The buffet is located inside of the virgin river casino. Food selection was not huge. It is ok but not great.

We really enjoyed this buffet! It isn't your fancy Caesars Palace or wicked Spoon buffet that you would get on the Las Vegas strip, but it is a nice decent buffet for the price. Kids are 50% off and kids 2 and under are free. For an adult price, it was $16 for the Sunday brunch, which goes from 10 AM to 2 PM. So, the price felt fair for what they served. We had to wait in the line when we arrived at 11 AM for the buffet, but it was only about 10 minutes. we noticed that the line got even longer and the restaurant was pretty full so there was people waiting for seating after 12 PM. Just beat the line. It was very clean, and the service were very friendly and clear the table quickly, and got you drinks fast. The bathroom was right across from the buffet, and it was also very clean. It was quite smoky to walk through to get to the buffet from the entrance, but the actual restaurant itself didn't smell bad. Parking wise it was easy to park, but there were a lot of cars so we had to walk. Food wise, they had a salad bar, fresh made stirfry noodles, omelette bar, soft serve ice cream, variety of desserts and fruit, breakfast foods, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, fish, biscuits, pizza, corn chowder soup--which was good! And meats. Thus, if you are in the area, I think it's worth the visit!

Chicken Cordon Bleu was okay

It has been a couple years since the last time I ate here , but came by on Wednesday after hiking Valley of Fire. The last time I came here they had Bbq and Fried Chicken , so I was hoping for the same. It was Home Style Cooking Night and it was like $16.00 , but I used my points and a $5 Food Voucher I had. I was sat down immediately and the restaurant was about half full. They took my drink order before I even sat down. I went up to the buffet and it was less choices than the last time I came. The only bbq they had was strips of tri tip in bbq sauce and I got 2 small pieces to try and I didn't care for them. They did have the Fried Chicken , so I got a big breast and it was so good and juicy and the breading was perfect. Mashed Potatoes with Turkey Gravy was spot on , they also had brown gravy. I was surprised there was no corn on the cob like last time. Chicken Cordon Bleu which I love was just okay , and a big Swedish Meatball that was just okay also. For desert I got the Hot Cherry Cobbler which was very good , a small taster of Fruit Cobbler which was like Pineapple and Apple maybe I didn't really like it I would have rathe had Peach Cobbler , and a small taster of Bread Pudding which was okay. They had Cookies , Pies , Cakes , and a Ice Cream machine also. They were good about coming by and giving me a refill of my Arnold Palmer also. They have a Steak Night , Seafood Night , and a Prime Rib and Crab Leg Night also. On the Carving Station they only had Turkey on my night. I would recommend coming here since the price is right and the food is decent. I wish they would have had the bbq like last time. The Pork Ribs were really good. I definitely recommend the Fried Chicken here , it's damn good.

Excellent lunch buffet. A variety of meats, pastas, and a great salad bar. Would definitely come back when in the area.

Full bar with service from the menu, several rooms with a few tables and where we were seated th back room with a nice booth. We split the Crab cakes they were very nice cooked golden brown and a good amount of crabmeat. Then we had the table side Ceaser salad. Our waiter Carlos did a great job and it was delicious. Carlos and our busboy ( sorry I forgot his name )were very attentive without being rude or annoying and made a great team . The dear wife had Veal piccata and mashed potatoes as a side, it was very tasty. I had the Utah Wagu filet special with two shrimp scampi, grilled carrots and broccolini , I got a side of baked potato fully loaded. We had wanted to get dessert but we both were way too full. So now we have a reason to return on our way back through town.

Last night we wanted to celebrate and decided to go to the Lounge in Katherine's to enjoy a nice cocktail for a celebratory toast and have a small bite to eat as we weren't in the mood for a large meal. The bartender was very welcoming and our drinks were quite good. We ordered the Katherine's Burger, the French Dip Sliders and also the lobster bisque as I heard it was very good. The bartender specifically asked if I wanted the bisque first so I know that he heard my order correctly, but a waiter brought me French Onion instead. I told him it wasn't my order and I had ordered the bisque but he just kind of looked at me without saying anything or offering to bring me the correct soup. Since we were there mostly to enjoy a nice drink and I was sort of torn between ordering the French onion anyway, I told him it was fine and I would just eat that instead because I was quite hungry. But after trying the soup, it was not very good at all so I asked the bartender if I could just get the bisque I had ordered instead. The bisque came along with the rest of our order but was cold. The flavor was good though despite the temperature so I ate it. My husband's Katherine's burger was just ok, nothing special but my french dip sliders were very disappointing. Good flavor (especially the grilled onions) but just a dry pile of meat, onions and cheese on a dry bun. No horseradish aioli as the menu stated and nothing to dip it in. I ate one and brought the rest home. I was quite excited to give Katherine's a try but it was so disappointing that I doubt we will return. We should have just stuck with the drinks and skipped the expensive and huge letdown on the food.

The service was phenomenal and the food temperatures were just perfect. All those we ordered. Everyone's order was different so we could share some of our food. The servings are mostly for a single serving. What was outstanding Ceviche (we ordered the fish 3 flavors) Octopus (best I've ever had - very tender) Shrimp & Steak Big Plate (we chose fried rice) The extra orders of plantain (we can't get enough of) Chicken fried rice (scrumptious) Grilled beef heart (also delicious) Seafood rice like paella was devoured by the group as well. Bathroom as mentioned by another reviewer was very clean. The place itself was minimally decorated but it was just perfect. When the weather gets cooler they can accommodate more people outside but currently it's just very warm. Parking is ample especially on a weekend when all the offices around them are closed. Come and try them when you are in Mesquite - passing by or just make it your meal stop and you won't be sorry. I would've love to take pictures but we were all very hungry so we devoured everything as it hit our table!!!! Yum yum

Nobody is going to have lunch at 1pm then dinner 2-1/2 hours later. Open at 11am like literally every other restaurant on the planet, close from 3pm to 5pm, then reopen for dinner. It would also be helpful if they had a real website instead of a Square website where people could actually see a menu and learn more about the business. The restaurant business is hard enough without making it more difficult for your potential customers to know what you offer. The reviews are good for this place, so I'm fairly confident it's legit. I can only imagine how successful this place could be if it was set up properly.

Why not give the customer a choice if you don't use traditional red sauce. My recommendation is avoid this place!
