    Yum yum roll
    Sarah R.

Fantastic sushi rolls but be warned, the Eureka is insanely spicy. The sushi chef warned us that it was really spicy and I said good because we like spicy but holy crap! That little Thai chili chopped in there is no joke! The flavor was amazing and between the crunchy tempura and chili powder, it actually tasted like flaming hot cheetos. It was delicious despite my mouth being on fire. I wasn't so sure about ordering the Yum Yum roll at first because I've had other rolls with lemon slices and wasn't a fan but the other ingredients sounded so good, I just had to give it a try. So glad I did! The balance of that roll was spot on. The flavors, textures, everything. Just amazing. We'll definitely be back.

    Salmon roll and tuna roll.

Stopped to try this restaurant for lunch while waiting the traffic jam on the way to St. George, Utah. The restaurant was mostly empty but it took so long to get seated. Server didn't seem friendly and was not a pleasant experience service-wise. The decor of the restaurant is decent. We ordered some rolls (salmon, yellowtail and tuna). The sushi/roll cuts were tiny and the fish wasn't spectacular. Too pricy for the quality and the service you get. This place is only managing to get by because it's the only Japanese restaurant in this town. Would never recommend.

There were 4 people behind the reception table and that's good because there were piles of people inside! We were afraid we won't get a table fast because there were probably 30 people waiting both in and out. The receptionist asked if we're ok with sushi bar. We said yes and we were seated in 3 minutes, way ahead of everybody! There are 2 sections: habachi and sushi. We were of course seated at the sushi area. Our server's name was Star and she was lovely, highly attentive and efficient. We ordered sushi and yakisoba and everything was fresh and tasty! I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back next time we're in St George!

The reason for the one star review is the quality of the food. The food was bland and lacking seasoning except for the soup which tasted like you were putting salt directly on your tongue. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the next morning I woke up with severe food poisoning, and spent the whole day stuck in my hotel room sick. We've called the restaurant, left a voicemail, and wrote in. We have not heard back. While we were initially excited to try this restaurant after driving by it for years, we will not be returning, and won't recommend this venue to anyone. They seem to have more focus on branding and being flashy, rather than proper food handling.

Our server, Josh, was friendly, attentive and answered our questions. We had the Tempura Vegetables, Gyoza, the Highlander Roll and The Panda Roll. We also tried their potato salad. The Tempura Vegetables were the best I've had in a long time. There was the standard onion and sweet potato. We were pleasantly surprised by the green beans and thinly sliced acorn squash. All the vegetables were delicious and the panko was perfectly fried. You could tell everything from the oil they were fried in to the vegetables themselves were fresh. The gyoza were standard and what one would expect. The two rolls we enjoyed were tasty and the presentation was very clean. The Highlander had a little heat and good flavor. The Panda Roll was something new for us. The protein in the roll was Katsu Chicken. It was a fun change and I love Katsu Chicken. The house made potato salad definitely had Japanese flavors. It was an interesting change. Our server Josh was great! Very attentive and helpful. This was a great first time out to Yokoso. We'll be back! Two small criticisms, the print on the menus is quite small and they do not have Diet Coke. Other than those two small things we really enjoyed our visit. The restaurant business is challenging. We wish Yokoso great success!

This is definitely a no-frills, order at the counter and get your own utensils type of place. The food here tastes how I would imagine a Korean auntie would make at home. The dinner boxes are loaded with a little bit of everything, and they are incredibly priced at about $15-$20 depending on the protein for a huge amount of food! I tried the spicy pork bulgogi and the spicy chicken dinner boxes. The spicy pork definitely has a kick if you can't do spice. After the spicy pork bulgogi, the spicy chicken tasted pretty mild if you're looking for something less spicy. I truly enjoyed everything in the dinner box and would definitely get it again. The spicy pork bulgogi kimbap ($10) is also delicious if you're looking for something a little lighter, and the portion will have you pretty stuffed. I got both types of tteokbokki (rice cake) that they have. Both were delicious, but my favorite dish is the creamy tteokbokki. Think Korean carbonara--creamy, chewy, and indulgent. Both are $10 each and you can't go wrong with either one if you're in the mood for tteokbokki. During my last meal here, I told them how much I enjoyed the food and the nice auntie came out to say hello. She was so sweet and even gave me a free ice cream! You can tell this is a family run eatery made with lots of care and pride. Give them a try the next time you're looking for some casual Korean food!

Nearly everything, down to the sparkling water, is sourced from Japan. My favorite dish was the homemade tofu with bonito flakes, a seemingly simple course that showcased extraordinary depth and balance. I especially enjoyed the multi-phase presentation used throughout the meal. In several courses, guests are asked to taste the dish first in its pure form, then again after a complementary sauce is added. Experiencing the contrast between the two was both thoughtful and adventurous, highlighting how subtle changes can transform a dish entirely. Full bar with service from the menu, several rooms with a few tables and where we were seated th back room with a nice booth. Carlos and our busboy ( sorry I forgot his name )were very attentive without being rude or annoying and made a great team . The dear wife had Veal piccata and mashed potatoes as a side, it was very tasty. Last night we wanted to celebrate and decided to go to the Lounge in Katherine's to enjoy a nice cocktail for a celebratory toast and have a small bite to eat as we weren't in the mood for a large meal. The bartender was very welcoming and our drinks were quite good. We ordered the Katherine's Burger, the French Dip Sliders and also the lobster bisque as I heard it was very good. The bartender specifically asked if I wanted the bisque first so I know that he heard my order correctly, but a waiter brought me French Onion instead. I told him it wasn't my order and I had ordered the bisque but he just kind of looked at me without saying anything or offering to bring me the correct soup. Since we were there mostly to enjoy a nice drink and I was sort of torn between ordering the French onion anyway, I told him it was fine and I would just eat that instead because I was quite hungry. But after trying the soup, it was not very good at all so I asked the bartender if I could just get the bisque I had ordered instead. The bisque came along with the rest of our order but was cold. The flavor was good though despite the temperature so I ate it. My husband's Katherine's burger was just ok, nothing special but my french dip sliders were very disappointing. Good flavor (especially the grilled onions) but just a dry pile of meat, onions and cheese on a dry bun. No horseradish aioli as the menu stated and nothing to dip it in. I ate one and brought the rest home. I was quite excited to give Katherine's a try but it was so disappointing that I doubt we will return. We should have just stuck with the drinks and skipped the expensive and huge letdown on the food.
