We had a 5pm reservation and arrived 20 minutes early due to Uber. The receptionist was great and they took us right in . This is definitely a good old style steakhouse. Full bar with service from the menu, several rooms with a few tables and where we were seated th back room with a nice booth. We split the Crab cakes they were very nice cooked golden brown and a good amount of crabmeat. Then we had the table side Ceaser salad. Our waiter Carlos did a great job and it was delicious. Carlos and our busboy ( sorry I forgot his name )were very attentive without being rude or annoying and made a great team . The dear wife had Veal piccata and mashed potatoes as a side, it was very tasty. I had the Utah Wagu filet special with two shrimp scampi, grilled carrots and broccolini , I got a side of baked potato fully loaded. We had wanted to get dessert but we both were way too full. We have been coming to Casablanca off and on for over 20 years. Currently in the process of relocating to Mesquite so we've found ourselves staying there a few times a month for the last 6 months or so. Last night we wanted to celebrate and decided to go to the Lounge in Katherine's to enjoy a nice cocktail for a celebratory toast and have a small bite to eat as we weren't in the mood for a large meal. The bartender was very welcoming and our drinks were quite good. We ordered the Katherine's Burger, the French Dip Sliders and also the lobster bisque as I heard it was very good. The bartender specifically asked if I wanted the bisque first so I know that he heard my order correctly, but a waiter brought me French Onion instead. I told him it wasn't my order and I had ordered the bisque but he just kind of looked at me without saying anything or offering to bring me the correct soup. Since we were there mostly to enjoy a nice drink and I was sort of torn between ordering the French onion anyway, I told him it was fine and I would just eat that instead because I was quite hungry. But after trying the soup, it was not very good at all so I asked the bartender if I could just get the bisque I had ordered instead. The bisque came along with the rest of our order but was cold. The flavor was good though despite the temperature so I ate it. My husband's Katherine's burger was just ok, nothing special but my french dip sliders were very disappointing. Good flavor (especially the grilled onions) but just a dry pile of meat, onions and cheese on a dry bun. No horseradish aioli as the menu stated and nothing to dip it in. I ate one and brought the rest home. I was quite excited to give Katherine's a try but it was so disappointing that I doubt we will return. We should have just stuck with the drinks and skipped the expensive and huge letdown on the food. read more

Seriously one of the best restaurants I have been to. Hands down the best service, attention to detail, and food. You cannot go wrong with any dish you order from appetizers to entree to table side entertainment. The table side Cesar salad is a must as well as the crab legs. The ambiance is classy with white table cloths but you can also dress casual and they won't turn you away. Plenty of casino parking with valet options. Parking is free unless you valet of course. We had a very nice dinner here, not as great as last visit though. We went later in the evening, at 8:30pm. Our server although nice was in the weeds the whole time. You can tell he was super busy handling a busy section. He took our order for wine and cocktails and appetizers then took our menus before we ordered our meals. We knew what we wanted so didn't say anything. When he passed by us we could see he realized he had not took our entree order yet, and took it then. We are all in the industry so no big deal, we understand getting slammed. Food all came out timely. I had ordered one of the "Steak Enhancements" (Chimichurri) for my Wagyu Filet Mignon. I didn't realize until after the food was served that they had not brought it. It took about 7 minutes to get a bussers attention to find out they were out of it. They didn't know that when I ordered? Or could have told me when they put in the order? My steak was good. My BF enjoyed his Halibut and brother enjoyed the Veal Parm. The French Onion Soup was delicious and so was the Sautéed Mushrooms. The Creamed Spinach had good flavor but it was so watery. We didn't really eat it, it didn't look appetizing to me. Made sense because earlier I had heard the table next to us say something about "spinach soup" they must have ordered it too. There were several large parties, so it was a little louder than usual but a good upbeat vibe. We still had a very enjoyable meal despite the little challenges. This is a lounge review. Sometimes you want something a little nicer than standard fare, but don't want to do a full blown steak dinner. The lounge menu now has what you are looking for. We got seated at a nice table near the back of the lounge..very pretty in there. They brought a bread basket which was nice. We ordered a half bottle of Cabernet and split it. This was a very good price for a half bottle. We both ordered the French dip sliders. I kept the onions on mine and hub had his removed along with the horseradish sauce because he is not a fan. The food came out very hot and it was amazing! The horseradish on the side was clearly house made, and tasted wonderful. The sliders came with garlic fries and these were great too. I will definitely be back to try some other things like the ahi nachos or the shrimp. If looking for a lite bite...this place is for you! read more

Several of my coworkers told me that they ate here and it was good, but I'm not gonna lie. I was very disappointed. The steak was mediocre and I added what I thought was going to be lump crab meat for an extra $35 on top of the steak and it was literally one little strip of Alaskan crab leg. That was the most expensive 3 inch long piece of crab meat that I have ever eaten and I'm from the eastern shore Maryland. I would have to say the best part of the meal was the asparagus and that's sad when you go to a steakhouse and that's the best part of the meal. Katherine's Steakhouse is definitely one of the nicer places for a sit down meal in Mesquite, NV. The decor and ambiance is really nice. The staff is very nice and they now have live music after 7pm. We had not been in many years, so we were excited for a nice diner out. Perhaps what we ordered just wasn't on point this time. They start you will a nice basket of rolls - I loved the raisin rolls! The wedge salad was great. The lobster bisque had a generous portion of lobster meat, but the flavor was just okay. The Maryland Crab Cakes had a fair amount of filler in them; they tasted oily- we didn't finish them. The Bacon Wrapped Scallops were really good - a definite repeat! The Steamed Asparagus with Hollandaise sauce was good! The creamed corn was not to our liking - while we didn't send it back, we took one bite and didn't touch it after that. The Filet Mignon was average - nothing to rave about. The Ribeye was also just average; the crab meat was wonderful. Hoping for a stronger finish - for Deserts they have a good size menu, with both Cherries Jubilee and Bananas Foster. However, since we had ordered so much food we opted for Crème Brûlée and Tiramisu instead. The Crème Brûlée had an overwhelming Vanilla flavor to it - didn't finish it. The Tiramisu was quite good though. While our meal was not what we're used to, keep in mind the very reasonable prices for what Katherine's offers. For the menu items offered, we would normally have expected the prices to be a lot higher. The service couldn't have been much better - the staff does an amazing job! If we go back, we would definitely avoid several items that we had ordered - which is a change from our normal habits. What did you guys do? I used to love this place because the food is amazing or it was... I used to drive from Vegas for the chicken marsala wasn't good it was tough and the sauce was too pasty. The service too took a nose dive from the old days. I ordered bread when my food came I'm still waiting for it and I'm on my way home. The ambience was half the reason I would come here. Since the remodeling I can't hear myself think.. they put up large TV screens in the bar and turned it into a place with all the charm of a Buffalo Wild Wings. It's not a stretch to say that Katherine's may be the best restaurant in Mesquite, NV. I know the town only has a population of 20k or so, but that doesn't take away from the quality of this place. It was my first time at the Casablanca Resort and Casino and was pleasantly surprised to find such a nice option for dinner after an enjoyable round of golf. The atmosphere feels lively and upscale, and the live music added a fun touch to the ambiance. The place was packed on a Saturday night, which tells me that people who come to Mesquite, know about this place. I started with some fried calamari, which was battered lightly and came mixed with some chopped pepperoncini peppers. The rib eye steak I ordered medium came out cooked just right and was delicious. The best part, however, was the bill. I normally expect to spend an arm and a leg at any steakhouse, but I was impressed with how reasonable the prices were. The exact same meal of this caliber would have easily cost double in LA or Las Vegas. So I have absolutely no complaints about this place. The food is high quality, the atmosphere is fun and the service is about as friendly as you can get. Katherine's is fantastic. For the past 10 or so years, my buddies and I spend the night at the Casablanca on our way back to California from a Colorado hunting trip. The first time we ate at Catherine's, we all had solid steaks and wedge salads. The next year when we went to order steaks, the waiter said, you will remember our steaks for a day, you'll remember our seafood for a week, but you will remember our cioppino for a lifetime. From then on, all we eat at Catherine's is their wedge salad and cioppino. The broth is good, but the seafood is incredible and extremely filling. The lobster tail alone would cost more than the price of the cioppino. Plus they give you some giant shrimps, giant scallops, and plenty of muscles, clams, and squid. The service is also extremely attentive and fantastic. I always recommend Katherine's to anyone going to, or passing through Mesquite. read more

Here in Mesquite for a football tournament. Small town, so not to many choices of great food, but we found an old school feeling steakhouse inside of one of the casinos (Casablanca). Service was exceptional, but I wouldn't except any less from steakhouse like this. Someone was cleaning, someone was serving....someone was constantly around. It was a busy Friday night, but everybody was on par. The first thing that we found so interesting was their menus. They light up! We didn't have to use our reading glasses! Appetizer: Half dozen oysters, Lobster Bisque and Maryland Crab Cakes Dinner: 12 oz. Prime Rib, Rib eye and filet mignon 12 oz. (all medium rare) Everything we had was presented in an appealing manner or tasted superb! No complaints here....we were well fed for the night! No room for dessert. Looks like they have several "table side" presentations like bananas foster, cafe diablo, grand mariner souffle and cherries jubliee, but we couldn't find room. We've been going there for a few years and always enjoyed it but lately it seems like the quality is declining. We used to give you a nice little plate of cheese and olives that went away now they're bringing you a little basket of bread in. It seems like it come straight out of one of those Hawaiian dinner roll packages and then tonight we ordered these $42 salmon plate and the salmon was mushy the zucchini thin strips were floating in oil or butter. After celebrating anniversaries, birthdays and just wanting a great dinner for the past 25 years, we had our last meal Christmas Day 2025. The food was terrible for the $200.00 ticket we reluctantly paid. My wife ordered her usual Tomato Mozzarella appetizer. Stated BEEFSATEAK TOMATOS were tasteless and hard. Her 8oz fillet was over cooked and included just enough grizzle to ruin the texture, taste and meal. Served with a batch of store-bought frozen onion rings, cold hard carrots and broccolini closed the deal for us. I will not talk about the disgusting meal I was served. So, if you can't get to St. George by early evening... stop in Mesquite and have nice dinner at Katherine's. OR... if you just want a weekend getaway from Vegas... head to Mesquite, play some golf and hit up Katherine's for an old school steak dinner. What's Great?! A lot of things... one... the ambiance.... two .... the prices are not stupid... and three... the dishes prepped tableside. I like the feel of the place. It's not stuffy, but is white tablecloth nice and has low lighting so it feels intimate. Service is really good and the server that does the tableside prep is fun. We ordered the Flaming Spinach Salad. The flaming part is actually the dressing that is made tableside and then the salad is dressed while the dressing is still flaming. So Cool! And Yummy. The dressing was a bit too sweet for us but I think it's because they put like a cup of brown sugar in the mix. Next time we'll ask for only 1/2 that. Our mains were solid... big portions too. I had the veal oscar where the crab was in big, long chunks like it was pulled straight from the leg which is better than it all minced on top. Husband had the NY steak which was a large section of moo. So, be hungry if you order it. We also ordered the mushrooms side which is Great! I love mushrooms so I loved it. Wine list... it's not a huge list but what they have is a good variety of wines at very reasonable price points. Overall.... This used to be my favorite steakhouse (I've been to ~a hundred around the country). Casablanca seems hellbent on ruining everything and now Katherine's is another victim. 1 - Months ago you could get an 8oz filet with a lobster tail for $110 ($45+65). Now it's labeled as "Market Price" and came in at $149. Insane. 2 - Bread service was an amazing assortment of delicious breads. Now? Boring flavorless dry crumbly dinner rolls. 3 - The last two times I had the filet (medium rare) it was a dry and gritty texture which in my opinion suggests it's either old or their steaks are being frozen/thawed, neither of which is acceptable for a good steakhouse. 4 - They removed the Crab Oscar enhancement. I've never been to a nice steakhouse that doesn't have a Crab Oscar. Ever. If you want it you need to pay for their new "Filet Oscar" for $80. My guess is whoever was tasked with cutting corners thought "Gee, no one will notice if we only offer an Oscar on our smallest cut! Cha-ching!" 5 - The sides are suspiciously still $9. Then they arrive at the table and you find out why. The mashed potatoes that used to be able to serve 3+ people with leftovers now looks like a personal side for 1, maybe 2 people. You can get a 10lb bag of russets for like what, $5? And you're skimping on mashed potatoes? Really? I have second hand embarrassment for Katherine's at this point. 6 - No corn/creamed corn side anymore. Again, what steakhouse in their right mind doesn't have this? 7 - Their best dessert was the "Molten chocolate lava cake". False advertising now. There's nothing "Molten" or "Lava" about it. It used to be gooey dark chocolate salty/sweet deliciousness. Now it's like the most worthless tiny little solid brownie cake thing that honestly tastes like they pulled it out of the Wal-Mart frozen desserts section. Anyway, congrats on the new changes. I won't be back. And in my opinion with what seems like ultra-tight slots that never pay anymore, I'll gleefully say goodbye to "Legend" status next year, too. read more

We used Casa Blanca as stop on our road trip. We were starving by the time we checked in that evening. We had a late reservation but were able to be seated early in the bar area. The hostess was friendly and greeted us with a smile. Our waitress Emily was very busy and was working her rear end off. She was amazing. She checked on us frequently and always made sure we had what we needed. We both ordered the filet Mignon and it was probably one of the best steaks we have ever had. Mood- Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover When is the last time you looked at someone and automatically assumed their economic status? Was it because of their clothing, their hair style, maybe their hands weren't as clean as you would like. Oil stains IYKYK. Here in Vegas we have a trough ton of blue collar workers that are well over 6 figures easily. You'd never know. Yes they may have oil under their nails with stained hands, and wear their Michael Meyers jump suits- but did you check out their steel toes. Could be Cody James, Haix or a similar type. My purpose for this, just because a person's outward appearance to you doesn't fit what you'd consider able to pay a bill, doesn't mean that person can't. Js I had to go to UT for some quick business errands. And decided I wanted steak for dinner on the way back into Vegas. I have never been to this casino but figured why not. I've seen the advertisements everywhere and it is always very appealing. Upon entering it was obvious this was truly a locals favorite so I figured this was a good choice. They didn't have seating available so opted to sit at the bar. If you know me, you know I don't really drink due to bad issues in the past. It was my party and another party after mine who opted for bar seating. We were all shown our seats. Menus were given. Now the party after me, their drink order was taken. Then finally mine. Opted for hot Tea and lemonade. Everyone up and down the bar was given complimentary bread and cheese. Mine came right before the main course was brought out. But not before the bar tender/ server asked if it was wanted. And no he didn't ask anyone else if they wanted it just my party. For reference, the bartender/server just put it on the bar top in front of each party that was seated. Never once asked any of them that question. Opted for the Porterhouse and New York, loaded potato, mashed Potatoes, and corn. Now once again everyone and I mean everyone food came out first. Then my party. Now I'm driving back to Vegas and the wait for the food was about 60 mins. So while the food was good, I couldn't stay long enough to really enjoy it. So opted to get it to go. The other party that came in after me opted for theirs to go as well. Guess who's food got tended to first. Now the coup de grais of this. When is the last time a server or bar tender handed you a check but read it out loud and looked at you for you to understand the cost? I don't know about you, but I'm always handed the check usually in a black small mini folder and they usually tell me take your time. This particular bar tender/ server handed out the other checks to the other patrons in the small black folder, not humiliating them. Js. This is where the don't judge a book by its cover comes to play. Yes my party may have just gotten off work and we all may be blue collar workers, but that doesn't mean we cant afford our meal. I can't recommend nor not recommend. Maybe I was here on the wrong day and truly the wrong time. Maybe if I chose to wait for seating it would have been a different experience. But I can stress this. My party was seated at the bar so it was not necessary to be dressed up. And majority of the people around us had on shorts and casual clothes.
