Last time we ate a KFC was in Astoria, OR and it was honestly the worst. And I like KFC. Tonight we did an online order for the Sandhill , Mesquite, NV location. Spicy Chicken Sandwich box which included 3 sides and a drink and a regular Chicken Sandwich. Both sandwiches were identical with the exception of sauce. My spicy had spicy sauce that was mild enough for most. My partners had Mayo. She enjoyed hers. The chicken was freshly cooked bun was good, had a few pickles as well. Both were surprisingly good. Sides were fries... not potato wedges, coleslaw and Mac n cheese. The coleslaw and Mac were the same as they always have been, good, not great but exactly what you're use to from KFC. The fries. Interesting. They use some type of seasoning that is a bit more salty than usual salted fries, but it tasted like something more. They were crisp. We both thought that we may not like them but they are a bit like the Pringle's ad... once you eat one... we finished the fries... pup got a few. A nice bonus was that they had a deal online that if you spend more than $5, they will give you a free large order of fries. It was very large. Impressive though was the online ordering/pickup experience. You pay at order checkout. When you get to the store, there's designated parking for pickup. You go inside, look on a shelf, grab your bag and go! If it's not there you're suppose to ask but it was there. Now get this, they seal the plastic bags closed! Great way of not allowing g others to look in your bag of grub and get ya sick. Nice bonus... We would return to this location. read more

HEADQUARTERS, PLEASE HELP THIS PLACE! Most KFC's are excellent, just like you'd expect, from years of eating there. This place, I don't even know what to say, and after several bad visits, I am going to issue a warning and I am actually going to write their headquarters with a complaint, because these franchises are all individually owned. Went through the drive through again, last minute, was sick and needed some food to take home. I keep hitting myself over the head, as I have had so many "goofed" orders, and bad customer window service, from this location in Mesquite, why am I even coming back??? I think, it can't happen again.... but it does, and this time was the ultimate worst! Placed an order for extra crispy, white meat dinners, plus the orders of the good looking, pictures of the apple pie bites, with cinnamon. Went through the drive through, got the order. Had to ask for butters and honeys..... Left, opened the box, reached in to pull a piece off, and it was NOT what I ordered. It was original. Pulled back over, looked at the box, It again, was not even white breasts, It was original or something other, and thighs. I went right back through the drive through, and told the girl on the speaker I got the wrong order. She asked me what was the problem, and I told her again what I ordered. She then said, "what do you want me to do about it"...... I said what, I want my correct order please. She then said, "all we have is dark meat and original". I replied, well then why didn't you say so and I could of ordered something else. She then said this: " I didn't check your order"....... Now I am getting lied to, and the run around, which even isn't making any sense and obviously these people think customers are dumb, and you'll just take what you given, and drive away and not come back.... Didn't check my order.... well you just told me you only have dark meat and original, so you know that, and you chose to put a totally different order in my bag, and send me on my way, but you claim you didn't check my order when bagging it???? Two total lies, you know exactly what you did. Then she said again, what do you want me to do about it. I told her I want a refund, I didn't order this and they should of told me that they didn't have what I ordered so I had a choice to choose something else. So she tells me to pull up to the window, and I did. Then she says, do you still want to keep the apple bites, and I said yes, so she refunded me my money except for those. Now the story gets even better. This was only about 5pm, dinner time, and your telling me you don't have any extra crispy chicken or white meat, and even when I ordered the apple bites, she said to me, we don't have any right now, but if you want to pull forward and wait, we can make some, of which I did, and believe me it was a good 15 min. So now I get my refund, and she says to me, give me the food back... Which I handed over and thought I should report you to the health department. YOu don't take food back into the restaurant, after giving it to someone, and i actually took a piece of it, out in the car, which is how I discovered it was a wrong order. So I handed the boxes back to her. And now heres the catch. We had covid..... Thats why we went through the drive through to get food, and these people took the food back into the restaurant. Then to top it off, We drove off, and I reached into look at the apple bits, pulled on out, and it wasn't even cooked all the way through, doughy in fact, and not even crispy on the outside, and absolutely no cinnamon and sugar on any of them. This is after they told me they would have to cook some. These were cold and could of been leftovers from earlier lunch or something. They were just awful! What is happening to the work force of fast food restaurants these days. They look at you and don't smile, and act as if your asking them something major to do, and they don't want to be inconvenienced. If you don't want a job, stay home. If you don't like working with people, do something else. Where is the management supposed to be training the staff on customer service? If you don't want to have chicken on hand to feed people then why be open at all? The owner of this business is losing money. In the next few days as we drove by the place again, we noticed how the parking lot is always empty. I am not sure if its just become this way, or its been this way for a long time, as like I've said, our last 5 visits or so have all been bad, and maybe everyone elses were also and finally no one is coming to this place anymore. Advice to the owner: Work it yourself with the people you've hired and see what they are doing, or put cameras and microphones in there and listed to what they say to people. MAKE SOME CHICKEN AND BE STOCKED UP! Do Something! When we see some cars in the parking lot again, maybe well chance it and try it again, but for now, absolutely not! read more

Very Clean - 5 star Shorter menu 3 Star Old greasy chicken -2 star It's a shame KFC learned it's lesson over a dozen years back when it had to remember what made them famous. I had the best experience at this KFC. I made an online order and I didn't change my location on the app. I was in St George and my app had me in Mesquite. I discovered my mistake of course when I went to pick up my food in St George and they had no order for me. Once I saw my mistake I called the KFC in Mesquite and asks them to hold my order that I would pick it up there but I had to drive to get there. I was on my way to California so it was fine I would be passing through. The person who answered the phone was so kind and totally understood and said she'd take care of me when I arrived. Once I got there I went to the drive through and told them I had an online order and my name. The manager came to the window and was so nice. She handed me my food and sent me in my way. I was delighted that my food was piping hot. The best KFC I've had in a while. Everything was delicious. The nuggets, the mashed potatoes and even the biscuit was hot. So delightful and yummy! I used to love this place, it had nice crispy nuggets covered in MSG without the smell of child excrement wafting through the doors from the ball pit. It lost its jingle jangle when everyone became worried about what Mt. Dew would do to a mans MANS size in the late 00s. I just spent over $40 on an order in the drive thru and when I asked for honey and butter for my biscuits that woman at the window rudely told me in the bag even after I told her I had already checked and I had none. She still insisted it was in the bag and when I got home I checked again and it was not in the bag. We called and asked to speak with the manager and instead of fixing the issue she hung up on us.
