As I entered the restaurant with the hopes of being in and out, with the option of online ordering, we were fairly surprised by the amount of customers in the store. Nonetheless happy for a healthy restaurant as we waited for our order to be fulfilled. As the time exceeded our pick up time i decided to ask the cashier (Jimena) for info regarding the order because I am a truck driver and use online ordering to make a prompt visit. I was told to wait for a reply then I was surprised to be left on the sideline with no clue on what the issue was. I asked Jimena again and rudely she replied she didn't know and that there was nothing she could do about it. I asked to speak with the manager Claudia and to my dismay her attitude was the same if not worst. She had a customer she was flirting with that had just walked in and said they can wait. No we can not our order was delayed and we also have places to be just like everyone else. The experience is the worst. So unprofessional. BTW Claudia the manager had sufficient employees not doing anything but she was more worried about flirting than taking care of her position, such as assuring all tables were clean yet were ALL dirty ... so we just stood while waiting. read more

The food is always good at this location. The service is always with a smile. The ambiance is good it's always clean and organized.

I try to give the benefit of doubt in these trying times, but the management of this Panda Express seems like they just don't care. The food, no matter what you order, is either grossly overcooked, or tastes like it's been sitting under a heat lamp for several hours. Many times the menu choices here are limited, but this visit, they were completely out of fried rice. Because of staffing problems, it's drive-thru only. This does not allow for seeing what's available or fresh. In other words, your meal choices are a crap shoot! This Panda Express was exceptionally good when it first opened, but has been a real mess for the past year. The workers are nice and seem to try to do well, but the food is fair at best. We used to patronize this place at least once a week, but for the past half year, maybe one a month. We keep hoping for improvement, but it doesn't happen. The food is predictably Panda Express food, the service was polite, and glad to have them in Mesquite. Juan was very attentive to fix it and deserves kudos. First, the lady at the window was extremely rude, she forgot my Dr Pepper and ran my card without telling me the total, they forgot to give us napkins, orange sauce for my spring rolls (the main thing needed for orange chicken I mean how do you do that?) I am a long time fan of PE. However, this location is beyond bad. I have visited this place 3 times. The first time was very bad but I gave consideration that it was very late. Not a good excuse because if you are going to charge me the same price it should be the same quality. The second was take out. I told the person taking the order that due to radiation I could not have Chile's. Needless when I got home I had chilies in every dish. The third and final time was an effort on my part to try and get something close to what I am used to. With a pretty empty store I had to wait until the debt with all the drive thru. I took the time to check the choices. Two bowls were empty. Meaning that food was no available to guests. I even heard the server request food to fill the trays twice. When I ordered I again mentioned that I could not have any spicy food. "No problem" they said. Sitting at a table I looked for a knife because I have to take small bites bc/of an operation. There was no knife. Not even a spoon. I asked for a knife and was told they had none. I talked to the manager and was told again no knife. I asked him to take the food back because I could not eat it and was told they don't do refunds. Just then one of the back workers (smarter than the manager) said sir we do have knives. We can cut it for him. I thanked him and told the manager that everything must be cut. Needless to say it was not. I then took it home and found green beans in my food. I did not order them. My wife found peanuts in hers she did not order. She pointed out that once they pull the chicken from the fryer the stir fry in the exact same pan as the previous batch. We stopped off this particular Panda Express driving through Nevada on our way to Page, Arizona just in case we wouldn't encounter another sign of life to find food at and what a good call that was! The line was out the door when we arrived but managed to enter the warm restaurant and avoid waiting in line outside the cold, windy elements since I had to go back to my car for the mandatory mask I forgot or I would not be allowed in. Yes, it is mandatory to wear a mask to enter the establishment. Upon entering, you have to scan your inner wrist at the temperature check scanner machine stand greeting you upon ethe establishment to fall in line only for to go orders. The place looks clean, modern and fresh as it just opened about four months ago during the pandemic in November 2020. This location has graciously opened up their bathrooms which during these strange times is a rare blessing. The line was a tad bit slow as they were replenishing some dishes. I ordered the Bigger Plate which comes with a side dish (choice of fried rice, chow mein noodles, super greens vegetables, white steamed rice, or brown rice or half and half combo of these), and three entrees. I got the super greens for my side and the three following entrées: Honey Walnut Shrimp, Orange Shrimp, and Beijing Beef. Everything served was cooked to perfection! In fact, this location served the very best Original Orange Chicken I have ever had in my life. It was crispy with a rich deep flavor in the sauce. The sauce was rich in color and the crispiness of the chicken even lasted the next day. The orange chicken was not overly covered with dough. Whatever they are doing here, I wish they would come over to some San Diego locations I frequent and train them on how to make the orange chicken correctly. Even though I had to eat this in the car for our road trip to AZ, I enjoyed the popping sensational flavors that were perfectly made. Just can't believe the total incompetence of the supply chain manager for this company! Most of the entrees at PE are rather spicy. We really like the Honey Sesame Chicken. It is flavorful and not over spiced. They ran out of the Honey Sesame sauce a few weeks ago and when I asked when they were going to get it back, the employees at the Mesquite, NV location said maybe in a few months! Shocking since they indicated it was their most popular entree. I contacted the customer service folks and all I got was the useless "We are sorry for the inconvenience" bull! As I was placing my order they informed me that they were out of chowmein but when I pulled up the the window I saw a batch sitting on the steam table. So I asked the lady at the window if I could add a side of chowmein to my order since it was available and she rudely denied me and said I had to go around again to add it to my order. We got into the parking lot, the doors were locked at 9:30. Someone walking out told us that they had closed the dining room but the drive through is still opened so we went in the drive through. She comes on and says that the kitchen is closed and they only have a variety of options left this late at night, but you close at 10? Anyways we order our food and pull up to the window the lady treats us very disrespectfully from the start. There were 5 of us and we got 5 meals. We made sure to ask if there were 5 fortune cookies so we could all get one, and comes back with a very snarky remark. Also they couldn't bother giving us any forks to eat with our meals. We were so excited to welcome Panda Express to our city of Mesquite, Nevada on October 28, 2020. There were a few bumps in the road in the beginning, but we were more than willing to be patient until everyone had time to train and settle in. But it's been over a year now and I believe most of us would rather go back to the Chinese food served at the casinos. My latest visit was on New Years Eve at 3:50 pm. I understand staffing is an issue, so no online order or lobby service available. But going through the drive-thru was difficult to say the least. We had multiple families in the car, each wanting to pay their own bill. We were told they could only take one order at a time, so we had to circle around for each order. Not a big problem, but each time we came around they had run out of another product. The excuse was the warehouse did not send us our order. When opening our boxes we found different sides then we ordered. Apparently a substitution was made without asking what we would like instead. The staff was as frustrated as we were, poor kids. they just opened the day before i went. it was PACKED on opening day. i got a three entree meal ordering two of one entree and one of another. got home and they had given me one entree i didn't order, it was beef & broccoli which was good so i didn't mind. egg rolls and cream cheese wontons were good also. all in all a very good fast food chinese place in a town with three thai restaurants and finally now a chinese (kinda) one. worth a visit. read more
