We went up to Mesquite to visit a friend and this spot had no wait, so we decided to check it out. There's a reason it wasn't busy, as the staff was nice enough, but the food was "mid" at best. We ordered the carne asada breakfast burrito and it had maybe 8 pieces of steak in the whole thing. Tons of fluffy eggs, mid-level cheese. The green salsa was ok-not good, not bad. I also ordered a Nutella crepe, but it had bananas on it and I missed that in the key, so it was a no. My friend took it home for her kids. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, it just wasn't a good one.

    Cheese enchiladas

I'm adding a new review because the food has gone downhill quite significantly since my first time visiting cinnamon Café about a year and a half ago. I ordered the same thing every time I go, the cheese enchiladas (one with red sauce, one with green sauce). During my most recent experience, the beans (previously my favorite part of this meal) we're absolutely terrible. They tested like what I imagine cardboard taste like, they had a very strange smell and aftertaste. Whatever they used to use to season these was missing, and there was not even any salt. In addition, the enchiladas themselves were quite a bit smaller, and served COLD. The cheese was not melted either on top or inside. I did not get a new photo, so the photo listed below is from my previous experience. I did order these enchiladas on a Friday morning, so it may have been a different cook that normally just makes breakfast. But if the breakfast cook can't make everything on the menu, you should not offer everything on the menu. Absolutely terrible. This used to be our go-to place to take people when they were visiting, but we will not be back.

My friends and I enjoyed a birthday brunch today for eight and had excellent timely service and quality selections. The pumpkin pecan pancakes were delish with my crispy bacon and eggs. The Greek omelet with feta and spinach and hash browns was another tasty breakfast entree. This locally owned cafe is a gem! Nice modern vibe is a plus. Check it out.

Excellent! We had Huevos Rancheros and Chilaquiles, both were delish! We will definitely be back next time we're in Mesquite.

I great place for breakfast and way better than the casinos. Situated in a nice hotel near Virgin River Casino. I would recommend staying here as well. Great breakfast menu selection and quality. I'm a regular to Mesquite and locals like this place. Service was fine and place was clean. I will recommend this to others in the future. 5 Stars for being a place that satisfies that breakfast food desire.

Food was ok. $4.50 for black coffee might be pushing the envelope a bit. For that price, I'll take a small latte.

I honestly had thought this was more of a donut shop when driving by but it in fact did not have any! It's an open kitchen/bakery, so shop in the front but you can see what they are doing in the back. Not pictured (my fault!) were the bagel sandwiches made to order in which my party got two. I chose to have egg and bacon on a jalapeño bagel but there is also a plain and I believe sesame option. My kids got the macaroons and cake balls. We also got a cinnamon roll - I was sad it was not warmed for us but also I did not ask so that may be an option? It was soft and delicious however. And my dad snagged some day old oatmeal cookies on their 50% off rack. They had fresh bread loves ranging from $10-12 as well on their rack. They had some very good looking pastries however that we did not get. Puff pastry and cream swan and sweet empanadas filled with raisin and blueberries respectively. When passing through Mesquite in the future I'll be sure to stop in again

The sour cream and guacamole are in small cups so you can use what you want. You have a choice of toast. I got rye toast. Butter for the toast is served separately in small plastic containers for those who want dry toast. The omelette also comes with some hash browns. I was served coffee shortly after I was seated and it was refilled once and I was asked about a second refill. It was a wonderful breakfast and made my drive to Mesquite a tasty place. They replaced the meal, but that should never have made it out of the kitchen. On my most recent visit, I ordered a roast beef sandwich. The meat had a strange sticky texture, that I later noticed after 55% completed and later that day I developed severe stomach pain and digestive issues. I hadn't eaten anything else that day, so I was very concerned. To make matters worse, communication with several staff members was difficult because of the language barrier. I had trouble explaining my order and asking questions, which only added to the frustration. A restaurant that's built around the image of a classic American 1950s diner should deliver good food, good service, and clear communication with its customers. Unfortunately, my experiences have fallen well short of that. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements.
