I've been here a couple of times, once as a seller and once as a buyer; both for PPT. It's not big store but very clean and tidy. The people don't give you trouble for doing PPT unlike Reed's. If I could give Manzano Munitions 10 stars, I absolutely would. I wanted to build a custom Sig Sauer P365 and from start to finish these guys made the entire experience outstanding. I had been to the shop before and was already impressed. The team are true gun enthusiasts, and they carry rifles and firearms I had only ever seen in magazines or YouTube videos. Not only do they have the knowledge and passion, but they've invested in bringing in top notch firearms, and the shop itself looks amazing. For my build I was very particular about what I wanted, and they were able to get everything I needed. Since I ordered over Labor Day weekend, I even scored a nice holiday discount. Just a few days later I got a call letting me know that everything had arrived. While they couldn't source the exact standard P365 (they had other variants available), they were totally fine with me buying it elsewhere. I told them if they had it in stock I would have gladly purchased it from them. I always prefer supporting a local shop over a big box retailer. Once everything was ready, I headed down to drop off my P365 for the build. I had been working with Alex throughout the process and he was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely enthusiastic. He mentioned it might take 3 to 4 days but he knew I was excited and would do his best to get it done sooner. I recently picked up a item from Manzano Munitions; I had purchased a serialized rifle part from an out-of-state business, and made arrangements to have it shipped to them for a fee-to-receive, where I completed the registration, paid CA sales & excise taxes, paid their fee, and finally picked up the item. My experience was very positive from start to finish. The employees I dealt with were very nice, knowledgeable, and professional. They are also automated, so no hand written invoices, and no handwriting the DROS registration forms, everything is very modern and electronic which greatly speeds up the process, as compared to other gun stores. Their shelves have lots of new, highly sought after choices, predominantly geared toward competitive shooters. That being said, they told me if they have access to it, and it's CA legal, they can quote it and order it for you. They have an updated website. They also provide training for which you can research and sign up for on their website. Parking lot is always more than half full so once you park it's such a different feel when you go inside. Sterilized and bright. Nice display of consignments and there's always someone willing to help. I ordered two items along with some accessories and it's really great that they can price match, saved me a half hour trip up. They are really quick on their background checks and I'm in and out in a few minutes if I know what I want which is the best part. Their 9mm ammo is the best pricing out of anywhere too, even online. Ffl fees are standard too and no frills. It's really nice that they have a bunch of employees that specialize in different aspects such as scopes or brand of scopes, types of barrels and usage for hunting, etc. They always pick up too. Their staff is pretty stand-offish and seem to think they are doing you a favor by talking to you or showing you their inventory. Really, what is the deal here? Giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because I haven't actually bought or sold anything with them yet. I'll update my review if/when I actually make a transaction. Located in one of the old retro legacy shopping plazas off the "car dealership row" part of Stevens Creek. Looks very nondescript from the outside but the interior of the store is very organized and modern looking, especially compared to the typical brick and mortar gun shops in the area. They deal mostly in more modern firearms and accessories. If you want the newest bleeding-edge handgun, shotgun, rifle or accessories and aftermarket parts for the same (to the extent allowed by CA state restrictions) then this is the place to go. Staff are professional and helpful. Zero attitude, answer questions concisely, honesty and correctly and move through transactions with equal parts due diligence and sense of urgency from what I've seen. Even if there's a line, you'll almost certainly get through it pretty quickly here. I would recommend checking them out at the very least if anything I've said above interests you. read more

I attempted to purchase a firearm from Manzano Munitions on April 15th 2025, a 22 pistol and ten boxes of 22LR 40GR ammunition so I could teach my son to shoot. Several days later I was notified that I didn't pass the background check and, as a result, was unable to take possession of the firearm, or the ammunition. Fair enough. That's not their fault. I'm in the process of figuring out why this happened, however, what happened next came as a shock. I was then informed by Manzano Munitions staff that their store's "all sales are final" policy meant I would not receive a refund for the purchase price of the firearm and ammunition, a total of $893.11, even though the items in question had never left the store. I was treated rudely by the staff member on the phone who insinuated I knew the outcome before I attempted the purchase. If this were true, why would I have prepaid for the firearm and ammo in full? I then asked, what if I had attempted to purchase one of their $4000 plus firearms instead? I was informed -that- money would be forfeit as well, and that there are no exceptions. I asked to speak to Kyle Manzano, the owner, who called later that day, and he told me the best he could do was a 50% (!) restocking fee for items that had never left his store, and he said he was being generous. Clearly this wasn't acceptable. I sent a certified, formal demand letter for the full amount minus DROS fees. I was ignored. I've since filed a complaint with the California Department of Justice. This review is meant to serve as a warning to other potential customers - if there's -any- chance at all that your purchase will be denied, think twice about shopping here, as you won't be able to get a refund, and, as a bonus, you'll be treated like a criminal by the staff. Update: After the small claims case concluded, the business characterized a conditional, partial refund offer as a policy "adjustment." For clarity, the offer required deletion of this review and did not reflect a change to the underlying no-refund policy. My review continues to reflect my actual experience. read more

This is going to be a long review, but I hope it can give any prospective customers a thorough understanding of what to expect when giving Manzano Munitions their business. TLDR, this business has, without a doubt, provided the most professional and pleasant experience on all levels of interaction with the sport/hobby (e.g. purchasing a firearm, asking questions about gear, and training). The only con is that they are becoming very popular and successful, which makes the in-store line longer than it used to be and it's harder to chop it up with these individuals without impeding their business. If you are a first-time buyer, I highly recommend you do some research or come in with a baseline understanding on the process of purchasing and owning a firearm. Purchasing a firearm is a unique process, and if you are familiar with California law, the nuances and restrictions of this state can make the experience frustrating and confusing. Fortunately, the staff at Manzano are extremely knowledgeable and approachable if you have questions. If you've gone to other shops, I (unfortunately) wouldn't be surprised if you've come across a negative experience or felt belittled when asking a valid question. It's refreshing to say the staff has a genuine interest in the customers' understanding of the process and the recommendations they provide truly cater to your needs. Specifically, they won't simply recommend buying the highest price firearm, but they will provide objective datapoints to inform your decision while also supplementing their feedback with personal experience as each staff member is proficient in the sport (I would recommend asking what the requirements are to be employed - "proficient" is a heavy understatement). Finally, their pricing is competitive, and it has been very convenient to have a local shop with a phenomenal inventory to supplement needs such as buying ammo or getting niche items that would normally be unavailable to the average consumer. If you are interested in training or furthering your knowledge/experience (whether it be for law enforcement or sport), this is where I give my real review as my experience with Manzano Munitions has been incomparable and absolutely amazing. After purchasing my first firearm years ago (at a different shop), I was always told to take classes, get training, etc. To be honest, I thought it was just a way to get money out of the customer as I felt I was decent at the sport (I would go the range at least once a week) and I couldn't shake the feeling most instructors were leveraging their experience in law enforcement/military to justify the price. I am very happy to be wrong (specifically about Manzano Munitions) and now I am hoping they create more classes as I've taken every class they have to offer. I have been in the sport for roughly 6 years but within months of being a member and taking their classes, I have gone from fumbling magazines to chasing Grand Master hit factors in the pistol matches they host (ok I'm not GM level by any means but I beat Kyle once - sorry, but a win is a win [please don't ask me about the other stages]). I would have never thought I would feel this confident in my proficiency at the sport, in both safety and performance aspects, and it is insane to think my training changed from solely focusing on getting the tightest groups at ranges to exploring holster work, conceal carry, competing in USPSA pistol matches and 2 gun matches, understanding low light scenarios, nailing targets 1000 yards away, and overall just feeling like a real life John Wick. As a disclaimer, I've been a member for 2 years. While juggling work/life, my cumulative time for training has only been a few months but the years of time/dedication I put in prior to encountering Manzano Munitions are frankly inferior to the knowledge/training provided by Kyle and his team. In summary, if you are new to the sport/hobby, Manzano Munitions is the clear winner in my head for feeling comfortable when asking questions and understanding the confusing and dynamic nature of firearms in California. If you are curious or want to know what it's like to take your current proficiency to the next level, I have no doubt that you will receive top tier information and training if you decide to become a member or take classes. After seeing the offerings from other instructors, I genuinely don't have any regrets as the environment/atmosphere is very approachable for all levels of experience and you get a lot of value for what you pay. Kyle, Jake, and team, you guys are doing an amazing job, and I hope you understand how much your work is appreciated. It has been an absolute pleasure to be a customer of Manzano Munitions and being a member/part of this community has been a standout experience in the recent years of my life. Gun shops have always seemed intimidating, but all the staff over at Manzano are extremly knowledgeable and happy to answer all sorts of questions. They aren't salesman, they are shooters trying to help, regardless of our skill levels. I was luckily enough to take their Pistol Match Efficiency class, Jake put together a solid class with an abundant amount of information and drills to get introduced to shooting at a pace that was productive in learning. I went back today to have a Holosun 507C mounted on the same slide, and once again they had handled it flawlessly.
