Yes, it's a Del Taco but the people working there are dependable, friendly and make the tacos neatly. I visit about twice a year because I need something quick, delicious and a clean restroom so I can continue with my drive. This location does not disappoint. They have a busy drive-thru but orders are handled in a timely matter. I enjoy the dining area outside if the weather is good. I also like how their taco sauce packets are provided on every interior table. My fave reason eating here is that they sub their fries with other menu side items and the order person knows what I am asking for. Also, pleasant location on a hill and right off and on the freeway. Best Del Taco experience we've ever had. Our family was coming back from Utah and stopped here for dinner at 9 pm. It was so clean, all the fresh ingredients were displayed in the fridges, the employees were super nice, the play place was awesome and air conditioned. Our kids got their energy out for the rest of the drive. The food was hot and fresh, the bathrooms and dining area was clean. They even had all the sauce packets organized in little holders on every table. And to top it all off the mini shakes were a hit. Seriously, raving fan over here. The Employee who was taking orders did not welcome me, the kitchen staff did not even acknowledge I was there, an employee who was "Off shift" was speaking Spanish to the poor girl who was working by herself preparing food. This place is nasty dirty. Bathrooms smell like piss has been spraid all over. No paper towels or toilet paper. Breakfast ended early. This is not a normal review for me. I very very rarely eat at fast food, but tonight I was craving something and had just finished shopping at the Walmart up the hill...it was late. Almost 11pm. As anyone in Mesquite knows...the town shuts down early. But Del Taco was open. I had not eaten at Del Taco for several years. I was pretty disappointed when I went in another state so I have just stayed away. But I have to say that this particular location...was so good. I ordered a #1 2 tacos and crinkle cut fries with a drink. The tacos were very good, fresh, lots of cheese which I LoVE and never get anywhere fast food...the fries were cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of salt. I had to get on and write something because I am not sure if it was the location, the management or the cooks...but it was a perfect meal at 11pm at night! Whoever was working Thursday February 11th at almost 11pm...thank you for restoring my faith in Del Taco...great job! read more

Normally I like Del Taco but my wife swung by last "Taco Tuesday" to grab some quick dinner for us. First was the ridiculous long wait to order because they were too busy playing grabass in the back, but when she arrived home 5 minutes away the entire order was a mess! Everything was cold, out of 15 tacos ordered, 13 of them were busted up as if they were sat on! I am not kidding what so ever!!! The seasoned meat was so greasy that half the tacos leaked through the taco shells and the wrappers. This was within 10 minutes of picking up the order and sitting down to eat at home. On top of this, almost all the tacos were paper thin, seriously lacking lettuce and cheese. The grilled chicken burritos we ordered were also lacking ingredients and cold. This place used to be fairly decent but they have permanently lost our business!!! read more

We ordered several breakfast combos (2 breakfast burrito of cheese and eggs and hashbrowns), and lots of tacos that were 3 for $1. Not particularly busy inside or in the drive thru, and service was very, very slow. We could have waited at an actual real Mexican restaurant for the amount of time it took to get our food. We only ordered 2 burritos (not even combo meals, so waiting on fresh fries or something wasn't the issue). The napkin dispenser was empty and saw that drink lids weren't stocked. They don't appear to be understaffed. Not particularly clean inside with dirty floors, play area and tables that needed trash cleared and to be wiped down. After rolling some 70 miles through the desert on the way to the bee hive state...when one gets hankering for some chow..DT is for the most part ALWAYS a safe bet. This location was no exception. Came in hard off the I-15, and after a round-a-bout...maybe two...memory escapes me. DT is on your right...regardless of what exit you get off of. The service was cool. I ordered up a chicken quesadilla....not bad for me...I used to spend almost $20 bucks alone on chow. The GF ordered turkey tacos. One soft...one hard. Means nothing! As we rolled out to I-15, passing one or two round-a-bouts, I found my glorious cheese laden tortilla with chucks of pollo to be everything that I have come to expect from my favorite one stop, on the road Mexican shop. We are driving from WI to CA with two small kids. This place was perfect! We ordered street tacos, which I would HIGHLY recommend, chicken burritos, fries, and THE del taco. OUR 5-y-o ate the del taco so quickly, I didn't even see it first. LOL the burritos weren't awful, but nothing special either. The ladies bathroom smelled fierce (in a bad way), but had just been cleaned. That's really my only complaint. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a play area for the kids! And cute outdoor seating if you'd like to eat outside. The staff was friendly. Overall deserving of the five stars. read more

Ok I generally don't want to give a bad review most of the time, but I felt that I needed to explain why I don't eat at del taco any longer. My sister and I went through the drive through and ordered 3 chili cheese fries for her, my self and our friend in the back seat. We paid for our food and were handed out bags. I pulled out of the drive through and my sister opened the bag to grab her food. As she grabbed her food out of the bag it went all over her due to the package not being closed and being placed in the bag at an angle. Her hot chili cheese fries spilt all over her and my car. This didn't bother me as much as what happens about 2 minutes later. My friend was eating her fries and from the back seat I heard "What is this?!?" To which my friend pulled a thick long piece of an identifiable something. At this point I went back in to speak to the manager. When I walked in the persons behind the counter looked at me like I was crazy. I asked to speak to the manager and the guy behind the counter just said "what?" No "how can I help you" or "what seems to be the problem" i had the food with the mystery leavings in my and and showed him by picking it up with the fork. He reached out and grabbed it with his bare hands and looked at it for a moment before saying "oh it's just some fat from the steak". Then I told him about the poorly stacked bagging and he simply said "I put those fries together my self" what that says to me is "I don't believe you" I rebutted with "would you like to walk to my car and view the mess?" He looked dumbfounded. He then quickly said. "I guess I can refund you for one of your fries" This is one of the worst customer service I've had. My first total was ~$20 after he refunded me for one fry my total was about $17 I will not eat here again even if you pay me. My advice go to Taco Bell. read more

On our way home to Salt Lake City from Las Vegas we stopped to eat at del-taco. I asked the young lady at the counter if she had any GLUTEN-FREE OPTIONS? She said no we don't have any free items. I asked to speak with the manager she said "she is cooking" I said will you please get the manager, the young lady left the counter and started speaking Spanish to the manager. The manager then yell from the cook line "no we have nothing gluten free" I sat at the counter for over 5 minutes as the young lady avoided taking my order, annoyed we left. After a long night of partying in Vegas, and before a long drive home to Utah, this was the perfect place to stop for brunch. I ordered my usual half pound bean & cheese burritos, and I think that this location maybe made them more than just half a pound. I was so full that I couldn't even fathom eating the second one that I ordered. The others in my group were impressed with the serving sizes as well, which is appreciated when hungover. The service here was really friendly, and we had our food almost instantly. The place seemed to be clean, which was a nice change after visiting some other places in the area. We had eaten, used the bathroom, and were back on our eight hour drive home within 20 minutes. The only thing from boosting this review up to five stars is the fact that my burrito tasted a little...meaty. That isn't very appealing to a vegetarian, so I am truly hoping that meat didn't somehow make it into my burrito. read more

I have never been denied a breakfast burrito at 11:30 at Del Taco before. I was so outraged that I had to leave and go to McDonalds of all places. To think that I had to leave a Del Taco because of their lack of eggs makes me furious. All I wanted was a simple breakfast burrito but I stand burrito-less.
