This newly opened restyarant has a buy one get one half promo until the end of January, so my friend and I decided to enjoy the deal. When we got there we had to line up for about 20 mins before we were seated. The space wasn't big, understandably it got busy with the promotion. Also rice is all you can eat. We ordered the boiled fish with green pepper and Hot onion boiled fish with pickled cabbage. The green pepper dish soup was mouth numbing if you like this kind of flavour. My favourite was the hot onion boiled fish. Love the intricate flavours that are sour and savory. Overall, it was such a good eat against the winery weather. And the service was decent. Will definitely go back again.

Absolutely love this place especially during the colder months. They currently have a grand opening special until the end of the month for buy 1 get 1 50% off the fish pot and it's such a great deal. Plus they have AYCE rice. What I ordered: -Hot Onion Boil Fish w/ Pickled Cabbage -Golden Soup Beef -Laotan Boiled Fish w/ Pickled Cabbage -Vinegar Pepper Golden Fish Soup -Spicy King Oyster Mushroom Salad -Spicy Lotus Root Slices Salad I got the pots in the regular size and it was good for sharing. Among those, I love how they each have their own distinct flavours but the favourites for the night were the Hot Onion Boil Fish, Golden Beef, and King Mushroom Salad. I personally would skip on the lotus root salad...I was expecting it to be sliced as a whole but it's quite shredded. I also wanted to try the purple/multigrain rice but were told that they only have that on some days. Restaurant was small but brightly lit. The chairs are cute but not good for hanging your jackets as the back is quite low. Service is friendly and we're great at explaining their menu and giving recommendations! Will definitely be back again!

Highly recommended upgrading to their snakehead options. The regular portion is sufficient for two girls/ not so hungry people to share. Bonus: Free unlimited rice, and they accept (debit) card payment Cons: Located at First Markham Place, therefore the parking situation can be chaotic.

Always crave for pickled veggie fish soup and Fish with You is a chain store specialized for soup fish. Today finally had a chance to try it out. The store is very clean, bright and colorful. Weekday lunch they have lunch special at $13.99, I upgraded the fish from Basa fish to snake head fish. The fish sliced a little bit too thick and not as fresh as I expected, but it definitely worth the price. The soup and picked veggie are in a huge bowl, I just wished fish can be little bit more. The best part of it, the rice is free. They have two kinds of rice, white rice and multi grain rice. The rice cookers are lined up at the front, customers can fill up themselves. To finish the soup fish, it really needs a lot of rice. The self service rice really helps. The service is minimal, but quick and efficient.

I heard a lot of good reviews about this place so I came for a try. We (2 ppl) ordered a classic suancai fish with basa, just to compare the taste with Tai er, what we found out is that this place is less spicy and msg, size is perfect for us with unlimited rice, they cook the rice to perfection (at least in my opinion). I really like it and will definitely come back to try the beef!

Buy 1 get 1 50% off soup until end of Jan. Soup is tasty and comforting. While it looks huge (it's actually shallow), so the portion is just right. The rice is self serve and ayce with choice of white or purple rice. Normally, I wouldn't find ayce rice a draw, but this premium rice's texture is really good that I keep going back for more :) service is friendly and fast. Place is clean.

Fish With You, the largest Sauerkraut Fish chain in the world with more than 2,500 locations globally has arrived in Toronto. When you dine in, you can enjoy unlimited Wuchang rice, China's premium rice. We tried the the Laotan (snakehead) and Princess Tomato (beef) sauerkraut. Both dishes were filling and tasty. The Fried lamb with cumin was ok but the Mixed cilantro beef slices salad was a must-try. The Taro sago with balls reminded me of Halohalo and and Chinese sweet green bean soup was comforting.

Took advantage of their current promo for two sets with 2 drinks and snack for 38.99$ and free kids meal. The fish portion is slightly less. But it is unlimited rice. The pineapple drink was really refreshing. I would recommend to try during their promo pricing as regular price is 58.99$.

The food here is very generous. We ordered the 4-person set with two side pots. Tomato Braised Beef Brisket and Chicken Stewed with Mushrooms and the portions were huge. Both pots arrived steaming hot and filled to the brim, clearly meant for sharing. The braised beef was rich and hearty, while the chicken pot was comforting and full of flavor, making it perfect for group dining or cold weather meals. Combined with the rustic, traditional décor, it really feels like authentic Northeast Chinese comfort food. The food and atmosphere were excellent, though the service was a bit lacking. I had my food in my insulated bag, so the sauce leaked into the Fantuan bag and my insulated bag. Luckily, my car was fine. As a result, my rating is four stars. I wanted to try a new eatery. I looked at my Fantuan app and noticed He Bei Chinese Cuisine. It had dumplings and snacks that I enjoy, so I said yes to placing a dinner order from this eatery. I ordered these items: - Pork and chive steamed dumplings (large has 14 dumplings) - Tea eggs - Shredded potato salad On Fantuan, when you purchase $15 worth of food, you get the shredded potato salad for a cent. Deal! After placing my order near my home, I drove over to this eatery. The drive was ten minutes. I was given an estimated time of fifteen minutes. It was ready in ten minutes. I had no problem finding this eatery. There was plenty of parking. I pulled into a spot and walked in. I saw the Yubu sign. My heart sank, as I loved the Korean tofu pockets from this joint. I liked seeing places to sit down and eat at He Bei. Nice! A woman behind the counter came over. I said that I had a Fantuan order. She talked to me in Mandarin. I don't understand it, but we were fine communicating with each other in our languages. She pointed out the blue Fantuan bag on the table behind me. I thanked her and wished her a nice day. She said thanks right back. I put my food in my insulated bag. With the leak, I managed to launder the Fantuan bag and clean my insulated bag. After I cleaned up, I had dinner at home. The food was amazing and filling! I loved the shredded potato salad. Sure, a lot of the sesame-soy sauce was gone. However, it tasted yummy. It was worth the cent! The steamed pork and chive dumplings were so good. I didn't dunk them in soy sauce. The filling had so much moisture that I felt like I was eating soup dumplings. The filling had yummy flavour and the dumplings were steamed to perfection. Excellent! You can buy frozen dumplings from this place. I'll need to do it. The tea eggs were the perfect snack while streaming hockey games. I peeled the shells off both of them. The eggs were cracked to allow the amazing soy-based sauce to marinate and get into the eggs. Delicious! I'm a fan. I'll take a closer look at the lids on my food next time. I'm glad that I put food in my insulated bag. It saved cleaning my car's upholstery! (59)

So we ordered Maggi Lobster (~3lbs) for $34/lb, and stir fried beef with Chinese broccoli (gai lan). The lobster was cooked perfectly, with the Maggi sauce not being too salty. They definitely gave us all the pieces of the 3lbs lobster. The gai lan had a bitter aftertaste, which is common for this vegetable. I wished they had a way to get rid of that. They were generous with the amount of beef and was well marinated. The cut wasn't that great, but that is to be expected. I don't think they added much MSG or at least used good quality ones, as we did not feel overly thirsty later in the evening. They give free daily soup and dessert. What we were most impressive was with the service. The waiters were very attentive, changing our plates twice during our 1ish hour meal. The also gave us wet wipes and more napkins without us requesting it. They even offered us additional soup, which we declined as we were quite full.

The individual New Century slow boiled soup is hardest to share but secure some empty bowls and you can divide the hefty portion. In the winter, there's a silkiness to the piping hot consommé that sooths a dry throat and has an umami essence infused with abalone, ginseng, and pork. There's plenty to choose from in the house signature combo platter including roasted duck, soy sauce chicken, BBQ pork, pork slices, and seaweed salad. Saving my stomach for the later dishes, I had a taste of the duck (a good start with crispy skin) and BBQ pork (satisfactory and well flavoured). With the generous portion of chicken in the combo platter, the slow cooked chicken with abalone broth seemed like overkill. I've never been a huge fan of this dish that's served cold since I prefer chicken hot. Still, I understand it's the jelly layer between the skin and meat that people enjoy. And to be fair, the chicken was tender, and New Century certainly didn't skimp on the ginger and scallion oil. For those who tend to fill-up before the "main dishes", the stars of the combo arrive mid-meal. The stir-fried Vancouver crabs with silver fish in HK style spicy sauce needs to be eaten at arrival as the crunchy coating is best straight from the fryer. And despite not looking spicy, the dish has a light heat that permeates in the background. Additionally, the crab was fresh and meaty, cooked well so it remained delicately flakey. The amount of sweet and sticky sauce used in the stir-fried lobsters with scallion in Maggie sauce was well balanced, lightly covering the crustaceans. Both lobsters were substantial; even after eating many pieces, we still had plenty of leftovers. This is a long review head to Gastro World for the rest.
