I ordered from the machine out front and when I went to the front, Lon, called my name and handed me my cup immediately so I could go get my drink while I waited for my food. Felt like I needed to post a review warning any gluten free people away from here. I ordered a big bacon cheddar with no crispy onions and no bun specifically saying it was because I don't eat gluten. Then I got a burger with no bun but covered in crispy onions. I pointed out the error and the 2 front people were nice about it but then I watched the food prep person throw away only parts of my burger to make a new one... so when I got the "new" burger, it still had crispy onion pieces. I'm on a Roadtrip and I could tell this food person was already annoyed so I didn't bother saying anything again. Plus I only have an intolerance, not celiac. I just thought it was uncool. This is the worst Wendy's ever. We had a bad experience here previously but it had been a while so we thought we've give them another chance. Bad idea! The fries were stale and had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for hours, and both the burger and the chicken sandwich we ordered were terrible. The chicken was so flat and overcooked that at first I thought they'd given me a burger by mistake. Ugh. We will never eat here again. I was completely impressed by this particular establishment. Located inside the Flying J's they were clean and amazingly fast. We arrived at 1:20pm and ordered using their kiosk. We had never used one before so figured what the heck. Our order was ready in 3 minutes or less. I figured it was gonna be wrong, there was no way it could be ready that fast especially since we had customized our order. Wow ! Would someone please teach this crew some common sense manners at the very least . The place had one customer eating . I walked up to the menu sign under it are 2 registers . I looked at the menu for like 2 minutes while 4 people behind the counter watched me and only the one person that bagged 1 meal did anything at all . After I figured out what I wanted, I took turns looking at each employee standing their looking at me No one said anything or did anything at all . I felt like I was in the twilight zone . It was completely bazar. I said hello . Nothing . I waited and waited . I finally turned to leave and one lady said do you want to order . I said yes . She said are you ready . I said yes I have been ready. She she said well we only take orders right there . She pointed to a register about 4 feet over to my right and a guy that was about 10 feet away from me that looked me in the eye about 5 times . Not only was my order wrong but when i did receive the correct items i was missing bacon and a meat patty off my burger. Their Frost-a- chino" is just a iced coffee, dont be fooled! When traveling, we often get a half salad at Wendy's for lunch. They have a great selection and each one is delicious. This Wendy's has a self service machine to place your order. We could not find half salad on the menu so approached the cashier at the counter. She did not greet us or smile or even try to look pleasant. To our inquiry about half salads she curtly replied they were no longer on the menu. She was very unpleasant, unfriendly and rude in her interaction with us. She is not someone that establishment should have in a position to meet the public. The one star is for her. The food at Wendys is 5 star. I have gone to Wendy's several times. I have just started to use the app, but was not thrilled as it was very confusing. I ordered a single. with no pickle, med fries, drink & frosty. The app advised to go to the drive-thru and advise mobile order, which I did. The worker advised me that I would have to come inside to pick up my order. While waiting in line, with no way to get out of line, there was an extremely sow customer. By the time I got inside, which was several minutes, i was not in a good mood. The worker said that they did not have ability to do pick-up in drive-thru to which I questioned why their app stated to do so. She had no answer. In the additional 10 minutes it took to get home, my single & fries were cold & my frosty was half melted. My single also had pickles. This was not the first time, but the 3rd time. Above and beyond that, this particular Wendy's the drive through window girl yelled at me over my request for a drink carrier... then they still messed up my food. Overall the food was great, although this Wendy's lacks proper customer service. I understand that we all have bad days but this was just ridiculous! We couldn't even view the menu without having the cashier rush us. As he was taking our order he was just rushing our order, not being polite in the slightest. After we got our food we later returned for sauces as we were in the counter he just replied, "what do you want," all rudely and threw the sauces at my brother in law. Amazing! I got a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger around 9 or 10 pm. There was no one else there and seemed to be training someone. Meanwhile the manager Kayla was standing there watching her struggle. She watched the line get backed up and refused to help until we specifically asked for help. First, my order and food was correct and fresh, which I appreciated. My drive-thru orders are usually the same as well - correct and fresh. However, the dining area is a disaster! Out of the two Coke machines, one is fully stocked with options. The tables are a mess! I had to wipe it down myself (no big deal, I also scan my groceries at the store). No ketchup in the dispensers. No forks available. The area is messy, it's just not good for our town. Management needs to be retrained or replaced. read more
