Here is a very quiet, golf course restaurant. I'm glad we came here instead of the busy buffet. Reasons why?! It's quiet, not packed and lots of parking. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm. Upon entering, you'll see the restaurant right away. There is also a private party room incase you have a large party or reserve it for you and your golf buddies. BUT the restaurant isn't hard to miss. Service was quick and friendly. There wasn't a lot of people so it wasn't busy enough to halt or stall services. Our order arrived and at first, the food looked dry. As soon as I bit into the fish, ohhh it was so NOT dry. lol! Juicy. I was glued to the garlic fries. This is one thing I highly recommend getting. If you're into garlic, of course. I'm a garlic person. Fresh diced garlic cloves, along with other herbs... mmmmmm...my mouth waters just thinking of it. And I'd make the trip back there just for the fries. The cheesecake was enough for two people to share. Although, that's what my son and I did. I just gotta say, give them a try if you're in town and around. It sure beats the heavy traffic of the buffets. read more

Looked for something more than fast food while in the area. Reviews looked good and menu items met our expectations. Very nice laid back located at local country club. We had the Philly Steak and Chicken Bacon Wrap. We upped one order of fries to Onion rings. Fries and rings were great! Sandwich's also done very well. Great lunch! Will be back and recommend to others. Since it's in a country club service was a little lacking. Members were taken care of first. I guess you take care of your daddy to day customers. Fun look for restaurant and bar, great views; but both times I've been there it felt short-staffed and no bartender. Awful service as a result. Outdoor patio is nice with a great view. Southwest egg rolls were good. Fish on the fish and chips was very good, but the tater tots were cold. Asian chicken salad was awful. Dry chicken- possibly the driest piece of chicken I've ever had. The beer was far from ice cold. All-in-all, I'm not interested in coming back. read more

The place was beautiful and the scenery wonderful. But, unfortunately the food was not as great. I avoid McDonald's like the plague, to come here and be served McDonald's food. I had the breakfast sandwich. I requested ham. In a place like this, I expected real nice ham. I got what appeared to be Oscar Meyer sandwich slices shredded. The cheese was very oily. The hash browns were exactly what McDonalds gives out. If I come back to mesquite, I will look for different location to eat. I will say the server was very pleasant. read more

Giving 1 star cause I can't give zero. 3 negative experiences (breakfast & lunch) prompted me to speak to management. Mr. Warden never apologized but instead put the blame on me for my lack of food knowledge and needing to understand it was balloon fest weekend. Nevermind that the other 3 restaraunts we ate at had no issues with service. I feel like this guy thinks anyone who voices a complaint is a problem . I will never be his problem again! But thank you for telling me that I was wrong about my lox, bagel and cream cheese because they are to be served cold. Had he listened he would of heard that it was the lack of cream cheese and my "toasted bagel" had been toasted way before being served so it had zero crunch and felt stale. read more

Formerly Hugo's from up the hill, The Worden has taken over operations and moved to the Oasis Golf Course. The Worden offers up breakfast and lunch 7 days a week. Dinner Thursday-Saturday starting at 5pm. Reservations for dinner are mandatory . I came for lunch and even though the restaurant was crowded, l still was promptly seated . I ordered the chicken Philly. It was delicious! The whole sandwich was made to perfection from the perfectly toasted bread to the flavorful chicken. The service was attentive. The food was great. Watching the ladies at the other table get plastered off champagne while dishing out the latest Mesquite gossip. PRICELESS! There is a huge parking lot, so finding a space isn't an issue. There is also a nice little bar with bar seating. To the right of the restaurant is a banquet room you can reserve for private events . Can't wait to try dinner on my next visit. read more

I have eaten here 3 times. The first time I ordered pizza. Second time I ordered a meat ball sub. 3rd time I ordered a Stromboli. The pizza was good for a Mesquite restaurant (but that's not really saying much, because Mesquite pizza is pretty bad). If Worden was located in New York City, on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate their pizza as a 3. The meatball sandwich was below average (it was dry, and very small for $13). The Stromboli was the worst I have ever had in my life. First of all, Stromboli is supposed to be in a long log shape, in which the crust is thicker than a calzone. Worden serves their Stromboli in a half moon shaped thin crust, that is typically only used for calzones. However, this alone was not the biggest problem for Worden's Stromboli's...the biggest problem was, the Stromboli was as thin as a pancake, because it had very few meat fillings in it (Stromboli is supposed to be thick, filled abundantly with meat and cheese). It was so bad, I took two bites and stopped eating. My dinner guest asked the waitress for boxes, for all the leftover food (including the Stromboli). But as soon as I got home, I tossed the stromboli in the garbage (First time in my 60 year life, that the Stromboli was so bad, I threw it in the garbage). If you are originally from a city that has great Italian food (NYC, Boston, etc...), you are going to be greatly disappointed with Worden. As I mentioned before, I tried this place 3 times, so I gave it a fair chance....but as the old saying goes, 3 strikes and you're out...I will not be going back to this restaurant again. read more

1st time dining at "The Worden", inside Oasis Country Club. The Rose` Shrimp was utterly delicious, cooked to perfection, & the accompanying garden salad was refreshing, crisp. I asked for an Espresso Martini, which wasn't on the drink menu, but Jacob the cocktail crafter, made it happen. Needless to say, all 3 were delicious! Our server was excellent, the chef stopped by to make sure we were happy with our meals, and it made for a wonderful birthday meal experience. We will definitely be back. read more

It's my first time at Worden, after hearing rave reviews for a couple of years. To my surprise, there's nothing on the menu except pizza and a few pasta dishes. We ordered the baked ziti. It was disgusting. The waitress was nice and asked us if we wanted to send it back, but I didn't know how to explain that it wasn't cooked badly, but the recipe is bad. read more

We had a great dinner experience, on a Saturday night. The mountain views were gorgeous from the dining room. Our server #1306 was excellent. Friendly, attentive, and informative. The service was quick and efficient. Even the food runner went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. The food and wine was delicious. We tried the chicken wings, lamb chop special and the prime rib special, with a side of mushrooms. Yum! The food was cooked perfectly, and was flavorful and satisfying. You have to go here for breakfast. The chef behind the restaurant is doing wonderful. Poached eggs cooked perfectly with my wife's chicken fried steak. I took my wife here for her birthday meal. We were in Mesquite for the weekend. The food was excellent. The tuna tataki appetizer was perfect, we also had a capresi salad was excellent, the dressing was great. She had the Chicken Piccata and I had the scallops. Very delicious! I would come back to Mesquite just to have dinner here again and try something else to eat, every dish sounded amazing. Judy our server was very attentive and accommodating. Went to Mesquite for a quick get away. Tried Worden for breakfast one morning based upon reviews. Found the hidden gem in the Oasis Golf Course. No long lines, no smokey casino. Great new place in Mesquite! We went for lunch and will return again soon. The restaurant was busy and the staff was friendly and attentive in spite of how busy it was. The lunch menu here is reasonably priced and the food is great. I love the Classic Reuben, the Steak Philly and their fries. Onion Rings are terrific too but cost a little extra and the fries are so good, no need to upgrade. read more
