This place is amazingly fun!!! I had the best time, drink varieties are there and popcorn was yummy. For a pretty small place the game selections were great and most were functional. Will definitely go back.

My experience with a side quest arcade was pretty solid overall. It's ALL YOU Can PLAY games for about $10 before tax. They have a variety of machines ranging from retro, fighting, rhythm/music, and old fashion arcade games like skiball and air hockey. They have plenty of drink and food options too. Their drink selection is pretty solid. We got gin and juice and crown Royal in a can. I would say the only negatives I had was that there was absolutely no spots to put your drinks. I would hate for a drink to spill and it messing up a machine. The pinball area is super narrow. Some people were not considerate when we were trying to pass through, so I just ended up going another direction most of the time to avoid an accidental bump. Overall, it was pretty fun! Staff was super cool, so shout-out to them.

Interesting ad on the bathroom wall.

Super cool place! I'm a big fan of unlimited-play arcades. The price for a day of fun is VERY reasonable. They have a great variety of machines, from first-person shooters to classic pinball games. Their drinks are quite reasonably priced too. The only thing not to like is a pretty high number of machines with some sort of problem, like a button that doesn't work right. I get that the machines are old and get used a lot, but I've been to similar arcades where problems were much more rare. Still, for the amount of fun we had, this place was an amazing value, and I hope to go back some time.

    Fun for the Whole Fam!

Second time to host a birthday party...always a fantastic experience. I love that I can pay per kid and customize my party package. This is the most stress-free venue. Unlike most places, the claw machines actually give prizes. The whole vibe is fun for kids and adults. The game are in great condition and huge variety of mean something for everyone to enjoy! Shout outs to James, who made me feel welcome the whole time. The manager, Amanda took care of any issues. Nathan and Ethan were quick to help out when needed.

The unlimited play is more than worth the $12 fee/person. I let my kids played until they asked to go home. They had games for all ages. My 4yr enjoyed the "Hot Wheels" racing game because it was face pace, easy to control, and personalized your name and picture on the winning platform. They also had snack bar, tables at the front, cool Japanese vending machines, glass shelving for collector items to by purchased: Lounge Fly backpacks, mini figs, soo much more. You just have to go see for yourself.

Mid Spring Break activity in North Texas going retro and back to #GENX times. Side Quest is located inside of a mall area, making parking a challenge. When you enter, you do a one price pay for all video games. You have a long list of pinball machines, traditional games like Galaga, Burger Time, big screen pac man, etc. The bathrooms are located at the end of the room, and they are clean and well maintained. At the entrance, you have claw machines you have to pay for to get the items. You can eat and get an adult beverage while you destroy ALIENS. Now, be aware that if you get food there, it is what it is dont expect 5 star pizza. It is a well-kept game room, and for our family, it was a plus during Spring Break.

In the Firewheel Center Mall, Garland, TX at 430 Winecup Way. Big, new game arcade!

Brand new video game arcade, with setup geared more to teens & preteens. All-Day wristband for $9.99 + tax with re-entry privilege. Popcorn, hotdogs, etc served by staff. Beer on tap, and in cans, for legal adults. Big facility, with nice big restrooms, and a section of tables for seating. Outdoor patio tables also. About 15 classic cabinet video games, a really big pinball alley, plenty of shooter games, and multi-player games. DDR Dance Dance Revolution! Plenty of racing and fighting games. Parking is limited in front. More parking in lot by Border Books.

    10/10 recommend!!!

Very interesting experience. Dirty, smelly, and wet spots on the floor. Also most of the games were in Korean, not english.

Great place to play the old school arcade games as well as some newer stuff. Prices on food are a bit high though, but gaming is cheap.

My daughter had a blast. She collected enough tickets to win some cool prizes. Some of the games weren't working, but we got to enjoy most of them. It was a fun way to spend an hour or so.

I took my grandson to NickelRama a little over a week ago, while he was visiting from Ohio…read more Having never been, I had no expectations other than to think we were going to an "arcade." I had looked up NickelRama online just to verify that fact, and in so doing I read that all the arcade games were, go figure, a "nickel!" Anyhoo, what I did not realize was that NickelRama are a chain of "play for tickets" arcades, where one may then redeem the tickets for "prizes," akin to that which one might imagine winning at a carnival "Guess Your Age/Weight Booth," where number of prizes range from a stick of chewing gum or pencil topper on the low end to perhaps something electronic on the far upper end, depending on the number of tickets being redeemed. My grandson was fully aware of what we were getting into, as I quickly learned. After we made entry and each received our initial $10.00 purchase of 200 nickels, presented to us loose, in plastic cups, he immediately began searching the arcade for what he determined to be the game that would result in us accumulating the most tickets. This was not his first rodeo and he certainly knew the "name of the game" was quantity over quality, as far as ticket acquisition goes. The idea that we might challenge one another in some friendly video game mano a mano competition was quickly replaced by us challenging an electronically crafted gizmo to give up the most tickets possible, for later turn-in and prize procurement! As such was inevitable, he found THE game and thus, the challenge was on. It took us each about 45 minutes to burn through our 200 nickels. Well, I actually left the particular game and sought some variety of play, after about 160 or so nickels. That was short lived however, as I quickly realized my grandson's assessment was correct and the game to which he remained attached was the one that was most generous in spitting out tickets. Hence, I returned to sit beside him at the adjacent game and fed the remainder of my nickels into the machine. When our nickel cups were empty, I urged my grandson to walk about and seek out other possible games, but he quietly reminded me none were as generous as the one we'd just left. Still, I was seeking variety so, I enticed him with an additional cup of 100 nickels. He retrieved the cups and we began playing a game somewhat similar to THE game, but as he pointed out it just wasn't as lucrative. So, we went back to the machines we first sat at and fed. After a short period, we both were done and ready to feed our tickets into the Ticket Counters for tabulation. The ticket counters, booth count AND slice the tickets in half so they may not be reused/recounted. As our tickets were counted, he was declared the winner, by his count exceeding mine, by about 800 tickets! In total, we had a combined give or take 5300 tickets, with which he could now utilize to "shop" for prizes. With an "All-in" investment of just at $40, including the $5 entry fee for each of us to the NickelRama, he was able to get a tiny rubber eraser, a pair of large foam dice, and a plastic foam ball pop gun. In the end, I considered it money well spent, since the goal of the trip was to spend some quality time out with my grandson. He had fun and I had fun! He was shown that he was valued by my following his lead in our quest. And, he outperformed me in the acquisition of tickets! If you're looking to spend some time with your little ones and you want them to feel good about themselves, a NickelRama can fill that need! If you go, just keep in mind, that the quality is not in the prizes but in the time spent together! Live well. Be well. Cheers!

The theater isn't as big as Cinemark or AMC, but they do offer $5 movies on Tuesdays. I strongly dislike the online ticketing process-- it's inconvenient to have to call in order to cancel/refund tickets. At other theaters, I can just go online and click a button to cancel. At Strike + Reel, I have to call the box office and read them my entire card information to process a cancellation. Overall, the theater is decent and affordable (if you pay the one-time $20 membership fee). They don't provide free water cups like Cinemark or AMC, and the restrooms are small (only three stalls in the women's room), and two of them were out of toilet paper when I went. The place was packed on Tuesday, which brought back memories of the good old moviegoing experience. Popcorn costs $8 for a small bag, and there are no refills on the $5 soda cups. If you're looking to save an extra dollar on movie Tuesdays, this is a great option. But if you care about the amenities that bigger theaters offer, it's probably best to skip this one.
