My go to movie theater for the past 3+ years! Comfy, quiet, and offers good food and drinks! Also a good place to bowl and or play arcade games and more!

I've been wanting to try this movie theater for years now, especially since it's the closest one to my apartment. The theater isn't as big as Cinemark or AMC, but they do offer $5 movies on Tuesdays. I strongly dislike the online ticketing process-- it's inconvenient to have to call in order to cancel/refund tickets. At other theaters, I can just go online and click a button to cancel. At Strike + Reel, I have to call the box office and read them my entire card information to process a cancellation. Overall, the theater is decent and affordable (if you pay the one-time $20 membership fee). They don't provide free water cups like Cinemark or AMC, and the restrooms are small (only three stalls in the women's room), and two of them were out of toilet paper when I went. The place was packed on Tuesday, which brought back memories of the good old moviegoing experience. Popcorn costs $8 for a small bag, and there are no refills on the $5 soda cups. If you're looking to save an extra dollar on movie Tuesdays, this is a great option. But if you care about the amenities that bigger theaters offer, it's probably best to skip this one.

Movie date night Friday 9/13 We purchased tickets online, pretty simple and easy process. Ample parking, and easy walkability. I will say we were taken aback with the handgun/weapon screening process at the door as I've not experienced at any other theater locally. During our entry we noticed mostly younger teen aged workers, when bringing in orders to theaters there seemed to be lots of joking, horseplay, as well as one serving huffing and puffing over the food trays while delivering orders. The movie itself was great, nice reclining and seats with optional seat warmers. We did not visit the arcade or bowling areas during our visit. Prices seemed average for local venue, I would try again possibly during a school day to avoid some of the younger crowds for a quieter/calmer visit.

Do they have roof top parties?

Hey there. No roof top parties unfortunately. But lots of birthday parties and group events inside! :)

Does the seats recline in the movie theater?

    Yes, they are heated too!

Is there a pool table here?

That's a good idea but no, there isn't one.

We recently saw Project Hail Mary here on a Tuesday night. My husband bought the tickets in advance on Fandango so he could reserve our seats. He said it was surprisingly cheap, and my husband NEVER says that! LOL! The strip mall has a lot of parking, so you are bound to find something close. Check-in is just inside the door. The different screening rooms wrap around the hall. The aisles are wide so that you and a server can get through without bumping into the recliner chairs. The chairs are decently comfortable, but the middle seats get used a bit more than others, so you might notice that they aren't as supportive nowadays. There is a swing table with a QR code to access the menu. WiFi is free. ADH is really strict about phone use during movies and with unnecessary talking. They will not hesitate to boot you, but they have softened their stance a bit now that the menus are accessible by phone. I ordered everything online. The process was super easy to add drinks and food. I didn't like having to pull out my credit card and try to enter that in the dark. I really wish they had offered payments through PayPal and Apple Pay. We had margaritas, bottomless popcorn, and a pizza, but NO NAPKINS! My popcorn was given to the guy next to me, but he was nice and said, "This must be yours.". I handed it to my husband. The servers cane and went several times bringing food and drinks to various people. The movie started and still no pizza. I was not happy about this. We got there early so I wouldn't have to eat in the dark. It finally arrived, but I was not impressed. I ordered the Margherita. It was soggy, so the crust didn't hold the ingredients. I had to fold each slice NY style to prevent myself from wearing it. The mozzarella rounds on top were not really melted. They were still thick circle slices. I would not order this again. The popcorn was good, but I wasn't sure how to get seconds for our bottomless order. The QR code did have something that said seconds, but I didn't dare turn on my phone to put in a request during the film for fear of being booted. Maybe next time I will just get a standard popcorn. It's cheaper. Film was loud! Too loud for my hubby. He had his fingers in his ears the entire time. I was okay with it, but you definitely wouldn't want to make a habit of coming to see films here and risk your hearing longterm. ADH has some fun old films that they show each month. These special events often include props related to the film. It looks like fun. We will have to check it out eventually. We usually come here for new screenings that aren't available on streaming yet. They also have a monthly membership that allows you to see multiple films each month without the hassle of paying each time. That's a great idea for the movie aficionado or someone who likes to go out regularly. I do love the movie experience and try to support this local film house whenever I get a chance.

The combination of the ticketing issue and the way I was treated was disappointing. Because of this experience, I won't be returning.

Inside are two screens, both quite sizeable, with ample seating. From what I understand, this theater is not open year-round. It opens during summer blockbuster season, and when highly anticipated movies come about. I suppose that's why when we showed up, the guy thought we were there to see the new Mission Impossible movie. We were actually there to see The Muppets. When we got there, I was feeling a mixture of both excitement, and nerves. I looked around, and it looked like the Movie Theater That Time Forgot. The concession stand was dimly lit and looked like it hadn't been used in ages. There were movie posters rolled up in a corner, the marquees still used removable letters...it was OLD SCHOOL. The theater is owned/operated by an Indian man, who was the only person running everything. He was the concession stand clerk, box office clerk, and projectionist. Tickets are the cheapest anywhere for new flicks. $5 for adults, $3 for kids, all the time. The movie-watching experience was pretty nice...although about 2/3 of the way through the movie, the sound had some hiccups, which the man explained was due to the way he had everything set up. He apologized for that, and we didn't really mind, since he was so incredibly nice to us. He also REALLY loves and is proud of his surround sound, which he gave us a demo of (we watched a 20 minute segment from XXX, and the explosions, car crashes, ect. sounded really great), and he was really anxious to show it to us the entire night. I have to give him credit...he may not be running a sparkling, shiny new theater, but I liked his enthusiasm for what he did have to offer, and sometimes, that's all you really need. We will most definitely be back for an action flick to make use of his sound system.
