I was kicked out of the school because of this.... can someone explain why? After a CFI told me I wasn't going to be charged? Am I in the wrong? I'll wait.... LOL Do not TRUST what Sara or Jen says, they will RIP you off. Do you need a better example? lol My primary instructor, was out of town for a week so I scheduled a couple sessions with Sara to consistently fly in preparation for my upcoming Stage 1 Check. When I found out THE PRIMARY was back early, I reached out to Sara to switch schedules as I'm most comfortable with PRIMARY and my learning style has been very compatible with his approach. I reached out to Sara to see if she was okay with me switching back to PRIMARY, and avoiding any cancellation fees as I'd still be flying with my primary instructor (see attached). I clarified via text that if the cancellation charge was to remain, I would keep the existing flight time with Sara (to avoid fees). She confirmed there would be no charges (see attached)! Not only did I get charged for her time, they charged me for the plane rental as well as for the FUCKING HEADSET $247!!!! Completely understand that their time is valuable, but it's frustrating to see a charge continue once confirmed that it wouldn't be a charge. When I contacted the Owner about the matter, she KICKED ME OUT OF THE PROGRAM! WOOOW Talk about non professional at its finest.... You been warned! ;)

I only have great things to say about my experience at Aerodynamic Aviation: To start, the front office (Matt, Edgar, Rebecca) are super friendly and knowledgeable -- not to mention pilots themselves who are passionate about flying. The owners Josh / Jen are very approachable, they definitely make you feel like you're part of the family. The CFIs are dedicated to the student's success, and take pride in making themselves available to meet your personal goals. As a student pilot, I knew their goal wasn't simply to get me to pass my checkride and take my money, but to make me a great pilot. The A&P mechanics are super friendly as well! Multiple times I popped in the hanger while a cowling was off to ask questions about key systems. Any maintenance issue I ever experienced (minor usually -- e.g., flat or balding tire) were promptly resolved with a high degree of emphasis on pilot safety and appreciation for alerting the crew to the issue. The flight school and course curriculum averages 60-80hrs (not including lots homework) -- I started 10/15/20 and had my license on 3/16/21. Brian Engh was my primary instructor. Brian transformed my passion for flying into technical abilities and general aviation knowledge that keeps me itching for more -- including my next certification. Next up, I plan to take the Mountain Flying course with Brian Engh as I study up on my instrument rating. I strongly encourage anyone who's interested to take a discovery flight at AeroDynamic Aviation -- you will not regret it!!

Hands-down Aerodynamic aviation is a great school to get your pilot license, rent a plane, or have a bay tour. Great owners, front desk staff, awesome instructors, and maintenance folks. Also, one of the least expensive prices in the Bay Area. The school has a very positive dynamic always improving itself in all areas. Below, one can find more details. The school is a great fit for future Commercial Pilots who need 250 hours and don't want to pay through the nose for it. A global rule for receiving your pilot license: be prepared for these four items - correct estimations, money, time, and commitment. As for estimations, for the Private Pilot license, expect 90 plus hours here, any timeless is for those exceptional few. If 45-60 hours are within your time frame, I would go for the Sport license. The school is pretty strict and for good reasons, so they have some extra internal stages. If you have any concerns, contact the Chief Instructor Jen. She does a great job addressing any issue and cares a lot about the school. I would also recommend you find an instructor who is an enthusiast and loves flying on top of gaining hours for ATP.

*********************** 690 ************************** I want to learn something new each year, Spanish, I'm in class now! Parasaling, I did 8 times in Hawaii this year! I told myself can I move my resolution from 2013 to 2011, why not? I always love flying, with friends, or when I'm in commercial ghetto airplane, no service with full of smelly people! I got a rush, each time I get higher, skydiving gives me that; parasailing gives the highest rush, I guess because when I'm up high, everything was so quiet, peaceful, and the view is just to die for! & I just forget the world below me! So I came in AeroDynamic Aviation, met up with Carly, she's as student of aviation program, but she's not a flyer. She spent some time with me and explain a few pages of information. I felt like a bleach blonde (which my highlighted blonde must have taken me over!) #NoOffend please! She was so patient with me. Walking in I didn't know what to expect, but I left with a confident feeling that this is something I'm going to learn next. Sport license first, before any further! I'm so looking forward to my lessons this Fall. I'm going to be high on life with these flights, much needed hobby to de-stress my heavily wired non-stop worrying brain!!!! Plenty of aircraft choices, plenty of instrutors, plenty of students while I was there! AeroDynamic Aviation is going to be good! Can't wait!

I bought 2 Groupons for my husband and I to do a Bay area fly tour. We used the Groupon together which gave us about 3 hours flying time. AeroDynamic Aviation was very nice and open to our idea on where we want to go so we fly to Monterey, Santa Cruz, stop at Half Moon Bay for Happy Hour and then fly to SF for sunset and the back to San Jose. Very cool!! Our pilot is Daniel Most, a 26 years old young man who has been flying for 8 years and got many different type of flying license. He really LOVE to fly and we enjoy his company during the tour. From what he told us is that people who work there really LOVE what they do which is flying but you will be amazed how little they get paid. When we are ready to get our license, we will be back here.

A little selfie from the backseat, looks small from the outside, but quite roomy once you are inside!

The first thing the school did was try to shed any blame off themselves by suggesting/speculating intentional pilot actions. Their airplane that crashed, N5203H, was also previously totalled in 2016 but they kept flying it anyways. If you love life and care about your loved ones, I'd avoid this school. There are plenty of other schools that won't turn their back on you if you have an accident.

Understand that less than 20% of students actually achieve their PPL. The challenges are cost, availability of instructors and planes, weather, instructor objectives, personal availability, and other minor obstacles. Instruction quality can be both lacking or superior depending on who is teaching. If your goal is to get your PPL quickly, a flight school is a bad choice. Do some research before you decide. I didn't and I've spent over 4 years, $90K, and have had 5 instructors in pursuit of my PPL. If you're not in a rush and are just curious, it will work for you. It isn't easy and requires commitment. Get some guidance and explore the alternatives. Instructors have to complete your training and sign you off for your check ride. If they leave for better opportunities, you have to start over. At $300 and hour for rental and instructor cost, it gets expensive fast.
