ALL YOU CAN EAT CONVEYOR BELT HOT POT! I came on a Saturday evening around 6:30 and immediately got seating. There were some tables still empty. We got seated on the side tables facing the conveyor belts because there was only 2 of us. Each individual is required to pay their AYCE fee + a soup base. Weekend prices are $28.99 + soup base (ranges from $6-8). We ordered one pork & seafood soup base and one nourishing health soup base. There is a sauce station with lots of variety of dipping sauces to choose from. Everything is covered with lids so it's pretty clean at the station. You can pick up any dish from the conveyor belt and place it on your table. Note: you need to order the plates of meats from the staff. They offer beef slices, pork slices, and lamb slices. Each plate was pretty big and it was a lot of meat for the two of us. Some of the hot pot dishes were: luncheon meat, pigs blood, fish balls, chinese lettuce, cabbage, fish, squid, clams, frozen tofu, udon, instant noodles, vermicelli, shrimp, taro, chinese sausage, sweet potato, etc. (I had to list it out since I couldn't find a menu that has all the food choices). They do not have any dessert options besides the slices of oranges. I would recommend this place as it's a fun interactive hot pot restaurant and there aren't many conveyor belt restaurants in the area. The total bill + tip was about $38 per person which is pretty good for an AYCE place.

The food was great. Pricing is okay. It was less options than other place but the conveyor is nice to have. They also have different options that arent in other hot places. Service is nice. She would always walk around and take the bowls away and refill the soup and water. The place is nice and the conveyor is a nice vibe

Plate of sliced lamb for a table of 4

I was super excited to try this place because of the conveyer belt gimmick but sadly it didn't live up to the hype. Pros: the broth was delicious and everyone got to have their own pot and there is an extensive sauce bar. But the variety in the ingredients was lacking. It is all you can eat and the servers put out huge plates of sliced beef, lamb, and pork out for you. If you are unable to finish, you are allowed to take it home at no extra cost. Me and my brother and our friends went on Christmas day for lunch, we were the only people there and here was what was offered on the conveyer belt: instant noodles, udon, canned quail egg, whole chicken egg, tofus, lettuces, clams, shrimp, spam, red sausage. We were looking for enoki mushroom, cuttlefish balls, but surprisingly there wasn't any. Unlike most hotpot places there is no ice cream at the end, dessert is just a few sad pieces of melon under saran wrap. It's worth going once for the gimmick because there aren't many conveyer belt places to eat in the GTA but I wouldn't go back to this place.

Cool conveyor belt.

Who doesn't love hot pot on a cold winter day. A friend recommended checking out this place. I went for lunch which was quiet but was pleasantly surprised. Neat thing about this Hot Pot place is that it has a conveyor belt to bring you various items for your hot pot. I only heard of conveyor belt sushi, but never heard of it for hot pot, but it totally worked. Everyone gets their own pot which is nice. The meat is ordered from the server and is brought separately. Everything else you are used to getting for hotpot come around on the belt. All Veg, tofu puffs and skins, noodles, some seafood, mushrooms etc., etc. Restaurant itself is small but nicely decorated and the food is fresh. All you can eat at $28.99 + base is reasonable these days. I enjoyed hot pot here and the conveyor concept was super fun. Would definitely come back.

Great good needs more option I did enjoy the service. The lady was very nice, but she had a hard time understanding what I was saying other than that the food was really good. The service was fast. I wish there was a little bit more options. The atmosphere was clean the place was very welcoming.

Food runs on a single conveyor belt so if you're sitting at the back of the belt you sometimes don't see what you want for a while or the item only comes out once or at the end. Servers are friendly and welcoming and washrooms are clean. To be honest, it is more of a 4.5/5 stars review!

We were searching for a place to eat in the area and passed by this restaurant at Langham Square. There was one table left when we walked in at 7:15pm. I thought it was a choose-your-own sushi place but it was actually a hot pot place. This was our first time having hot pot outside of our own home. Everyone has their own pot and you can choose your soup base. The soup base has some Chinese herbs too. There were some different meats to choose from, but the beef and pork came from the kitchen as they're frozen in thin rolls. There was quite a selection of things to cook: tofu, gluten puffs, a variety of mushrooms, different veggies, and seafood options. The kids had fun taking things off the belt.

This is an all you can eat conveyor belt hotpot place. Besides the buffet fee, you must pay for a pot of soup per person, so dining here is more expensive than it seems (and more expensive than other AYCE hotpots). You can mix 2 soups in one pot. The soups are awesome, but otherwise this place falls short. The first row of soups is spicy, but the next two are non spicy. Had Pork seafood and nourishing herbal in one pot and tomato oxtail and mushroom chicken in another. All were very tasty, especially tomato oxtail. And even though they were topped up repeatedly with master stock, they still retained their flavours, likely due to their containing many ingredients (so the flavour could re-develop). Thinly sliced beef, lamb & pork are served, but you pick other items off the conveyor belt. Unfortunately the variety of items isn't great and they're not always replenished promptly (e.g. we only saw corn once throughout dinner). Unlike other AYCE hotpot places, you don't get cooked dishes either. The quality of items wasn't all there either. While the chicken thigh was good, the shrimp was not fresh, so it's better used to sweeten your soup than to eat. The you tiao (fried dough sticks) are soggy. Mung bean noodles (dong fen) are good, since they cook fast & absorb the soup's flavours well. You get to mix your hotpot sauces yourself, which is refreshing. The sesame sauce is super dilute. Otherwise the sauces are passable - it might be a better idea to eat your food with the soups. For dessert you only get sliced orange - they were big & juicy but had a limp flavour. You don't get water, though their drinks are not pricey. On the up side, service here is above average for a Chinese place, and their English standard is good

This place was my thoughts came true! When you think of conveyor belts, you think of conveyor belts sushi (other than your luggage at the airport), but why can't you have one for hotpot as well? Side By Side Hotpot was a small AYCE hotpot place where all your ingredients arrive on the conveyor belts, waiting for you to pick'em. As it's an individual pot style, you pick your soup base (mushroom soup on my visit), and you order your meats with the server (only beef or lamb), make your own sauce at the sauce bar, and while you waiting for your soup to arrive, you can start picking out the ingredients from the conveyor belts. They have seafood (shrimp, clam, mussels, fish, squid), veggies, tofu, fishballs and noodles. It was a fun experience, but the reason for 3 stars here we gooooo... 1) seats are narrow, not suitable for a big party 2) from meats (no pork??) to conveyor belts ingredients (no dumplings or wontons) to desserts, not many choices to choose from Though, service was great and attentive, always came by to pick up our empties and refill our soup with SOUP not water. Roughly about $36 per person plus tips. If you never had conveyor belts dinner, you can give it a try. But for hotpot, there are other places that cost you similar yet many more varieties of ingredients.

The wife and I came here for dinner on a Friday night around 6:30 it was busy yet probably about 3 more tables at the time. We thought it was pretty interesting the concept. They offer AYCE hotpot here but with a rotating conveyor belt that carries the food around the whole restaurant similar to a rotating sushi concept. The food was ok when you order directly from the server like the meats. We found that the other items on the belt just kept looping and didn't look too appetizing, maybe if it was busier and the items are moving and being replenished with new items. The price is not bad for AYCE $26 for adult weekday and $29 for adult weekends and holidays. But you can also get better premium soup base for an extra fee. Everyone has an individual pot for cooking. Overall this place is not bad decent food service is good. FeiJai Out!

Came here cus of the conveyor belt and it was tons of fun eating here. I like that it's portioned smaller which makes you eat more and the service was great.

Chopsticks have a wooden extension

Even on a cold Wednesday evening, this place was 80% full which I found surprising but there's no better meal and hot pot when it's cold. This place is similar to Surely Up Vegetarian hot pot with the conveyor belt bring out each dish, except this place is AYCE and you're not sitting in a circle. The conveyor belt moves around the entire restaurant and people can sit in their own groups. The only downside is the people sitting on the edge of the table won't be able to reach for the food and they'll have to ask someone who's sitting closer. There's also a sauce and dessert station, as well as a gaming area near the front entrance. The decor is pretty and green. Their chopsticks also come with a wooden extension to make it longer (it was annoying at first cause it kept falling out but it was fine afterwards). You can order beef and lamb but you can pick everything else from the conveyor. There's a nice selection and more variety than other places and if there's something you want but don't see it or hasn't come out in awhile, you can ask them. They also have items that you wouldn't see at other places such as chicken feet (those white ones), pork skin, and beef tendon. It's probably better to sit closer to where the food comes out because since it's an AYCE hot pot, people tend to grab a lot of food and if you're sitting by the windows, it might take a little longer/you don't get the best selection. On the plus side, they give multiple dishes of the same kind so you still have a chance of getting what you want. It would also be beneficial to have labels on their dishes cause I honestly don't even know what some of them were, but it's probably difficult to have to label so many dishes. I did find that the soup made me quite thirsty, probably from the MSG. They recommend pork bone soup as their favourite, but we opted for the mushroom, tomato, and pickled soup. Soup base are roughly $5-$8 and the cost on weekdays and weekends is $25 and $28, respectively. Service here is amazing! And you don't find that usually at any hot pot/AYCE restaurants. They explained their soup, cleared dishes, refilled water and soup without having to call them over. There's really no complaints! Overall it was fun coming here for dinner and I would come here again!

I've never been a huge fan of this dish that's served cold since I prefer chicken hot. Still, I understand it's the jelly layer between the skin and meat that people enjoy. And to be fair, the chicken was tender, and New Century certainly didn't skimp on the ginger and scallion oil. For those who tend to fill-up before the "main dishes", the stars of the combo arrive mid-meal. The stir-fried Vancouver crabs with silver fish in HK style spicy sauce needs to be eaten at arrival as the crunchy coating is best straight from the fryer. And despite not looking spicy, the dish has a light heat that permeates in the background. Additionally, the crab was fresh and meaty, cooked well so it remained delicately flakey. The amount of sweet and sticky sauce used in the stir-fried lobsters with scallion in Maggie sauce was well balanced, lightly covering the crustaceans. Both lobsters were substantial; even after eating many pieces, we still had plenty of leftovers. This is a long review head to Gastro World for the rest.

If you break it down, it's actually such a good deal: the snakehead upgrade is usually +$3 each and their handcrafted drinks run around $6. No extra charge for any of that with this combo, so... why not? I got the scallion pickled cabbage fish soup (mild spice) and my friend went for the Laotan boiled fish (a bit spicier). For the snack, we picked half Taiwanese sausage and half glutinous rice cake to get both savoury and dessert vibes. When the bowls came out, they looked huge, but the portion was kinda deceiving... it's a very wide, shallow bowl, so the amount of actual soup wasn't as generous as it looked. For a fish soup restaurant, I definitely expected a deeper bowl. But the fish itself was fresh with that nice bouncy texture, plus vermicelli and a solid amount of pickled veggies. They also have a self-serve rice station with both white rice and multigrain rice. The rice cookers even have little signs showing when a new batch is cooking, which I thought was cute and convenient. Overall, flavour wise, it was solid and the promo made it worth the visit. But I am not sure if I'd come back again.

New sauerkraut fish soup spot in Markham…read more A chain from asia that has finally made it's way to Markham. They are known for their sauerkraut fish soup that comes with unlimited self serve rice on the side. Servers were attentive, spacing of the seating and tables were tight. Often times people kept brushing up against my chair while getting up to go get their rounds of rice. Although not a deal breaker, was annoying while trying to enjoy your food. The portions are big enough for 2 if you get a large, but since it was our first time we wanted to try 2 different soups. Here's what we got: Chicken wings 4/5 - Came out raw the first time after we bit into it. But quickly flagged a server to let them know how this issue. They brought us a new one shortly after that was perfectly cooked, juicy and crispy on the outside. Laotan boiled fish with pickled cabbage and chili 4/5 - Their number one classic so we had to try. It's sour and spicy with the right amount of kick to it. Basa fish filets were also tasty. Came out luke warm. Princess's tomato fish 4/5 - Packed with tomato flavour. Savoury and paired well with the basa fish filet. Came with bean curd noodles as well. Came out luke warm. Easily would be a five star review if both soups that we got came out piping hot rather than lukewarm. Regardless, a great spot for a quick in and out meal.

Wait list is old school...someone writes your name and number in a notebook and you are called when your table is ready. The interior is reminiscent of the old school taverns you see in those old Chinese movies where the traveller has spent days walking or on a horse and comes upon a tavern where the interior is all wooden tables and benches. Dining style and dishes are all family style. You order a couple of dishes and then add rice. Spice level can be adjusted and even at 'less' the heat level was high. Definitely generous use of Szechwan peppercorns! Food is very flavourful and depending on preference some might find the oil level high. Service was patient and attentive.
