 3 boxes of ammo and the shot gun rental (we shared our shot gun). It was my first time and the attendant was awesome at showing me how to handle the weapon, to safely load it, and how to safely walk around with it. I'd definitely like to come back again.

I'm an avid sporting clay shooter. And i travel frequently for work. Its nice when i find a place to shoot sporting clays while traveling. I've shot coyote valley maybe ~5x. I really like it. But feels different. Feels more like a golf club\zoo compared to most gun clubs out east. The place is big with stellar views. I think there are ~20 stations. And there is a big loop walking path that takes you to all of the stations. Its ~1.25 hr from sfo 30 min from sjc. As you come in ,you drive into a canyon. Its cool it feels like you are in the wild west. You go left at the fork, don't hit any cattle. Theres a large parking lot that places you near the club house. Heres where it gets a little californiee, you have to walk around to the side of the club house, check in with a ranger, watch a safety video, and pledge your soul away. Then you have to be buzzed in to you a really nice club house that has all sorts of stuff to buy: snacks, drinks, ammo, gear, and T-shirts. In the club house is where can rent gun, buy ammo, and buy your birds. You pay per the bird. So no show pairs unless you pay for them. Its not cheap but worth it. And if you are renting a gun you have to buy their ammo. Ammo is more expensive in CA. Its a card system. All throwers have delays and work well. Each station has two or four different thrower, mostley two. Its cool because you shooting up a sandy mtn instead of shooting down a valley of trees like at home. I usually shoot the first 10-14 stations because i'm on some sort of time crunch. They do not have courses. They just give a blank score card after and then its a choose your own adventures to which station to shoot. Watch station ~5 where the bird shrapnel rains over you. Most people at the gun club are either with a guide or they are first timers. The staff does a great job explaining things. They are good ambassadors of shooting sports. The nice thing is you do not get an outsider feeling like at some old timey gun clubs. Net its a great experience. Beautiful gun club. Price can get steep, but how often do you get to shoot in california? Shoot straight and have fun!

Vary good place to go clay shooting, "I think it's a 100 round station range but don't quote me on that" they have golf carts you can rent with shotgun racks on them as well. Check in is easy as they have a table with DIY computer check in. Now I did not come here for the shot gun range, a couple of buddies and my self took a 4 hour private training corse, yup that's right the 3 of us got 4 hours with a private instructor on a separate range all to ourselves C; the range we used was vary cool, it had a western theme to it and reminded me of frontier village. if you can remember that place. See pictures. Ant way needless to say I had a great enjoyable day on the range.

I'm not a gun person. In fact, this was the first time I ever shot a gun in my life. It was a great first experience! The place is off the grid and at the end of a super long and bumpy road. We had a guided tour. They set you up with a shotgun, ammo, protective glasses, ear buds and more. A plus of having a guided tour is you don't have to wait at each station; you get to go before other people there on their own. Definitely challenging, but fun! Our guide was nice and taught us a lot. You're trained prior to going into the field for various challenges. There wasn't too much recoil and the gun wasn't too heavy. Both my mom (58 years old) and wife (small size) were able to handle the guns without incident.

    Tritip sandwich, VERY good!

He fixed my stance, my grip, my trigger squeeze, my sight picture and my breathing control. He taught me how fatiguing it can really be to send every round downrange, and more importantly, how to combat that fatigue. My groups went from 12" down to under 6" (at 7 yards) in under 2 hours and less than 200 rounds. I know with more practice and focus on Andrews techniques I can get that group even tighter. I've read the books and watched the videos, but nothing compares to the solid one on one instruction Andrew provides. I can't wait to follow up with his more advanced classes!

Bowen opened my eye and mind to things that were not brought up in my previous basic class. Some gun jams that I haven't heard of and some I have heard of,but haven't seen, and how to clear them . I learned a better stance and better grip that all just made sense. If you are new and serious on learning and improving don't pass an opportunity to get trained by Sgt. Bowen. I am excited to practice what I learned and to move on to tactical training to see what else I can learn and improve on. I also hope to continue to update this review as I work my way through other lessons.
